The food was delicious and service was great. The restaurant is inside a Holiday Inn.

I love the quaint and rustic feeling of the space which contrasted with the elevated dining experience. The view of the Potomac from the courtyard and restaurant were spectacular The Strawberry Fields Forever specialty cocktail is a refreshing blend of strawberry, mint, and rum. The Palm Royale is just as delightful with St Elder and Pomegranate liqueurs with champagne. Ludmyla was very friendly and Alla the manager helped us out with gluten free options. We enjoyed the Hummingbird Salad, Shrimp Cocktail, Lobster Lemon Linguine (with GF pasta) and Steak Frites. The Crème Brûlée and Flourless Chocolate Torte were a decadent finale for a splendid meal. It is hard to believe such a great restaurant is located inside a hotel. Hotel Indigo is very fortunate.

However, I noticed that the…read moreprinted receipt reflected the mathematically correct total, while the bill presented for signature increased the amount by two cents. When I asked about the discrepancy, I was told the systems sometimes differ by a few cents. The adjustment was made when I requested to pay the correct total, but the response suggested that questioning "only two cents" was unreasonable. My concern was never the amount; it was the principle. When a customer is shown one accurate total and then asked to authorize a higher one without explanation, it creates the appearance of taking money that was not part of the stated charge. If I may add my two cents as a former patron and frequent restaurant guest: trust matters in a dining experience. Even a few unexplained pennies raise a reasonable question--if this occurs repeatedly throughout the day, where do those extra cents go? A couple of cents from one guest, a few more from another, eventually add up. Transparency in billing prevents that concern. When a discrepancy is presented without a clear explanation and a patron is made to feel foolish for asking about it, it leaves a bad taste, regardless of how enjoyable the meal may have been.

Originally we were going to Barca however they were crazy packed so we decided to just come here and I'm glad we did. We placed our name one the list to sit outside however we found a perfect spot at the bar. We love finding seats at the bar unfortunately there were no TV's but it was all good. More us time. My hunnie opted for an old Fashioned smoked with his fav Angel's Envy Rye and I tried the Balanced Algorithm. My drink was a bit toooo sweet!! Reminded me of a holiday drink lol but it was good. The "East Side" one of the bar tenders made was refreshing and delicious too! I really enjoyed this cocktail. It was giving Green Juice from Cabo with a shot of Hendricks lol For dinner my husband ordered the lamb chops. The lamb chops were fatty...not so much meat on them...however he said the flavor was good from what he was able to cut around. I ordered the mushrooms lasagna and it was just OK...very bland...& lacked flavor... The noodles were also a bit over cooked. I wasn't expecting crispy noodles. The sides were very good. We went with Brussels sprouts minus the bacon and the roasted sweet potatoes. Was a perfect date night. Perfect restaurant for date night, girls/guys nights out... Check them out! I'm glad we did. Happy Yelping!

It was delicious and the cheddar grits were good too. Paired together, it was a good portion size and the price was reasonable considering the amount of crab. My only slight complaint is there were a handful of small crab shell bits in there. I also tried the Fried Green Tomatoes ($11), which were pretty good as well. The place itself has a nice chill cozy vibe with an old fashioned wooden theme. There are 2 levels to the restaurant with a bar on the upper level. The staff are very friendly and the service speed is quick. Overall, I would definitely recommend Chadwicks for a good casual brunch in Alexandria.

I ordered a side Caesar salad, new England clam chowder, and their crab sandwich with fries. Food just wasn't great. Considering I haven't eaten all day, I feel like that's saying a lot. Um their sandwich wasn't horrible but I wouldn't get it again. They should of had some tartar sauce with it... the fries were actually pretty good. I had a ginger beer there and that was good as well. Bartender was fast, social, great communication and honestly the only reason I'd come back for a drink or something. He was just one of those chill dudes id probably hangout with... Not in a gay way being that I'm a straight guy lmao

I am glad we decided to give it a try. We started with coffee and the cast iron skillet cinnamon rolls. We were on a birthday trip and decided to throw out all the rules, and they were incredible! My wife said her traditional Eggs Benedict was the best she ever had. My Founding Farmers breakfast was standard but solid with the largest bowl of fruit I have ever seen served as a substitute item. We swapped the vodka for the Founding Spirits Bourbon and were not disappointed! We are looking forward to our next trip to the DC area so we can make our next visit!

I immediately took the top bun off, too many carbs and I am not a big bread eater. The boneless sammie came with cheese, sautéed onions, and slaw. Delish. I ate only few of the fries and instead focused on the sandwich since I didn't want a to-go bag of leftovers. My partner had the spicy(not hot) Fried chicken & biscuit with greens and mashed potatoes as sides. We could have split this between the 2 of us, it was so much. Instead she brought half the chicken and the biscuit home. We drank water.Service was very prompt since we ate during the early part of lunch time. The facility is very nice. Tables are spaced out, great. The space is larger than it seems from the outside. There are a few tables with umbrellas also. They were still in the shade when we left. Our bill came to almost $50 bucks minus 7 cents(including Va & Alexandria taxes). Park around the corner in the underground parking lot. Take your parking ticket with you and self-stamp it for 2 hours of free parking. Then walk thru the garage almost to the restaurant door.

The view itself is quite impressive and beautiful; it's a 5 out of 5! Frankly, the view helped bump my rating up to a 4 as it was really a 3.5 overall experience. We were greeted by a server that shared that he was not our server, but dropped off two waters for us. He later passed us again and told us our server would be with us soon, after some more time had passed we asked him for straws for our water and then our waitress came back with those requested straws. She didn't greet us, but rather said here are the straws you asked for, would you like anything to drink. I asked her if she was our server and she confirmed, but I was disappointed that she didn't greet us/welcome us, ask us if this was our first time, tell us her name or at minimum independently communicate she would be our server. My husband ordered a drink, I did not and then eventually we put in our orders - deviled eggs trio (one with smoked salmon, one with bacon and one with salmon), I got the crab benedict and my hubby got the salmon and grits. Both of our meals were good and cooked well, however they both lacked flavor and w found ourselves reaching for the salt and pepper multiple times. The deviled eggs trio on the other hand, was delicious and the star of the show. All in all, I can honestly say, I will definitely be back as the views are fantastic and I truly feel the food is better than what we experienced.

It had been a year since my last visit when the food and service was impressive. I knew that we were in store for a great dinner date. We were greeted by our waiter and seated immediately. They were running a special for 2 salads, 2 entrees, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine for $140. We both selected the salad, fruitti de mari, strawberries with Chantilly cream, and a piece of bread pudding. The Sauvignon Blanc arrived nicely chilled. Our waiter poured the wine into the glasses for us. Unfortunately, the glasses smelled like it was wiped with a cloth that had mildew on it. The manager was alerted and she poured us fresh wine into cleaner glasses. The salad was basic with their house dressing. Our entrees were underwhelming. The red sauce wasn't seasoned & the crabmeat was questionable. I was shocked to see a spiny lobster in my entree instead of a regular lobster. My lobster was mushy and had to be replaced. The 1/2 piece of bread pudding and cup of strawberries was alright. I appreciate the manager for what she did to fix the problems, but the quality of the food unfortunately has gone down. The quality of food we received didn't match the price point.

You have to order your food from the front register so no waiter (which is fine) we ordered some bbq tacos, BBQ chicken eggrolls, BBQ tot nachos, key lime pie and bread pudding along with cherry cola and sweet tea. In our honest opinion the only items that were good were the BBQ chicken eggrolls and the cherry cola. Everything was subpar. The key pie was grainy and lacked key lime flavor. The bread pudding was overly sweet and was very hard to eat. My BBQ tots were odd. The cheese sauce that was used tasted pastey and lacked flavor. The BBQ meat that was added to the nachos didnt add any flavor or depthness to the nachos. Lastly the tacos were flavorless, had to cover in the Chipotle BBQ sauce to eat them. Unfortunately the food made us both sick an hour after eating it. We both had upset stomachs. Im not sure what was the items that caused out stomachs to do that but I will not be going back to this place.
