We've been enjoying the Bistro for several years now. My husband and I come in usually on a Thursday for date night and sit at the bar. We love the cocktails, my favorite is the Mojito. However, I did ask for Sangria one night and the Bartender was able to create it on the fly. It too was delicious. We've had everything on the menu and never once was disappointed. We really enjoyed our dinner last night! The tempura lobster appetizer was outstanding as well as the meatballs (3 large ones) to start. Lobster ravioli, cheese ravioli, and salmon with fruit salsa and rice were all delicious and cooked perfectly. Our waiter Ivan was so sweet. The chocolate soufflé is worth it! Nice ambiance both inside and outside. Service was not rushed which was nice. Started out with The Jupiter mojitos for the 3 of us. They made perfectly and no skimping; large and reasonable. Next were the Caesar salads and Brie cheese appetizer which were outstanding. Main courses I had the seafood over linguini in a delicious sauce. My father in law had the rack of lamb which he enjoyed and cooked medium the way he likes. My wife had the chicken bistro with stuffing and a red cabbage side which she loved. All dishes were nicely presented. Desserts were next; 2 soufflés, one was a grand marnier and the other was chocolate. Both were above the top and tasty. Charming Bistro is one of the best restaurants around. We were impressed by the offerings and enjoyed everything from fresh tuna, chicken tempura (an absolute standout), and red snapper in parchment. The bread is wonderful too and so is the seasoned olive oil, chopped liver, and butter on offer. the If you are a chocolate fan, the chocolate soufflé is a rarity and a must. We chose this restaurant because of the stars. Well, that was a huge mistake. We made reservations. We were seated. After that it was all downhill. Service was incredibly slow. We waited about 20 minutes before a waiter even approached our table. When waiter did arrive, he asked if we wanted drinks and we asked for water he said he would be back. 20 minutes later we asked where our waiter was. Finally, he returned. We ordered. 30 minutes later the soup arrived. Warm not hot. Then another 30 minutes for our dinner. The food was nothing to rave about. As requested, we ordered the soufflé, when we placed our dinner order. How could it not be ready 90 minutes later. Then we get an outrageous bill. I will never return here. Every .Single.Time !!! I have eaten there on countless occasions and the staff always endeavor to make me feel like I am the most important guest in the room ( despite it being consistently busy and no prizes for guessing why) It is a bonus, and rare in the trade, that the proprietor Declan is typically on hand to greet and make everyone feel like family. Ok So this was a Valentines dinner, I ordered the Beef Wellington, wife ordered the Veal chop. Veal chop was great, Beef Wellington not so much. I ordered it Med Rare simple enough comes out split in half and seared on a flat top, or should I say burned. Steam from flat top made the pastry soft and mushy. Not good at all. Service was great in bar, front reception confused at best, waitress was acceptable. Tried to get attention of manager but ignored my overly loud comments while he was in ear shot of table and waitress was unapologetic. Won't rush back but will go again just not on Valentines Day. read more

This my second time eating here. First was during covid when myself and my wife were celebrating my American residency. My friend had called ahead to buy us a bottle of wine and our experience was unreal. From when we walked in the door to be greeted by the maitre d to our server and the support staff. Food was unbelievable and staff really went the xtra mile to help us celebrate. We came back for dinner for first time in forever and weren't disappointed. Maitre d was awesome. Server great and sold us on two great specials on the night. There was so many things on the menu that I wanted but I stuck with the beef wellington. Cooked to perfection and piping hot. Drinks came out quickly and specialty cocktails tasted great. Support staff were on it. Kept our waters filled at all times and cleared away any plates from table straight away. read more

Very disappointing. Took 35 minutes for two glasses of house cabernet when we sat down. 90 minutes until entrees. And then every time something was put in front of us people just kept trying to clear it away. It was like a race to take away plates. Service was a total disaster. No manager ever checked in. Met friends that suggested this place as having a great happy hour. We did have a good time but it will be quite sometime till we return. The bar area was full with what appeared to be regulars, so we asked to be seated at one of the many empty tables adjacent to the bar. This seemed to throw the host for a loop. He paused for quite a while to ponder our request before calling out "where's Louis?" This produced a chorus around the restaurant of "anybody see Louis", "find Louis", "get Louis", "can somebody get Louis". It reminded us of a SNL skit (when it was actually funny) with a french accented Dan Aykroyd running a screwed up restaurant and would stall the customers with the repeated line, "and now my daughter (a pigtailed Gilda Radner) will play the recorder for you". Finally Louis appeared with a clipboard and wearing a wireless headset. He consulted with the host chatting and pointing, shaking heads and more discussion. I think the invasion on D-Day took less discussion. Finally we were seated. It was all very Twilight Zone like. The waiter quickly brought dinner menus and we requested the bar food menu. This seemed to require special dispensation (perhaps from Louis) but we did get the requested menu. Keep in mind please, the joint is empty and we're sitting six feet away from the bar! I realize they may have had upcoming reservations but it was still early and sometimes you need to go with the flow. Along with drinks we each had a small plate appetizer; mine was six or so beef chunks in a brown sauce and my partner had three small tacos with some filling other than Mexican, and friends had similar apps. Honestly I no longer remember the food specifics but will say everything was beautifully prepared and excellent. None of us looked at the prices, hell it's happy hour in a strip center in Jupiter, so eight drinks and four apps were $190.00 with tip and I was still hungry for dinner. We received one from a passing hostess and a few minutes after ordering the desert, our bill was on the table, but not the desert. The bill was incorrect and not being able to find our server, we (again) spoke to a passing hostess, who quickly corrected it. Our server came asking whether our bill was OK. We told him that the bill was correct providing that we receive the two deserts we were still waiting for. That was a surprise to him, but five or so minutes later our desert was finally served. I wish I could give this place 0 stars and just leave a negative review. Or even a separate review for how amazing the food is and to spare the chefs hard work. However, the service was so unbelievably terrible. I don't have enough room here to stress just how bad, but trust that I am a former fine-dining server, so my critique is just. For one, our server, Megan, was cold, impatient and rude. She neglected to keep our water glasses filled, left trash on the table, and left several empty plates. All this despite walking past our table often and me pushing everything to the end of the table to try to help. She also charged us for an entire bottle of wine we never ordered. Solid 3-star, but nothing more. They have the best Dover sole in the area, and fish and chips are good as well. Stray too far from those and its a gamble - especially at these prices. Very gracious hosts, and service our last time was professional and crisp. Caesar salad (which I order frequently since its a pretty good benchmark) was more than enough with just the 1/2 portion - the regular portion comes in a boat and is enough for three. I'm guessing that the average patron here (age ~75+) like their salad under-dressed and without much flavor: no hint of anchovy (even though there was one ON the lettuce) or lemon...as though risking either of those would result in a flurry of AARP cardholders sending salads flying back to the kitchen. Hey, its your business - not mine. Lobster ravioli would have benefitted from a lighter pasta and better presentation. Even a cliche dusting with chives would have made it infinitely more appealing - instead it comes with a less-than-appetizing orange-colored sauce. The taste was good (not great), but it would have tasted better if it looked better - even home cooks know that. Fish and chips are executed well, but I could have had two orders of the same caliber at another, less expensive venue. I will say that the food is dependably good - not great - but its also quite pricey, which is why it gets only three stars. read more
