Very pleased with our experience at Bistro 107. Staff was friendly and attentive providing great guidance on menu selections and timely service. Food was amazing. We had a house veggie burger and a chicken sandwich. Both were terrific. The house veggie patty was very flavorful and stayed mostly intact for the entire consumption. Chicken sandwich was tender, moist, and appropriately sized. I am not a fan of brioche buns (they fall apart) but these held up nicely. Quaint location with both indoor and outdoor dining options. Server was nice and helpful but did not pay attention to the quality of the food, which was unremarkable. Any time I pay $50 for lunch outside of San Francisco, LA or NYC and there is no alcohol involved, I ask that my calamari not be served overcooked, as in not 30 seconds from burnt. That's the plate that the cook or the server makes sure doesn't go to the table. Special pulled pork dish was bland, plated with 'cajun' fries comparatively prepared better at Chick-fil-A. Beverage menu was good. Nothing on this food menu exceeds a trip to Trader Joe's and a few minutes in the kitchen. No way I'm spending money on a place that doesn't take dining seriously but wants to charge you as if they do. read more

BESTRO 107 Ok, we've been here a hundred times or more...and that should tell you something. We slip in to a comfortable bar stool while everyone is trying to get a table outside in the shade...we got shade, front row service, beer and wine at our fingertips, excellent menu. Hide in plain sight works well for us. I have the soft shell crab BLT...everyone should. It's a BTL, fried crab...lord you would have to understand the complexity of the situation! Sure you've had a BLT but have you had a fried shrimp head or a whole grilled lobster? That tomalley flavor, the crunch, poboy jam, BLT...that what you got with this sandwich...dude you gotta have it now! The rest of the menu is good...so I am told. This is a great place to get some great food, wine, and unique beers. This is definitely a local's place, the type of place I want to eat in. There were several people inside who all knew everyone. I ordered the local red wine and the blue cheese burger with a salad. Hubby ordered a pulled pork sandwich (no coleslaw) with fries. Everything was really delicious! I didn't even mind that my burger was cooked well. I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked, but it might not matter. We wanted dessert, but we were stuffed! Food - Just ok, salmon sandwich was very over cooked and shrimp was far from cooked, pretty raw. I shouldn't pay $16 for a lettuce sandwich. Told the server and she didn't do anything about it. Onion rings were really heavy and not great. Side salad came with wilted lettuce and some poorly chopped carrot shreds. Service - Servers were yelling over all the customers at each other and from inside the restaurant to outside. Ambiance - nice restaurant but they sat us next to a very loud table when they could have spaced everyone out more, there were only 3 parties at the place, we didn't need to be on top of each other. After a long and hot drive up to Mount Shasta all my husband could think about for dinner was a cold beer and a good hamburger. It was a hot evening, we had walked over from our B&B, and were a bit disappointed to discover that there was no air conditioning inside the bistro. We chose to be seated outside and in the shade the 90 degree weather was bearable. Bring on the cold water and the cold beer. The bistro has a good selection of beers on tap for very reasonable pricing. The hamburger (the classic cheeseburger without cheese for us) was just that, a classic hamburger. The French fries were thin and crispy, the perfect frites. Location was great. Food was good. Service was responsive. We will return, hoping for cooler weather the next time. read more

Great food and great service! I came here a couple of months ago when I was visiting Mt. Shasta. They had an amazing sockeye salmon burger and I loved every bite of it. My family concurred that the food was really good - good enough to return on a short trip - they said the pulled pork sandwich and the po' boy were excellent. They were serving a lot of local/Californian drinks, which was a nice touch. Our server the first time around was Donny and he was great! The owner was pretty friendly as well. The second time we came, they were a little busier and therefore not as attentive, but that's understandable, especially during the pandemic. My only qualm was that there were a lot of flies circling us as we were eating, but that does make a little sense since we were outside. However, it wasn't the most pleasant experience for the whole party. The food was definitely worth it, though! Just would have liked to enjoy it in a little more peace. Tip: It can get pretty busy so it helps to call ahead for a reservation if you have a larger party. read more

Mt Shasta is a cute little mountain town and I'm glad we were able to stop here when visiting McCloud. The bistro had easy parking just outside the restaurant. Service was really great and they even had a sippy cup for my niece. We started off with the calamari and it came with a ginger sesame slaw that was unexpected but pretty good. It was flavorful and the notes of ginger and sesame weren't too heavy. I had the chamelot burger. Lots of goat cheese and bacon. The onions were cooked perfectly as well. The brioche by was also delicious and don't get soggy. I could take or leave the garlic fries. Seemed like the regular fries with some minced garlic thrown on top. read more

Stoped here for lunch on our long drive to Portland looked like a nice place to sit outside get some fresh air and enjoy a good lunch. Very good food but damn $19 for a salad little bit pricy for my taste, they had good pricing on beers and wines but not so much on the food. I had the beet salad with chicken and the boys had burgers, only iced tea and soda and the bill was $60. Luckily we're on vacation and not to worried about the $$$ probably wouldn't come here often if we lived in the area though. read more

The servers were friendly and had solid suggestions but slightly inattentive, with long waits for initial drinks and refills. Pros: Food is okay...not great. Anything that comes from the sea is definitively was frozen prior, but that's expected here. Halibut burger was definitely frozen. Salads were at least fresh. Service is good. Waitress was mostly attentive. Cons: No restroom for paying customers. First time I've ever eaten in an establishment said "no restroom". I guess this is a thing at some restaurants in California? Seriously if the owners are reading this, I simply cannot recommend a restaurant if you don't provide the facilities of a full service restaurant. Never happened in any other state. Where am I supposed to pee out the beer that I just purchased and consumed from your establishment? On the front door, perhaps, as I exit and never return? I am unsure where to begin. We went there on 10/5/21 at 6pm. No fault of chef, who made good food but service was the most awful experience we ever had. We were so awestruck by unprofessional behavior of the server. After the seating, it took them 31min to show up and take the order. Then, additional 25min later she came back to inform us that the bread we ordered was not available anymore. There was no courtesy extended for all this wait and their inattentiveness, not even a casual "sorry for the delay." We we're about to leave after wait of an hour when food showed up and that even wasn't full order. Additional sauces we had ordered never showed up and server additionally showed rude attitude when I reminded her of missing sauces and additional napkins. Overall, a terrible experience. Came in for lunch after a day full of hiking and walking around. It's nice that this place is so close to Lake Siskiyou. We arrived and wanted to sit outdoor to enjoy the beautiful fall day. We were seated after a few minutes of waiting at the bar, which gave us time to read the draft list. We both had the veggie burger. I opted for sweet potato fries and garlic aioli, he did the garlic fries. I was really appreciative to find a place with a house made veggie burger. Our food came out really quick. The portions were very generous. Our fries were delicious. The garlic aioli is perfect. The veggie burger was huge. I wish it had some more flavor in the patty itself. The bun was yummy.
