Exceptional experience! Took the 171 down PCH from DTLB right to their front door on Main St. Seal Beach. Easy, no need to worry about parking. We were after their Nicoise Ahi Salad. It's tough to find a Nicoise salad around town, and even harder to find a good one. BSG did not disappoint. Fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. They have a very interesting menu, but we stayed with just soup and salad. Add a nice cold and crisp glass of French white wine. Also the whole side of the restaurant opens up to enjoy the fresh sea breeze. Definitely worth the adventure!

I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed this place. It has a great atmosphere and even a small market inside. You don't find many spots like this anymore. The French onion soup was excellent and the caesar salad was just as good. The portions are small and the prices are high, but it is worth it.

I have been here before and enjoyed it...today, I came with a group of friends for lunch. I ordered the Quiche Lorraine. I must say that this was a very disappointing meal. The quiche appeared to have been prepared in a large rectangular casserole. Apart from the non traditional appearance, it wasn't good Our wait staff was efficient and friendly.

Came back after first trying this French bistro in Seal Beach . Went for lunch and hopefully a stroll along Seal Beach old town boulevard on a chill midweek day . A Facebook food influencer reminded me to come back and try the French onion soup . The bistro have grown and expanded to include a country store with wine . Sitting at a table by the window certainly add a European feel to dining experience. Love that it's a family run establishment with owners on site and enthusiastic. Food was good for classic French offerings . The total experience was charming and relaxing . Bought from the store and got the ten percent off if you dine same day .

A good spot for French food on Main Street in Seal Beach. Okey service (yes I witnessed worst), slow most of the time so if you come here expected great, fast service then don't - if you got new or experienced staff then you will get fast service on drinks but foods wise....not so sure on that. It's a great dinning area with full bar and decent bartenders, but if you order just wines, and beers then you're good but cocktails...just okey. Nice presentation of the foods, taste is just good, nothing standout. The room is greatly decor with cool posters and they opened a store next door so you get grabs to go. It's a great place for friends/family get together for pleasure evening or brunch to catch with things.

Yum. I love a good beef bourguignon and snails.. who doesn't!? Am I right? This place is locally owned and they are soccer (football) lovers. They also speak French. They have a local crowd and a good amount of seats. This is downtown seal beach. It's a cute spot. Parking can be somewhat tricky but at the end of the street, across PCH there is a larger parking lot if needed. I would like to go back soon.. it's been a while.

Service: was amazing! Staff was friendly, attentive and very informative when it comes to recommendations. Food: food was delicious, the escargot was very flavorful, the beef stuff was served as a big portion, the beef was tender the veggies were soft and easy to chew. The pork chop was okay it might needed a little more time to cook. Ambiance: felt like you were in Europe. It had a restaurant as well as a shop right inside

I have always wanted to come here as a local but tonight was the first time I did. I will absolutely be back here. Not only is the burger amazing but Abby went above and beyond when she saw I was struggling with my ice pack (my arm is swollen from an injury I had yesterday) and got me real ice in a real bag instead. Oh my goodness- I am so extremely grateful. Thank you

    Yes

    Do we need a reservation?

No unless you have a large group! If you are going at peak hours, a reservation doesn't hurt but i have never needed one.

Do they still offer bottomless mimosas? I can't find anything on the website but past Yelp reviews state they did.

    Yes for $15.

When we arrived we were told there was no chef so only a few items could be made from the menu. I chose a flatbread but was then told they had no gluten free bread. So we had to get the charcuterie which was so small and cost $30. Really ridiculous price for something with a few pieces of meat, cheese, grapes and nuts. The wine was good, and the tastings were generous and I know it is a wine bar but the day was really spoiled by not having a lunch there. I don't think I would go there again. When I made the reservation, I was asked whether we were celebrating a special occasion. I said yes--it was my friend's birthday. When we arrived, our server acknowledged it by saying, "I hear we're celebrating a birthday," which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the service went downhill from there. We waited quite a while before our server took our order, even though she attended to two nearby tables multiple times first. I couldn't help but notice that those tables appeared to receive more attentive service than we did. I don't know the reason, but it certainly left us feeling overlooked. We ordered three dishes to share, yet we rarely saw our server afterward. In fact, we had more interaction with the busser than with our server. After brunch, two dessert menus were silently dropped on our table by someone other than our server. Since the restaurant had asked about the birthday twice--once during the reservation and again upon arrival--it felt odd. It almost gave the impression they thought we were expecting a complimentary dessert, even though we never asked for one. We ordered a single dessert to share, and our server eventually brought it out, then returned moments later with a candle. I don't expect complimentary desserts or special treatment. My only suggestion is this: if a restaurant asks guests whether they're celebrating a special occasion, there should be some meaningful acknowledgment--or simply don't ask. Otherwise, it creates unnecessary expectations. More than anything, I felt disappointed for my friend, whose birthday brunch should have felt more welcoming and memorable. FOOD The meal itself was a mix of highs and lows. The standouts were the peaches and burrata and the blue oyster mushroom pizza--both were excellent. The baked eggs, however, missed the mark because the yolks were completely overcooked and solid. The burnt cheesecake was another disappointment. While Basque cheesecake should have a deeply caramelized, dark brown exterior, this one was so blackened that it tasted bitter. One helpful tip: mimosas are available even though they aren't listed on the menu. They cost $18 per glass. ATMOSPHERE The restaurant itself is beautiful. The modern design and patio-style seating create a bright, inviting space with a pleasant breeze on a nice day. Unfortunately, the inattentive service overshadowed what could have been a wonderful atmosphere. Would I return? No. There are too many restaurants that make guests feel genuinely welcomed, and I'd rather support those establishments.

I showed up around 5pm and sure enough there was already a line forming in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is located around a neighborhood, so you have to find street parking, which can be challenging. I already did my research on what I wanted to order, so my process went fairly smoothly. I imagine some other people were not as prepared and asked a lot of questions at the counter which can make the wait time even longer for other people in line. We ordered caesar salad, pizza focaccia with soppressata, squid ink tonnerelli, and ribeye tagliata. We also ordered some glasses of wine. After ordering, they walked us to our table inside. This location used to be a bbq restaurant- shady grove- before they closed down. And wow I was so impressed by the change of the patio vibe. It looked way nicer now under Due Fuori. I truly believe the vibe of a restaurant is equally important to the quality of the food, and this place nailed it. Also, apparently you can still order more stuff even after you're seated. They don't really have dedicated server for each table but the service was pretty efficient in my opinion. Now the food, everything was delicious, I have no notes! Caesar salad, very good. Pizza, omg amazing. And I'm not a pizza kinda person, so this is really a compliment! It's the thick kind of pizza, and they put some honey on it too which makes it even more delicious to me. Next was the squid ink pasta, another delightful dish. My only complaint is that it's not big enough of a portion, haha! The ribeye tagliata was so good. It was served with some salad that's very refreshing. The server explained to us that the original dish comes with the greens and cherry tomatoes underneath the meat, but they serve it separately to keep the freshness and crunch. The meat has some nice crust on the outside, very flavorful. We ended up taking some of the ribeye home, as we were already really full. It was plenty of food to share between two people. I definitely will come back to try other dishes, especially the other popular pasta dishes. This place has been really popular and I heard the line is still long even after a few months (or maybe it has been a year now?). It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.

For $50 for a couple, you get your choice of appetizer, two entrees, and gelato for dessert.
