So glad I came here to support this business that hires people with disabilities and the coffee and service in my opinion is as good or even better than that mega coffee chain that we all go to. They have special frappes if you want something sweet to drink. They also have all your standard coffee based drinks. You can add drink flavors as well. Baked goods are also available. I also love the personalized messages the employees write on the cups and bags. If your looking for barista hipster coffee I suggest other places in town. If you don't know about B&B's mission, do yourself a favor and educate yourself by checking out their website. Not only is their mission of empowering people with special needs incredible, so is their coffee. I had an iced latte with chocolate and almond milk. Usually, I have to add some sugar or extra milk to make it exactly how I like, but the barista made this latte perfect. Kenneth worked the register and recommended the chocolate flavoring & I'm so glad I added it. It was perfect. The added touch was the sweet note on the cup that read, "reach for the stars". Visited today! Great service. The young lady at the front was very friendly and offered great suggestions. I tried a latte and the new sweet chicken and waffles. It was delicious! Chicken seasoned well along with a tasty waffle! Nice ambiance. There's a wall in the back with a large mural of a map to place pin to indicate where you traveled from. Love, love, love the mission of Bitty & Beau's! This coffee shop was founded in honor of the owners children with Down Syndrome - you can even see some of their home videos on the tv near the front. I love all things coffee but the positive vibes can be felt from the moment you walk in. The ordering process is very straight forward and the cashier was super kind and happy at seeing us two days in a row - the coffee is great! I ordered an iced caramel latte with almond milk. Each cup gets a special message and you're handed a playing card that will be called when your order is ready. This place literally melted my heart! Yes, they're inclusive of those with disabilities and YES, they're efficient with getting your order out to you quickly! The first day, the young lady called out my playing card and when I walked up to pick it up she was quick to let me know I was really pretty and that she was going to get braids like mine when she goes on vacation - I mean who doesn't love a compliment with their coffee?! Also, don't forget to grab a pin and stick it on the map wall to represent where you're from (sorry, NC, SC, GA natives it's pretty full in those areas so just take a pic). There's the map wall in the back that's perfect for pics and then there's also the coffee bean wall in the front. Strike a pose and take a pic! Remarkably pristine and clean space. The menu is clearly written out, the pastry display is lovely and uncluttered, as are the souvenirs. It is roomy inside with plenty of seating. No outdoor seating but located near a square to sit and enjoy your spoils. My latte with sugar free hazelnut and oat milk was very good, my husband liked, didn't love, his espresso. The line is long typically but it's worth the wait. The options were simple: coffee, tea, lattes, some pastries and even smoothies. I ordered an iced coffee the first time I visited. The coffee comes black and you put in the cream and sugar as I wished, which was perfect for me because I could measure everything out on my own. Orders come quickly and they also have a ton of merchandise you can buy to support them from coffee mugs, beach towels, various clothing, and even journals. The story and mission behind Bitty & Beau's Coffee (BBC) is so heartwarming and inspirational and it will give you all the warm and fuzzies from the moment you walk in. Amy Wright, Bitty & Beau's mother, Founder and CEO, won CNN Hero of the Year in 2017 for her work. If you've already figured it out, the inspiration behind the company are Bitty and Beau, two of her children who were born with Down Syndrome. The company strives to create jobs for individuals with developmental disabilities and are included in the workplace. My first visit to a BBC was actually their location in Charleston almost two summers ago. At the time, one of the managers had told us that a location in Savannah was opening soon. It was such great timing since we had just moved to the area back then! Since then, we've visited frequently. - Parking - It's located right off of Ellis Square and one street over from City Market. Parking on the street may be a little tricky around here it being prime tourist traffic, narrow streets and sharing the road with horse and buggy. Your best bet is to park a few streets further and just walk or Whitaker parking garage is off of Ellis Square in the opposite side. - TLC - The staff there is truly what makes each BBC location special. Each shop is run by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and they take such pride in what they do! I'm always greeted warmly and they're always eager to know what I think about my order. - Vibe - The space is a little narrow, but the shop runs far back. It's a pretty open concept with the whole coffee bar to the left (with barstool seating) and traditional seating with tables and chairs running along the right. It's counter service here. When you order, they give you a card from a deck of cards and call out that card when your order is ready. They have an awesome mural toward the back with a map of the world and they have some pins by the pick up counter where you can pin where you are from. - Noms & Sips - I've had various things there. They have different flavored muffins, but Double Chocolate Muffins are my fave. I'm not sure if they make it in house, but a decent size and moist. As for drinks, I've had things like their hot Chai, Lattes, but my fave has got to be the blended Mocha Frappe! The menu is not extensive, yet, enough options to give you a good variety. I've never been a fan of extensive menus anyway. Too many choices give me Order Anxiety. They usually have a handful of different muffin flavors and a decent range of hot and cold drinks. Add BCC to your collections and check them out once this craziness is over. They already have a handful of locations up the east coast. A warm cup of Joe with a smiling face will surely be the very thing we need once things go back to normal and we can go out again freely! read more

Ever since seeing the 2017 CNN Hero of the Year, I've been wanting to check out Bitty & Beau's. After scheduling a trip to Savannah, this was on the top of my list! Bitty & Beau's is really conveniently located in the super walkable area of downtown Savannah. The coffee shop is really large with plenty of tables to enjoy your treats in the shop, meet with friends, do some work, etc. I also really liked the mural depicting where in the world patrons are from! Awesome service and a great experience. I love everything that Bitty & Beau's stands for, and the quality of the product almost seems irrelevant when writing this review, but I can say the coffee (I went with a plain iced coffee) was delicious.
