This place is such a low key bar! My boyfriend and I had such a great time. A nice space to watch sports, good drinks and a good time. Thank you to our bartender, Jessica... our drinks were on point! We definitely will be back

They are not serving food right now (really just reopening from Covid) but a decent crowd, 2 pool tables, cute bartender, and great dj. Hope they can bring back food soon!

NO.. not my kind of place. I stopped by around 8pm on Friday night and it was dead. The vibe is like this: remember when you were a teenager and one of the homies threw a kickback in his garage and charged for beers. that's what this place felt like to me. there is absolutely no parking lot the beers on tap are super cold, but it tastes like their lines are dirty and need to be flushed out. the bartender was sweet but spent most of the time texting on her cellphone and not paying attention to the few guests that were there unless they called for her attention. this isn't named for the Long Beach State Dirtbags baseball team.. it's a "biker bar" according to the bartender.

A good night calls for a Red Stripe with a Mexican Lollipop (Watermelon) on the side!

Last night was the first time I've been to Dirtbag Bar along with a few friends. It had a chill laid back vibe and I like that. It wasn't crowded for a Thursday night which I also love, but not sure how it gets on other days. They also serve Red Stripe which I don't always find at bars so that's a plus! Oh and they have $5 shots...we had the Mexican Lollipop (watermelon flavor) and it was delicious! Definitely will have that again and try out the other flavors. The bartender was also awesome...she was very attentive and nice :) oh and they have 2 pool tables and that's always fun! Support local businesses and check this spot out :)

Listen guys I'm not typically into liquor, I'm not really into any mixed drinks or anything of that sort. However, as I was browsing for a place to watch the Canelo/ChavezJr. fight I came across this place and saw a shit load of reviews about their watermelon drink. I must say, it was outstanding. Perhaps one of the best mixed drinks I had in my life for someone who doesn't drink liquor as often but used to ages ago ;) I ended up having 3 rounds along with my friend. One of the things I was very pleased with was their clean restroom. Also never been to a bar that had such clean restrooms so that was a plus in my book. The bartenders here were really pretty and were super nice as well. Parking kinda sucks but you can't have it all. I will definitely keep this bar in mind if ever want to stop by for some drinks again. So go ahead and order that watermelon drink girls!

If you didn't know what you were looking for you would drive right past it. Which is exactly what happened to us. After a u turn and some re routing we arrived at Dirtbag Bar. Due to name and location, I thought it would be themed around the Cal State Long Beach Dirtbag baseball team. Unfortunately there just didn't seem to be much of anything. An uninterested bartender, a broken pool table, and an overall blah vibe. I ordered a Michelada which was fine. My dad's beer was, well, a beer, and my mom's Wardlow Mule was pretty rank. They used an alcohol (I'm assuming a vodka?) that I had never heard of before. Not great. All three drinks were under $20, so the price point seems ok. Not a place I would make a special trip for but if you're bored and in the area it's an ok option.

Saturday night out w my best friend. We were right up the street at Roxannes first but their music got a little weird so we headed out. We then went to 4th street and remembered why we don't have nights out in LB I went on yelp and saw this place, we had initially drove by it at firat and didnt even know it. We drove by and were a little reluctant to go in but we heard them playing PEACHES AND CREAM by 112 and said yeah let's get off!! We go in and have a seat, there's plenty of seating. 1 of the bartenders let's us know they have free popcorn and the pool table was free !! We played pool and the dj was super legit. Playing rap and hip hop all night long. This is for sure my new spot. I kind of wish for it to stay low key (there was like 20 people there. who likes to dance in big sweaty crowds, not I) but i do wish for this business to be successful So anyway, they have 2 restrooms and a cool outside area where you can also hear the music. They have a taco man out there with 2$ tacos!! So happy I found this place !! I usually drive to downtown LA to get this vibe

5 stars just doesn't seem like enough for this bar. If you live in the area or are visiting Cali..,this is a Bar you definitely want to visit. The atmosphere is upbeat and multi cultural. The Bartenders are kind and had more than one recommendation. You truly get the essence of the LBC. I live in Newport but rather to the Dirtbag Bar.

The one pool table they have
    Chantel S.

Better than the previous bar. Bartenders are amazing &they have a buy one get one free special for the ladies only. They have a taco man out bacc too. What more can you ask for. The music has also upgraded lol. The only downside is that there is only one pool table.

They also serve their own pizza here, but as I mentioned before, I was here for the barbecue with the Cambodian celebration happening in the parking lot. Definitely wanna come back and try the pizza though. On the day that I went, they had a mariscos vendor that sold delicious ceviches. Note that during peak dinner hours, the wait times for pizza from Thunderbolt can be close to 30 minutes. I went with Ambitious Ale's Central Perk, which was a blonde ale with madagascar vanilla and guatemalan coffee notes, and these flavors were surprisingly present and not subtle. They had tons of unique flavor options here and I definitely would love to come back to try some cold ones with some pizza. Their fruity options were pretty popular with my work group. Their Jollibeer (inspired by the Peach and Mango pies at Jollibee) was a lager with mango and peach puree. The beers I had were crisp, full flavored, and ice cold. Perfect at the end of a work week! It's really nice that they have a nice space in the back to host a group of two or a group of twenty. This is a great pillar in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood.

We had the food delivered in 3 separate instances. In one instance the staff member delivered an order of wings. When I told him the order was incomplete, I was questioned and asked for a receipt. When I showed him the receipt, he moved to another table and removed an order of wings from other patrons and handed it to us. It is unsanitary to give food to strangers and then take it back and give it to me. I asked him if that's how they operate, giving food to others, later taking it back, and giving it to the right table. A couple of minutes later, I had gestapo managers Taylor and Christy searching for me. When I identified myself, they questioned if I had called their staff a "ret@rd." They did not let up. My friend and I were shocked. I described the situation and exactly what I said. The food being mishandled and then being falsely accused of using a slur, such a wild and awkward experience. I noticed Ambitious Ales now provides a disclaimer when ordering from Thunderbolt via QR code. Now it all makes sense. Regardless, you can't have restaurant managers coming over to your business and making wild accusations. Completely unacceptable.

Simple food goes a long way. There were a couple of us so we grabbed a few things to share. Started off with the pretzel balls with cheese dip and honey mustard and the chips with queso cheese dip. Pretzel was tasty and outdid the queso dip. Pizzas of course which were pretty big in sizes. A couple of the pizzas and a salad did four of us with leftovers. Their Hawaiian pizza was quite tasty and was finished. We also ordered one of the mushroom pizzas with an egg. It was tasty but a little on the salty side. The arugula salad was delicious.
