Excellent service, incredible atmosphere. I love this place. The service I received was excellent. I'm a beer fan, and they knew exactly the type of beer I like. The owners are very attentive. I really liked their snacks, the pickled eggs. You have to try them.

Came here for an engagement party so not sure how much I can review as 100% the establishment. Regardless, had a great time here and would 8/10 return. Had a beer to drink (forgot the name) as well as Pinot noir (Called Old Soul 2020 and honestly one of the best Pinots I've had). We were seated outside due to the large party for the engagement party. This was the height of the heat wave so it was pretty toasty though it was evening. They only had one fan outside but I've noticed that most establishments haven't had fans outside during this heat one. So one is better than none. UPDATE: they reached out, 5 stars

Found me another watering hole in the LBC Didn't know about this place as I guess it was closed for a while. Found it yesterday when looking for a place to go to, to drown my sorrows. Or at the least drink them away. Kidding aside ... On Willow. Southside of the street between Magnolia and Eucalyptus. No private parking lot. Street parking. Found a bunch on Eucalyptus and walked over. I don't trust parking on Willow. But you do what you feel comfortable. Service was awesome. Between Letty and Didi - hope I spelled their names right - my friend and I had a chill time catching up, out on their outdoor patio. On that note - there's seating both in and outside, two TV's and a pool table. Jukebox with a great selection of tunes. At least it was to me. For those who need to know - there's a gender neutral bathroom. Clean too. No food here but a lot of pours. Draft and both bottles and cans. Great Happy hour prices to where I questioned my bill because it was so low. Usually it's the other way around. You can bring food in or there's an agreement with the Bread Company. I really like this place. On my list of "definitely will be back".

Always wanted to check out this place after they took new ownership and remodeled the place. Service - The staff here is super friendly and very easygoing and will go out of the way to make your stay feel great. Venue - From outside the place looks tiny, but once you get inside, the place is a good size, and the outside patio is very chill and relaxing. Prices - Fair pricing. Drinks - They only serve beer and wine, but the selection is great, and they always have samples of different stuff. Food - They will soon get food going, but in the meantime, they offer some great Filipino style peanut and sometimes have colabs with food vendors that cook up a great meal. Overall, it was a great place and will be my go-to in accession.

PBS is a great spot in Wrigley, especially for taco tuesdays. The bartender is very nice. We had a La Chouffe and San Miguel as happy hour specials, then a passion fruit ale later on. Our shrimp tacos were good, but the chips and guacamole were excellent. Those may be the best fresh tortilla chips I've ever had. We don't live in Wrigley, but I wish our neighborhood had a PBS Pub too.

When they ask if you want peanuts, say yes!

Our mozzarella sticks finally arrived after a long wait, only to have no cheese inside them. We then waited another 30 minutes for a replacement order that never came. When we expressed our frustration about the excessive wait, the male bartender and the woman wearing the USA shirt did their best to make the situation better, and I appreciated their effort. What was most disappointing happened at the end. The waitress who had originally seated us actually mocked my friend when he said the wait time was ridiculous. She laughed and repeated the word "ridiculous" in a sarcastic way instead of addressing our concerns. It was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. It's disappointing when a loyal customer is treated that way. I had much higher expectations for this place, and I truly believe the situation could have been handled better!

We've actually been to another restaurant under the same company as Rasselbock, so we were delighted to be able to stop by since it's close by! Our friend ordered their bratwurst with sauerkraut. We were very impressed with how delicious and fresh everything was. It was extremely savory and crispy. Quite addicting alongside our beers. I love currywurst, the iconic German street food consisting of a grilled or fried pork sausage sliced into bite-sized pieces and topped with a curry ketchup sauce, typically served with fries or a bread roll. Having eaten plenty of currywurst throughout Germany, I can confidently say this is one of the better versions I've had in the U.S. The fries are excellent - crispy on the outside without being dry. The sausage has that satisfying "snap" when you bite into it, although I wish it had a bit more herbal seasoning and a richer, more savory interior. It's also slightly drier than my ideal version, but that's a minor nitpick. Overall, it's comforting, well-executed, and an easy recommendation if you've never tried currywurst before. BBB Burger - 4/5. I was pleasantly surprised by this burger. The combination of bacon, a juicy beef patty, blue cheese, and crispy shallots is a winner. The bold flavors complement each other surprisingly well without any single ingredient overpowering the others. There's also a nice contrast in textures: the crunch of the shallots, the tenderness of the beef patty, the crisp bacon, and the soft yet sturdy brioche bun all come together beautifully. The bun deserves special mention for holding everything together without becoming soggy. Homemade Apple Strudel - 3.5/5. Kudos to Rasselbock for serving the strudel with vanilla ice cream instead of overly processed whipped cream--it makes for a much better pairing. The apple filling strikes a nice balance, offering enough sweetness without becoming cloying. The blend of tart apples, warm spices, and buttery pastry creates a more nuanced and satisfying dessert. My only complaint is that I'd prefer the pastry to be a little thicker and flakier to provide more texture and contrast with the filling. Rasselbock Schnitzel - 4/5. The schnitzel is nicely breaded and fried, with a crisp, golden crust. I do wish the meat were a bit juicier, but the flavorful cream sauce helps compensate and pairs very well with the schnitzel. It's a satisfying, well-prepared dish that I'd happily order again. Lastly, they offer a solid selection of German and German-style draft beers, making this a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic German comfort food with a good pint. Overall, Rasselbock delivers a satisfying dining experience and is well worth a visit if you're craving German cuisine.

Which made sense considering how well he knew how the drinks were made. He was attentive and checked on us often to make sure everything was going well. One thing that made him stand out was, he actually conversed with us rather than just asking if we needed anything and then leaving. The Old Fashioned was one of the smoothest and best I've probably ever had. My nephew ordered the Ube Painkiller after Nate described how it was made. I had a sip, and the ube flavor really came through without overpowering the drink and it was perfectly matched with the dark rum, which Nate said came from the Caribbean. The Brussels sprouts had a nice mix of tender and crispy pieces that gave additional texture. The calamari was tender and the pesto style sauce paired real good with it. The Thai curry sea bass was flavorful, flaky, and had the right amount of spice. The cioppino had a rich shellfish flavor in the broth and I appreciated that the tomato base didn't have such an acidic taste. We also shared the tomahawk, which was juicy, cooked perfectly, and had a sprinkle of coarse salt that really brought out the flavor. Overall, we had a great experience. Food wise, an order of the poke wrap. Nice chunks of ahi with a scoop of rice, lettuce, avocado and wasabi sauce. It was good but a little messy. As it would be with all of the lettuce wraps. The steamed mussels which is a must. The broth was delicious and served with two nice thick slices of toasted bread. Decent size mussels cooked deliciously in the broth. A must try. Lastly the calamari which was tossed with jalapeños. Both deep fried and quite tasty. Nice crunch to it but not overly cooked. That was also served with two dipping sauce. Everything was delicious. Towards the end of the meal, Melinda noticed that a bug was in my wine which she was very sweet about and made sure to take care of it. The simple little gesture was greatly appreciative. I ordered a turkey sandwich with cheese on sourdough bread with a side of fries, and my friend ordered the buffalo wings. When the sandwich came out, we both looked at it like, "Are they seriously serving this?" The sandwich was cold -- which was not mentioned on the menu -- and looked like something you'd pack in an elementary school lunchbox. At a bar, you'd at least expect the bread to be toasted, especially since it tasted old. The fries were overcooked, greasy, and room temperature. It seemed like they had been sitting out for a while before being served. I still ate about half because I was starving and didn't want to be "that person." The buffalo wings weren't much better. My friend said the sauce tasted good, but the wings themselves were hard and overcooked. Overall, I'd recommend eating before you go. The drinks, atmosphere, and service are solid -- just don't go expecting good food.
