We came here on a Saturday night. They had karaoke going on. The crowd was fun, however the bartender sucked. Not only did she give us attitude for ordering just one drink, she didn't even give me a full glass! My martini sucked, and was only half full. We walked in to a dim lit hole in the wall that had a small, but alive crowd singing karaoke. It was cool from the get go. We sat down at the bar and noticed they had hot spot in the TV, we're fans of this keno-ish game so we decided to play. The bartender, Betsy was cool.. Seemed salty at first but warned up to my handsome wit. We enjoyed the singing and played a little. Betsy told us that nobody was winning tonight... Well just call me nobody! I played a five number bet with one buck... Hit the Hotspot and all five numbers... 450 bucks... Yup... So of course I'm going to say that this beat is the best in town... I was in there on Saturday night, June 18, and was incredibly disappointed in the bartender, Sarah. Her service is slow and her attitude suggests customers are a burden to her. She rolled her eyes at my wife when she asked for a simple well drink. This behavior was repeated to other customers ordering well drinks. I witnessed her pointing a finger at another customer because he was celebrating how well his friend did singing karaoke. Hands down the strongest pour you are going to get at any bar in a 5 mile radius! Prices are very inexpensive for what you get! Alan, Betsy, Kris, Leisa and every other bartender I've dealt with here are awesome! Susie the owner also puts out food for major events and you never know when a birthday is going to be being celebrated here which means you get a bite to eat too! The crowd here is very mixed with old school regulars and younsters all mixed in. It gets very interesting when they have Karaoke going on but it is still a fun time for sure. If you like dark, old school dive bars with an interesting mix of people and a hell of a stiff drink you should take the time to stop in the Buku! Keep in mind that this spot is cash only. He's also one of the most humble kj's I've ever met! Saturday is nice the kj here Donna is very warm and welcoming always smiling! Betsy is a quick bartender, she'll remember your regular drink fast, and have it ready before your even ready... It's like she can read your mind!
