First off, the address listed is wrong. They are located at 345 Passaic street in Passaic NJ.. So I have yet to order a cake from here but the premade desserts are so good! Specifically the corn pudding or as Dominicans call it, majarete. It tastes very fresh, homemade & you get a good amount for the price you pay. The customer service is great, I have been here a few times & the lady has been very sweet. I have to come back to try their cakes! Really sadden by how downhill this place went. So today 04/23/2022 I called around 9:20am to order empanadas To go. $59 worth of it to be exact. I get there and they are not ready (not a shocker at all since they have always been notorious for being late). They stated they had no place (tray) to put them so a kid name Michael (mike) had gone to get a container. The old lady in the back who I was used to seeing plenty of time when they were at the Monroe street location said " she needs to wait without complaint because she should've ordered with more than an hour notice" Needless to say after hearing that very unfriendly statement I asked " did you changed ownership?" To which the young girl in the front said No.. no is the same with a look on her face like why would I even think that?..., Empanadas burnt and looked like they were from the night before. I'm not even mad at them because what happened next left me so concerned. The son of one of the lady there which was the kid name mike or Michael seemed to be standing there watching everything . I paid with a $100 bill. The moment both ladies went to the back to get my burnt greasy old empanadas he quickly opened the cash registered and took the $100 bill and put it in his pocket. he said nothing and pretended he was playing with his phone. He said nothing to the women when they came back. I say all this because I hope and pray the girl in the front doesn't get blamed for stealing the $100 which is what it looked it. Horrible time management. I placed an order for a cake to be ready for pick up at 1 pm for a birthday party. We didn't show up to pick up the cake until 3 pm, only to be told the cake was still not ready and they couldn't find the order receipt. The party started at 4 pm and the cake wasn't even ready until 6 pm meaning I had to leave the guest to pick up a cake that was 5 hours late then the time I had asked for it to be ready by. Their excuse is always "we had a lot of orders". They shouldn't over book themselves if they can't fill orders in time. Oh and it was a simple two tier cake no crazy design or nothing like that. Today I had the worst experience at this establishment and I have been a client since 2015. I ordered a cake to be picked up at 4pm. It is now 5:44pm and the cake is still not ready. I called at 1:30pm to confirm pick up time and I was told the cake was ready. They lied and 1 hour and 45 minutes later I am still waiting. What a disappointment! They lost me as a customer and I will not longer recommend this establishment. No time management! read more

This place is terrible now. It takes forever for their phone to be picked up. (I tried calling 3 times at different hours of the day) And once they picked up the phone they make you wait, and ask you to call back the next day. It's very unprofessional to ask the customer to call. This has happened twice, even after I tried to leave my number, the lady on the phone said NO. You can't place an order right now. I don't even know where to start, my recommended me this place for a Dominican cake, she told me to be aware of the nasty attitudes with the ladies; came in a weekend to order a cake and everything went smooth except that I showed her a picture of the outfit of the baby girl which was Gold, Light Pink and Light Green with a lil be of beige to fill the puff of the tutu, she said that was yellow, there's no yellow in the tutu. I made the mistake of ordering not once but twice and both times i had an issue the first time the cake was so dry I choked so bad I thought I was going to die. They did a good job with my daughter's first birthday cake. They do have an attitude problem, however I addressed the issue immediately. I told the lady, "Are you upset or is there any problem?" I've ordered cakes from here for almost every occasion and yes some of the best Dominican cake i've had however one of the ladies needs a real attitude check and the service here needs to improve. I order a cake for my mother's birthday the day before the event and i was deciding whether i wants a rosette cake or a regular red cake, come to find out it's cost 20$ more for a rosette cake so i gave it some thought and i decided i would just get a regular white and red cake since it's i rather pay 40$ instead of 60$. Now I would like to mention the lady that was taking my order was completely unprofessional. She had a very piss-poor attitude and looked like she clearly did not want to be there. The Lady tells me that the cake will be pick up the next day at 7:00PM . Next morning i decided i want to change the cake to a rosette cake so i called at 10AM to make the change and i asked if i can change the cake and the lady (the same lady i originally ordered the cake with the day before) tells me that there is no way they can change the cake because the cake is almost done. (Hmm how can the cake be done if i have to pick it up at 7PM) but i kindly said ok that's fine. So i go at 5:00PM to pick up the cake that has been done apparently since 10AM and A Guy comes to speak to me and he tells me that there is no way that the cake could be done if it was for 7PM,and he told me to come back at 7. So i come back again around 7:30ish and not only was my cake not done but it was also no where to be found. Not to mention that i was not the only one who was complaining about my cake not being done. There was about 4 other people waiting for the cakes that were scheduled to be done for 7 but were not. Another lady speaks to me and tells me 20 more mins which really ended up being like 40 mins but i finally got my cake. i was upset at the fact that i couldn't change the way i wanted my cake however don't get me wrong that cake taste greatttt! i strongly recommend the Dulce De Leche filling!
