Indeed Folsom best donut shop! Cozy quaint place .. try and you will have a happy tummy Friendly Team

The apple fritter was the best I've had! I would rate the apple fritter itself 5/5. It was crispy on the outside and yet retained a fluffy and soft texture that blended well with apple and cinnamon. I also enjoyed the density of the ham, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich. My husband got sausage, egg, and cheese but didn't like it so much. The only downside was some cream puffs (2 out of 6) did not have cream :( Vietnamese iced coffee was good and less sweet (not as strong in the condensed milk from what I could taste), which I liked. They are busy here, near a large parking lot, and several small tables so we sat and enjoyed everything fresh.

We've heard about this place for years, and while in the area-we saw this location and had to stop and try! Plenty of options to choose from, our favorites were the cronuts and their cinnamon buns! So good! We can't wait to go again!

BJ Cinnamon is consistently ranked as a top donut shop, not only in the area but in the country. The fact that they're open everyday and are making fresh donuts throughout the day really set them apart. I had to update my review and give so much thanks to their team because I stopped in on National donut day. Originally I was going to grab a quick dozen, but last minute thought it would be a grand idea to request ten dozen donuts with no lead time to their staff. I made sure they knew it was ok if they couldn't and I'd take less, and whatever selection they chose. The staff member was SO KIND and assured me she could do it. They got me a beautiful selection and even threw in some bonus donut holes. While she was boxing everything I hung out in their cute restaurant and watched so many other happy customers pick up treats. Before I left I added on a croissant sandwich and tried their coconut coffee. Everything was delicious and the guests at my event were so happy to get to enjoy donuts and celebrate national donut day!

One of the best donut-shop around wonderful family business great service. I've been coming in here since they started here. The food is absolutely delicious and I love when they try new things because I get to try them. The ambience is chill. There's a few seats to sit and eat before the most part, you should take it to go. I used to be a fan favorite of the meat, cheese and croissant with Swiss cheese now my favorite is doughnut eclair with strawberries

We had to go to Folsom to get a State Parks Pass for my son's birthday, but it really was a ploy to try BJ Cinnamon. Named one of Yelp's 50 Best Donut places in the US, it sure didn't disappoint. My husband had his go-to chocolate bar donut, and said that it's delicious and light. I had my go-to (chocolate old fashioned), and it was great. Much lighter texture than any place I've been. The chocolate is the best. We got here a little before noon, and everything was still very fresh. My husband says that the coffee is as good as what he makes at home (5 stars) and I enjoyed the chai latte. The service is quick and friendly. The shop s clean and comfortable. It was well worth our trip.

The best cinnamon rolls and donuts I've ever had! The Vietnamese iced coffee is amazing, and the cream puffs are delicious. I always order a dozen donut holes (my favorite!) and they give me lots of extra pieces! The donut holes come out warm every time and make the perfect companion to my Vietnamese iced coffee. We usually pull up to a packed parking lot with a line out of the door but the wait is never ridiculous. Once you step foot in the parking lot, you are met with the sweet aroma of fresh made donuts! It's wonderful. The staff members are sweet and get the line moving quickly. The donut selection is endless and the prices are fair. BJ Cinnamon is my favorite to get assorted dozens from. You also cannot leave without the star of the show; the giant cinnamon rolls! I love the space; there is a couch for lounging and many tables to enjoy your coffee and pastries. The shop is charming and inviting. Definitely add this locally owned spot to your morning rotation!

BJ Cinnamon is legendary in the Folsom Area for their fresh Cinnamon Rolls. If this is your first time then you MUST order their Cinnamon roll. Trust me it is so freaking good. Funny thing is I'm not even much of a cinnamon roll guy. To also add, they put this fresh sweet glaze on top of the cinnamon roll at the end. You can keep telling them to add more if you like. They literally drown the cinnamon roll with this glaze. They don't skimp. Heads up it is super sweet but it is insanely delicious. For me they make the best cinnamon roll in Sacramento. It's the reason I've come back time and time again. I've also had their Strawberry Rings which are really tasty. I highly recommend those also.

I went to this donut shop after seeing them in the local news. I went on a Monday around 1 pm to avoid the morning rush - though I'm not sure how busy it gets in the mornings. It was a good time, plenty of parking and only one other customer. They have a nice set up with chairs, tables, and a couch. You can certainly take a seat and enjoy a donut and a drink. I ordered a few donuts, chocolate, glazed, and sugar. By far the glazed was the best! Super moist and not too much glaze - perfect. The chocolate and sugar were ok - not much different than any other donuts. They do have lots of different donuts options and sandwiches- I'll be back to try more of their menu.

Very big tasty treats. I have a cup on the left for comparison on the size of the donut.

Everybody was very friendly and helpful. I liked the place. It is a smaller area for seating, but they have a good menu. The food menu is a bit smaller, things such as breakfast, burritos, avocado toast, croissants, etc.... They have a good baked goods section, and they make very good coffee, as is their name. I got a box of macarons for Valentine's Day, plus one for myself, the macaron was tender, and had an amazing flavor. The person I got the Macarons for, she did like them. I also got myself a white mocha, which I liked very much. It wasn't too sweet, and the coffee was deep and rich. The price for everything was very reasonable. I want to come back and try more things, and I will definitely get more of those macarons next time also. Thank you.

We pulled in excited for both food and coffee... but quickly learned this is very much a coffee-first, food-optional situation. The coffee? Pretty solid. I ordered the honey lavender latte and enjoyed it. My daughter's iced vanilla latte also passed the teen approval test. Minor head-scratcher: I ordered my latte "for here" and still got a to-go cup. Now, the food. Oof. I'd strongly recommend sticking to baked goods (I didn't try them, but guessing that would be a better option) The avocado toast was a letdown. Imagine a teeny, paper-thin, cold piece of toast topped with a small smear of avocado that tasted more "packaged" than fresh, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, two lonely feta crumbles, and a sliced hard-boiled egg... served cold... on the side. It did come with a side salad, which felt like an apology. We also ordered a croissant sandwich (ham, Swiss, and scrambled eggs), which unfortunately did not sit well with my husband. The eggs tasted like they may have come from a carton. The staff was nice, but the service model was confusing. When I'm prompted to tip at checkout and there are tables and seating, I assume some level of table service. Instead, we picked up our own coffee, food, silverware, and napkins, and at the end, we also got the honor of bussing our own plates back to the counter. Full-circle dining experience. Bonus details: - They had one single packet of hot sauce left in the entire place - The salt shaker was completely solidified (we did ask for more, but the replacement had exactly one functioning hole) * And just to keep you on your toes, the front door pushes instead of pulls. A small thing, but somehow on-brand. Bottom line: Come here if you want a custom coffee. If you're hungry, manage expectations... or honestly, stick with good old Starbucks for consistency, fewer surprises, and doors that behave.

It's a cute little coffee spot with a fun vibe and great music (Drake was playing!), although seating inside is very limited. There are a few outdoor seats as well. I ordered the Chef's Bowl, and because I love rice, they were kind enough to add an extra scoop of rice along with the potatoes, which I really appreciated. I had asked for the bacon to be removed, but unfortunately it was still included, and there was a lot of it in the bowl. I spent most of the meal picking it out, which definitely took away from the experience a bit, but the dish itself was still delicious. I also noticed the presentation was different from what I expected. My graham vanilla bourbon latte was missing the cookie, and the drink came in a plastic cup instead of the tall glass I'd had on previous visits. My food also came in a little to-go carton instead of plated presentation. Has the place moved away from using plates and glassware? If so, what a pity, presentation really does make a difference, especially for such a cute café atmosphere. One thing I found interesting is that despite being only a few feet away from Karen's Bakery, Sociology still had a steady line of people waiting for coffee and food, which says a lot about how popular it is.
