My favorite coffee place. Always tastes like coffee and never like just milk. Amazing.

Good coffee, nothing to write home about but certainly nothing to complain about. Friendly service. Very comfortable shop. And it's nice to see that they donate to help animals. Who doesn't like animals? read more

Really love this little coffee shop on the state street. We drove past it frequently during our trip to SLC. Their drinks are very tasty and the people work there are super polite and friendly, their dog-themed decor is also very cute. even have a huge mural outside in the parking lot! read more

Bjorn's Brew - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Salt Lake City, Utah

Bjorn's Brew is an exceptional local coffee shop in Salt Lake City that perfectly blends high-quality drinks with a heartwarming mission. It's a clear favorite among dog-loving locals, thanks to its cozy, dog-themed decor and active support for local animal charities with every loyalty card used. Their chai is some of the best in the city. Alongside great breakfast options like croissants and breakfast burritos. Every coffee comes with a signature cookie! The staff is consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and keep the positive culture going strong. Just be warned: because Bjorn's Brew is so popular, you can expect long wait times during peak hours, especially at the drive-thru. Despite occasional waits, the delicious coffee and feel-good mission make it absolutely worth the trip. read more

I recently stopped by Bjorn's Brews and while there are a few things to like, overall it was a bit of a disappointment for me. I am a bit of a coffee snob, and I am fully aware that Utahans aren't the greatest at making fine espresso. Any time you set foot in a coffee shop in the state, you have to take the good with the bad. First, the positives: the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the café itself has a cute dog logo that makes it feel fun and approachable. It's the kind of spot where you'd feel good supporting a small local coffee shop. Bjorn's is family-owned and well-known in the community for supporting animal charities in the city. If you bring your pooch, you'll even get a treat for your good boy or girl! The problem for me was the coffee. If you're used to traditional espresso, be aware that this is very much Utah-style espresso, which usually means either watered-down shots or drinks heavily diluted with cream, sugar, and flavorings. The result is a sweet, creamy beverage that some people might love, but it didn't give me the bold, rich espresso flavor I was hoping for. Even the smaller drinks felt more like dessert than coffee, and I left wishing there was a purer espresso option that actually tasted good. The shop itself is clean and inviting, with a cozy vibe and enough seating to hang out for a bit, but the coffee is really the heart of a café experience. In that department, Bjorn's falls short for anyone looking for a true espresso kick. If you like sweet, flavored coffee drinks and a friendly, local atmosphere, it could be a cute spot for you. Otherwise, you might leave wishing the espresso was a bit stronger and less diluted. Major kudos for their commitment to supporting local animal charities, though! I still like to come here but I just get the hot tea instead of coffee. read more

Super delicious coffee and the cookie treats are amazing! I love that they also give back to animal shelters it's such a nice touch. The wait can be long but it's worth the wait! read more

Updating this to 5 stars because...puppies. I 100% support any pro animal coffee shop. We just lost our pup of 17 years last month, so this place adds to my love and appreciation of animals, especially dogs. We went through drive thru. About 10 cars ahead of us. About 10 min of waiting. The lines moves very quick! For as busy as this place gets, the staff are quick and efficient, but they are still VERY friendly. I got an iced Americano. Always great quality. Love the little biscuits they throw in as a bonus. They have shaded outdoor seating and indoor seating as well. Not a big parking lot and it can get crowded easily so I suggest parking on the side street if needed. Love you BJORN! read more

Stopped by on my way to see a patient. Since it was a cooler morning o decided to go with a hot coffee. Knowing it would be cold by the time I finished my appointment. It is not located in the most convenient place. Hard to get in and out of and when they are busy, the traffic can get backed up on the road way. I ordered Sinner's latte. My first swig of it was straight espresso. I tried stirring it. Took another drink and same thing, very little flavor. I always drink my coffee even if I don't like it because I can't see waisting all that money. But even after it cooled down and I was able to stir it better it still was straight espresso. I had to throw it out. If I am on that side of town again I might give it another try with extra flavor or a different drink. read more

Absolutely over the top state-of-the-art extravagant place on earth. If youre not having coffee here your not having coffee at all.

The matcha lemonade with strawberry was interesting. A little too sweet and could barely taste the strawberry. The chai is pretty good, also kinda sweet. Pup cup is a huge yes according to Mochi. We will definitely be back to try other drinks! read more

It's a great day whenever I get a cup of joe from Bjorn's Brew! My favorite thing about this place besides their speedy drive thru and extensive flavor options is the warm customer service. The baristas genuinely bring a smile to my face and seem like they really enjoy what they do. With each purchase, you're giving back to the community by donating to local animal charities, so it's all about coffee with a good cause. I've found it difficult to find local coffee shops with both quality coffee and satisfying food, but Bjorn's Brew's espresso paired with their chorizo & rice burrito is one of my all time favorite quick-bite combos! read more

Bjorn's Brew - Iced americano with pumpkin, white chocolate and cream - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Salt Lake City, Utah

I have been a loyal customer of Bjorn's Brew since moving to Utah in 2014. I lived next door at Foothill Place Apartments near Bjorn's original location, and even after moving farther north, I've continued to make the effort to come back--often planning hikes in Millcreek so my dogs and I can stop at Bjorn's Brew. My dogs get so excited they literally hang out the car window because they know they're getting a treat. Unfortunately, the customer experience at the State Street location has been a consistent letdown and does not reflect what Bjorn's Brew claims to stand for. We've encountered the same guy working the drive-through window several times, and every single interaction has been unpleasant. At first, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed a bad day--but after multiple visits, it's clearly a pattern. He was working the window on Saturday, December 21st, and I regret not catching his name. He has a bad attitude, and it comes across as though dogs are an annoyance to him rather than the very reason many customers choose Bjorn's Brew. For a business built around being dog-friendly and supporting local pet charities, that disconnect is hard to ignore. I can get coffee anywhere--people come to Bjorn's Brew because it's dog-friendly. To make matters worse, I ordered my usual drink along with two peanut butter power balls, and what I was served was unacceptable. These power balls were clearly old--at least a week. I've accidentally left Bjorn's power balls in my car before and know exactly what they look and taste like when they've sat too long: darker caramel color, softened oats, a slightly sour smell, and a grainy texture. That is exactly what I was served. These are perishable items, which is why they're typically refrigerated or frozen, and I'm honestly shocked they were served at all. This is not what they look like when they're even 2-3 days old. If you're looking for the warm, dog-friendly customer experience Bjorn's Brew is known for, the Foothill location delivers. The State Street location is the polar opposite and was extremely disappointing--we will not be going back. read more

Love their coffee and now matcha .. both are pretty good! Lola latte is always good. Haven't been inside but always ordered on the drive tru and love it .. oh, let's noooot forget the cookies so yummy read more

Bjorn's Brew is awesome for a number of reasons. First, the service is always friendly. Nothing beats a friendly greeting when you're up early and before you've had your first cup of coffee. Now, the coffee itself is great. A solid cup that isn't too acidic but keeps the boldness of a quality bean. The chai tea lattes run a bit sweet, though they offer two versions: Oregon & Vanilla. As you can imagine the vanilla is sweeter and the Oregon is a bit more traditional, I.e., less sweet. The burrito is surprising awesome. Great texture, perfectly cooked and a good sauce on the side. A serious burrito that will hit the spot. Every drink comes with a free sugar cookie, which is a nice touch. If you bring your dog they ask if you'd like a treat for your dog, also complimentary! Great service, good coffee, good food, complimentary treats for pups and people alike. What more can you ask for? Well, if you want to donate to dog charities you can too! This place is a great local business that adds so much value. You won't be disappointed. read more

I love the breakfast burrito, and all the drinks are good without being too sweet. The workers are always so nice and I love that you get a little cookie with your drink! So far I've liked the iced white mocha, caramel frappe, and lavender latte. The strawberry and cream smoothie wasn't what I expected; not bad but I don't think I'd order it again read more

Good coffee. Love the little cookie it comes with. Croissant sandwiches were a little dry but overall love this spot.

I pulled up to Bjorns Brew on a Thursday and left a changed person. I didn't even order--a barista looked into my eyes, nodded solemnly, and handed me a drink like they'd been expecting me for centuries. I took one sip and blacked out. When I woke up, I was cuddling a Saint Bernard in a field of ethically-sourced espresso beans, whispering secrets about the universe. The coffee is that good. Also, they support animal rescues, so every cup basically helps a dog live its best life. 12/10 would get spiritually reborn again via iced latte. read more

This is such a great spot! I stopped here for breakfast and ordered the Sinner's Latte, which was delicious. The drive thru line looked like it would be a while but it went by super fast. I am so sad I am just now finding out about this place because it is SO GOOD. I have been twice now and have loved it. The employees are so kind. The drinks are great. You get a small little shortbread cookie with your order. So far I have had the Sinners Latte and Dirty Vanilla Chai. Loved both. The coffee flavor comes through which is great- much tastier than Starbucks. Not to mention they donate to dog charities which is just the sweetest thing ever. Highly, highly recommend if you are looking for a great coffee shop that's not a generic chain! read more

Bjorn's Brew - Chai - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Salt Lake City, Utah

Let me start by saying I've never felt the need to write a review, especially on bjorns. I love this chain and have come get plenty of times. Today (3/6) I came through the drive thru around 10:30-10:40 and had the worst experience Ive ever had at any drive thru. The lady who took my order was so rude. I asked "and maybe some cold foam too" and she replied "do you want it or not." In an incredibly rude and unsavory tone. We also wanted to get food but was cut short with an annoyed "okay we'll see you at the window" while I still had more to order. I pray that no one else has to interact with this barista. I understand people have hard days but never in my life would I treat a customer with such disrespect. I advise this barista finds a job outside of food service. read more

So happy I stopped to try this place! Of course the cure dog logo caught my eye. Went through the drive thru and tried a small nonfat mocha. The guy working the window was super nice and explained their punch cards to me since it was my first time there. They also add a little shortbread cookie on top of your drink. The mocha itself was good! I thought it was a good balance of flavors, not too sweet and a great pick me up. I'll definitely be returning! read more

Bjorn's Brew is a favorite local coffee shop, and bonus, they contribute to a community cause. I love their coffee whether it be a Sinner's Latte or just their drip with cream. I would go there every day if I was fiscally capable. I've had great conversations with a couple of their baristas that show this is a locals spot. On the weekends I like to go in and read or do homework. If you need a quality coffee, I highly recommend Bjorn's Brew. PS. My only critique is that on several occasions the lids have leaked. Once or twice isn't a big deal but it seems like it happens about one in five drinks (hot or iced). read more

Good coffee at half the cost of Beans and Brews and they don't serve theirs from rotating slushee machines. Would be 5 stars but they use BLACK plastic straws. Before you roll your eyes, understand that I am not an anti-plastic zealot. BUT black plastic is made from recycled electronics which are sprayed with flame retardant. Again huge fan of plastics, I eat micro-plastics for breakfast every morning sprinkled on my cereal, but black plastic is not even in the same ballpark. The Atlantic finally covered this. You can google it. read more

I have a fee go-to coffee shops in SLC, and Bjorn's is one of them. I love the Sinner's Latte (that's my regular drink), but I also enjoy the occasional "drinks of the month" and that Bjorn's gives back to help animals in need. I went the other day, and they were having a Bingo Nite Fundraiser. I also tried their Candied Nut Latte, which was warm and grounding and perfect for a cold, snowy day. I all of their eats too (omg the Stuffed Croissants, Poppyseed Muffins, Protein Power Balls, and GF options are so good!).
