When ordering a frozen mocha, it's either a hit or a miss depending on which location, and who is making it. This was my first time at this location, and it surpassed my expectations. From the service to one of the best frozen mocha's I've had in a long time. My daughter told me about the "Bomb" you can get here. I trust her, so I decided to order it. I had no idea this even existed, or I would have been ordering these all along. They are not on the "menu" so you have to ask for them. What they are is the frozen mocha, but with crunched up chocolate coffee beans. Ohhh so good. My new favorite foo foo drink. Service is drive thru only, but they get you in and out pretty quick. One thing I liked at this location was if your drinks were going to take a little bit longer to make, they have you "pull up" so that they can help the next customer. The smoothies here are BOMB! It's a very nice after work pit stop. My favorite smoothie here is the strawberry banana and the chocolate coffee beans are a nice touch. The service here is also really really good. Whenever I bring my dog here they always offer him a bone and the smoothies are very consistent. Java Jo's has great coffee and fun drinks. I always stop here before going on a road trip. But today I went there with my best friend and we got two oat milk lattes (yum!) We were driving for about 20 minutes when we realized BOTH of our coffee cups were LEAKING!! seriously though. It got all over my car. We were desperately trying to plug up the cups while my best friend heroically merged five lanes over while screaming at me to grab some napkins. We got off at the next exit and tried to salvage the last drips of our lattes. Luckily, because I was amazingly prepared, I had an extra coffee tumbler in the trunk. We pulled into a Taco Time nearby and I jumped out of the car, taking the cups from my coffee-soaked bestie. There was only one tumbler so we had to share it, which sucks when you paid $10 for two separate cups. Oh well!! I'll probably still come back, but Java Jo's really needs to do a quality inspection on their cups. It was like the cup's adhesive was totally neutralized by the oat milk. Almost like the coffee was Superman, but the cup's adhesive was it's kryptonite. I'd say it's safe to assume the oat milk was the sole cause of the leakage, because I've gotten soy lattes here many times and nothing like this ever happened. Anyway, if you see this Java Jo's, I'd really like two free lattes next time I come as reparations. Thanks though for all of the other great times. Try an iced salted caramel mocha here. I've had a few messed up lattes where I didn't get the milk alternative I asked for or they put cinnamon on my latte without asking. Today definitely takes the cake of the misses. First, I am deeply disappointed that they will not have maple flavoring until later again this year. Second, my boyfriends latte was made with spoiled milk. Up until today, I was a huge fan of Java Jo's. Today I rolled up to get my coffee...I was wearing a face mask and the other person in my car was also wearing a face mask. It must've been shift change because there were five employees in the shop and only one of them was wearing a face mask properly. I could see the two women making my drinks, and neither of them had masks on and they were laughing and talking over my coffee. It felt really inconsiderate that me, the customer, was wearing a mask but the employees were not. Last time I was there I was sick for days because of spoiled milk! I took two sips of my drink and wanted to puke. However their coffee isn't even good when the milk isn't spoiled. Also I have heard first hand horror stories of the way they treat their staff. Someone should be talking about all of this. Their locations are convenient but not worth supporting in any case.
