Possibly the slowest pizza place in North America. One hour wait for food is not uncommon. Plus, no one answers the phone if you try to call ahead. 50% of the time the pizza is burned. No one over 16 works here. And the T-shirt's the servers wear ("BJ's They're Good!") are funny but a bit distasteful considering most servers look to be 16yo girls. If you place a to go order, you need to stay on them because they aren't going to remember you are waiting and come find you with your food. Pizza was hot and tasty. Good thick crust along with plenty of cheese. They were a little busy and took about 30-40 minutes to get our food but good once we got it. Not a lot of seating. Really good pizza close to our townhouse. read more

The food is really good! I think that it is best to get a custom pizza. The banana pepper topping is really good the food is normal priced. its right near the entrance of the island so go there if possible. read more

Yesterday in the pouring down rain i went to pick my order up that I placed on my lunch break. Upon arrival I presented my discover debit card (I always use it here) and was told that they didn't take that card. I responded with they have been taking it all month. Now they don't she says. There was "No I'm sorry it since you are a regular and work in the area you can take the order and come back later to pay, " no customer service skills period. It was not posted anywhere. This place was terrible. The pizza was sub-par, super greasy and somehow flavorless despite the large amount of grease. The service was absolutely horrid since the second we walked in. We ordered 3 pizzas, and they messed up all three in their own, special way. Our first pizza was for a lactose-intollerant woman with us, so naturally, she ordered her pizza with light cheese. When she got her pizza, it was completely filled with cheese as if she had ordered it with extra, extra cheese. It had nearly no toppings other than cheese. Our second pizza had nearly no flavor whatsoever. There was spinach, yes, but it was clumped in about 3 places and that's all. Our last pizza, to top it off, took around 30 minutes to come out after the first two. They had burned our pizza and had to remake it. The service was the worst part, though. The women working there were terribly rude, having a large attitude with our mother when we simply wanted to change the flavorless pizza. They were snide in their remarks and started throwing things here and there. I 100% do not recommend going to this restaurant, if you could even call it that. My wife and I went to SGI for our honeymoon, and BJ's was the place we ended up eating at multiple times. We ate at various times, afternoon, late, etc and never experienced any unusual wait times. We tried their pizza, calzone, and subs and they were all delicious! A must when going to BJ's is to try their buffalo chips. Just enough flavor to taste good, but not overly spicy. Its the only pizza place on the island, but its also pretty good. read more

Great local pizza joint on St. George island - right when you get off the bridge and onto the island. The prices are great for the amount of food. We started with fried jalapenos - the basket was big enough for a group of 4. The pitcher of Miller Lite was only $9. We had a small pepperoni pizza which is 8 slices - good for 2-3 people. They have a room connected to the restaurant with video games and air hockey which is perfect for kids. There were probably more people doing take-out than dining in. Very convenient. They need some good tunes in there - that's my only negative for this place. Otherwise, good stuff! read more

Came earlier in the week (at not a busy time) and everything was good--service and food! BUT sadly, after coming back (at a busy time) I had to take away three stars. The first star was taken because the italian sub that we ordered did not come out until 30 min after all of the other food had come out because it was forgotten (we had to remind them). The second star that was taken was because NONE of the food came out until one hour after we ordered. This wasn't really our favorite situation, especially because there was prob only 10 tables of people, most of which already had their food so there was really no reason to be waiting that long. The third star that was taken was because the process to get a seat is horrific. Our party of six watched intently for a table. A table of 8 finished and began to get up. One man from their group said to a member of our group, "Y'all can have our table." Wow!! How considerate! Right as we were sitting down, a family was walking into the restaurant. The lady from their group yells, "That's our table! We've been waiting!" We asked, "Have you ordered?" since it seemed that she had just walked in. She announced that she had and that she "had told the servers that she was waiting for a table". We weren't really sure what that meant since our rules of restaurants were first come, first serve & she clearly was not there. We let them have the table and went back to stand at our area to watch for a free table. About 5 minutes after this situation went down, the main lady that fought us for the table & said that she had ordered, GOT IN LINE to order. We were livid. She then came back, sat down with her table, & discussed the wait and decided it would be too long. They picked up their stuff and left. UNBELIEVABLE!!! When we told the waiter this story her response was "Well, they're locals soooo....". That is not an acceptable excuse. Why do locals get preferential treatment?! Not. Okay. This needs to be better policed by the staff. Food was good, though...so that was a plus. read more

For the only pizza place on the island they do not have to be good, but they are. In fact, the pizza makes my top ten list, and I have had pizza all over this country. For a solid pizza with tons of toppings, I highly recommend BJ's. read more

This was our 2nd time here in a week. Our first time everything was great so we came back. Now the 2nd time is a whole other experience! After waiting for a hour I walk up and ask what is going on and they say they lost our ticket in a very not nice way! When I explain I have starving children they say well there's nothing I can do. I can refund you your money for just the Pizza not the drinks or you can wait another 15 minutes for a pizza... Once again she was NOT nice and had major attitude! After getting nasty back we were given our money back for the pizza and waited for one to be made as the kids were starving. Mind you we gave a $5.00 tip and still were treated horribly! I asked to speak to the manager and I was told I was speaking to the manager which blew me away! I can't be leave how nasty she was when they are the ones that lost our ticket! Horrible! Ragu is not pizza sauce....extremely over priced, horrible service, BJ's is very light with their toppings, unless it's bell pepper...then they are very heavy with that topping...save your money, frozen is much than BJ's. Over all, a terrible experience! Another year, another order of wings. Place was much busier. I was worried how long it would be for a to go order of wings. Not only were they done well within my expectations, but I was restless and waited outside. I did not even have to go back in to check: the super nice hostess clearly knew where I was and brought the wings right to my car! The art of running a business in a place like SGI is not easy with the primary customers as awful tourists. These cats handle it exceptionally. read more
