So many great memories here with family! I love the decor with all the beach stuff and college football flags. The arcade room is really cool, though at least one machine was out of order. It was a long wait to get our food, even our appetizer, but it's a small business and several times the line was out the door. I also imagine they had a constant stream of to go orders as well that kept them very busy. The Buffalo chips are unique to BJs. Fried, thin chips of dough that are light, airy and crispy. The Buffalo isn't saucy, it's seasoning and you dip the chips in delicious delicious ranch. Such good ranch! The pizza is thick, filling and also just delicious. The toppings are great too, and two slices filled me up when I can usually pound some pizza. The floors had food on them and the tables weren't cleared quickly, but again, they seem to almost always be busy because they are a bomb pizza place! read more

Traveling with 8 people who have a wide range of dietary needs means planning ahead of time. We were really looking forward to enjoying some items from BJ's on the day of our arrival as our grocery trip was planned for the following day since we all drove 7-10 hours to get here. When we called to place our order they turned us away despite being open for another 3.5 hours. Pizza I understand takes time so We decided we would drive to the restaurant and try to order the two salads for our folks with certain dietary needs but the staff was rude and turned us away again. The restaurant was empty and their open sign was on. Nowhere online did it warn us they would refuse to take orders after a certain time or even warn us that during the busy season they can only handle a certain volume so place orders early. This was really frustrating and despite being here for another week, has left such a bad taste in our mouth, we will not return. If the staff had been polite or apologetic about everything, things may have been different. But the rudeness of the staff will prevent us from ever spending a cent here. read more

I have coming to SGI for over 12 years. One thing that has not changed is BJ's and its lousy service and mediocre food.

We waited two hours for our pizza and an order of mozzarella sticks. When we finally got our order the cheese sticks were so disgusting, the cheese inside wasn't melted at all. The pizza was horrendous, basically cheesy cardboard. Also, the place is very disorganized without any real customer service. read more

Wow. Ordered a pizza and was told it would take 20 minutes. Over an hour later a mediocre pizza appeared... complete with delivery by an apparently disgruntled pizza "chef". Front of the house Staff didn't seem to care much about the plight of customers, either. Not sure what the malfunction was, but I'll never return. Good luck to those who try this place. I'm torn about this rating, because we've eaten at BJ's many times. We've been coming to SGI for fifteen years. We vacation here three or four times a year, and BJ's is a favorite of our kids, so we're here often. (Many trips, we eat here every day for lunch or dinner.) It always takes awhile to get our food. We've come to expect it. If the food is good, we can deal with the wait. What I can't deal with is being treated as if my patronage isn't important enough for any effort on the part the staff. We're here during a holiday season. I understand it's busier than usual. I can even understand being short-staffed. I know mistakes on orders will happen. I just don't think it's too much to ask for my party to be treated fairly when mistakes are made and wait times are inexcusable. We had six in our party. We ordered one pizza (half cheese/half meat) for three of us to share. The others had sandwiches. Oh, and I bought a salad for before my meal. The pizza arrived after a 35 minute wait. It was wrong. We waited a few minutes to let the server know when she brought the rest of the food. No one came around. Finally, we walked to the counter to let them know of the mistake. We were told another pizza would be on its way. Fair enough. In the meantime, none of the other food was delivered. After twenty more minutes, one of us again approached the counter to ask about the food. "You just had the messed up pizza, right?" After an explanation of everything else we'd ordered, we continued to wait. The servers saw us looking to the order window and began to seem annoyed that we were questioning where our food was. The second pizza arrived before any of the other food. We were told all the chicken for the other meals had just been dropped, and they would be out soon. Eventually two of the sandwiches came, along with the salad. Even though we were promised the last sandwich would "be right out" it was another 15 minutes before the last member of our party finally received his order. Because this experience had been so poor, I asked to see a manager. Not only was I treated as though it was an imposition by the other staff, the manager did the same. After I explained to him what our experience had been like, he said, "There's nothing I can do for you. We made another pizza when we knew it was wrong. I don't know what else you want." Good to know where I stand as a customer. During this entire two hours, not one person offered anything that resembled an apology. The thing that bothers me the most is the apathy we were treated with. One of the things we love about SGI is how friendly everyone is and how everyone treats us like family. Not this time. We're here for the whole week. We would have easily dropped $400 - $500 at BJ's by the end of the week. That won't happen now. Apparently, our money and patronage isn't important to them. We'll just eat sandwiches at our house. read more

We were hanging out on the beach and were ready for lunch. I took a short drive over to BJ's. We ordered the Mexican, Buffalo Chicken, and all meat. I haven't had Mexican pizza in forever and it didn't disappoint. Refrigerated and had it for breakfast the next morning. All three pizzas were great! Recommend. read more

Fourth of July week we were quoted a 1 hour and 20 minute wait time. While this is a little long, we understood the busyness of the holiday weekend. Three hours and 17 minutes later, we received our order. The staff was rude and frustrated at the situation and did not offer any discount when requested. Unfortunately, the management for BJ's is poorly kept and we will not be visiting this place again, nor would we recommend it to any one. read more

While on vacation on St. George Island, my wife and I were convinced by some locals to give the appetizers at BJ's Pizza a try. The locals didn't have much good to say about the actual pizza, so we skipped that in favor of trying their fried dill pickle chips, fried mac&cheese wedges and buffalo chips. My wife phoned in the order ahead of time and we were told 45 minutes for the order. I drove down to the shop 45 minutes later. When I arrived, I discovered that all orders & pickups have to stand in the same line under the "Order Here" sign. There were probably 3 parties ahead of me, all for new orders. When I made it to the front of the line, I explained to the young lady that I was there to pick up an order and gave her my name. She attempted to charge me without letting me know if the order was even up yet. I asked if the order was ready and I was told in response that it would be another 10 minutes "or so". I paid and stepped away from the counter. 10 to 15 minutes later, my order was bagged and left on the counter. No-one bothered to tell me it was up and I was left to wonder if it was my order until I was able to grab the attention of the same young lady at the counter. The buffalo chips are essentially baked thin pizza crust brushed with buffalo sauce & topped with parmesan cheese. They were spicy and flavorful, albeit predictable. The fried dill pickle chips were good, though sliced thinner than I would usually like. The winner of the appetizer try-outs was the fried mac&cheese wedges, however. Deep fried carbs, in a convenient breaded package. In the end, BJ's had sloppy and terrible service, though the food I ordered was good. Expensive for it's quality, however. While it wouldn't take wild horses to bring me back, we will likely avoid this establishment until we find it's changed hands or hear more positive reviews on it's service. read more

A group of 13 tried to eat here. We've been coming here for over 10 yrs on our summer vacations. The same group of people as always but this time was told we couldn't move tables to accommodate everyone in our group. And I might add not in a very hospitable manner either. One in our group is severely handicapped and needs assistance to walk even with a walker. Hardly anyone in the restaurant at the time. Would not recommend this place to anyone especially a large group. We left to eat at El Jalisco in Eastpoint which accommodated us with no problems. Would give BJ's zero stars if were able because of rudeness. You don't ever treat customers in this manner. read more

A really cool place to have good food after a day on the water or at the beach. A lot of signs with sayings on the wall for your reading entertainment. If your on the island our in eastpoint/apalachacola, I recommend stopping here. read more

The white chicken bacon pizza is delicious, loaded with toppings! The corn dog basket is good too, not sure, but it looks like the corn dog is made there not frozen, at $6 it's one of the best deals on the island. Remember folks, you are on an island so patience is key. read more

The overall experience wasn't that pleasant. The seating situation is terrible. There is limited seating and there is no one to police the table situation. You have to fight to get a seat and there is no order. We ordered 3 pizzas and one Italian sub. We got our 3 pizzas but, the Italian sub didn't come out until about 30 minutes later. Also, a police officer came in to have a good meal before serving the community and left because there was "too much chaos" and the wait for a pizza was an hour. The pizza is very good and tasteful but you have to be willing to wait especially on a Friday night. read more

With a name like BJs I had high expectations. I was not disappointed. The pizza is orgasmic.

Thumbs down. We called and were told it'd be an hour and half by the person who answered the call and she did NOT want us to order. We ordered anyways per the kids really wanted pizza.
