I really like BJ"s. The food is just fine and the staff is friendly , helpful and considerate. I recommend it highly.

Upon arrival hostess was rude when asked if we could sit at the bar, the reply was go look for yourself it's open seating! Well I should of turned around and left but we continue sat down for a few minutes waited finally got a server came over and took our drink order, asked for a dbl with lemon however not sure what I got with a lime. Explained to server can't taste anything she brought over a quarter of a shot to add to the drink uumm back east the server would of brought the drink back and made a fresh one. Server just gave us menus because our app didn't work, as soon as she put them down she asked for our food order can we at least look at the menu first? Anyways boneless chicken taste over floured burnt no taste dry, ask for blue cheese got ranch, I could understand if it was busy but it was slow. After paying the bill, when we left about 7 servers were hanging around the hostess desk not one of them acknowledged us leaving at least could of said something! Management needs to train the staff and the bartender needs to learn how to properly make cocktails and pay attention to detail! read more

For a chain this was pretty good. Standard prices. I had a salad with fresh tuna and it was pretty darn yummy. Lots of different ingredients. I would go back. Usually like the local eats vs. chains but we were on a time crunch and this was a pleasant surprise! read more

First words of advice - - DON'T TRY THE PASTA HERE! We went here on a very busy Friday night, and it was packed. Good atmosphere, what i would expect from an all American family dining place with a sports type bar. We were seated pretty quickly and drinks came out on time. I ordered one of the chicken pasta dishes can't remember exactly what it was. My pasta- It came out lukewarm and soggy and flavorless. Theres really nothing to describe it except those 3 words. I wasn't that hungry to begin with so I just ate the artichokes and some salad. My friend who didn't order anything else but her pasta really couldn't stand hers. My pasta's chicken wasn't burnt like hers. She called a manager over and they sorted it out. She got a different entree altogether and was very pleased with one of the burgers. The fries that came with were very good! When the manager asked about my pasta dish, I just said I'd rather not get anything else, and that although mine was cold and flavorless and soggy as well, I ate most of the chicken so I wasn't expecting a totally new dish. When my bill came I was surprised that my entree was waived. I felt bad that they did that, since I ate most of my chicken and artichokes. I just didn't touch the spaghetti itself. But that was very thoughtful of them. Service was great. The waiter was attentive even on a busy night and he was more than happy to bring the new dishes and ask how it was. Food. The pizzas here are really delicious! So i assumed the pastas would be as well. Next time I'll just get pizza or a burger. The salads are pretty decent as well. I hope the next time I go and decide on a pasta, they will have changed something. read more

BJ's for light lunch and small bites for four was simply average. The tomato bisque was actually deliciously rich. The BLT starter salad was fresh and tasty and generous for the $5 or $6. The chop salad also good. The appetizer root beer glazed ribs were 5for $6 and tasty but tiny and meatless or close to it. The manager came over and gave a far too lengthy Ted talk on how they appreciated the feedback and comped it saying it was the most frequent complaint and we should order the rack which is meatier. Not the most gracious welcome to new customers. The house margaritas were average in a 12 oz ho-hum tumbler but the little sized dessert cookie was warm and delicious with melon scooped ice cream balls on top and confetti on top! Step up your game BJ's there's still lots of lunch competition out there and at 12 on a Wed you were noticeably empty. Thanks to the chef for the tasty dishes other than the sparse ribs. read more

Love this spot on weekends. If Joe W. was our server everytime, I would definitely be giving 5 stars. We walk in and I don't even have to order my green tea, it's at the table with our water right when he walks up! The food is better too, it's like Joe knows how to put orders in properly to get the best result! I love the deep dish ravioli, but I replace the pepperoni & sausage with ground beef. Talk about an extensive menu! If you can't find something to eat here, I don't know what to tell you. I had a burger, my wife had a salad. We both liked our food. The best part, though, was the beer. The manager, Cody, brought us a few tasters if some of their rotational brews that were amazing. My wife, Toni, even liked their session IPA, a first. We were greeted by friendly people. Our waitress was amazing. The food was delicious! This was our third visit to this location and we have yet to be disappointed!! We ordered the mozzarella and tomato salad to start. It was out of this world fantastic!! I wanted to take about five more orders of it home with me. The dressing was fresh and tasty and the tomatoes were just the right ripeness. So, so yummy!!! My husband ordered the BJ's favorite pizza - as he always does. It did not let him down. (I don't like pizza, but I like this pizza.) I ordered the chicken and quinoa dish. (Don't remember it's "official" name.)The chicken was cooked to perfection! Very moist and flavorful. I liked the quinoa which was flavored with spinach, tomatoes and other good stuff. I loved it. My only "complaint" was that it had a sort of lemony flavor and I'm not a fan of lemony things. I looked at the menu and there was no mention of lemon. Next time I would order it and ask them to omit whatever gave it that aspect. (The server said they use several different types of oils and that it probably came from one of the oils.) I cannot remember the server's name, but she was GREAT! She did an excellent job and had a fun sense of humor. She seemed to genuinely enjoy being there. She said she has the mozzarella salad for lunch with avocado if that helps the manager identify her! So, I'm going to end on a negative note. We dined there at 5:00 on Friday June 10th and it was FREEZING in there!!! My husband never gets cold and HE thought it was very cold as well. I think they were anticipating a big crowd later and were just trying to get ahead of things. We always have dessert, but were too cold. We drive from Lakewood to come to this BJ's. Super nice/conscientious/attentive server who humorously described herself as "awkward cute." That's the only nice thing I can say about BJs in Boulder. I thought it would be fun to try a tavern style restaurant in Boulder and that it had to be good bc it is packed constantly. But everything we ordered was super salty & sub-par and even the teenage boys who will scarf down anything didn't like it. We tried cheese curds (overcooked, salty, only ate 4-5 and left the remaining 20...they're small). We tried nachos (fake cheese, jarred jalapeños, grocery-store guacamole, salad bar style chicken, and burnt chips), but edible. $13 mini pizza? It was 5" and my 17 year old didn't even eat half. $13 burger? My 15 year old who eats burgers in four bites only ate a third of it. The flatbread nachos were, again, salty & salad bar quality diced chicken. My lemon chicken thyme was salty & the slim amount of veggies over cooked and on top of starchy/dry rice...$14+. Perhaps the food was extra salty to encourage more drinks...we all had about 5 refills on our waters. Oh. One more hit was the root beer sauce they have for the boneless wings. It was interesting. We didn't order drinks & three entrees plus three appetizers came to $93. That was a tough bill to pay. I did leave a good tip for the server because she really was the highlight of our first and last meal at BJs in Boulder...or BJs anywhere. read more

BJs Brewhouse has some things I love and some things not so much. Avocado spring rolls are my favorite! I would drive out of my way for those. Their beer is decent. Burgers and sandwiches are pretty good. Love the small bites menu! Not a fan of the deep dish pizza though. It's all bread! Deep dish pizzas should be loaded with meat and cheese and yumminess and not a loaf of bread with some sauce and thins slices of pepperoni on top. Avoid the pizza and you will enjoy the restaurant. read more

I'm pretty disappointed in how the management handled food issue. After returning a meal for lack of freshness I ordered another item. The item was not what was ordered and i was charged full price although what i ordered was a half order. My food came out after the other people in the party had finished. This is one of our favorite new places to got out on " date night". It is usually difficult to find a good selection of vegetarian options and delicious meat options, BJs offers a wide variety of both. The stuffed mushrooms, artichoke hearts and potato skins are to die for. Our server was attentive to our needs, but not over kill every time we have been there. The skinny margarita is one of the best and the beer is good too! I love the atmosphere and lighting. A nice addition to boulder, much needed rather than having to drive to flatirons or Fort Collins . We will be back and look forward to it. read more

My family of four went last night around 9:30 pm. For a Saturday night neither the bar area or the restaurant appeared busy. There were several servers, busboys,and managers working. We were seated in a booth and assured our server would be right over. Several of the staff passed by our table. After about 10 minutes, I told my wife that if no one came to our table be ]fore I counted to 30, I would go to the hostess stand to let them know we were still waiting on a server. Just then our server showed up with two glasses of water for the four of us, which I found odd. Why did she only have 2 glasses of water? Incidentally, I told her that two glasses were plenty. If her plan was to bring us water, why not bring all four at the same time. So, now we have water. She was not ready to take our drink order because she had to take care of another table, so she left. Now I am feeling like the service is pretty poor. I have been to plenty of BJs locations, but this was my first time at the new one in Boulder. My wife and I both worked in restaurants in college, so I am willing to give the waiter a pass if it is busy, or if they were double or triple sat. I surveyed the area, watched what our server was doing, and decided she was not "in the weeds". We finally got our drink order placed, and then our food order. The food was typically BJs quality. I have no complaints there. Through out the meal our server checked on us once twice, and left me waiting a fairly long time for my second beer. Overall the service was mediocre. I am not really sure what the issue was with the server. Maybe lack of training, or maybe she just did not want to be there. She was nice enough and did not give off that I am bothered by customers vibe that you can get some times. I will go here again, but when I pay a premium compared to say, Red Robin, or Chili's, I expect better. Continued poor service and I'll cross this location off my list. read more

Having A glass of wine when the nameplate on a beer tap breaks lose falling on and breaking my wine carafe. They cleaned up quickly, disposed of the ice in the bin behind the counter and comped my wine. Problems can happen but how they recovered was top notch service. Nice work BJ's! read more

The Meals were absolutely delicious but service was terrible! Sat at the table for 15-20 minutes before I had to get up and just tell someone we haven't been asked for drinks or if we were ready! I'm from out of town and me and my wife found ourselves with not may options on the 4th of July weekend. We ordered two entrees and 2 apps at a total of 80 bucks w/ tip and took it to our hotel. Now that's overpriced by any pub food anywhere. The food was disgusting and inedible. Any basic chain restaurant does a far better job. We wished we opted for the Burger King next door but you can't reverse time. What I do not recall ordering was an intestinal bug that found its way into my order. It's one thing to be an uninspired kitchen with no taste, passion or pride in what they put out but it's quite another to sicken it's patrons because the lack of hygiene or standards by your management and establishment. When I asked him for it he said he was in the kitchen so how could he get me my wine. Ok took forever to get refills on our drinks and he never got us menus. We had to ask another employee. We went here for a Saturday lunch before a movie. The service was fine however, I had to return my house salad as it clearly looked old and consisted of mostly white lettuce. The replacement salad was exceptionally better, so we figured no harm done. When our meals came the Thai Salmon was very good, however my husband's Parmesan Crusted Chicken was clearly overly factory processed and not edible. Would have offered more stars a year ago. When they opened service was A++ and food was great. Maybe I was spoiled because I have not been very satisfied lately. The main issues are nobody seems to know when or if the later happy hour is. Went in a few times to be rejected and left. The last time called ahead to make sure and reminded the person on the phone it was Friday and they assured me the late happy hour would be at 10. Went in and the host said they never have happy hour at 10. I explained the situation and that I was taking someone out for their birthday and asked if there was anything at all they could offer. We have been eating at BJ's for 15 years. It is normally high quality. Today was DISGUSTING. I have eaten better burgers at Carl's Jr. The patty was charred and falling apart. The bun was stale, all food was cold. My husbands southern friend chicken was a three inch chicken finger. My daughter's mac and cheese looked like it had sat out all day. It was SO BAD and I am SO disappointed. I expect WAY more from a successful brewery and restaurant. read more

The name is a little odd, and the prices a little more than you would think are necessary. But it is a pleasant, with a large atmosphere and pretty tasty. It reminds me of chic NYC dinners, if they had unlimited space, a brewery, and a chain of stores. BJ's has good happy hour specials on certain days (can't remember which days...too happy I suppose;). My girlfriend says that the restaurant lighting feels romantic, but it is not romantic. She seems confused by it, but I like the lighting. She also says that it is a bit expensive and reminds her of an slightly upper scale Applebees, but unlike Applebess, BJ's has everything on the menu, "literally". (They don't actually have everything on the menu, but they do have a lot.) read more
