The Grilled Chicken Sandwich was fairly typical. Chicken, Monterey Jack cheese, and peppers on a brioche bun. What made this meal special was the side of Fried Cheese Curds. My family and I ate dinner at 300 Suns Brewing after a busy day exploring RMNP. We got there on a Thursday around 6pm and were seated immediately without a wait. They have indoor and patio seating options. We sat on the patio. The weather was beautiful! You request service by using a little sign on the table. Sign up means you need something, sign down means do not disturb. We actually really liked this model; whenever the sign was up service was super prompt and friendly. Wish more places did this. We started with the Colorado Poutine. For entrees our group ordered the Bacon Onion Jam Burger, White Cheddar Bacon Burger, Bulgogi Burger, and the Hatch Chile Philly. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. My fries were a tad over-salted, but still super tasty. I really liked how the toasted buns actually held up to the weight of the burgers. You know how some places use flimsy buns which fall apart while you eat burger? Not the case here. One of our party ordered the Fried Green Beans as their side. Personally I wasn't a fan, but they liked them a lot - said they were the best fried green beans they've ever had. If you're craving a hefty burger - this is the spot for you! read more

Overall great service, I was disappointed with the poutine, there wasn't any pulled pork meat only the broth. They were tasty just not what I was expecting for the description. Good drinks, good food, good vibes. 300 Suns had all the beers I love. The descriptions for them are all amazing too. I wonder who wrote them. Seth provided amazing service and was fun to talk to. He recommended all the yummy stuff for us and even took my side of fried green beans vs cheese curds. He's not wrong, cheese curds are more popular and fried green beans are less commonly found. We freaking love the fried green beans! So deliciously coated with the batter and it goes so well as a beer pairing! My favorite was the Strawberry Vanilla Sour and the Radler, the orange juice and the lemonade on top of the cream ale was so tasty and refreshing! My partner got the Psychotic Balaclava Horchata Imperial Stout as it was award winning and the Lazy Hazy Crazy Day-z NEIPA, both are yummy too. Such a great spot!! The service they have going ok is incredible, you get seated and when you are ready to order someone is so quick to assist! The food was good, especially the bulgogi burger! I really enjoyed two of their brown ales and also a spiced Mexican Stout that was surprisingly balanced, with some nice heat. I have had both the Nashville hot chicken sandwich as well as their burger, and both are excellent. Good fries as well. Another great Longmont Brewery. I was here at opening, as I was on a mission. Three breweries within walking distance of each other, and I only had 90 minutes. I was surprised to learn that food is also served here, and the poutine really caught my eye, but so little time. A slightly more upscale feel than other breweries I've been to, and I really liked the vibe. First time here and I'm a fan. They won the best spicy fried chicken sandwich in Boulder County this year so we were excited to try out the food in addition to some beers. We come to Longmont often and this spot has eluded us... until now. My husband got the Lazy Hazy Crazy...IPA and I sampled the Fortunate Squirrel Nut Brown Ale and the *new* cranberry sage Kölsch. We really enjoyed the first two, but I did not like the kölsch at all. I didn't really get any notes of cran or sage and kind of tasted like a light beer tapped from a keg back at my old college stomping grounds. Not terrible, but just not for me. I decided to try the salted toffee imperial brown ale and that was really tasty - not heavy and was very subtle. For food we shared the poutine which was delicious. The fries remained crispy and the cheese curds on it were sooo good. Def one of the better poutines I've had. We also shared the Colorado Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of curds and the Scratch Burger with fries. Both were delicious. The chicken sandwich had two tenders on it instead of a patty which surprised me and was a little more battered than I like but still juicy and flavorful. The burger was SO DAMN GOOD. It reminded me of a cross between a juicy smash burger and a Philly cheesesteak. The sweet and savory onions gave it an amazing flavor and tbh I'd come back just for the burger alone. The people were friendly and I like how you use the table stand to let your server know that you need something. Very efficient and it seems they run on a team service model where everyone helps out. They were setting up for some live music which we would have loved to stay for because the place has good vibes. It's very chill and looks like a spot you can just hang. It took over an hour to get our meals (2 burgers and some chicken tenders). We never got our appetizer. The burgers were good. The fries were not. The first beer was good. 300 suns is a great go to place for a casual and delicious meal! The staff is great, the food is delicious, and they have a ton of beer options. As you might know, they won Colorado's spicy chicken sandwhich competition. I honestly cannot eat past their first level (Cayenne). I tried to eat the Habanero and my face nearly exploded. If you think you can handle spicy food, I highly recommend you cautiously challenge yourself here. I still can't believe there are people who can handle their highest level!!! My go to meal here is their scratch burger. It's just so easy to eat and has great flavor. I come here just to get the burger. The poutine is also a solid side choice. If you're looking for a relaxed and affordable meal at a place with friendly people--this is a must. They also have live music here sometimes--which was a delightful surprise! Didn't have a beer, iy was lunchtime, more's the pity given how great everything else was! Sat with my dogs on the patio, and the service was awesome! My dogs got water first! My server made great recommendations, and I settled on the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. I was allowed to order a single unseasoned chicken tender to share with my dogs. I was going to go with fries, but my server got really animated when I mentioned the Fried Green Beans, so I went with that as my side. So good! I had the Nashville Hit Chicken sandwich with Fried Green Beans (for an up-charge)! I had the lowest level of heat. The sandwich came dressed with coleslaw and pickles, all delicious. We split a Colorado Poutine for the table and my daughter had the grilled cheese with bacon. For beverages, my daughter had a soda. I used to work in Longmont for several years and there were just a few breweries in town during then. Now it's almost doubled. I imagine it's cheaper to set on up than nearby Boulder but perhaps there are other reasons too. This brewery isn't too far from downtown so you can do a mini pub crawl if so desired with some of the other breweries in this area. For my beer with 300 Suns I had the Blue Corn Maiden Cream Ale. Definitely a tasty and non-aggressive beer as it has sweetness, is light and just all around an easy beer to drink which was perfect for me as I want light beers for summer usually and Colorado was experiencing quite the heat wave when I was visiting! read more

This review hurts my soul. We have been going to 300 Suns regularly since moving into the area several years ago. We would also take all our new friends and introduce them to this once delicious establishment. For the longest time the food was amazing. We loved the Nashville Chicken Hot Sandwich, and craved it on the regular. They recently won the best hot chicken sandwich contest in Colorado a few months ago. I feel like this is when the problems started. The last few times we have eaten here, the food has been not at all what we're used to. The chicken is now tough and flavorless in our once loved sammies. It leaves me wondering what has changed in the kitchen? Is Scratch Kitchen still involved? Are they using a different vendor for their supplies? Is there a new head chef? What the heck is going on? I'm just so sad about it. As usual, the beer is still good. The service is great, as long as you are aware of the flag system. I've read some other reviews and people seem to only be concerned about the service, so it makes me wonder if they know how it works there since we've always had fantastic service using their system. They also have a phenomenal location at the beginning of Main Street, making it an easily accessible location. It's set back from Main with plenty of parking. The ambience is meant for us locals to feel at home, while also being inviting for visitors. At the end of the day, I love this place and want to see it return to its original exquisite flavors. 300 Suns has good food and a casual ambiance. I love the decor. My husband ordered their Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich which he said was perfectly cooked and flavored. Their menu says it was voted best spicy chicken in the 2023 Denver Post bracket. He had a choice of heat level and he chose cole slaw for his side. We shared some French fries and they were seriously delicious, maybe the best French fries I've had. I ordered the Scratch salad without cheese and with black bean hummus, one of their few vegan options. The ingredients tasted fresh; the black bean hummus didn't have much flavor. To get service there's a sign you have to put in a bucket and I found them to be super responsive when you put it in there, but it was kind of weird that no one checks to make sure everything tastes ok or checks to see if you want your water glass refilled. Quick service and a hot sammie? Can't go wrong! You pop a little sign up on your table when you're ready to order and whoever is nearest comes by, which was also so quickly on a busy Wednesday night. The food was really delicious! The sandwich is packed with flavor and definitely very hot. I ordered the second hottest on the menu (habebero level) and my table got the lowest on the menu. Even the lowest was too hot for my friends, so you definitely need to be able to handle the heat when ordering these sandwiches! They're crunchy, delicious, and flavor bombs, though! Loved the added pickles, as well. If you're not a beer drinker, they do have a couple hard seltzers and pre-made canned drinks. My wife had their regular chicken tenders and I took the plunge on their poultrygeist and reaper tenders. 'Love this place! It offers great patio area and area for those with dogs outside. The seating inside is bright and casual. The ordering system is to put a green laminated card inside a small bucket on your table to "call" the wait staff to your table. This is far superior to having someone come by the table every so often and interrupting your conversation. 'Seated at a high top by the window, I ordered one of their multiple "Guest brew" offerings, from an Oregan brewery - Ecliptic Carina's Peach Sour which was flightly fruity, crisp and sour. 300 suns is a chill brewery tucked just off Main Street on the south side of town. It's easy to miss but worth finding. I'm really looking forward to spring and summer weather when the patio feels more inviting but the inside is big and it sounds like they host live music and events from time to time. They use a table flag to request service and it works well. The whole staff is helpful and it never feels like you just have one person looking out for you for better or worse. The whole staff is friendly and on top of it. I had the Nashville hot chicken at the normal cayenne heat. It was hot without taking away from the flavor. I don't think I would enjoy much hotter but I'll definitely have this one again. It sets the bar for Nashville hot chicken in Longmont for sure. Awesome location in Longmont, they have decent indoor and odor seating available, looks like you can bring your dog with you to the outdoor seating. Great selection of beers, enjoyed everything that we tried! I like the service flag down system they have, too. There's a little guy in a bucket you raise up and they will come check on you, the waitstaff checked on us without it, too, and then we're all friendly. The food was AMAZING. We had the 50/50 poutine (couldn't decide which poutine to try, so the (50/50 gives you classic gravy poutine and the green chili poutine). It was super good, the gravy they use has a great rich flavor, the green chili is spiced well and tasty, not my absolute fav green chili but it was super good and went well with the fries. The Nashville hot tenders and cheese curds were so delicious. Spice level on Nashville Hot is perfect, it's real hot and goes great with beer. My husband had the burger and said it was great, too. All in all, I feel like this is great spot. I wish I took some pictures to share but I guess we were too busy enjoying everything.
