I have never had worst service. I sat at the bar with an empty glass and the bartender walked by 3 times and said nothing. This was an empty bar I might add. My girlfriend and I have been into BJ's a couple of times and have had mostly good experiences. Our last visit my burger was on the raw side of undercooked and my girlfriend's salad was missing a couple of key ingredients. However, our server was able to quickly fix the situation and the service made up for the mistakes. I don't drink beer, so this place is just slightly better than fast food. Their menu is massive, which means that the cooks in the back are just reading ingredients from a checklist and don't really put a lot into making the food edible or appetizing. It is a LOUD sports bar, not much else I can say about the atmosphere. I ordered clam chowder in a bread bowl with a side Caesar salad and it was... underwhelming. The bread bowl was hard and stale and there was barely a cup of soup in there, and it soaked into the bowl making a doughy mess at the bottom which was inedible given the stale-ness of the bread. The salad was a pile of limp and soggy lettuce with far too much dressing, and very salty with excessive garlic. I guess if you drink enough beer the food would be better. About the same food you would get at Applebee's or some other chain where the veggies and the gravy are the same color. There are too many other good places to go in town with MUCH better food. Heck, I would rather go to the CA. Pizza Kitchen just across the parking lot any day. But, my hubby is a beer guy, so we wind up going to this place. So, from now on I eat before we go out to this place or I will just order a simple burger. read more

Waited for 47 min before I mentioned my food was taking. A while. Bartender said computer went down and my order got missed. Never saw my check till 47 min in then never charged me for my 2 beers. Pizza was fantastic once received but never saw a manger and waited a good 15 min to cash out. As well really disappointing. read more

If you want to go somewhere that has a great interior and good priced food this is the place. I have been here once before but today I went and had the Ribs, Sirloin and Mash Potatoes and Macaroni. The Ribs tasted good along with the sirloin great taste but the ribs seemed like they either sat in the window or was in a warmer. Not sure if it's standard or not that they don't ask how to cook the sirloin because it was Med-Well possibly even more on the well done side... Mac& Cheese was for sure not fresh because it was cold in many parts of it and with all the viruses going around for sure is scary rather have my food burnt like the ribs than cold Mac and cheese. Not once did the Bartenders ask me how the food was and it wasn't that busy either. I live in denver and traveled to this location because I was very happy with the food the first time but still wasn't happy with my service the first time but it's hard to find good servers for chains so I get it. The worst soup I've ever had in my life. Way over salted, no flavor. It's really hard to mess up soup, but they managed it! The building is new and fashionable, the investors who own the consortium have plenty of money. They sure charge a lot for mediocre frozen entrees. We went on a sunny winter day, and asked to sit in the sun in the their "sunroom" next to nice big windows. Then the management closed the goddamn blinds on us and refused to open them! The PR flack who came by to tell us "No, your preferences are meaningless to our corporate bosses, " explained that it's their policy to close the blinds when the sun finally starts shine in! When Policy trumps customer enjoyment, you know you're in a bad bad place. It's even worse than Appleby's. You'd have a better time buying a six-pack and drinking it at home. read more

This is not a good choice for dinner - at least it wasn't for us. We sat for 15 minutes without being noticed by any waitstaff.. even though they walked by us several times waiting on other tables. We were ready to leave and possibly hop across the street to Baker Street Pub ... instead someone walked close enough to us that I literally had to grab him to get his attention. Yes, 2 minutes later... a waitress shows up.. hallelujah! This was 8:00 pm, so not the busy dinner rush. We ordered two entrees - a 'cobb' salad and a lemon chicken pasta dish. The pasta was horrible. It was as if they had spilled a full salt shaker's contents on top of our dish.. it was extremely salty. My husband likes salt and most of the time will even add salt to his food, but even he said this was over-the-top... WAY over the top on the salt, not edible. So, the cobb salad was strange. Not your usual cobb... it was tiny pieces of chopped, what looked like iceberg lettuce, a little bacon, crumbled feta I believe, and really unsure what else was on that salad. It was also very salty. Actually we weren't sure if it was just the massive salt in our mouths still from the pasta that we were still tasting, but nonetheless... not a good salad. This food was WAY sub par for the price, and the service was lacking. When we told our waitress about our disappointment with our food, she did send out the manager to talk to us. The manager seemed to insinuate that we were making up the salt thing... she said 'huh, not sure why it would taste like salt when we don't even add salt to that sauce...'... and 'maybe it was the ranch dressing... that can be salty'... I don't know, it was SALTY manager, so please believe us and give us some credit. Anyway, she took the food off of the bill, and so we paid for our beers and were on our way.... never to return. Still hungry. At least the beer gave us some nourishment until we could get home and eat PBJ's. Sad, because we had been to the BJ's on Pearl Street back in the day, and it was really good food (pizza) and an enjoyable atmosphere/experience overall. We also had lunch at the Westminster location previously and it was much better food and service than this location. read more

I have been frequenting BJ's since they were on Pearl St. Mall. My kids love it there. We usually sit in the same booth every time we go, and my 2 boys always request that we eat dinner there. I was entertaining friends, and their kids there for my son's birthday, and realized that I'd left my wallet at home. Obviously, I was trying to keep this information from my guests because I excused myself from the table and went to speak to my waiter in private. I told my waiter of my embarrassing situation, and requested the bill and told him I'd be back in less than 20 minutes. What happened next was so mortifying! The manager and waiter come up to the table and I got up to meet them, because, again, I was embarrassed by the situation already. The female manager asks me for my drivers license.... Um.... I just told you people I didn't have my wallet. I gave you my address, and I'm with a table full of kids. I offered to leave my purse there for her, but she declined... I'm not going to go through a extravagant story just to dine and dash! Then, as we were leaving the restaurant, the female manager and another male manager were up front just staring at us as we left! I came back in less than 15 minutes and paid. I told the female manager how absolutely awkward she had made things, and they have now lost a longtime regular, who has never spent less than $85 in a visit. She actually looked at me and told me that she just had a family walk on their bill last week. I wonder if that family approached their waiter and explained their situation and expressed their intention to come back and pay. Mistakes happen, and I would never have treated someone like a criminal! On a side note. We were there for an hour and 15 minutes, and my son didn't get his birthday dessert or a birthday song to him because of all of this ruckus. Thanks, BJ's! Never again. read more

We waited forty minutes to get our food and when it did come we were missing French fries to go with my sandwich and waited an additional twenty minutes to get the fries. When we finally got our bill we were charged for two additional meals. The bill was fixed but took even longer. I'm not even from here and we came here because we frequently go to the one back home. Given this new location a couple of tries, and have found myself consistently disappointed. Today was an all-time low. It took our server 10+ minutes to come and take our drink order. My tomato soup tasted great but looked disgusting: the oil (how much is in there?) had separated from the rest of the soup. It was so unappetizing I almost couldn't eat it. We then waited maybe 20+ minutes for our lunch entrees. Mine was delicious (a vegetarian pasta), but a very small portion, even for lunch; our daughter's kid's spaghetti was larger than mine. They forgot to bring our daughter her applesauce, left my drink unfilled for quite a while, and seemed generally disinterested in our business. The food is meh, the service poor, and the parking impossible. I think it will be awhile before we go back, which is too bad, since they do have great lunch specials and offer a seated-style lunch when other places like Red Robin have gone the way of the dodo. read more

My two friends took me to BJs for the first time tonight for a birthday dinner. We were seated with menus and told a server would be right with us. When we arrived, we were seated in a large section where only two other parties were seated; throughout the restraunt we could see maybe eight tables seated total, not including the bar, which was mostly empty. We saw at least four different waiters in addition to the hostess and the two seating hostesses. We then proceeded to sit there for over fifteen minutes, long after we had closed out menus and were actively looking around attempting to make eye contact with any waitstaff, as we watched multiple waitstaff and hostesses walk near and past our table. A table was then seated next to us, and within a minute had a waiter at their table attending to them, while we had been waiting almost twenty for any sort of acknowledgement. We got up and left; on our way out, we stopped at the hostesses' stand to let her know that we had never been attended to and were leaving; her response was "Oh, okay." I work in the restraunt industry and every aspect of this was horrible service. There was no excuse for no one to have stopped to make sure we were doing okay when not only did we clearly not even have waters at our table but we were sitting up and looking around attempting eye contact with ANYONE. I know how the industry works, and this was a dropped ball and lost customers by everyone involved, starting with whoever ailed to notice or assign us, and ending with the hostess's dismissive response when we told her what had happened to cause three customers to walk out of her restraunt, instead of a basic apology or any attempt whatsoever to fix the situation. read more

DONT GO. !!!! Horrible service and manager Cody ? should be fired. Went in to eat and watch a game with 9 people at about noon and asked for a table to watch game, place was empty but lots of staff, three at hostess stand even they told us they would get a table ready, 15 min later we were still waiting and they told us that they were waiting for our waiter to clock in. I finally said aren't you going to seat us and get us some waters? They said agoin our waiter hadn't started but guess they could seat us at table. We sat down and after 10 more and still no waiter or water. I went to the bar and asked for a manager and after about five minutes he came out. I told him what was going on and he said he would get someone right over and five minutes later still no water or order...the waiter did ok but they were very slow to get us waters snd said they needed to take the drink orders up before getting us our app order. Food was good enough, the manager Cody never came back out, and we realized he had been sitting behind us drinking coffee while we waited for our waters and had to know how mad we were getting and ignored it and us.staff standing all around, no apologies or even an offer of a free drink, at that point they should have had everyone helping us. In CALIFORNIA, all my BJ's experiences have been 5 star worthy. But since I just moved into town, I thought I would go to a favorite restaurant expecting the same experience. But I was surprised. I asked for a salad with no walnuts because I can't eat walnuts and of course, my salad had nuts. The salad looked like someone's leftovers there was barely any on the plate. Then my pasta dish had no flavor and was undercooked. Finally, my Pizookie was raw! I mean that's a health hazard if someone got salmonella poisoning then they would be in big trouble! The one star is for the waiter who was great, but since it's Colorado I'm convinced the chef was probably most likely high off marijuana because he did an extremely lousy job. Definitely will not be going back here again and will stick to California BJ's only. read more

I generally avoid this kind of generic brewpub. But my kids like it so I give in once or twice a year. AND I ALWAYS REGRET IT! This it took over an hour ordering dinner and the arrival of our dinner. The waiter could not have been nicer. Not his fault. I spoke to the manager, who could not explain why, on a weeknight, with one-third of tables empty, the kitchen could not produce four meals. The offer of a free dessert did not compensate for time wasted waiting for ordinary food. NEVER AGAIN! read more

BJ's may not be the snazziest or hippest place to eat, but it certainly is dependable in terms of flavor. My husband may have had the best cooked chicken breast of his life one time, only to get the normal, average, slightly-dry chicken breast the next. So the jury is out on that one. I however, enjoyed my steak and salmon that I've ordered so far. They seem to be busy every time we've gone - and of course I signed up for the VIP program. I think that it's a reasonably priced meal for the qualify of food that you receive. The s'mores dessert is WAY TOO SWEET though. So I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place for desserts because it seems like all their desserts are overly sweet. Give me good flavor with a pleasant amount of sweetness anytime, but holy moly it was way too sweet for me. Anyways, I like to think that this place will become a place I frequent regularly for good ol' American food. read more

Didn't expect much and BJ's underdelivered. The food was simple, a blackened salmon ceasar salad and their jambalaya, and it was pretty good at a solid 3 out of 5 stars. What made the experience pretty miserable was the staff. The only one who seemed remotely happy was the hostess. The wait staff had permanent scowls on their faces, and it wasn't just our waitress Christa. The waitress who came over to tell us someone would be with us soon, our waitress, the third waitress who slammed our pates down on the table, and the waitress we flagged down all had frowns on their faces and were obviously unhappy. Not sure what management is doing to make them all so unpleasant but they should are a long look at it because customers can see and feel the negativity. read more

I love paying $2.75 for club soda (that's per glass folks!). When I seek refreshment in the form of BUBBLED WATER to wash down horribly over salted food at a overpriced pretentious eatery, I head on over to BJ's Brewhouse. I recommend avoiding the burgers, quest sauce, chicken lettuce wraps and ahi tuna salad. That is, of course, unless you crave salt like a deer at a salt lick. I feel like BJ's doesn't know what kind of restaurant it's trying to be. There are crystal chandeliers hanging right next to big screen TVs. It's not particularly welcoming or memorable. The menu is heavy and thick, but feels out of order. Truthfully, nothing jumped out to either member of our party. We both ended up getting the Santa Fe salad which is iceberg lettuce, chicken, corn, tomatoes, avocado, and tortilla strips, with some southwestern ranch type sauce. $15 per salad! The mark up on that is astronomical. And it's not because of the avocado either. I asked for mine on the side and it was a very small slice of avocado. The salad tasted alright, but it's nothing to write home about. If I'm not mistaken, it was supposed to have blackened chicken, but there was nothing blackened about the chicken on either salad. The service was sub par. She took our order and we didn't see her again until we asked for our check. I can't recommend this place. $15 for a salad like that is, quite simply, greedy and ridiculous. This used to be a staple when I was back in HB, CA years ago, so I was excited that they had one out here to grab a later meal and watch a game. However, I've been here about 10 different occasions now with the s.o. and friends over the past couple of years and every single time the service is AWFUL. As a manager of a local restaurant, I would write up my servers immediately if they gave the service they do to me here. I'm not even being picky but when one of the servers asks me a question and I answer directly yet politely and they continuously serve me improper food and never once apologize, I'm going to get mad. As two people who work for multi-million dollar companies that specialize in a great customer experience, I will never return to this restaurant. As soon as we walked in the door the hostess and waitresses gave my girlfriend and I dirty looks. After being seated our waitress took our drink order, then proceeded to stand next to the hostess (in my very plain field of view) and snicker and point at us. What a disappointment! We arrived in the early afternoon on a Sunday...the place was busy, but there were plenty of open tables. We were seated right away and our server took our order for an appetizer to share (we had some hesitation between two different dishes ...this comes into play later) and our entrees. The appetizer arrived quickly, but the server just dropped it in the middle of the table and sped off. We had to catch her eye to ask for plates, since it was a little messy and there were three of us and we didn't want to slop the sauce all over the table. Our server returned with a stack of 3 small plates and sped off again. As we passed the plates around, we noticed the middle plate had food stuck to it. Ugh. We finished the appetizer and waited...and waited...and waited. One person ordered coffee in the meantime; it arrived in a mug that had food stuck to the outside. The server never offered to refill it, we had to ask. Forty minutes later our entrees finally showed up. The food was ok...nothing special. We decided against dessert and asked for the check; it incorrectly included two appetizers, although we only ordered one. Once the bill got straightened out, we were glad to leave. Mediocre food, terrible service, and complete disregard for special dietary needs. After ordering wine, I tried to order a fish dish and ask if they could make it gluten free (I recently learned that I have a serious reaction to gluten that borders on celiac disease). The waitress says she can bring me a gluten-free menu, but I ask for her to check first if I can have the fish, and then bring me the menu if that is not an option. She returns to tell me that the dish is no longer on the menu at all. I ask for a gluten free menu and the waitress acts surprised that I still want it. I point out that I still need to order, and that was the only thing on the menu that looked remotely gluten-free! She returns eventually with the most confusing menu that I have ever seen. They have listed all of the items in their menu with circles next to them to indicate allergy issues, but have not mentioned whether circles mean they contain the allergen or not! I have to figure out based on context clues what the circles mean (neither the waitress knows [she seems to find this funny that she doesn't know] nor does the menu explain its symbols). At the end of the menu is a brief "gluten free menu" that is really just a list of a few specific items that they are willing to modify for you (although a decent restaurant should be able to modify most of its dishes). And all the changes are just removals of major parts of the dish, like the sauce or the rice (which should have been something they could make without adding gluten to it!!!). They won't change prices, even though they are removing parts of the dish (so you are getting less food for the same amount of money). I end up getting a dish that comes with a salad. The waitress tells me that the salad has lettuce, cucumber, carrots, and croutons, but can ensure that they leave off the croutons and give me gluten free dressing. This sounds fine to me. But they come out 20 minutes later with a salad that is drenched in caesar dressing, has no carrots or cucumbers, and is covered in croutons. I try to explain to the waitress that I can't eat it because it will make me sick, and she apologizes and returns it to the kitchen. She returns with a new "salad" that is just a plate of lettuce drenched in caesar dressing. Normally, caesar dressing has gluten added to it, but I make the mistake of trusting BJ's... and am now paying the price. My main dish was originally an Atlantic salmon in a sauce on a rice pilaf, but apparently all of that contains gluten. So what I get is just a hunk of salmon on some white rice with some steamed vegetables. This is a dish that I could make at home with much more flavor for 1/4 of the price, even assuming that I bought fresh, wild caught Atlantic salmon ($14.99 at the Whole Foods across the street). I was very disappointed. But disappointment turned to frustration and pain when I got very sick with the symptoms of my gluten sensitivity about 3 hours later, revealing to me that my dish was NOT gluten free as they said. I will definitely never return to any BJ's! read more

We will never eat here again. The service and food are always a hit and miss, but tonight was the worse we have ever had. We had a new waiter that was trying his hardest, but half the time he could not find his trainer. Our glasses were empty most of the time, which is a big pet peeve of mine. Our food came out and not one of us received a decent meal. My husband ordered a bacon cheese bison burger. The burger wasn't hot and the toppings (the very few he received) were just thrown on the burger. We also purchased the Chicken pita Tacos that came with a side of couscous. The portion was so small you could eat it in 4 bites. I purchased the salmon which could not have been over 2 ounces. The quinoa was so salty and we counted 4 slices of mushrooms and 8 small pieces of asparagus. We asked our waiter about it, but since he was new he had no answer. When the trainer showed up we asked him but he seemed to not care. It wasn't until we paid our bill and we said we would never be back that the manager came to speak to my husband? She said that if she would have know sooner she would have made it right. What kind of answer is that. You are talking to us, you could have made it right! read more
