Amazing again ! Our go-to location for BJs in the area, writing a review again for an amazing rejuvenating Fri night dinner and for our super helpful and friendly server Jared. We called in to reserve our spot and the table was ready in 10mins - before the sms even confirmed it! The food and the triple chocolate chip pizookie were right on time and hit the mark ! The music and the vibe were perfect to rekindle our love for BJs !

It's a BJ's -- not sure what folks are expecting, but it delivers exactly what you'd think it would. It's quick, familiar, sit-down "fast food" style dining. Nothing revolutionary, but also not trying to be. The food isn't the best you'll ever have, and it's not the worst either -- it's consistent and dependable. The servers are nice, service is generally quick, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a busy, casual chain restaurant. For me, there's a bit of nostalgia to it. It reminds me of eating out as a kid -- simple, predictable, and comfortable. Sometimes that's exactly what you're in the mood for. Decent pizza, decent wings, a little too salty calamari, good beer, and decent pasta

BBQ Barbeque Chicken Pizza - Shareable

I stopped in on a Thursday, fairly early in the afternoon. Ambiance was a pub style restaurant and fairly quiet since not many people were there. They asked me to sit anywhere and I had to have my take cleaned since it was still dirty. The service over all was friendly and prompted, nothing bad to say. I order the shareable deep dish BBQ chicken pizza. I love pizza and this type specifically, but BJ sort of missed the mark. The topping were overall pretty light. Decent amount of chicken but I was disappointed in the sauce and cheese. The crust is different. It was not typical thick crust pizza. It was almost hard in texture and a little off putting. Honestly just an ok pizza that some will love but pizza lovers should be cautious.

The Monday happy hour is 1/2 off pizza and $6 margaritas. i live that they're open late. The U-shaped booths are great for kids. We love it here.

First SXSW weekend, it's nice and quiet at 12:30 for lunch. We started with the avocado egg rolls, not bad but would have preferred a lesser ripened avocado, the dipping sauce was interesting. Entrees was the large gourmet 5 meat and the shrimp scampi pasta. The pizza crust is like a focaccia bread but good flavor. The pasta was good, the noodles cooked al dente and shrimp perfectly tender and flavorful with the knotted bread, yum. This isn't our first choice to dine but it was decent. Prices sure have adjusted due to inflation, for sure.

BJ's is solid. It never wows me or anything but it's a decent place to grab a meal. The service is often splendid. It's never going to be my go to spot or anything. Their drinks

    Feathers on wings.

Our experience at BJ's in Cedar Park, TX, was disappointing. Our waitress had a visible attitude and was slow throughout the service. The wings still had feathers on them, and the cookie in the Pizookie was so hard that the ice cream couldn't soften it. We ended up having to ask for a manager, who removed the wings and Pizookie from our bill--thank you to him for that. We did not take any of those item's home. Unfortunately, the service continued to decline. As I was scanning the app to pay, the waitress asked if we were paying with the app. I said yes. Then she came back and asked the same question again. I replied yes, all the while entering the card information. While I was still in the process of paying, she loudly announced that it didn't go through. Given the combination of poor service, food quality issues, and an uncomfortable payment experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend this location.

I've eaten at 4-5 BJ's restaurants and have not had a bad experience yet. Tonight we had some awesome salads and Jaden provided excellent service. I read a couple of bad reviews for here and can't understand how. I've eaten at this particular BJ's and I've never had anything other than excellent food and service. I live about 5 mins away and will definitely be back. FYI- pretty cool date night spot for least min plans. Can't miss the mark coming here Thanks Jaden

As I was leaving the We Are Blood donor center on Bell Boulevard, I thought "why not check out a brewery I don't visit very often for lunch?" (kids, I am a professional. Don't try this at home--a brewery visit right after dropping a pint is probably not a donor center recommendation for most normal folks). A search on "breweries near me" revealed that this spot was 1 mile away. Winner. Plenty of parking front and side, the taproom was pleasant inside and out. I took a seat at a nearly full bar next to a good group of World Cup (ESP/AUT) watchers. Two big TVs over the bar, in a large taproom/dining area with 5 more, shared with the sort of "built-in food truck" called "600 Degrees Pizza" except it's a proper pizza shop, no wheels. There's a shaded outdoor patio with a bar window, and 5 more TVs, and a covered tent area beyond that, with a play area for the kiddos. Had a Ray Ray Hazy IPA, crisp and cold and delicious NE-style IPA. I walked over to the pizza counter and ordered a slice, considered the slice/salad lunch special but opted for the HH slice special, pepperoni at $5. Minutes later a guy delivered the single largest pizza slice I have ever tried to hold in my hand to my seat at the bar. Apparently they do a 6-cut TWENTY FOUR INCH PIE for slices, so my slice was 75.4 square inches of tasty gooey goodness. Unwieldy, and took some tactical consumption logistics calculation, but I finished every bit--a meal for me, and I was glad I skipped the salad. Very good pie, and VERY filling. One more small beer, from Jester King, as I watched Spain knock Austria out 3-0. Friendly folks on both sides of the bar, good beer, and good food in a nice taproom. I'll be back.

With this brewery I got a beer type I don't always get and when I do it's a nice change of pace and that is a Brown Ale. I took the opportunity to get one here and the name of this brewery's version is a fun one... it's called Velvet Nunchuks. The flavor profile in this one is good... in it you can have fun with detecting caramel, roastiness and maltiness. The beer is smooth and has nice mouthful due to that. Whitestone was a good stop even if it is a bit of a ways from downtown Austin.

There's a large row of coolers that run along the right side with a wide variety of styles/breweries and even NA options-and the back has a lot of European and domestic 'whales' that run high price tags but are harder to find. You can mix and match pretty much anything. Is it a bar? You could say that, any of the beers in the cooler can be consumed on-site; there's picnic tables both inside and outside and there's bar type games: pinball, foosball, darts that you can play while you hang out and drink. They don't have a kitchen but there's always a food truck right outside or you can bring your own in. I've never been for bingo or comedy nights or anything like that. I come for the brews, chill out and eat good food; it's kind of like being in someone's rec room but with way more beer. My only real knock is the corkage fee, if you're going to drink on-site they do charge $2 bucks per, which doesn't seem like much but it adds up.

I may visit Obsidian Brewery time after time after time after time and never find out how their beer is. This is because a) They have an outstanding bar and b) They have an outstanding kitchen. For me, beer is a hardship beverage you drink when there is nothing else better available. When I go to a bar, I can sometimes be looking for mix-mastering. Usually I am looking for outstanding top of the line hard spirits. * * * When I walked into Obsidian, I looked at their bar. It was love at first sight. In front of me were twenty yards of three shelves of the most wonderful bottles I could possibly imagine. Half of them I had never heard of before. * * * I settled on a Buddha's Hand Gin. Buddha and Gin rarely appear in the same sentence Never mind the same label on a bottle. I ordered it straight up. I went immediately to Nirvana. Forget the meditation and the austerities. The Buddha's Hand Gin was as good as a trip to the Himalayas. Buddha's Hand is an obscure citrus fruit that grows multiple protuberances the way some horseradishes do. It is golden and looks like a hand. Ergo the name. The Buddha's Hand Gin is a citrus tinged gin with an edge more like orange zest than like orange juice. The additional botanicals make it strong, attention grabbing, fruity and yet combative. I was absolutely fascinated. Note that Buddha's Hand Gin is only one of the many items they have to explore there. I am totally ready to do more exploring. * * * The kitchen at Obsidian is also of distinction. The savvy local guide I came with adored his Thai Curry Wood Fired Rings. I went with a Cheesy Bread. This is open-faced grilled cheese on a thick slice of bread the size of a shoebox, with a wonderful homemade tomato sauce on about 1/3 of it. It is the best cheese pizza you have ever had. It is what cheese pizza is supposed to be if you don't use the standard canned ingredients that institutional providers sell to Domino's. I was as in love with my cheese bread as I was with my citrus gin. * * * The company was also outstanding. Which is just as well because Obsidian is a social place. Lots of Leanderthals having a fine time in couples and groups. This is not a loner's loser bar. You know - the dark rooms with misfits drinking their sixth beer while watching TV. This is a good folks good times full-of-sunlight place. So you definitely want to come with good folks. * * * Good food, good bottles, good people. And if you are feeling chipper, You can even have a homemade beer to celebrate.
