I couldn't finish the chicken and replaced with the All American Smashburger. Again, visually great but it was way too salty with minimal lettuce/tomato/onion and the fries tasted like it made hours ago. For a first visit to BJs, I am highly disappointed. I heard many good things about this spot and their food but was let down by the service as well as the food. My mother liked her shrimp scampi as it's her go to, but my wings were mediocre and messed with my stomach quite a bit. I ordered the Nashville Hot (spicy) and Hot Honey Buffalo (medium) wings and neither were spicy/had a kick in the slightest. The hot honey wings tasted like there was just honey on the wings, not even a hint of Buffalo sauce. The service was decent; I was constantly looking for our waitress who seemed to want to get us out by the way she dropped the check without a word. Didn't ask how the food was or if we needed anything throughout the meal unless we flagged her down. Upon checkout, they charged our check 2x and the manager Hiro was incredibly unhelpful. It was like pulling teeth to get him to come to our table and we waited an extra 20 minutes to get this situation resolved because he was not coming over. He seemed to just want to get us out rather than actually understand and figure out the issue, which was that the waitress charged us and then he also charged us for the whole meal. After he returned, he said it'll just be a penny hold and was dismissive when we tried to explain the situation. The penny hold was untrue, as both charges were deducted from the account already. At this point we were tired and wanted to leave as we had long finished eating so we requested a refund receipt for the second charge and got ready to leave and wait the 1-3 business days for the refund to appear on the account. He informed us he could not do that/did not have one which was unacceptable and we were not leaving until we got one. He had to get another manager, Jose, to resolve the problem. Jose listened and fixed the issue swiftly and provided us with the refund receipt, I wish he had been the manager that helped at first. Title: The Case of the Missing Cheese Ordered dinner from the BJ's app last night, and it felt like a mystery novel. First, we were told they were out of avocado egg rolls and all three pork chop dinners. Then when we arrived, we were told again the egg rolls were gone -- so we swapped for mozzarella sticks. Plot twist: the waitress brings out a bag with both the egg rolls and the mozzarella sticks. Another plot twist: none of our dinners were in the bag. Had to show the order and the $142 charge to get everything sorted. Final twist of the night? We got home and the mozzarella sticks were completely hollow. Not a drop of cheese. BJs to me is nostalgia. Growing up, BJs was one of the only restaurant options in my town. I have so many memories of dinners with friends at BJs, enjoying the food and especially their iconic pizookies. This location did not disappoint. Went there yesterday with my kids and their dad for an early dinner. We were seated right away, and received prompt + attentive service. Ordered chicken wings (Nashville hot & buffalo sauce), an order of sliders, and the corn dogs kids meal, along with two of their beers brewed in-house. Chicken wings - 10/10 phenomenal! The sauces were on point, super flavorful. The wings had a good amount of meat on them. Sliders - 9/10, a tad salty but still super tasty. We added American cheese to ours which took it to the next level. Kids corn dogs - big portion. My 6 year old and 2 year old shared one kids meal and were full by the end. The classic chocolate chip pizookie was absolutely delicious, and a regular size can be comfortably shared by 4'people. The beers (BJs lager and Jeremiah Red) were fabulous and affordable!' They asked me to sit anywhere and I had to have my take cleaned since it was still dirty. The service over all was friendly and prompted, nothing bad to say. I order the shareable deep dish BBQ chicken pizza. I love pizza and this type specifically, but BJ sort of missed the mark. The topping were overall pretty light. Decent amount of chicken but I was disappointed in the sauce and cheese. The crust is different. It was not typical thick crust pizza. It was almost hard in texture and a little off putting. First SXSW weekend, it's nice and quiet at 12:30 for lunch. We started with the avocado egg rolls, not bad but would have preferred a lesser ripened avocado, the dipping sauce was interesting. Entrees was the large gourmet 5 meat and the shrimp scampi pasta. The pizza crust is like a focaccia bread but good flavor. The pasta was good, the noodles cooked al dente and shrimp perfectly tender and flavorful with the knotted bread, yum. This isn't our first choice to dine but it was decent. The service really depends on who you get, when we went the first time our server Jared was AMAZING very attentive and super quick to get out orders and had no issues. When we went this past time we had a server named Kayla and the service was not great in the slightest. and it wasnt even during a rush, barely checked on us, got my friends drink wrong, we had empty cups for probably 20 minutes. We love the pazookies so we will continue to come back but i also ordered a steak medium rare and it was medium at best in some places. Our experience at BJ's in Cedar Park, TX, was disappointing. Our waitress had a visible attitude and was slow throughout the service. The wings still had feathers on them, and the cookie in the Pizookie was so hard that the ice cream couldn't soften it. We ended up having to ask for a manager, who removed the wings and Pizookie from our bill--thank you to him for that. We did not take any of those item's home. Unfortunately, the service continued to decline. As I was scanning the app to pay, the waitress asked if we were paying with the app. I said yes. Then she came back and asked the same question again. I replied yes, all the while entering the card information. While I was still in the process of paying, she loudly announced that it didn't go through. I had the Kickin' Chicken Sandwich and thought it was the best "bang for your buck" order. The fries were crispy and the sandwich itself was a bit dry, but decently sized. My partner's Spaghetti and Meatballs were nothing special - I feel like I could have made the same dish at home for a fraction of the cost. I had the ahi salad which looked just like the picture in the menu which I didn't expect. It had a lot more dressing than I anticipated but it was still delicious nonetheless. The tuna tasted of pretty good quality, but the only complaint I have is that there are just dollops of wasabi on the edges of the plate, not mixed in to the salad or anything. So sometimes when I was eating, I would just get unexpected mouthfuls of wasabi which wasn't the most enjoyable. Other than that, delicious! We learned from our favorite server David P that you can order the pizookie frozen if you are too full to eat it, and I may try that option next time. My son ordered the smash burger and I had the southern fried chicken; both came out quickly even though the restaurant was very busy.
