I never complain to this extent but we were pretty disappointed. Me and my husband came here to celebrate something very special to us. I ordered a mocktail asking to remove an ingredient, the server seemed confused telling me the drink wasn't on the menu until I showed her on the menu in front of me. I also asked for a water. Drink showed up 10-15 mins later with the ingredient I asked to be removed, and no water. We had to wait 5+ mins for straws after the wait for drinks. My husband is very plain with his food and asked for a plain bacon cheese burger, burger showed up with a ton of things on it. We asked for it to be fixed and when it came back it still had guacamole on the bun. Finally the manager came and once we explained the situation he quickly fixed the burger completely and took care of a chunk of the bill which we were very appreciative for although we hate to even have to have that happen. The cost is never the issue to us, and we're willing to wait for our food especially on a busy night such as tonight. We had a reservation. It was Saturday night. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and checked in with the hostess. Six o'clock came and went. After our reservation time had passed by five to ten minutes, my husband inquired about when we might get seated. Rather than cordially explain the delay, the hostess snapped at him and defensively said that we arrived early and it was only a little after 6. We were the next party seated and hoped for a better experience. Our waiter was lovely when he greeted us. He promptly took our drink orders and also offered to take our food order if we were ready. We were. Hubby got a burger, I got a salad. I asked for oil and vinegar instead of the dressing the salad came with. It took a while to get our food - but the place was busy so I understand. The waiter said my salad was ready but the burger was not - asking if he should bring the salad. I'm a slow eater so we said yes. I have no clue how this is possible but the kitchen was not familiar with oil and vinegar dressing and was unable to provide it. ???? Unreal. I opted to eat my salad dry - which I often do so no big deal. When the salad was brought out it was BAD. The chicken was OK but the green and other fixings few and far between. My husband's burger and fries were fine. He ate every bite. I need to add, the only reason we ate at this restaurant was because we had been at Lazy Boy right before which is located in the same hard to navigate area. The parking lot in that area is a mess and the entrance and exits are a bear. Given the whole package - we will never come back to this restaurant. For starters, our hostess seated us, but we did not have a server for at least 15 minutes. My Parmesan chicken set under the heat lamps a little too long, which caused it to be very rubbery. They have changed their mashed potato recipe, and now it is more consistent with instant mashed potatoes and not creamy garlic ones from before. My day ask for blackened salmon however that is not what he received. This used to be my favorite restaurant due to having so many different entrées to choose from however, it seems every time I visit it's not up to par. From the moment we sat down, the experience was great. Our server, Tiffany, greeted us within three minutes with a warm, friendly introduction, and honestly, it was one of the better server interactions I've had in a long time. She was upbeat, attentive, and made sure everything flowed smoothly from start to finish. The atmosphere was perfect--dim lighting that felt cozy but not too dark, and the restaurant was comfortably full without feeling crowded. Even though they close at midnight, there was no sense of being rushed. Staff stayed attentive, tables were consistently cleaned, and everything felt well-managed and organized. Manager Vanessa even came over to greet us, which added a really nice personal touch--especially since this was a last-minute decision to come here. I'm genuinely glad we did. We ordered the spinach dip appetizer, drinks with two shots of Don Julio, and a prime rib with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Everything was amazing. - LONG REVIEW HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I came in around 6:30pm and was seated in the bar area. It was somewhat busy, but not nearly busy enough to justify being completely ignored for the first 15 minutes. A server walked past me multiple times - looked right at me , says nothing! A simple "I'll be right with you" goes a long way. I wasn't the only one--another couple nearby was also visibly frustrated and ended up walking out. Looking back, I should've done the same. Eventually, someone from the bar finally took my order. I asked for mozzarella sticks and a Mango Cart beer, which of course they were out of. Food came quickly, so I put in my entrée right away--a sirloin with mashed potatoes--thinking it might take a while. By this time, I'd already been there about 35 minutes. Then, instead of my steak, someone brought me salmon and rice. The bartender/server took it back, only to return saying it would "be a little longer." No apology, no attempt to make it right. Meanwhile, she stood at the bar chatting with the hostess and what seemed to be a manager (who clearly had no idea what he was doing- he was pretending to make drinks). They were obviously talking about my order, glancing my way, yet neither had the decency to come over and address it. The hostess at least checked on me--credit to her. But the "manager" gentleman didn't have the cajones to say anything.. didn't say a word, even when he walked right past my table. That silence spoke louder than anything. His staff's Poor service is a direct reflection of his crappy leadership, and it showed. Bottom line: BJ's Brewhouse completely dropped the ball tonight. Zero accountability, zero hospitality. We had to ask for our bill after we had finished and waited at least 15 min. My husband and I went for dinner on Monday, July 14. It was early, not too many people there yet. We like to sit at the bar, so we did. Only two other people at the bar. So, we sat. We saw 2 bartenders walking back and forth. But no one talked to us. About 10 minutes went by, finally one of them stopped and asked us about drinks. Now I know ten minutes isn't long, but when they are walking back and forth, not really doing anything, it is. So she took our drink order and then our food order. Husband ordered the wedge steak salad. I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. It didn't take long at all to get our food. And that's probably they forgot to heat it up. Husband said his steak was cold and had no flavor. I know it's a salad, but the steak is usually served warm. My food was cold also. And it had a really weird faint flavor. It wasn't Parmesan. It actually tasted like spoiled cream. Maybe it was sour cream. But I couldn't eat it. The Alfredo sauce was very runny, like soup. So, I don't know what they use for Alfredo but it was yuk! I was really pissed, but didn't say anything. Instead, I took it home, took the chicken and broccoli off of it and rinsed the sauce off the noodles. Got out a skillet and made my own Alfredo sauce. Added the chicken and broccoli. Heated it all up and ate it. Now THAT was better. So, BJ's, you need to rethink your Alfredo. Because what was on my plate was nothing like Alfredo. There was a standard food menu, lunch special menu and drink menu. We shared the sriracha queso dip and did not find it spicy, and had a weird texture in our mouths after eating it. We ordered some different sandwiches and salads from the lunch menu and then started to wait. And wait. And wait. Our server wasn't busy with other tables, she just would disappear into the back for a while and it took almost half an hour for the food to come out. Half of it came out about 5 minutes before the other half. We were missing the sides of ranch and bbq sauce that were asked for when we ordered, and it took another 5 minutes to get them. By the time the food came out the fries were all cold as were the sandwiches. We tried to make the best of it and enjoy our time together. It was the heart of the dinner rush around 7 pm so it was truly crowded but Alexis truly came through with her positive energy, smiles and awesome customer service. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and my brother ordered the potstickers and something else. I can't remember but the food was HOT and delicious!!! I watched her order food for the server before she even gave me a menu (that I had to ask for) which was dirty. when I got the food the pasta was fine but the shrimp was cold. when she asked if I wanted dessert I said no, I was also gonna ask for the bill but she walked away and talked to the same server. my food was also missing the bread that comes with it, I let her know that it usually comes with bread and she says "maybe." I decided to get the mini pizza, I'm a fan of deep dish pizza but we'll get to that later. The appetizers came out nice and hot for spinach artichoke dip and mozzarella sticks. The wedge salad what's good for a wedge salad blue cheese bacon tomatoes onions. The mini pizzas came out but they didn't come out in the lil pan. I was very disappointed... because when they were placed on the plate they were cold in the middle. Dough not done. The taste is similar to a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza. Had to wait at the host station as the hostess was too busy playing on her phone to realize there were potential customer waiting. I allowed this to go on for approximately 60-70 seconds until I made a subtle cough to alert here that there were humans standing in front of her. We made a 6:30 reservation days in advance and when we arrived we were told that everyone had the same reservation time and a wait couldn't be approximated. I think BJs is short staffed and struggling. It took about 10 minutes to get a seat, when the restaurant wasn't that full when we arrived. I also tried to put my name in on the app, but it wasn't letting me. Once we sat, another 10 min went by. We saw a server slowly clearing plates and cleaning a table nearby, and he didn't make eye contact. My 5 year old wanted to leave. The server that eventually helped us asked "have you been helped" and was immediately was very apologetic, clearly we were not his table but he was going to make it right. I ordered the quinoa bowl with shrimp and an Oktoberfest beer - though advertised, it wasn't available yet. Settled on a Hefeweizen. My kid got a pizza with sides of applesauce and broccoli. The food was good, not great. The quinoa bowl did have some spice and I do like they have an "enlightened menu" with dishes under 1000 calories. The menu is big, they do beer and pizza well. I did like that I was also able to pay on my phone. Again, I fear another victim of COVID related staffing issues, be prepared to wait if you must come here. read more

My man was craving a steak, so here we are. We started with the Chicken Tortilla Soup, we ordered the one for $7.65. We were told this was a bowl, wrong. We only received a very very small cup. The soup was way too salty and we didn't even finish it. Don't think we will ever order it again, sad because we both love tortilla soup. This is the sole reason for the four stars instead of five. On to the entrees. My man ordered the Tri-Tip and Grilled Chicken with Green Beans and a House Salad with Italian. The steak was a 6 oz of slow-roasted sirloin which was delicious, cooked close to perfect and had an amazing glaze. I originally wanted the Double Bone-In Pork Chop, but when I went to order, it had been 86'd. So back to the menu to pick something else. I finally opted for the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Broccoli. It came with two chicken breasts topped with sun-dried tomatoes, basil, shredded parmesan cheese and a lemon chardonnay butter sauce. Yummy...
