This place was SO good! We have a kiddo in the hospital here in Columbus but live in CA. We got a late start today and were craving brunch, but didn't want to have food regret by rushing or decision and ending up somewhere mid. I went here for a small networking event. We ended up being there during happy hour (1/2 off cocktails) and tried a bunch (we were walking home). I liked the rose cooker, though the old fashion was nice too. For food, the meatballs were fantastic, and the chips that came with the pimento dip were homemade. Came here to meet some family. So it was a suggestion by them. It's a cute place. Pretty big. Has an inside space that is open and a nice looking patio. The distillery has a nice array of alcohol. They also have a good amount of craft specials with their liquor. We did not eat any food. So I cannot comment on the food. Looked good but we did not eat just drank. We were lucky and just hit Happy Hour. So good timing! We got some banana rum and coke, the banana slide drink. Both good. Then a regular rum and coke and a few beers from the beer list. Then we just hung out. Server was nice. She checked in a few times. It's a big space so when crowded it can be loud. They have the prerequisite TV's with sports. Prices are around $12 or so. The night we went was their 7 year anniversary so there was a drink special so all cocktails were $7! It was packed but we had a reservation and got in right when we walked in. We were here to celebrate a birthday with a large party, and High Bank had the table all set out and ready exactly at our reservation time. Our server was fantastic and systematic. He would check around the table, individually, often, and drinks rarely ran empty. The table's water jugs were refilled constantly. Plus, he was polite too! High Bank was really sweet, and they sent out multiple free desserts (those donut holes. omg!) for the table to enjoy. It was a really sweet touch to celebrate her birthday. Everybody enjoyed their food, and we ended up splitting quite a few of the appetizers and entrees. Entree sizes were more-than-enough for a meal, and most of the people who had ordered an appetizer were actually too stuffed to finish half of their entree when it arrived, so great portion sizes. No complaints about their drinks either. A few people ordered some weird concoctions or off-the-menu drinks (like a Moscow Mule), and they had no problem making those happen. The bartenders looked very busy on a Saturday night, but they still did a great job on our drinks. (For large tables like these, they make individual checks and track those checks based on your seat, so swapping seats is a no-go here!) Plus, they have a Saturday happy hour! How often does that happen? It was packed, though, and we were unable to even get a seat at the bar and resorted to standing. Clean bathrooms, good food, nice service, well-poured drinks, and a pretty atmosphere. They even have a cute-looking front patio (that, unfortunately, just overlooks the busy road in front of the business) for when the weather is nicer. About my only complaint is the number of high-top tables here. The high-top chairs aren't too uncomfortable, but if you're someone who has difficulty getting onto high-top chairs and tables, I'd recommend a reservation. Everytime I come to High Bank, I tend to be re-surprised at how nice the experience is. Its a casual distillery at heart but the food, dining experience, and cocktails are almost always a hit. I've been for dinners, brunch, happy hour and all have been good experiences. Service is always great, from the hosts to servers. I've called for reservations for larger parties and staff has always been great to interact with. Definitely one of the spots in Columbus that seems consistently great! read more

Street parking available if limited parking spaces are not available next to entrance - be prepared to walk a block or two. Happy hour, brunch, or regular dinner / lunch visits are all well worth the plan to stop into this great venue. The food is quite good and there is a nice selection - but what draws me to visit is the cocktail menu. Inventive, varied, and delicious - what every cocktail menu should be. The starters are sized for sharing - and all delicious. I am still not over crispy brussels sprouts and will say "yes, yes, yes" to sharing a plate of nachos anytime - these are no exception. We rounded out our choices above with adding a salad, not ideal for sharing - but the salads here are tasty and worth the logistics. Happy Hour is my favorite menu - with nice discounts on the sharing menu and cocktail specials - but brunch is a very close runner-up, with the dinner / lunch menu a solid choice as well. Really, this is a great space with great food and drinks - the only thing you need to do is find an excuse to schedule. Tips: 1. Make a reservation. 2. Don't skip the food - the cocktail menu is excellent, but the food is on par and is a sound decision. 3. We visited on a busy Friday at 630pm. Parking is a premium in their smallish lot and neighborhood streets. We were lucky. I have tasted their Whiskey War and maybe their gin. Both are tasty. When someone suggested dinner, we jumped at the chance. You can look at the menu in other posts but we found it to be really good bar food. Nice spins on old faves served in an exciting industrial atmosphere. Nice service. Our server seemed to have too many tables but she was very personable. We visited High Bank for brunch on a Sunday with a large group. The menu is awesome, and several items sounded really good. I ordered a brunchwrap supreme and it was absolutely delicious. However, we were pretty disappointed in the beverages. A few of us ordered hot coffee. They brought them out in glass mugs (weird for coffee), and the color was so light that it was transparent and looked like green tea. We questioned our waitress when she brought them out but she reassured us it was coffee. I've never in my life had coffee so translucent. It also tasted like crap. I'm guessing whoever made the pot of coffee forgot to replace the coffee grounds so it ran over the old batch of grounds, perhaps even twice given the color. We had to send them back and re-ordered nitro cold brew coffees. But the cold brews also weren't very good, and tasted pretty watered down. I think we just had a bad experience with the beverages, but the food is definitely worth coming back for. read more
