Ate here in winter 2025. I ignored a not great Google review score because it was close to the highway. My son had one of the burritos. It was large, looked good, and tasted good. I had the enchiladas chipotle. It did not look good or taste good. Rather, it looked gross. The sauce was this sort of orange brown color that resembled something unpleasant. And the texture was off too, like maybe it had cream in it that split. And frankly, it tasted bad too. At the end of the meal, the waitress noticed I hadn't eaten it and took it off my bill. That was nice, but I do wish she'd checked on us at least once during the meal so I could have maybe ordered something else. So this place is a pass for me. The good & the bad...hmmmm The good: 1. They cleared the table we wanted quickly 2. Food came out hot and flavorful. The bad: 1. We ordered us sangria, a jack and Coke and two waters. When our server returned, she delivered my sangria, two waters and a Pepsi. But we ordered a jack and Coke. 2. we ordered guacamole and queso for an appetizer; they never arrived. 3. I'm not sure our server spoke much English, she seemed confused at times. I seriously loved this restaurant in the past! They have a really nice outside area, I love sitting out there and drinking sangria or cocktails with my friends. Lately the service has been lacking, very disappointing. We ordered to-go since we were just passing through. They messed up several items. We ordered chicken and steak fajitas but it had no steak. When asked about it they insisted that they had put steak in. They forgot to put in the tortillas as well. The quesadilla we ordered had no cheese, maybe that's a regional thing? Not sure but i have never had a quesadilla with no cheese. And it was a to go order but we didn't get utensils. Overall not a good experience. Perhaps it's better if you eat-in. read more

I had the Enchiladas La Paz. (Enchiladas with shrimp and crab) It was very tasty, although I feel it did not have much crab in it. The salsa that comes with their chips is pretty mid. I really would love to rate this place higher because many of the items here are good (some are not worth your money buying) but there are a few consistent issues we seem to experience from here that keeps me from rating them higher. First, the customer service is so inconsistent. One day someone who speaks English takes your order and another day they have some shy girl who works there and doesn't speak much English try and take orders. She doesn't understand nuances like "hold the onions" or "add extra cilantro." To her it's all the same. I really wish they would stop that and just put someone at the desk who can communicate with guests properly. Second, they are inconsistent in their hours. Some days you go and the kitchen is still taking orders and other days you show up and the door is locked two hours before the stated 10pm close time. This is very frustrating when you plan on picking up food and don't know whether they'll be open or not. What really makes us frustrated is that the doors will be locked at 8pm but the parking lot's jam packed and the restaurant's filled with people. They do this a lot on Taco Tuesday nights. Third, sometimes the tacos for Taco Tuesday are served in a corn tortilla and sometimes in a flour tortilla. There's no consistency. Sometimes they give you a double corn tortilla and sometimes it's a single tortilla. You never know which way it's going to be. Sometimes you are charged extra for cheese and lettuce or cilantro and onion and sometimes it's free. It all just really depends on who's ringing up your order... If they could iron out these kinks I'd consider giving more stars but I won't count on it. read more

Came to MD for the weekend to see friends who just moved there. We were looking for a good Mexican restaurant and landed at Los Amigos...so glad we did! Judith was our waiter & did a great job. The margaritas were good, chips were fresh & salsa was - I'm not sure because I always get the extra hot homemade which was excellent. Our group got fish tacos, shrimp cocktail, 3 street tacos & enchilada chipotle. The shrimp cocktail had "shrimp in every bite" and everyone enjoyed their meal. Our friends said they would be back. Yay for new restaurants in Hagerstown! Their (free) salsa is actually fantastic-- more tomato and less watery than what you often get elsewhere. We ordered spinach and mushroom enchiladas and a bean taco. Let me start by saying thank you so much for having vegetable options on your menu besides just beans and cheese! Both the spinach and mushroom options were fresh and turned out fantastic, although I would love to see an option that combines the two together. The bean taco was good too, although not as interesting. Lunch specials are a great deal, often served with beans and/or rice (both of which are delicious). The staff was very attentive, checking on us to see how we enjoyed our meal several times. Definitely worth a stop by! read more

Just left here and had a poor experience with a hostess. I requested a table & she was like we're really busy and the food is not coming out fast so you'll be waiting. I was like that's ok because you have to wait for food at any restaurant. She kept telling me that they were busy even tho I said we were ok with waiting. I asked her did she not want us to eat there or something... because she kept saying how busy they were instead of taking us to a table... I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened. I have always been very happy with their food. I really wanted a chicken chimichanga which I have had numerous times before at this restaurant. To my surprise this time they looked like Taquitos. I wanted the enclosed chimichanga with the tender chicken. This time it was not enclosed and of course the chicken was dry and crisp when it came out. I asked the waitress if it was the House special chimichangas that I ordered and she said yes. I told her I was accustomed to the enclosed chimichanga where the meat stays tender. She said that is only available in the seafood or fajita deluxe chimichanga which she would be happy to switch out for me. I didn't want seafood and I didn't want a steak and chicken combination, I was just really looking forward to a simple chicken chimichanga that wasn't dry. And of course I will never ever send anything back, I have seen way too many movies of what could be done if you send your food back and I don't want to chance it. I will go back again to this restaurant but I will never order the House Special Chimichanga's again. There is plenty of other good Mexican restaurants in Hagerstown that I can get the chimichanga that I want and not taquito looking chimichanga's. The taquitos that I was served tasted fine but I was just really looking forward to a simple chicken chimichanga so I left unsatisfied. The margarita did help get me through my disappointment.
