On my most recent adventure to this place, I found myself closing a great night out. I was reflecting, and just wanted some downtime to practice gratitude. That, I got. In fact, so much so I felt like the bartender wanted me to leave. I was a pretty easy ticket - Crispy Calamari and a Lightswitch Lager. After I ordered, I really never saw her again. She was much more interested in talking to the other staff member behind the bar, and drinking out of a Starbucks cup that most absolutely had beer in it. I know that is a pretty big charge to levy, but if it wasn't just visible to my naked eye, it was also suspicious that her coworker companion picked both her Starbucks cup and his Chicken Express Cup up every time a manager came by. The calamari was great, and the Light Switch was delicious and light, as always. BJ's, and this location as well as the Arlington Highland's one is always great, but just keep in mind that your bartender may only be as present and as graceful as how many Venti Brews she has had. read more

I don't want to give a bad review during these times so I gave an extra star just because they are open and the girl on the phone was very nice. I appreciate the fact that they are open for take out. However, just be aware that they are having to pre cook all of their food well in advance and refrigerate it to go, so it is not being made to order, which I understand, now that I know. However, the food was pretty ewww for whatever reason. luckily, it was only 6 dollars an entree so I can't be that upset. Just wanted everyone to know that you will not be taking home hot entrees, and it is all to be heated up in the microwave when you get home and the taste was just fair at best. Every time I go here, I look at the menu and think OMG how will I ever choose? Everything sounds amazing and the pictures look so yummy! So, meet two girlfriends for lunch and off we go! Took two bites of the MCPT and asked my friend to try it because it just didn't taste right. I asked if it was funky or if I just wasn't in the mood....she said it was ok, so I decided I must not have been in the mood for them. Waitress came back and asked if something was wrong - I said nope, just didn't taste right, didn't hit the spot, etc. She ended up talking w/the manager and getting the whole charge removed! I pulled her aside and said she did NOT have to do that because clearly it was just MY palate that didn't agree and she said 'it didn't taste right to you, I can conclude it wasn't made right'....great customer service. My one friend got the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, minus the Alfredo, and called it a winner. Other friend ordered the lunch special of Southern Fried Chicken, with a house salad. Salad good, chicken good but chewy. We split a pazookie.....1/2 chocolate chip and 1/2 white chocolate macadamia nut ($3 on tues, woohoo) and it was awesome - topped with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream - just the right size for 3 people! Overall, the service by Cheryl W (our stellar waitress) was outstanding. She was polite, fun, attentive and professional. Could not have asked for a better service experience. Food-wise, it was very much a B- maybe C+ = maybe too many items on the menu to do any/all of them very well? I ordered over the phone for curbside pickup - 2 large Buffalo chicken pizzas at the discounted half off price because of the promotion they're running. I got there, gave my credit card, and they charged me the full price! I'm glad I checked the receipt as if I had not, then they would've gotten away with it. They charge a different price then they're supposed to. Very fraudulent and wasted 15 minutes in trying to sort this out. In that time, my pizza became cold as well. read more

The service is great but the food was terrible. Looking at the menu/pictures/pricing online, I had much higher expectations. Everything we had was bland. The queso was gelatinous, the calamari was rubbery and fishy and the soggy breading was falling off, and the salad was limp and slimy. The chili was slightly better in that it had some flavor, but it was meh at best. The only reason I gave any stars was because the service was good and the quality of food is certainly not our sweet servers fault. I didn't even order a cocktail because I didn't have much faith that my $15 cocktail would be any better quality than the rest of the overpriced offerings we tried. I met up with one of my girlfriends here for dinner one night and I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was no wait! It was a Tuesday at 6:30pm, so I expected to see a bit of a crowd, but luckily we beat it instead. We both had hamburgers, which were veryyyy good! I had the avocado jalapeno burger which was great! I expected it to be a bit more spicy, and with more dressing, but it wasn't bad! Our waiter let me sample the pumpkin ale that just came out and it is SOOOO good!!! I would come just for that! Everything was great until we were walking out the door and my friend gracefully slipped on the floor. It literally looked like she was doing the splits in the middle of the restaurant and then I realized that she had fallen! She slipped on a water puddle with small pieces of food in it. I don't understand why someone wouldn't have been picked up/wiped up, but unfortunately it was there. Do not waste your time or money on this place. We went because they were open for dining room sitting during this covid 19 mess. We ordered a small BJ's special deep dish pizza a couple of beers, salads and appetizer dip. The beer and dip were good. However I have had better pizza at pizza hut sad to say. The pizza was pure theatre here is how. They brought it out in a deep dish metal pan holding it with pliers and a hot pad I thought immediately yummy but there was no aroma at all and no steam coming from it. Amazing curbside deals right now! Had half off a pizza and a free appetizer! Really enjoy their buffalo chicken and great white deep dish pizza. They were super understanding for curbside measures and even took my payment over the phone. The staff kept a 6ft distance and I really appreciated everyone wearing a mask that interacted with me. BJs and their pizzokie's are an amazing dessert! Love love love BJs! To make it worse this baby sitting next to me while I'm trying to enjoy an adult beverage is rubbing on my side. This is my seven year old's favorite restaurant. Has been since he was 4! He ask for it instead of Chuck E. Cheese on his birthday, so he may have my broke and boujee gene LOL. Food wise, it's a pizza and brewery... they do offer burgers, pastas, and American fare, and of course pazookies (classic choc chip or monkey bread for us) but the amount of love she showed for my newly christened family of five...she knew we were brand new in bringing the family out for dinner, she was so kind and patient as we navigated our way around adding a newborn to our dinner routine. This is the place to go during this pandemic! The staff is very friendly and understanding. I read a review about one of the hostesses being unfriendly but when we arrived and met the same hostess (Ariana), she was very kind and approachable. She helped my grandmother down the stairs and was very helpful to getting us seated quickly so that my grandma could relax. I used to work as a host when I was a teenager so I understand dinner rush can be busy and its hard to manage wait times and the seating chart but she did excellent. It was fairly busy but we didn't have to wait but maybe five/ten minutes. As for food, we found it delicious. I got the flatbread pepperoni pizza and my husband got mild buffalo wings. Both were delicious and filled us up quickly. My son got the chicken tenders and chowed down and my grandmother just ate off my plate LOL. During this pandemic, we have to be more friendly than ever to eachother and be a lot more caring. BJ's treated us just like that and we were very pleased with our dining experience. However, I've never taken the time to write a review for a corporate restaurant (and in fact, I'm not), I'm writing a review for the service we received from Kyle. My wife and I used to be servers, and we must have said to each other half a dozen times, "I don't remember the last time we've had service this good." We asked if there was a survey, because again, we know how important those things are for scheduling and such having been servers ourselves. I've been here about a dozen times and it's always on point. The atmosphere is nice, dark wood, cozy booths, good bar and spacious tables. I've never had a single complaint about service, everyone is always super attentive and knowledgeable. On this visit we had Ariel and she was lovely. Kept our drinks filled without us asking, checked on us, perfect service. This time we split a chicken pesto flatbread. Absolutely delicious. Super crispy crust, lots of artichokes, red peppers, cheese and goat cheese yum! The edges were really great, middle was a bit soggy but once reheated at home as leftovers in the oven, they crisped right up. I've also had salads, appetizers, sandwiches. All good. The only thing I ever ordered that I disliked was their clam chowder in a bread bowl. I don't know if it was just off that day, but after two bites I was done. I went here for lunch and it was pretty crowded we were seated after a couple of minutes which was great. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, the italian market tavern pizza, and the fish n chips. The fish wasn't greasy at all and was super crispy, as well as the fries. The pizza was a bit bigger than I expected, but it tastes great. We also ordered the oreo pizookie as a dessert. It was so delicious!
