We were told 15-20 minutes but it ended only being a 5 minute wait! We had Stephanie as our server and made sure the kids had their sodas refilled. The chicken sandwich came out delayed and the Manager, Jesus/Chewy preemptively came by and said he would comp it and also comped a pizookie. Talk about service and turning a situation around. That was very generous and we did not expect that so this place deserves all the stars for trying to make it right. Also the smores pizookie is sooooo good read more

We were really excited to come in for Pizookie Night at BJ's, but unfortunately our experience was overshadowed by the service we received from our server, Alex. From the beginning, he came across as uninterested and seemed to have an attitude while taking our orders. We felt like we were more of an inconvenience than guests. Throughout our time there, he rarely checked on our table, and after our orders were taken. We ended up relying on other staff members for assistance because he was largely absent. That said, I do want to recognize the rest of the team. The employees who greeted and seated us were welcoming and friendly, and the staff who helped us when we couldn't find our server were kind and accommodating. Their professionalism helped make the experience a little better. The highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the Pizookies. They arrived warm, fresh, and just as delicious as always. We hadn't been to BJ's in a while, and I forgot what a great option it is for larger groups. We celebrated Father's Day a few days after the actual holiday with a party of 8, including 2 kids. It's usually difficult finding restaurants that can comfortably accommodate a larger group while still being kid-friendly, but BJ's made it easy. The atmosphere was perfect for families, and it didn't break the bank despite the size of our party. The dads were very happy with their meals, and of course we all enjoyed the delicious Pizookies! I believe our server was Nick. He mentioned he's been there for over four years, and it definitely showed. He was knowledgeable about the menu, incredibly kind, patient with our large group, and very attentive throughout our visit. We initially had a different server, but after a shift change, Nick took over and made us feel extremely well taken care of. It was busy because the World Cup was on, but having all the games available made the experience even more fun. Overall, it was a great visit, and we plan to come back often. Thanks again! read more

Wish I could give half stars because in my mind this establishment is right at 3.5 stars. Ever since Yard House discontinued their late night happy hour special on food, my friends and I have been coming to BJ's. We've come here plenty of times to celebrate birthdays, to satisfy the munchies after our basketball runs, and just to hangout and catch up. What stands out at BJ's is the late night happy hour menu and pizookies. The restaurant is pretty large, but make sure to sit in the bar seating for the happy hour menu. The happy hour menu provides great value and gets the job done. It isn't the best tasting food, but it's pretty good overall. Our favorites are the sliders, mozzarella sticks, and avocado egg rolls. Recently, we had the $20 large signature BJ's Deep Dish Pizza (photo attached). Sad that the Great White got discontinued, but the Chicken Bacon Ranch is solid. Only thing is the pizza is super bready and dense, which makes it very filling. Free birthday pizookies are always a plus, and their limited time specials are nice too. Most recently, the biscoff pizookie was pretty amazing. The downside of BJ's is the service can be super varied. Sometimes our server is attentive, refilling our waters, making sure we get our check, and a lot of times we are completely ignored and waiting long periods of time for requests like extra napkins or ranch and to get the check to close out our night. I do understand that later at night it can be a bit understaffed, but waiting 20-30 minutes to get the check is a long time especially when it's been a long night. I'll definitely be coming back because the value that is provided is pretty amazing and it is the place to hang out with the boys when we can. read more

I just had to update my review because we came in today just to try the one day dine in only April Fool's pepperoni pizookie with Mike's hot honey. We sat at the bar and Anthony was our server. He's super friendly and we really enjoyed sitting with him. We enjoyed the $13 pizookie meal deal which is definitely a great deal and we ended our meal with the special pepperoni pizookie for just $4.01. To our surprise, the pepperoni and hot honey actually tasted really good with the chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream. If you haven't tried the strawberry shortcake, you need to, as it is topped with strawberries, whipped cream, and their delicious vanilla ice cream. The pizookies are pretty large, and you can easily share one with two to three people! Service: The waiters are kind and professional, and they serve your items pretty quickly, despite the usual high volume. This chain has really gone downhill fast huh? Idk if it's just this location but man the service was god awful. It took like 10 or 15 minutes to even be acknowledged at the bar area. Everyone from the staff, servers or bartenders are just not trained on providing service or hospitality. Some are much worst than others but the vibe is bad. It's sad tbh. The food also just doesn't hit the same as before. I've been here twice and it's just always dirty and filthy. They do no put in any effort in keeping it clean or decent. Also, we asked for the check, and it took over 15 minutes to get it. Very disappointed. I can see why it's popular cus it's fairly cheap. This is probably my favorite chain pizza. I love a totally loaded Chicago-style pizza and the one at BJ's is great. Some pizza, when you get everything on it, ends up soggy. But not at BJ's. I believe they also have a thin crust available, but I've never tried it because I love Chicago-style. They also have a pretty full menu of other food ranging from burgers to salad and pasta. Pizza at my place! BJ's has the goat pizza deal on Mondays. $20 for a large, love it! I paid extra to put 17 extra toppings on my pizza, nice! Pickup experience was smooth, I was in and out super quick. This place gets pretty busy during lunch so plan accordingly! I've been coming here for years, but it's been a while. Their prices seems to have increased. However, ever, they do have a good happy hour. And I wanted to watch the big championship game, so the perfect place to go. I came early to get a seat at the bar so that worked out since it did get crowded. The TVs do seem to be on the older side. At least a big one in the middle of the bar, it was blurry. I thought it was my eyesight at first. The other side TVs do help and are more clear. We got the happy hour special and there's a few decent choices to pick from. It's definitely a smaller list now though of what is offered. But you can still get a personal pizza for seven dollars. Not bad. I was actually able to find a couple of drinks that I liked as well. I'm very picky about my alcohol, and I usually pass. But I enjoyed the Berry cider. Definitely would come back again. This BJs is fast. You can get on the wait line by calling in, then you can check in once you're there. We were seated, placed/got our order, and paid the bill in ~20 min. I've only really gotten the pizookie here and it's delicious! Recently we came and got the Dubai chocolate pizookie and it was the perfect amount of sweet imo. The base was a brownie cookie and it has ice cream, chocolate, kataiffi, and pistachio spread on top. I wish they added some chopped pistachios and more of the pistachio cream. My friends and I been a monthly customers here since they opened Yes there have been times when my experiences have been meh, but most of the time, my friends and I have had a great time once we got through the crowded and dark parking lot and hectic check in. It's a family friendly place, and there will be sports teams birthday celebrations, and during Dodger Games, Olympics, Soccer, etc. it can get pretty loud. My favorite items are their beer flights - you can choose your own from a big list. Lots of other alcohol, limited tea and coffee, and a mixed drinks. Food selection is huge, and even vegetarians can find some limited items. There are lots of apps, several chicken, steaks and ribs, though my favorite items are the pizzas and prime rib sandwiches. I often order food I can take home that I don't finish. The prime rib sandwich ($20) comes with fries (though you can upgrade to other sides) au jus, creamy horseradish, and coleslaw. The coleslaw is sometimes room temperature - I wish it was cold. I also enjoy their salads, particularly the Asian Chicken but I was shocked to find out how many calories there are. Salmon ($28) is also a favorite and you can get asparagus instead of broccoli as a side. They have great deals, a southern friend chicken breast with mashed potatoes is a favorite, I think was $13. Some other $13 meals include the individual pizza and salad with a mini pizzookie and ice cream. One of the other pizzookie specials is a burger with fries. Take your time reading the menu if you're not a regular. It's pages and pages long. Sometimes the servers are stretched too thin, and sometimes your wait times can be insane and uncomfortable. Their men's bathroom is always wet on the floor. Also I personally don't like sitting by the rear of the restaurant and patio which is tool cold for me so I always bring a sweatshirt. The tables for two are too crowded if you order a lot of stuff. It is crowded most nights, even Thursdays and Sundays. They must be doing something right with a constant flow of mostly smiling customers. read more

We stopped in to have a drink and a snack. BJ's is huge, and it was still full! The host team was able to get us a table pretty quick. Once we got seated it took a while to put in our order. I think the server was stretched a little thin. The cider I was hoping to get apparently has been out for a while, but it was still on the menu. I tried a backup, and it was alright. I normally visit the location is Orange, and never had a bad experience. we were by Irvine so we decided to try this BJs location I came with my partner, and I recommended to him we try bjs... BIG MISTAKE! Beginning with the hostess they were either tired or in a really bad mood, they were rude when we requested a booth they advised us it would be 10-15 minutes so we sat at the bar in the mean time.. over 25 minutes passed so I walked over to check in with the host, she was in a bad mood she told me to sit back down and they would text us when the table was ready... we finally got sat... the table was filthy, so we asked our server Luis D to wipe it down for us... Luis came back to ask for our order for apps I ordered the Poki they had on the menu.. I specified very clearly to Luis that I have a very severe allergy to wasabi, so he went to ask the kitchen his manager and another server "three different people" and according to Luis and his manager on shift said it was okay to eat and safe for me with a wasabi allergy... we received the poki, and it had wasabi my partner had to spit out the food and rush to the restroom to rinse his mouth making sure he didn't eat any of it... we called the manager over, and when he checked in on us he said he didn't know anything about the wasabi, he only knew something about the avocado... which my partner specifically said he had a wasabi allergy.. he didn't know anything Luis had said so at that point they were all lying to us and they don't understand the importance of a food allergy that really wasn't only a huge problem but made me not believe what the staff and manager were doing they clearly don't know what I'm allergic means and need to be retrained and educated on this matter ... Luis even said they had no wasabi in the restaurant. Any ways ... over all ... is just sad to see the "hospitality industry " getting worst every day, having employees in all levels like manager, server , hostess ... feeling entitled to take for granted customers... The only time seeing the hostess smiling was when they were taking and watching a cell phone with coworkers... and the only time I saw the manager and server caring about an allergy was when we were upset ... After our last experience, we decided to give BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse another shot tonight, and I'm glad we did. The service this time around was really good. Oscar and the rest of the staff were top-notch and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. Our pizza came out perfectly and my wife's pasta was also really good. Honestly, I think our previous visit was just a fluke experience because I've always enjoyed coming to BJ's over the years. Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and was met with an unhelpful and rude hostess. She kept claiming that my friends weren't there, and nobody of the names of my friend came, even if they were just a walk in. Turns out, they were there, in the patio. Besides that, the server we had for our table was absolutely amazing! She was super cool, and made the overall vibe super fun. Our table split a few apps and got a few mains. We had BJ's lunch catering today. There were two different kinds of salad, lasagna, tortellini, beef meatballs, and eggplant spaghetti, and a whole lot of garlic toast. Lasagna was good but not cheesy enough to be lasagna. Only one layer of cheese on the top, the center layers were made of some kind of cream, I think. One nice thing is, it has plenty of ground beef in between the layers, which was nice. Most places would just do it with very little meat in the center. Both, the tortellini and beef meatballs were decent. The eggplant spaghetti was very good. I'm trying to watch my carbs intake so did not eat any garlic bread. I had some of the salad with the black olives with balsamic and that was good. We arrived on a Saturday evening at 11:07pm but we only wanted dessert. As we entered, there was a hostess and a host who already off the bat made us feel uncomfortable. As soon as they saw us enter, though she greeted us, they both started laughing at what seemed like an inside joke about us but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. They sat us in a super tight booth for the five of us. Again, it was an hour to closing so we were grateful to be seated anywhere. However, the seats were dirty. As I scooted into the booth, my hands landed on sticky substances. The host saw and heard me looking for the napkin to wipe it off and he just stood there waiting for us to be seated. He didn't offer any help or any extra napkins. The waitress we got was actually wonderful. She was the only good part of our evening. Super kind and friendly! We ordered the large pazookie for the five of us to share. Our order didn't come until 11:45pm. The entire tray was rock hard! These cookies were so crunchy and hard to remove from the tray. Pazookies are supposed to be soft and warm. It was far from it. Kind of disappointed from our experience here. But Im giving 2 stars for our waitress! read more

Went in last night at around 10 pm and just went up to the high tops to grab something quick to eat. Well it wasn't that quick because I was sitting there for a whole 20 minutes without any server coming up to me. So it would've been a 2 star review if it wasn't for one of the food runners (Samantha) who saw me sitting there and asked if I had been helped and I told her no. To my surprise she ended up taking the initiative to take care of me and help me out through my whole dining experience. Now I'm not sure if she's also a server and that's why she did so well but she honestly provided me with the best fast, attentive, and caring service I've had ever since I started coming here regularly back in February hope to see her working regularly as server so she can give other guests the same amazing service and experience I had. read more

We had their deep dish hot honey pizza that just came out and it was amazing as a hot honey lover. I was also very impressed with the wings. They were crunchy, yet tender and juicy with the right amount of lemon pepper flavoring. The chicken parm was also pretty tasty. I don't usually come here for the food, but I love indulging in a pizookie when I want a treat! Out of all the flavors I tried, the strawberry shortcake is still my favorite. I wish they added more fresh strawberries to contrast the sweetness, but it was still delicious. I also tried the seasonal s'mores pizookie, which had a great texture due to the toasted marshmallows. They have $5 pizookies on Tuesday, but I honestly would avoid coming on a Tuesday night, as it was very crowded. This was especially true in the summer, when there is a younger crowd. We had a very disappointing experience at BJ's in Tustin. I came here with a friend and our kids, and while the kids' pizza came out great, the pizza for the adults was clearly undercooked--you could still see unmelted shredded cheese. When we brought it to our server's attention, she immediately became defensive and argumentative instead of trying to resolve the issue. From the start, the server's behavior felt awkward and uncomfortable. The interaction just didn't feel right the entire time. She even tried to push dessert on us despite everything already going wrong, and to make matters worse, I was charged for my child's drink even though it's supposed to be included with the kids meal. We ended up flagging down another server to get help. The manager came over and was polite, understanding, and apologetic. He personally made sure we got a new pizza, which did come out fully cooked and tasted good. However, what really hurt the experience was that the original server came back to our table afterward. At that point, it was already clear we were uncomfortable, and having her return just made things worse. We even had another negative interaction with her again. It would have made far more sense to switch servers entirely. While the manager was kind, the situation wasn't fully resolved. No effort was made to correct the service experience beyond replacing the food--something as simple as assigning a different server or offering a small gesture like a dessert would have gone a long way. Overall, the food ended up being fine, but the service completely ruined the experience. We've had better visits here before, which makes this one especially disappointing. read more

we got 3 pazookies on pazooki tuesday. our group had a reservation at 10:45, and we're seated pretty quick. after ordering, we waited for 32 minutes to get our waters. the pazookies came before our waters arrived. staff seemed extremely inattentive as the restaurant was pretty empty then. the pazookies that we ordered were the cookies n cream, dubai chocolate, and strawberry. to say the dubai chocolate was below our expectations is being too nice. there were 5 drizzles of the pistachio cream and at that point if they were running low on ingredients, they should've just said it's out of stock. yea the bar is nonexistent i would say. we waited another 20 min to pay and the waitress lost our credit card at some point. i am pretty disappointed with our service and also with the food that night. overall, would not recommend... read more

I ate here this past Friday for lunch around noon. It was very busy. I had my usual $13 combo: Unlimited Soup & Salad with a pizookie. I ordered the chili & wedge salad. I also had the tomato mozarella salad. My friend had her usual $13 combo: mini pizza & garden salad. Instead of the mini pizookie, I upgraded to the specialty pizookie: Butterfinger since my friend & I wanted to try it. My friend loved the Butterfinger pizookie. I don't think it was worth $6 extra.
