My friends and I went on Friday, July 10, at around 8-9. We were greeted with the most nicest and gorgeous hostess; after checking us in she complimented us and called us beautiful. So nice!!!! She was a dark-skinned woman with curly hair. Our server was also nice, the food was just okay. When we were leaving, I asked her for some mint chocolate, and she was so helpful and gave us some. came to olive garden for the first time in a long time. originally we came for the bottomless pasta but then we realized that was only available late summer to early fall. that was a bummer, but the entrees all come with bottomless pasta and soup so there's a bright side to everything. i ordered the tour of italy and it was pretty good. it wasn't anything mind blowing but there was a lot and i was happy and full. even had more than half to take home. overall very nice people and great service! read more

I've been coming to this olive garden since I was a kid. This location has been around for decades, and is still popular. Food - 6/10. The food is okay. The breadsticks are kinda hard, the portions are smaller, and it just doesn't feel as good of quality as it has in the past. The toscana soup is more watery than in the past. I had the salmon and it was good! I had the Siscilian Sunset drink and didn't end up finishing it; it just didn't have an enjoyable taste to it. Their old fashioned was good. A bit watered down, but good for $8. Service- 8/10. The service was good. Everyone was nice and helpful. Our waitress was nice and other employees came by to check in a few times. Environment- It was clean and not cramped. There is also lots of parking because it's in a center with other stores and restaurants. We had dinner at about 4pm. There was a group that was extremely loud and rowdy. They were yelling and screaming and running around the restaurant disturbing guests, but the staff said they couldn't do anything about it or say anything. It really ruined our experience at this restaurant. Honestly although we have been coming here for years, we're finally deciding to look elsewhere. I'd love to give a special thanks to Em for her wonderful service for me and my family tonight! We came in pretty late in the evening after a rough couple hours being turned away from other restaurants for having a nut allergy. Em was very knowledgeable of the menu items and assured us that we would be safe from cross-contamination. The environment was clean and tables were pretty packed for Mother's Day but it wasn't too loud. The lighting felt just right for us as well. We had three different pasta dishes each with a different sauce, and they were so delicious that we forgot to let the camera eat first. At the end of the night, Em gave my mom and sister a very sweet surprise! After the night we've had, with another restaurant nearly killing my sister by serving her nuts, it is very much appreciated! When I travel from Hawaii I do like to dine at an Olive Garden but I find the wait times way too long. On this trip to Irvine California my GF and I were picked up by her brother and his wife at about 5:30 PM, so we got to the restaurant before 6:00 so there was no waiting. The food at Olive Garden is not the best Italian food but it is pretty good and at a great price. The salad is tossed at the table and can be endlessly refilled. I opted for the minestrone and had a second bowl because it was pretty tasty. I had the 6 oz steak with fettuccine Alfredo. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and seasoned well. The fettuccine was actually better than the steak, loved this simple dish which had enough flavor to outshine my steak. My GF had some shrimp-pasta that was just OK when I sampled it, but lacked the flavor that my pasta had. The crowd was assembled to get seated as we were leaving, making dining early worth it. Ordered takeout so cannot comment on service or ambience. I did the buy one get one free deal and ordered the rigatoni alla vodka + fettuccine alfredo + chicken and gnocchi soup as my side + the desert pear limonata drink. Both pastas and the soup were really good, tasted standard but I don't expect anything else from Olive Garden. Aesthetic & Ambiance: 6.5/10 - The usual chain Olive Garden Aesthetic, of Tuscan, Italy meets America circa 2004. This one does get a bit busier due to location, and can be a bit messier due to the flux of a dinner rush. Service: 6/10 - Service was quick, got sat with a reservation, server greeted us and we practically used the iPad from there. Lasagna Fritta: 7/10 - Honestly a lot better than I thought. Each little pocket was stuffed with meat, cheese, and sauce, and fried nicely. With a layer of pasta sauce over it. Chicken & Gnocchi Soup: 4/10 - Honestly might've been a re-heat or sat in the pot all day, the gnocchi was practically disintegrated and the chicken was non-existent. The pieces of gnocchi I did find were pure mush. Endless Salad & Breadsticks: 7.5/10 - The staple Chicken Alfredo (swapped for fried) : 7/10 great swap for the fried chicken, it gave the dish a nice crunch, while adding some saltiness to the creaminess of the Alfredo. I have not been to an Olive Garden restaurant in many years. I cannot recall the last time I dined in. I came here with a couple of coworkers who felt like having pasta. Note they don't take reservations in advance, and your party shows up and you check in with the hostess and wait. While waiting, there was plenty of seating in the front lobby/bar area. The interior looked very cookie cutter and simple and reminded me of a plain industrial type of hotel quality, if that makes sense. Our server was quick and prompt. I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly enough to get us in and out during the lunch rush. He generously offered Parmesan cheese those who requested it. We were seated near a window, which was nice and the dining area appeared to be divided into different sections. I got the classic salad soup and breadsticks. I've always enjoyed the zuppa Toscana soup so I stuck with that and also noticed a different soup on the menu which was the gnocchi chicken soup. It was OK to try for my second bowl of soup. I'll stick to the zuppa Toscana next time. The salad and breadsticks and soup were just like I remembered. It filled me up for lunch and everyone else in my group was pleased with their meal. We came to Olive Garden and the food was okay, but the service felt rushed. He would walk and lightly call out you need anything without stopping at our table. I get it's busy, but we deserve your time. I asked about the menu and soups, but our server didn't take the time to explain anything. We ordered the Unlimited Pasta & unlimited meat for 4.99, but they forgot my protein the first round. My partner actually had to remind the server to bring it. Later, I tried the 5-Sauce Marinara with sausage -- it came out undercooked, I proceed to test a diff pasta with "more cooked sausage" . Jenni was incredible as my server , and Jose also came by and asked if I needed anything , and also offered a couple of great suggestions to try with my meal which was super nice of him!! Consistently good service and good food. We've been to this Olive Garden several times and we always walk away with our bellies full and feeling satisfied. It is usually busy on the weekends so we make it a point to go a little earlier. The place is usually very lively but the smaller side room provide a more quiet ambiance We were seated fairly quickly and David, our server, was friendly and very efficient in taking our orders and bringing out our food. He came by several times to check in on us. What was also nice was that Romeo, the manager also came by to make sure we were all satisfied with our dinner. We ordered the eggplant parmesan, ravioli and rigatoni with creamy mushroom sauce. Everything was cooked well, the pasta nice and chewy. Olive Garden always has specials. I recently went here for the endless pasta bowl. It was a lot of fun and a pretty good deal for the amount of food. On a normal priced day I wouldn't say the value is there. The spicy meat sauce was really good. I liked it with the chicken and Italian sausage. I wasn't the biggest fan of the meatballs. It is Olive Garden, so it is expected. The service was outstanding. The waitress remembered who at our table liked cheese and who didn't. She gave us some tips and always came to check on us. The restaurant is separated into rooms, which makes it not too loud. Came here on a Tuesday evening with some friends for the never ending pasta bowl deal. We were seated upon arrival where our server was super friendly. We placed our first order of pasta right away, and the soup/salad came out quickly after. My favorite here is their zuppa toscana soup, it's so rich in flavor. Only complaint is they intentionally add too many potatoes to try to fill you up on carbs. For the pastas, their spicy meat sauce is a must try, the sauce is so rich and flavorful. Bomb! This is the Olive Garden in Irvine. It was pretty empty when we went. Sweet! No wait at all. The service was great. Seriously, the minute we needed a refill on something- they were on it. IMO Olive Garden is always consistent and one of my favorite lunch spots. I tend to hit the HB and SA locations at home or office. I decided to venture over to the Irvine location as its about the same distance to SA from my office. All three are great options. Great service, clean environment, friendly and attentive staff and the food is always great. Best lunch deals available for a table service lunch. HB and Irvine both have great parking thats easy to get in and out of. I always leave full and happy. read more

olive garden is great if you know you're not getting authentic italian but a good american experience. i appreciate low grade american pasta and know that it's different from the authentic italian places but can still be a good experience in itself i love that olive garden offers unlimited soup/ salad and breadsticks with an entree. the never ending dipping sauce for $5.99 is very worth it to dip the breadsticks eggplant parmigiana was ok, the soggy eggplant with breadcrumbs and cheese didn't impress me. i wouldn't get again. fettuccine alfredo was definitely the winner. we got it with chicken and broccoli and it was delicious! creamy alfredo with large chicken pieces drinks are overly sweet and not strong but good price of $7 overall, olive garden is great if you know what you're getting. it's not the place for true italian but the unlimited sides is the reason i crave olive garden read more

i try to mediate my expectations at olive garden. my mindset is usually something like, im here to eat a lot of meh italian food. and meh italian food can still be pretty good. but the last time i came here (maybe three weeks ago by now), everything was just... too salty. i got the chicken parm with the fagioli soup. i also tried a bit of the ziti and that was also too salty. my peach bellini was the only thing regulating it, thank goodness. i want to still love olive garden but this experience was just a big let-down. i dont know if ill be back in a long while, especially since i recently started making a bunch of spaghetti to temporarily stave off my cravings. well at least now i know how easy it is to mess it up! read more

I can count the number of gluten free items that OG offers on one hand so why is it one of my favorite places? Because the staff genuinely takes my allergy seriously and that peace of mind is growing increasingly rare when dining out! We stopped in for a late lunch and were greeted by several smiling faces. Romeo brought us to our table with a beautiful view (truly set the ambiance for us heheh)! Ben was our waiter and was quick, attentive and friendly throughout our entire meal. We obviously had the salad (amazing as usual) and I ordered the gluten free rotini with marinara (a fav!). OG goes always goes above and beyond to have a manager verify allergens at the table and the chef even came out to check on things! The pasta was perfect but I missed the mints :( do we not get mints anymore?? lol I do have to agree with another review that the wireless payment things on the table could use a good wipe a few times a week since they were questionable from all the greasy fingers.
