I hate leaving negative reviews, but I have to be honest about my experience. I ordered takeout for my daughter and me, and for nearly $80 (plus a $10 tip), I expected much better. I ordered the fried shrimp with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I even paid extra to add garlic butter to my mashed potatoes, but it wasn't included. The mashed potatoes were dry, plain, and completely unseasoned, just a scoop of potatoes with no butter, salt, or flavor. The broccoli on both of our plates looked and tasted like it had simply been steamed and placed on the plate. There wasn't a hint of seasoning or the garlic butter that was supposed to come with it. My daughter ordered the steak with a baked potato and broccoli. She said the steak was actually pretty good, which was the only positive part of our meal. Unfortunately, the sides were just as bland and disappointing. To make matters worse, our takeout order didn't include any eating utensils. That's a basic detail that should never be overlooked, especially with a takeout order. I tried calling the restaurant to express my concerns, but no one answered the phone. For almost $80, plus a $10 tip, this meal was a huge disappointment. Missing items, bland food, and no utensils made this an experience I wouldn't expect from Black Angus. The food was good. I haven't been to Black Angus in years and was expecting a subpar experience. To my surprise, the steak was good and the appetizers were cooked to order. Good value for the cost and quality. The location has been here for a long time, so it is a little outdated and could use a renovation. It is very open and spacious with plenty of seating, and the booths give an intimate dining experience, which is a plus. We had to send back glasses because they didn't seem freshly washed. It also took a long time for drinks to come, one alcoholic and the rest non-alcoholic. The server didn't check on us during the first half of the experience. Service needs improvement. The manager seemed pleasant and courteous when assisting our table. Overall, it was a fair experience, but the location needs renovation and better service training. read more

I was stuffed after my meal and I still had leftovers for the next day! For the appetizer, the surf and turf quesadilla is definitely the best to get your money's worth, but I also enjoyed the crispy zucchini. The New York strip was juicy and cooked to my liking, and my favorite sides are the broccoli and au gratin potatoes. While the house salad side had a generous portion, the I could not use it he honey mustard dressing, as it was almost all honey and way too sweet. For the dessert, the carrot cake was delicious, much better than the fudge cake which is supposedly their more popular one. We are frequent customers of Black Angus. The food is consistently good and we appreciate their many promotions. We also take advantage of the Angus Rewards program. Recently we had dinner in the bar area and were served by Kristina. She was very attentive and gave impeccable service, despite the restaurant being very busy for the World Cup game. I tried Black Angus Steakhouse for the first time on a Friday evening and it wasn't too busy. The hostess who greeted us was polite and helpful, and we were quickly seated in a comfortable booth. We decided right away to try the Campfire Dinner for Two, which includes an appetizer, entree, sides, and dessert. We went with the ribeye steak, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, salad, steak soup, and finished with a warm cookie topped with ice cream. Our server, Huy, was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food itself was a bit underwhelming. The ribeye was just okay even with the added roasted garlic and herb butter (extra $2.49), the seasoning felt uneven and the flavor slightly off. The potato skins arrived at room temperature and were somewhat mushy, which was disappointing. Our dessert also took longer than expected but it was very tasty. On the positive side, the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were both very tasty and and great sides with the meal. Consider getting the rewards app as we were able to save $20 on our bill by using it. Still, considering the overall quality of the food for the price, I think there are better dinner options. read more

The food was ok- my husband and I agree it was fine- not the best we've ever had at a steakhouse, but not the worst either. Solidly in the middle. I ordered a drink that came in a rocks glass and I have to say that it was pretty tiny. At least they don't overcharge for their liquor like some other places I've been to. Overall, our meal was perfectly acceptable, and the service was polite and fairly attentive. Food didn't take overly long to arrive. That all being said, we don't like eating at places that charge a fee to use a card, (this one is 3%) so we are not compelled to return anytime soon. Too many other places that serve steak in the area that don't do that. read more

We had a 6:30 reservation for a party of six and were seated right on time. Our waitress, Kristina, took our drink orders and mentioned their new app, along with a 3% fee added if paying by card. Unfortunately, there's no nearby ATM, so paying cash isn't really an option. The menu has changed quite a bit, and while she tried to explain it, the explanation got a little long and somewhat confusing . Drinks came out quickly, and we placed our order. Bread and appetizers followed in a reasonable time. After that... the wait began. We ended up waiting about 52 minutes for our entrees. During that time, we were offered drink refills and told the food was almost ready, but it definitely dragged. The steaks were good, but not amazing--just okay. The sides were pretty underwhelming too. I had fries, and they were soft and kind of mushy. Desserts were included with our meal, so we asked for them to go. The cookie we ordered takes about 10 minutes to cook, which was fine--I expected the check to come during that time, but it didn't. Dessert arrived, then we waited another 15 minutes for the check, and then additional time to get my card back. All in, we spent about two hours there, most of it waiting. We likely won't return to this location since we don't live nearby, especially considering we've had much faster service at other Black Angus locations. read more

The families waiting were upset as they had been waiting too. Again restaurant is empty on a Friday night. Finally all parties were seated. There was no apology for the wait. If the restaurant was busy that would have been a different story. But the restaurant had been open since 11am so? Black Angus has closed many locations. With this type of management, I can see why. We had Kristina as our server and she was amazing, came in on a Sunday evening on a whim and fortunately it was not too busy. There's usually some type of promotion going on that could potentially provide free upgrade or to some combination items, so I recommend either checking the website for possible savings (or coupons in the mail?). It's also very spacious which makes it ideal for people with families to visit. The bread is always nice and fresh tasting, with a crunchy exterior and plenty of butter. The wagon wheel sampler is plenty for a party of 2-4 people to share, and the ribeye steaks are also quite good. I really appreciated that Kristina checked to see how our meal was going and explained everything in sufficient detail, so that we understood the current seasonal specials as well as any changes to the menu. Rodent infestation! Huge rat was running on beams in the dining area while my family was present. Management was aware and so is health department and they continue to stay open serving guest. Reported this to management,director of relations and health department. we are traumatized from this incident. Beyond sickened. This location is well maintained and staff are all friendly and helpful. The restaurant is open and airy throughout, with slightly cozier seating in the main dining hall. The rustic barn decor is festive and fits with the steakhouse theme. Kassie, our server, was so sweet and attentive! Our food came out hot and delicious. Kassie brought us several hot loaves of oat crusted brown bread and butter while we waited. We ordered the campfire feast for two and enjoyed crisp loaded potato skins, perfectly cooked steak, tasty sides and a warm melty cookie dessert topped with vanilla ice cream. It happened to be Cowboy Day apparently so they had $5 drink specials going on, which we took advantage of. I upgraded to a ribeye for $6 more and my partner got the New York strip. Both steaks were cooked a bit more than we asked for, but it was fine since I usually order more rare than I actually want at places like this. Ordered a steak Cobb salad with no bacon. I received a Cobb salad with bacon and no steak. I called the restaurant to see what they could do about it. The manager proceeds to tell me that if I wanted steak, I had to add it even though the description on DoorDash includes steak. He searched for the description and I'm not even sure where he was looking because he doubled down that the salad is called a steakhouse salad but that I had to add steak if I wanted steak.
