Kill me now

Came here for a pit stop before some fun for our son nearby. Octoberfest at some point tonight here. Most tables reserved too early in advance and taking up too much empty space. ONE bartender for this ridiculous line. Had one beer after a 10 min wait in line and luckily my wife ordered a flat bread that was delicious for our son. I wanted a second beer on this Friday night but that was quickly shut down by this joke of a line. Second visit to this type of franchise but would not make it a third after this horribly planned event.

This was a place I really wanted to give five stars. I'll still keep it close, but just a couple things may keep me from getting there. First, the ambiance is awesome for the most part. From the decorations throughout, to their clearly themed beer names, to the wooden triforce beer flight case, it was a really cool ambiance. The experience ordering the food and drinks (wait in line and order both at the bar) was good. Person who took our order was very patient with our questions and special requests. The food itself was also pretty good. Got a flatbread pizza that was really tasty. Wife got a salad with pulled pork and soft tacos. I don't remember the meats but they came with a huge portion. Beers were pretty good as well. The only issues we had were that the inside was REALLY loud. We were fortunately able to find outside seating and the weather was cooperative. Other issue was that the lady who brought out the food was kind of cranky. She had a flatbread pizza and I didn't know if it was for us (I thought she had called for my order number). I asked and she told me it wasn't but acted like I was an a-hole for asking. The pizza did come out quickly. The only problem was my wife had to wait an extra 10 or 15 minutes for her food, and basically had to watch me eat before it got cold. Would still recommend giving the place a try if you're in the area - especially if you're a gamer.

Smash burger! Delicious!

This is such a great place. They have lots of seating options, indoors, shared seating and a side room. Great drink options, lots of taps, great beers and seltzers. They have tvs and show sports games, they also have tons of games for you to play. Great decor and really nice service! Sometimes they have live music! Plus the food was great!

Super expensive diet soda! Bring your family and pay top dollar.

We went to gamecraft about an hour after it opened. It was a little crowded and they were already out burger patties. Unfortunately, we didn't find this out until after we ordered them. Not sure how this happened so fast after opening. The staff was kind enough to come over to our table and let us know and provide us some different entree options. The real big kicker here is that it's $6 for a diet Coke. To me, that is simply unacceptable. Nearly the same price as a draft beer? That's ridiculous. I will not be coming back here and I don't recommend you do either. There's lots of great breweries in the area that you can visit.

I've been meaning to come here for awhile and finally got the chance. We came on a day where they had game night and it was pretty fun. There were a bunch of people participating in the trivia questions. There was a range of age group from younger to older. We ordered the food at the front and they gave us a number to take with us so that the server could locate us. The nachos could have used more cheese and the serrano peppers were spicy! Almost too spicy. The fried wontons were okay, it wasn't what I was expecting but it was edible. When I go next time, I think I'll try the chicken wings, smashburger, or a flatbread. There seemed to be enough parking in the front of the building and in the back.

Loved this place! The vibe was great, seeing all the fellow nerds playing cards and having tournaments it was where I felt most at home! I tried the naughty dawg, if you like dark beers you will love this one! Had me feeling real good at the end of the night so be careful! lol Service was like no other having the owners serving you is so Rad! They will ask about what kind of beers you are into and will give you some testers to try out! They are happy to serve you and had a smiles all around! Really great place to bring someone on a date or hangout with friends and play board games while having good food and great beer!

We made a planned pit stop here on our way back up from SD for a beer and quick bite. Happily we came on an afternoon with a show and hosted trivia, unexpected happy surprise! Ted our awesome beer tender was the cherry on top! Knowledgeable, friendly, and nice! The food options are pretty legit too, so make this your planned pit stop for a good time and good vibes!

Such a fun spot to be at! Great themed beers and food. We entered in the trivia for the first time and turned out to be really fun with a wide variety of people there. They also had some of the college games on the tvs, and board games are available for those who didn't want to be in the trivia. Over great brewery to come and spend some time at.

Pretzel bites with marinara

Very cute and unique bar. The space is huuuge so great for large groups. We went for a trivia night (reservation required) and there were quite a few people there, but everyone had their own assigned table which was nice. They'e starting to do more pop culture related trivia like a Harry Potter and SpongeBob trivia event, so definitely stop by and give them a try. As for the food, I had the pretzel bites, spinach and cheese empanadas, and vegetable egg rolls. I would say the pretzel bites were my favorite and the marina sauce is yummy. The empanadas and egg rolls were okay, but nothing special.

This is a casual brewery, large size with plenty of seats including outdoor searing. They even have games to play. The service is amazing, everyone was helpful and kind. Got an appetizer platter which has egg rolls, wontons and pretzel balls. Wontons we're great. I recommmend doom juice double IPA.

The ambiance depends on the day and time you're there. I was there with my partner, and his colleagues on a Saturday, July 1st to be specific at around 4:30 ish and it was pretty mellow and relaxing. Once it was 6 p.m. it got busy and the ambiance became more lively and busy. The area is spacious and their female restroom was clean and glamorous with its circular bright light. I had the mango nectarine PSI blast (Sour - Berliner Weisse) on 3/5. We also had their fries 2.5/5. They have trivia nights on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and reservations are available but walk-ins are welcomed. Early arrival is recommended. Mad props to the guy at the cash register that took our orders since he handled the long lines calmly and effectively. The rest of the staff was nice and ensured to pick up the glasses etc and asked if we needed anything. They were attentive. I recommend it to all beer enthusiasts, especially if you have not checked it out.

I know that this is a popular brew pub, but it wasn't my cup of tea. Hubby & I went on a Friday night and it was crowded, busy and loud. It's certainly not GameCraft's fault that I'm old and don't enjoy that type of loud environment, but I can see how it'd be fun for the younger crowd, as they have lots of board games, trivia, live music, etc. They're located in the Laguna Hills Commerce Center with plenty of parking available. Basically you order at the cashier and they ring your buzzer when your order is ready. They have two fairly large rooms with tables, and I was thankful for that as the 2nd room was far less crowded and hubby & I could actually hear each other talk. I typically go for dark beers when I'm at a brew pub but unfortunately GameCraft did not have a wide selection of dark beers. In fact, I think there was only one, which is the one I got: "There Is No Cow Level", an Imperial-Style Coffee Milk Stout with 9.0% ABV. The price seemed rather high to me at $9.50 for a tulip glass. The good news is that the beer was very good, so no complaints there. The food was also surprisingly delicious. I don't usually expect much from a brew pub, but I ordered their Angus Super Cheeseburger Smash, which comes with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles, Bot Sauce & Cheese for $11. I also added Tater Bots for $3. Everything was very tasty and the prices were reasonable.

I took silverware off a table inside. No one ever came to get plates so our table was completely full and difficult to work around. No one was around to flag down to ask for plates to be removed. The service was so bad a man at the table next to me asked if I was using my fork and if he could have it because he also was unable to get someone's attention to get items needed.

Shoutout to Sam, who was very sweet, checked in on us, brought our orders out hot and fresh, and even gave us a small dessert at the end to celebrate an anniversary! We had the Dark Star Oatmeal Stout with our order of the brie fondue, corned beef reuben, and lamb burger. The brie fondue, to my surprise, was not 100% brie, but rather had a whipped and lighter texture. I thought the amount of bread/pears were enough, and we actually kept it to dip our sandwich/burger in. The presentation was beautiful and it was a great appetizer. The corned beef reuben was so good - the meat fell apart but wasn't fatty, the bread was toasted (one side was a bit too crispy but wasn't burnt which I'm fine with), and the fries were skinny and crispy. I only tried a bite of the lamb burger, but it was juicy and gamey. Yum! Price-wise it's a bit high for pub food, but it was still excellent. Left Coast has a great baseline--ample parking, versatile indoor/outdoor seating, a full bar, and a solid tap list including a great sour and seltzer. However, our Wednesday 3:00 PM visit fell short on basic execution. The indoor music volume was our first hurdle; the heavy, pounding bass was simply too loud for mid-afternoon, making it nearly impossible to talk. Despite the hot day, we opted for the patio, which had devolved into a frustrating maze of drifted tables and stray chairs left exactly where previous customers had abandoned them. An hour later, move back inside because the patio was apparently reserved for an event--disappointing, but understandable. The real letdown was the food and facilities. We ordered the brussel sprouts and brisket burnt ends (5 small pieces--$13). While brisket is naturally fatty, it requires proper kitchen prep. The soft fat cap should be trimmed to a uniform quarter-inch to render down, and the hard inner layer--the deckle--must be carved out entirely. Only the deckle could survive their "17 hour smoke", will never be anything other than an unappealing greasy blob, and should never be served. Finally, the women's bathroom was unacceptable. Walking in, I was smacked in the face with an overwhelming stench of urine. Again, brewery, not fancy--no problem. But for a three-stall bathroom to smell that severe just five hours into the business day points to a real lack of basic maintenance. Left Coast has so much going for it, and the menu looks incredibly promising. I'm not sure if this was just an understaffed day or an off afternoon, but resetting the furniture, cleaning the restrooms, and properly trimming the meat would easily make this a top-tier spot. I'll definitely return down the road to try a different dish and hope for a better experience.

Unfortunately, my experience yesterday was disappointing. We arrived at 5:10 PM, well within happy hour (3-6 PM). Because I had my dog with me, I requested patio seating. At the time, there were only a few occupied tables on the patio and several empty tables that simply needed to be bussed. I waited about 20 minutes before checking with the hostess again, only to be told the tables were waiting to be cleaned and that they were short-staffed. I completely understand staffing challenges, but what was frustrating was that during that time I never saw anyone attempt to clear or reset the patio tables, while guests continued to be seated inside. If staffing was truly the issue, management should have stepped in to help turn tables and support the team. After waiting a total of 27 minutes, we were finally seated. Unfortunately, our server was then given several tables at once and was clearly overwhelmed. This was not the server's fault--he was doing his best under the circumstances. However, because of the delay, we didn't even receive water until after 6:00 PM. My dog, as well as the rest of us, had been waiting quite a while by that point. Our beers arrived several minutes later, after happy hour had already ended. The food and drinks were good, and our server worked hard, but the overall experience was negatively impacted by what appeared to be poor staffing decisions and a lack of management support. A little more attention to table turnover and guest flow could have made a huge difference.

Solid option for casual dining, especially if you'd like to catch a game and grab a beer!…read more We came for dinner after a movie and it was an overall good experience, would come back! My boyfriend had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which was really good! The chicken was really tender and juicy. I'm not the biggest chicken sandwich fan and even I loved it!! I ordered the three taco plate, one shrimp, one fish, and one carne asada. The tacos were okay, not my favorite. Didn't love the presentation for the rice and beans either, the beans were poured over the scoop of rice and it was honestly a bit unappetizing to look at. Drinks were really good and there's tons of options for food. We would definitely come back, I'd love to try some other menu items as they have so many good looking options. Our server was great and I love the easy pay options with the tablet at the table. Good experience overall:)

From here, there are no favorites placed in order, other than my comments. DAVE is always interesting to talk with, if you can catch him. I think he's related to the gazelle, or they are related to him, but he is very funny, has a great sense of humor and is very affable. Geoff is 10 years my senior, but so wise, I think God calls on him for advice. Other David is also very affable, with the people who get time to know him. He's genuine, just like the rest. Matt has a very difficult time not running to the cooler to get me my favorite beer, Tiger's Milk, and have it ready to pay for by the time I yap at everybody else. He's a gracious gentleman, works way harder than I do, and sadly has been bequeathed with so much good hair, that it would be the only reason I don't go to Bevmo anymore. Nothing to do with him, it's my own professional jealousy. I see Tim constantly working hard and is a very fine soul... I do miss Angie and Dale... I used to want to apply for a job there at Bevmo Laguna Niguel, but maybe that's the secret. Maybe the reason they're so special is because they don't have to tolerate me being there every day...
