It was my first time visiting this BJ's location and I was incredibly pleased with the service! I came here to watch the March Madness basketball games. I initially expressed disinterest in the table one of the waiters assigned me, since the TV was awkwardly positioned in front of it. The employees prioritized my party to grab the next available table which was very considerate! Our waitress was also very accommodating. The food and drinks from the happy hour menu were delicious. Maybe it was an off night, but not a good experience. Firstly, I put my name on the waitlist and I was quoted 15-20 minutes, but we were not seated until 50 minutes! Then my party of 5 was led to a table for 4 people that did not allow room for anymore, and we had to ask the hostess to move us to a larger table. (we should not have had to ask). Why did they try and squeeze 5 of us into a smaller table for 4 when they knew how many people we had because I put it on the waitlist? We were not given any napkins/silverware, even after the food was delivered to the table. Lastly, we ordered the new Dubai chocolate martini and it tasted like there was zero alcohol in it, which is not right when you charge that much for a cocktail. The stars are for the Pizookies. We had an amazing server named Angie the last time we came here. She was really attentive and made sure that we got all of our food in a timely manner even though the kitchen was a bit backed up. She was especially helpful making sure our 4 year old got his food first and as quick as possible. This is a good place to watch sports. The lakers were on and you could see the game from like 5 different TVs from where we were sitting. The pizza is consistent here, what I would expect from any BJs chain. Their new Japanese inspired beer is a nice addition. I had the enlightened cherry smoked salmon and it was cooked just fine and tasted great. My husband had the Atlantic salmon that was also good, more savory than the cherry. We finished off with their new biscoff pizookie and yes it was so good my mouth is watering thinking about it. I brought a large group of people from work for an afternoon lunch. About eight of us in total. The wait on a Sunday afternoon was under ten minutes and we were sat outside promptly. They took drink orders down first and then food and lastly brought out dessert at the end of our meals. Pretty good selection in drinks and food. Came not too long ago to pick up pizza after ordering online. The whole family/group was very excited for pizza! Sadly, when I arrived, I was told that "the system was down" and that they had not received my order. I showed them emails and receipts and the staff was understanding. They submitted the order and got the food out as quickly as possible, but it still took significantly longer than planned. (As an aside, if an ordering system is down, you would think the software would have declined my purchase or informed me that things were down on the backend, right?) When my son wanted to go to BJs for his birthday, we looked around and were shocked to see that they had a location in the Irvine Marketplace. Turns out that they took over the old Buca di Beppo location. It's open, with large ceilings, and big. It really feels less crowded than you know it really is simply because sound is able to escape up to the ceiling and not bounce around giving the location an annoying hum of background conversations. Because we had a large party, we were seated out in the covered patio. Even though it was a patio, they had so many space heaters that it was actually warmer out there than in the main dining room. That was a shocker! However, it was raining quite substantially and we were first seated somewhere only to feel the drips from a leaky ceiling above us. Luckily we were able to move over to another table nearby without any problem. When the waitress saw that we had 3 small kids (7, 5, and 21 months), she brought them out small bowls of cut up fruit and bags of Goldfish to hold them over until we were able to order and get our food. We just combined it all in to one dish and let the kids snack away. It's little things like that that really show their attention to detail in their service. That saved us a lot of 'daddy, I'm starving! when is dinner getting here!' complaints. Food was on par with any other BJs locations. That is to say delicious and great portions. For the first time I ordered a non pizza and got their spicy chicken sandwich. It was a huge sandwich with a massive portion of fries. To the point where I couldn't even finish it all which so rarely happens to me when it comes to chicken sandwiches. It'll definitely be my go to when I'm not in a pizza mood. In all, it was a great meal. We felt well taken care of despite how busy they were and my son had a great time and enjoyed the free bday dessert. BJs never disappoints and I'm glad that this newer location doesn't break that rule. read more

Stopped by again for a Wednesday lunch to indulge in the $12 loaded burger deal that also comes with unlimited fries. Burger was sizable and flavorful, patty is thick and cooked perfectly. Went to BJ's on memorial weekend, it was busy and they sat us in the patio. The patio was very outdated and dirty!!! They didn't even do a good job cleaning the place, spider web on the wall light and the picture frame was very unpleasant to see while dining. The weirdest part was we were talking to him kindly. Sometimes he would wait on other tables and not even acknowledge us like we didn't exist. I came specifically for the weekly $13 meal plus Pizookie deal, and I had to give it a try! I already loved their pizza but the changes they made were perfect and this is one of the BEST PIZZAS IN ORANGE COUNTY, by far! The crust is the perfectly buttery and crispy, the thick layer of cheese gets that perfect cheese pull without being too much and you can taste hints of garlic, basil and oregano in the tomato sauce. It is seriously packed full of flavor and each bite was soft but crispy and made me want more. Also ordered the Shrimp Scampi! WOW, those huge juicy shrimp and the garlic butter sauce already have me craving them again! And got the slow roasted sirloin and half rack of baby back ribs. Like fall off the bone, melt in your mouth delicious, cooked to a perfect medium rare, with great flavors. The service was fantastic. When I went up to the counter, I was told there was going to be a 25-30 minute wait. I said that was fine since I had the intent on walking to Target to grab something. After I was picking up my item, they texted the table was ready. I understand that the time varies and is an estimate, but I ran over to BJ's within 3 minutes but this couple got in like before me and took so long to put their name in. Because of that, I lost my place in line and they gave it up. It isn't the workers fault since it automatically does it on the POS system, but BJ's needs to change it since it happened to another party right after us. They either need to let us check in with someone else or increase the grace period time. I almost lost it again after I got back on the waitlist because the line got long, and ended up just walking up to the woman next to the person who seats you. We were contemplating if we should leave or not but since we had already waited for so long, we decided to stay. When she came over finally, she was rude and seemed annoyed everytime we had asked for something. Everytime we needed to request more food, she was standing in front of the same table for 10-15 minutes, just talking away which delayed her service to other tables as well. We had Kera as our server. From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in good hands. She was available for anything and everything and even if we waved her down by just raising a hand or even yelling her name, she made sure to let us know, regardless of how we called, she would be there in less than a moment. She was so funny and pleasant to be around. Both our table full of twenty-something's and the table next to us with two young kids, she adapted and made us all feel welcome. The restaurant was packed to the brim and yet we all got perfect service the entire time. If you look at the photos, it's all just empty plates, Kera made it a priority to get all of our food out so we got it at the same time and everything was still perfectly hot to dig in and chow down. I went on a weekday for lunch. It was starting to get a little busy during this time but nothing too crazy. I went with one of my friends who is non-vegetarian while I am a vegetarian. I was a little worried because bjs does not have too many vegetarian options but I was able to get the pizza and split it so one side was of her choice and the other was of my choice. I really like this option since it gives you more autonomy! The pizza was very good. We of course had to get a pizzokie! The host lead us to a very small table. Had only 3 chairs, so probably meant for 3 persons or less. I questioned if it can fit 4 people and the host brought a chair from else where to fit it in.
