Ok so covid isn't quite over but having said that, BJ's gets a meh. It's a shame too, because they're obviously working with good fundamentals. Theres just no sense of urgency. The service, though friendly, is painfully slow, although the place was barely half full. And nothing came to the table hot. Just warm warm warm baby. We had brussel sprouts and cheese curds for our appetizers, the brussels sprouts were roasted very well very crispy yet still juicy and bursting with flavor loved thw sauce they drizzled on top reminded me of the bang bang sauce you find at applebees or bonefish grille. The waiter didnt bring us small plates of extra For our entree we ordered a deep dish pizza with cheese on one half and on the other I tried it with pineapples and artichoke hearts. The artichoke hearts were horribs so I took them off and enjoyed the cheese with pineapples. I really enjoyed the flavor within the crust and it was delicately cooked to provide crusted edges and soft fluffy top without it becoming soggy with the toppings. I didnt have time to order the pizookie, so the next day I ordered the pizookie trio, shrimp tacos and lo had kids burgers w/apple juice(which got left behind) for delivery (totally not my forte but was having a craving) I ordered the oreo cookie one, salted caramel one and the monkey bread. The monkey bread was dry and hard and not much flavor I tried to spruce it up with the caramel from the other one, the caramel one had too many things going in with it for me to appreciate it but the flavors were definitely there. My favorite was the oreo cookie one nice and simple and perfectly paired with the oreo whip and ice cream. The shrimp tacos was pretty good, my pita was slightly charred for too long it was a burnt taste to some area of the pita but I love the idea of the pita as bread instead of regular tortilla wraps. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Service was quick, server was laid back and knowledgeable and food was hot. Ordered the buffalo wings for starters and the BJ'S fav deep dish pizza. They run a half off pie special on mondays on select sizes. Wings were hot and cooked slightly hard which is preferable to my palate. Traditional buffalo sauce was as expected. 3.5/5 on the wings. No complaints. Pizza was also 3.5/5. The cheese and toppings were of good quality but the good size meatballs lacked any flavor. The crust was amazing.. We will definately return for other menu offerings but overall a solid lunch experience on half off pie mondays. read more

BJ's is cool if you want a drink and a few small plates. Not necessarily the place you should come to expecting top notch food and quality dining. The food 3 stars, the customer service is more like 4 stars. When we arrived they were ready and prepared; took no time for them to come around and get our orders. The one lady waiter was holding it down, she was very attentive and courteous. We were able to enjoy happy hour prices on our drinks due to a server giving us incorrect info over the phone a week prior; Happy Hour is from 3 to 6 then it stops and picks up later that night from 10 until. The server told us 3 to 10pm, so the manager Jared was kind enough to honor what we were originally told. This is a good place to come back to watch a game, drop into quickly. They have quite a few vegetarian selections and a lite calorie menu as well. We sampled the avocado rolls (spring rolls) served hot with a soy dipping sauce. I had the chicken lemon thyme dish with mash potatoes; sounded and looked better than it tasted, by sole reason of the seasoning and sauces being average. The chicken wings weren't bad; fried hard and crispy, drizzled with buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. My HH special lemon drops were decent. Not a bad choice for a casual group after work. It was cool, I can say for our first PG UYE this was a pretty good choice-a common meeting ground with affordable drinks and food prices. I'd definately stick with happy hour. read more

Sometimes, I think people have Maestro's Steakhouse expectations at places that have much lower price points. Get real, and know it is what it is. BJ's is not going to deliver world-class gourmet food, but it will deliver tasty cheap American fare and good drinks. If you're coming here expecting anything other than a step above TGI Fridays, you and your wallet should head North on 295 in search of something a little more "high-class". Because I know who and what BJ's is, I feel comfortable delivering a 4-star review. I've never personally had bad service here, and I've always left satisfied with what I ordered: be it a burger, a ribeye, tacos, wings or pizza - it's all good in the hood of Laurel for me. I wanted to wait until I made a few visits before writing a review for this place, mostly because i thought maybe they were just having a bad day.. I guess I was wrong! Each time I went the same problem presented itself, the service was extremely lacking! The wait staff would barely check on us and would frequently forget things. Once I went with a large group and the waitress took everyones order except mine and walked away from the table.. she was flagged down and brought back to only realize she knew she skipped me. The first time I went my dinner guest had to get up, go find the waitress and bring her back to our table to take our orders! The only reason I have returned is because the drinks are decent! As far as the food its been a real hit or miss.. The deep dish pizzas are good and ive had a few appetizers that ive enjoyed (the sliders are my favorite) but sometimes ive been disappointed with the food. Came here last night for my birthday with my bestie after leaving another restaurant with horrible customer service... but not at BJ's!! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted. The atmosphere was positive, and the staff is friendly. Our waitress, CiCi, was extremely nice and personable. She was knowledgeable of the menu and was able to answer questions I had about a couple of menu items I was considering to order. I ordered avocado egg rolls and seared ahi tuna salad. Everything was delicious and served hot. The highlight was my birthday dessert, the pizookie... yum!! The kitchen NEEDS to step their game up. We ordered the ahi poke appetizer, 2 small Caesar salads, & a tomato soup.... Simple stuff, shouldn't be hard to make at all. Well the avocado that came w/ the ahi poke was completely brown & bad. I am not the type to leave a bad review for any organization but BJ's in Laurel deserves this 1 star. The service was the worst I've ever received. My server Aiden took 15 minutes to greet me. After ordering the appetizer it took 35 minutes before I get it. When I received my fries after 35 minutes they were cold. I asked for napkins and I never received any and it seems like he realized I paid my check online because he never came to check to see if I needed a bag for my togo food. I would recommend giving these servers better hospitality training because every minute of the guest experience matters even after the check is paid. read more

Came here on a Wednesday and they have this burger deal with unlimited fries all day. So I definitely enjoyed that. Food was great! Beers were a tad bit on the expensive side but they have so much beer (and other drinks) to choose from. Definitely come here if they have a happy hour special or if you want to try different beers. read more

Bottom Line: Better than most chain restaurants with a decent beer selection. Located in the Towne Center at Laurel. I'm really not a fan of chain restaurants but I never mind a trip to places like BJ's or Cheesecake Factory because I generally find that the staff is a little more refined, the food is better quality and the drink options are plentiful. Here is my take on the Laurel BJ's: - The menu at BJs weighs about three pounds and is as long and varied as that as the Cheesecake Factory's. Having said that, the nice thing about BJs is there is something on the menu for everyone. Although BJ's is known for their pizza, my favorite dish is the Parmesan crusted chicken with blanched brocolli and cheddar mashed potatoes. - As should be expected when you have "Brewhouse" in the name, BJs offers a great selection of drought craft beer and their house beer is decent as well. Their beer menu is nicely displayed on the wall in three sections: craft beer, BJ's house brew, and local craft beer. I'm not one for girly-fruity drinks but on a hot summer day I actually do like their BJ's Berry Burst cider. It doesn't taste much like a cider to me but rather a carbonated fruit drink, but not too thick, sweet or heavy. - This BJs isn't as large as other locations I've been too but that is ok with me since less people means less noise. The open air concept here and lots of hard surfaces can make for a noisy experience but during off-peak times the restaurant is quite comfortable. read more

BJs Brewhouse you were a HUGE disappointment tonight. I am an avid BJs Brewhouse fan and in there constantly at least every couple of weeks here in laurel. HOWEVER, tonight was a different type of night. I watched 6 tables turn over twice, get their apps and entrees as well as drink refills before I could even put in an entree order! We got drinks quick by a different runner, then waited 20-30 mins for nachos, had to ask for silverware and then ask for plates. After the nachos came out? Our waiter NEVER spoke to us again or checked on us or took out order for dinner. We had to flag down a manager and a buss boy. Meanwhile, all the tables around us got serviced and refills. What did I do wrong?! Was it my race? Was it that out of all the tables our table the waiter just didn't want to deal with? After I talked to the manager to order desert to go, the manager was dumbfounded and didn't know what to say. They wanted nothing but the check from us. The waiter never apologized etc. don't know what me and my partner did but I'll only be visiting BJs Brewhouse in the day apparently. Smh.... read more

As a BJ's resturant fan this location needs some serious training and fast. I've come into this location twice this month and after the last visit we will be putting a pause in our visits. Once we arrived and checked in we were quoted a short wait about ten minutes. We grabbed a drink at the bar and waited. Up until this point everything was going well. After being seated our interaction with staff was few and frustrating. While trying to order with our sever it was clear that he was not paying attention. We had a group of five people and had one person order to make things easier-oh so we thought. We had to keep reminding the server of everything. I'm not sure if the tablet wasn't working or what but it became increasingly more frustrating. After we received our appetizers we placed two pizza orders. One came back correct and one did not. We sent the incorrect pizza back and continued to wait. A waitress (who wasn't ours) stopped by our table and told me that sending the pizza back was a bad idea and that by the time it comes out it wouldn't have been worth it. She informed us that the kitchen was busy and we weren't helping. First of all- who are you and why are you making me feel bad about sending a pizza I'm paying for back? Our server then brought the wrong pizza back out- the pizza at that point was sitting in the kitchen for 15 minutes yet he told me it just came out. I explained the whole thing to the sever and he took the pizza back. By the time we got the pizza it was still wrong. When it came time to order dessert we had the same issue. The server only took down 2/3 items and we had to ask for the 3rd. At the end of the visit our total came to just shy of $150. I was pretty shocked to see that despite the pizza being wrong twice it wasn't discounted. I ended up emailing Bj's resturant via the website but never heard anything back. Clearly this location has an issue with customer service and Moving forward we will be spending time elsewhere for dinner. read more

This was an unexpected A+!!! I went with no preconceived notions and I honestly didn't expect much, but I ended up having a really great happy hour. The waitress was awesome. I let her know that I didn't eat red meat or pork and she immediately recommended the turkey burger which wasn't even on the menu. That's a great recommendation and it was the best, most succulent, flavorful turkey burger of my life!! Let's just say they took turkey burger to a new height for me and I'll be back for more. I went in late for wine on Tuesday. Tuesday's they have a 1/2 off wine and pizookie special. The hostess was welcoming and the server was very helpful. The place was pretty much empty but they still made sure to practice covid safety procedures. We enjoyed our wine that was recommended and the overall experience at BJs. I have had food at bjs previous to this review but it wasn't memorable, the drinks are always good though. read more

Lunch was great. I got the baked ziti and my person got spaghetti and meatballs. He said the meatballs had too much filler in them. My ziti was great. Also had a sparkling sangria. Ordered a sampler appetizer. Which included chicken avocado rolls, boneless wings, mozzarella sticks and artichoke dip with house made chips, which was the star of the platter. The rolls were a little spicy for me but still tasty. We will return. Oh and Michael was our waiter, no complaints. Nice and attentive. The negative 1 star was for the meatballs. read more

American food with a bar and multiple TVs in a slightly upscale environment. Whenever we come into town, we always have a mini family reunion with my aunts, uncles, and cousins at this restaurant. They are very accommodating with setting up a big table and taking reservations. The absolute worst restaurant service I have ever experienced, we didn't see a server for 30 minutes, the beer was warm and skunky, the food was cold the service was painfully slow. We walked out after over 90 minutes and had only received one round of drinks and terrible appetizers. Do not recommend will go out of my way to tell people never to come here. Had my husbands 40th birthday celebration here last night as a private party in a side section of the restaurant. Mikayla and Cameron were our servers and WOW! They assisted immensely in helping set up the balloons and tables. They were extremely kind and caring and understanding. They kept the food coming and handled a party of about 45-50 people with such grace. Even before the party the managers I spoke to were very helpful and accommodating. This turned out way better than I'd expected and am so thankful that I chose to have his party here. For this event alone, I will be back to BJs more often than I had before. All of my family and friends were impressed as well and mentioned coming back soon. Oh! And the food was hot and tasted reeeeally good! 1000/10 would recommend. Can't say it enough. read more

Alrighty, I'm on a mission to leave honest ratings on all these restaurants in MD. Let's start off chronologically. Walked into the restaurant, no one was manning the hostess desks. Upon a quick look around I made eye contact with what appeared to be 3 waitresses and the hostess roughly 15 feet away, chatting in a semi circle. 2 minutes later a manager walked up and asked if we'd been greeted. I said no not yet, we waved to the woman I assumed to be the hostess (Christie? I think) who rumbled over muttering something under her breath, grabbed two menus and waved at us to follow. Once we got to the table she seemed to remember she was supposed to greet us or something because she then spewed a very scripted "welcome to BJ's tap and brew house, your waiter will be here in a minute". So we sit down, waiter shows up pretty quickly (1-2 minutes). Put in our drinks and then food orders. Ordered a burger medium rare. Food shows up 27 minutes later, cold. Burger and fries were cold to touch, immediately cut open the burger, inside was luke warm and cooked to well, bottom bun was soaked through. So, I think the food was prepared properly then sat for about 15 minutes waiting to go out. Consequently, over cooked and cold. Bun was also not toasted to speak of, top was hard with a stale feeling, rest of the bun was cold and completely soft with no grill (or otherwise) markings. Okay so I begrudgingly begin eating the cold fries, and a manager actually notices I'm not eating the burger and came by to ask if everything was okay. So points for homie being observant, he was the only one lol. Anyway we finish our food, and then sat and waited for the waiter to show back up for 36 minutes (after we finished eating). Asked for the check, started pulling out my wallet as he walked up with it and he still just dropped it on the table and walked away. 10 minutes later he came by and picked it up, we payed and left. I'll mention the ambiance as a passing note, it was about 4 PM when we got there, and it was LOUD. Music was loud, there were people getting rowdy and shouting at a group table around the corner, and then as we left someone started using a a mic to give a speech. All in all none of this bugged me, but the food and service was a big ol RIP. read more

Considering it's a restaurant with restaurant/bar food in Laurel and it's cheap, it's good. Definitely a go-to. Compared to restaurants of similar prices it's one of the top ones.
