I recently visited the Cheddar's in Edmond and ordered the chicken pot pie. Overall, the experience was decent, but there were a few things that kept it from being great. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly, but my drink order was incorrect, and some of the silverware at the table wasn't clean, which was disappointing. The chicken pot pie arrived hot with a nice, flaky crust and a generous portion, but the filling was a bit bland and could have used more seasoning to bring out the flavors. Overall, it wasn't a bad meal, but with a little more attention to detail on food seasoning and cleanliness, the experience would have been much better. I'd be willing to give this location another try and hope these issues were just an off day. read more

In town for the night and was excited about going to Cheddars because I love the food. We had a party of 8 and was seated pretty quick and orders were taken. I love a good monte cristo sandwich. What I don't love is a BURNT monte Cristo sandwich. The entire crust was burnt and the edible parts tasted like it was cooked in old oil. I didn't say anything. Came to cheddars on a Friday night closer to 9pm it was more in the packed side but not too loud, I was seated quickly . It took about five to ten minutes before our waiter came and brought us the croissants and we ordered drinks. After drinks and ordered things were moving very smoothly , Sebastian checked on us which was great. I got the 14oz ribeye with broccoli and mashed potatoes with a side of shrimp . Overall the food was really good especially the seasoning on the ribeye and shrimp, just would have liked 1 or 2 pieces more. read more

Went at lunch time and the place was busy, but there appeared to be enough staff to handle the crowd. The service was the worse I have had at any sit down restaurant. The items were just dumped on the table . No one ever returned during the entire meal to check on us or did they not ask for refills on drinks, no nothing. The meal were wrong and I could never get anyone to correct the problem, one side dish was omitted but it was on the check, and one plate was missing a side item. We went at 10.05 at this location, almost place was empty, it took 10 minutes to waiter's to come to our table, name Anthony, we ordered drinks, I ordered Long Island tea, test line soda,Anthony reminded me three times that kitchen closed in 20 minutes , we ordered our food, we got over cooked fries, they were out of apple pie, we ordered pail killer drinks, came without honey and coconut on the rim, waiter said they are out of coconut, ordered croissant with honey butter. We got there at 8:30 and waited until 9:58 to get our food and when it came out, my ribeye was well done when I asked for medium rare our waiter never checked up on us. We never got any complementary croissants, even though we asked for them three times we told them we have a party of eight and they sat us in a booth that we could barely squeeze into also, it was extremely hot in there. We did the online check in from their website which I highly recommend. We arrived around 11:45 on a Sunday and they were busy. Large parties were waiting. We only had to maybe wait 5 minutes before we were seated. They put us in the bar area. The seating was very nice. I got the bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was cooked perfectly and the veggies were fresh. The fries were just warm but seasoned perfectly. Hubby got the smokehouse burger and fries. His had a sweet bbq sauce, bacon and caramelized onions. It was very good, but the onions were not caramelized much and some of those onions were tough like they used the first layer of the onion which should of been tossed or saved for a broth. His fries were just warm but seasoned well. Before they brought us our food we both received the croissant with honey butter and they were light and delicious. From the time we walked in the door it was a great experience! The waitstaff was quick to seat us. Once we were seated the manager Terry came over and took great care of us until our waiter showed up. Terry and his staff did an amazing job taking care of needs. Things came out hot and fresh and originally on time. Mishap with the sides to our order. Weird that the manager Navy came out to retrieve the side dishes that were on the plate by mistake. Fries and green beans when we originally had ordered loaded baked potato and broccoli cheese casserole. Also weird. I go to bar on my way to bathroom to see what's on draft. Told my server I wanted the hazy IPA. She comes back to let me know they only have Bud light and blue Moon on tap.... Crazy thing is they have 4 tap handles... But only 2 beers on draft... I have worked in the industry previously... When we were out we removed tap handles and educated all staff of the being out. I guess I just wasn't ready for the experience. Having been to this Cheddar's multiple times... I have yet to have a normal and mistake free visit. I didn't know how else to share the amazing job Tay did. This was my first time dining at this restaurant and things went smoothly from the start. I did visit at the lunch time rush but we were seated right away. Our server DeeDee was quick to our table to take our drink orders. She started us out with croissants - they were just okay. If I were to make a recommendation it would be to add a small side of honey butter. I'm typically not a beverage drinker other than water but the Raspberry Lemonade really appealed to me. Once the drinks were delivered we opted for an appetizer and I chose the Cheddar's Trio Sampler. This consisted of four chicken tenders, Santa Fe Spinach dip, and salsa with house fried tortilla chips. We wanted to add the ground beef to the queso for free but our server said they didn't have it to add. I found that to be odd since they have it advertised for free on their menu. There were several options that caught my attention but I eventually opted for the Monte Cristo. It's been quite some time since I had that sandwich and the thought of that with the raspberry jelly definitely made me happy. It came with fries - which I usually select to have them well done. My wife & daughter choose the Classic Burger w/Fries which came out like just like they wanted them to! Overall it was a great meal and were pleasantly happy. One young man had long hair hanging in his face and he was unshaven. Nice young man, but hair should be pulled back from his face. Carrots were shriveled up and not as good as other locations. This was the worst experience I've had in recent memory. In fact, I can't recall when I've been more disappointed. We went Saturday, June 15th at 1130am. We were seated and I noticed something on the table. It might have been cheese or something else but regardless the table was dirty, at least in one spot. The hostess kept placing our menus on the table and said she would bring me a napkin. And that's literally what she did. There was no apology, no let me get your table wiped down, nothing. She didn't care. We were seated in a booth near the kitchen. I could hear a manager talking very loudly to the staff about the portion size of something. He said it was a scoop and they were putting out portions that were too large. I don't care to know this information. Keep your voice down whoever you are. The waiter was a tall young man wearing a mask. Yes, I remember his name but I'm not going to put it here. I don't know if he was sick or didn't want to be there but he was rude, short, impatient, impolite and made snide comments. He wins the award for the worst waiter I've ever experienced. If I hadn't been there with my father and his wife I would've called for the manager, explained the situation and left. My father got meatloaf. The first dish was burned to a crisp. The replacement was better but it's not meatloaf. It's a smoky hamburger patty. Call it hamburger steak but don't sell it as meatloaf. We had to ask for dipping sauce three times before it appeared. I had the Key West shrimp and chicken. I have no idea how it gets this name. I thought it would have lime as a prominent ingredient and flavor but nope, that wasn't the case. The shrimp were delivered with the tail on so I got to handle hot and sauced shrimp before I could eat them. Why wasn't the tail removed? Warm croissant rolls were delivered to the table. They looked delicious but somehow the flavor had been removed. They were flaky and light and airy but had no taste. I don't even know how this is possible. I can't recommend this restaurant and can't imagine any scenario that gets me back through the door. read more

I ordered to-go. It took about 35 minutes for the food to come out. The ribeye was cold and not seasoned properly. I'm assuming it was cold because it was probably just sitting. Red beans and rice (chefs kiss). The croissant was probably one of my favorites in the world. The bar could've been a little bit cleaner than what it was. It was very sticky. Came here as we were hungry after seeing a movie. The small preteen human loved the aquarium in the entrance. Dining area was clean, and we came at an off peak hour, so we were seated quickly. Whitney was pleasant and took our order quickly. We both ordered a sirloin, with different sides. I had a baked potato and baby carrots and the small preteen human had French fries and mashed potatoes. Steaks were tasty for a non-steak house. Nothing to get excited about, but nothing to complain about either. Baby carrots were tasty, and well seasoned. Baked potato looked (and tasted) like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a bit. Preteen ate the French fries, but didn't like the mashed potatoes. She loves mashed potatoes, so I tasted them myself, and agreed with her. They were clearly scooped with a #4 scoop, as they still had the shape of a ball, and were dry with not much flavor. Maybe it too had been sitting under a heat lamp or had been on the line too long. The "highlight" of the meal was the language at the hostess stand that is really reserved for the back of the house, not the front. Even got the attention of the small human. Really wasn't appreciated. I'm not naive, but there is a time and place for such language, and again, should be reserved for back of house banter, not the front, even during off peak hours. read more

First time here. It's nice enough. But my first impression is mixed. The place looks nice it kind of looks like an old Bombay Bicycle Club restaurant minus the bikes and elephants. (Slow moving *fans* etc) I ordered a ribeye steak with broccoli casserole and Southern green beans. They had a temporary T-Bone that was 50 cents more than two more ounces but I couldn't get anybody to give me any feedback on either of the steaks. The same with the wine and I asked for a sample of the whole two cabernetes that they have and they don't do that I think they're the only restaurant in Oklahoma that doesn't do that Period I chose the Bonanza one rather than the Mondavi one and It was not full-bodied It tasted pretty weak That there was no recourse Once you order something you're stuck with it. My server was nice but I don't think she knows the nuances of really satisfying their customer. I ordered coffee also and she never offered me a refill I had to ask. She's really sweet and everything but being a server myself in the past I know what it takes to really make sure everybody is super happy. I'm not blaming her but things could have been better. Like I asked for some of the garlic butter that they put on the T-bone that is a temporary thing and so she got to the kitchen to ask for it and they gave me a ball of butter rather than melted and she explained that but I think they should have melted it give me the full experience. There just isn't attention to detail. She did come back and ask me if the steak was to my liking and it was really good it was just the way I ordered it read more

The ribs were pretty good. They said they made their own ranch. It was good. My dad liked his fish. The carrots were good but I've had them better at other times/cheddar locations. The food was hot but nothing exceptional. We had just been in Branson and ate at Chedders there and it was Great. I ate there 2 times in 2 days and was looking forward to continuing the experience in OKC. The pork chops were over cooked and tasted of being cooked in old and burned oil. Fried shrimp and chicken fried steak were ok. Red rice and beans looked disgusting but tasted fair. Service was slow. The main dining room appeared to be mostly empty when we were seated in the bar and completely empty when we left. Only one bartender to wait on those of us eating. There weren't more than 12 customers while we were there. It seemed that the kitchen was slow preparing the food. My first visit to Cheddar's, which is fairly new to the OKC area. Restaurant was clean and stylish. We only waited about 10 minutes at 7pm on a Friday, so that's a plus. Our server, Maddie, told us she was new but I wouldn't have known by her service. She was excellent! On top of everything and even kept us informed while we waited for our bar drink so we'd know she hadn't forgotten. 4 stars for Maddie!! The food was good! We started with the cheese bites, which were perfectly golden and just the right amount of crispy and soft. We wanted a frozen cocktail but their machine was down. That's ok, we had it on the rocks and still enjoyed it! I had steak & shrimp with baked potato and the salad, and hubby had dry ribs & shrimp with mashed potatoes and a salad. Steak and ribs were perfect. No sauce needed. Shrimp were big and crunchy and the batter was different but we liked it. Salads were good- more than just lettuce & tomatoes. My only complaint was the baked potato. It was undercooked to the point where I couldn't even really stir it enough to melt my cheese fully. But honestly, I don't think I've gotten one anywhere (outside of a bbq joint) in the last few years that wasn't undercooked, so I'm not even really holding that against them. Normally, I like this Cheddar's. It's an easy, relatively inexpensive place for my wife and I to go on date nights. However, our recent trip was not good. We ordered the Monte Cristo to split, which is normal for us. Our waitress was friendly and prompt, but the food was not good. The sandwich was overcooked, burned on one side. The fries were soggy and seemed like they had been under a lamp for a while. We took leftovers home, but I suspect they will wind up being thrown out. We will give them another try, but if the food does not improve, we may be finished with them. read more

Ordered a Monte Cristo. It came. Fries were stone cold . They were cooked earlier and a heat lamp after about 15 minutes what ever you put there goes south. The Monte Cristo was way over cooked. Had burned edges and spots that were dark brown. This tells me when it floated they didn't get it out of the frier for several more minutes and it over cooked and burned. Inside flavor was very good but the outside was nasty. I asked for our wait person from the Bus staff. It was at least 5 minutes before she showed up. Told them to take my Monte Cristo back and bring me a cheese burger with fresh fries. They did bring me fresh fries and a nice hot burger with the top of the bun burned. LOL, I don't know. I love the honey butter croissants. The food I've eaten there is delicious and well-prepared. The downside is when they have specials, they don't pull the menu with the special listed on it when they stop serving that special. Case in point: this spring and early summer, they had an herbed chicken that was low carb, perfect for my diabetic companion who could then also enjoy 1 honey butter croissant. None of the other entrees were low enough carb for them to enjoy both the entree and a honey butter croissant, so we've been several times for the herbed chicken. We went recently again, hoping the herbed chicken was still on the menu - and it was! So my companion dosed enough insulin to have the herbed chicken entree and a honey butter croissant. But after we ordered, the server returned to say they were out of the herbed chicken, then came back to say the herbed chicken was permanently off the menu. We'd already eaten the honey butter croissants so my companion couldn't order any other entree without seriously messing up their blood sugar. I offered to pay for the croissants as we'd eaten them (and enjoyed them), but the server left to ask some stuff. WHen he returned he said the croissants were free, not to worry about it. He apologized for the fact that the herbed chicken was still on the menu when it was no longer offered. He was very kind. Super kudos to him, not his fault. This is totally on the managment of the Cheddar's we went to, for not making sure their menus reflected what they actually served. It also taught us the lesson to make sure what we order is actually available before indulging in the high carb pre-meal offering. This will mean we might get to eat there instead of having to apologize and leave because the meal would exceed dietary restrictions. Now, I don't have any dietary restrictions. My companion offered to let me have and eat my entree but I couldn't do that when they couldn't eat anything. We did leave Cheddar's without a meal. That made me sad. Please, Cheddar's, offer more low carb menu items. Low carb items can be eaten by anyone and are also delicious so offering low carb entrees wouldn't harm the business and might even boost it a bit because more carb-restricted customers could dine there. The server did great, did the best he could with what he'd been given. We were kind back and left quietly. If Cheddar's gets the herbed chicken entree back - or some other low carb chicken or beef entree - we'll return, but probably not until then. read more

Went to cheddars on memorial around 2pm. About 7 tables were occupied out of 30. We were told it would be 10 to 15 minute wait. We asked to go to the bar. Sat at the bar over 10 minutes and never saw a bartender. We went across the street to BJ's and sat down at the bar and had an appetizer and drinks in about 10 minutes. I'm not sure what's going on with the food here but I have had the food several times since my first visit and I have started opting to only getting drinks because the food is not warm, not seasoned and it is NOTHING like the location in Midwest City. We stopped by here on our way home. I had wanted to eat there for awhile and just never had stopped in. The atmosphere, though casual, was very comforting and well decorated. We were seated immediately and chatted for awhile with the hostess. She was very nice. Our waiter came over quickly and we ordered an appetizer of Wisconsin cheese bites. He also took our drink orders. He returned quickly and took our food order. Our food came out really fast. My husband got his salad and we got the cheese bites way faster than we expected. The cheese bites were awesome. We had Ranch dip with them. We hadn't even finished those and our food came out. My husband told the water that he liked lots of white gravy on his fried chicken and mashed potatoes. The waiter requested extra gravy on them and my husband was thrilled. I didn't take a picture but it looked like a plate of gravy. I got the Key West chicken and shrimp, the chicken was really tender and juicy. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. This is my 8th time here. The food has always been great. Most of the servers have been very good. There were a couple that were inattentive. The reason for the review is the front. Today, we were told there were no tables available. We could see that they were all available, but empty. I despise booths. The person restated that no tables were available as there were no servers. However, there was a server working two booths 4 feet from the tables. The front person continued to argue. I asked if she was willing for us to leave? She finally went to get a Manager. We were seated at the table, but made to feel as if this was going above and beyond. Policies should be revisited on how seating is handled. If not, this location will not last. This would be a shame as I enjoy eating here, but do not enjoy the attitude. read more

My husband and I stopped into Cheddar's for lunch today. We were greeted by a happy, sweet hostess and seated in a cozy corner. Our waitress was very knew the menu very well. Thank you Jessica. We were give complementary croissants with honey butter. Delicious, light and flaky! I had the blackened salmon on rice with carrots and green beans. Wonderful. So I enjoy the atmosphere here. But some of their food disappointed me. Half-pound patty in their burger was dry and chewy, one bit juicy. But I did like the flame grilled flavor. Fries are strange, dry and hollow inside, not good. Even their complimentary honey butter croissants are just ho-hum. I did enjoy their monte cristo sandwich, deep fried Bennigan's style, but not too greasy, just right. Even better dipped in their tasty ranch. Cook times ran long, nearly 45 minutes. We were looking forward to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen grand opening. We were greeted and seated and asked for our drink order. Our server brought us hot out of the oven crescent rolls that were drizzled with honey, butter -delicious. I ordered the fried shrimp and ribs, my two sides were broccoli casserole, red beans & rice. The four shrimp were battered and fried a golden brown served with a seafood cocktail sauce. The thick slab of juicy, tender pork ribs were lightly coated with a sweet smoky barbecue sauce. The red beans had a nice smoky flavor from the smoked sausage slices and was topped over white rice. The broccoli casserole was a nice cheesy topped with breadcrumbs. My hubby's #8 special - 'Chicken Tender Plater' had ginormous chicken tenders batter and fried a light golden brown were tossed in buffalo sauce - tender, and juicy. His coleslaw was creamy and a little sweet, which was very good. The french fries were piping hot. Our lunch orders were delicious. Service was great. We're looking forward to coming back. read more

My husband and I were so excited about a Cheddars in our area. I was reminiscent of their fall-off-the bone ribs that i was familiar with before. However, this time they were rock solid. Management had no desire to make it right. I ended up throwing them away. The other food was great though. The service could have been much better. My husband's steak was also over-cooked but he was still able to enjoy it. I understand a restaurant being new and making mistakes, even with every dish as we experienced, but at least offer a different entree (which I would have accepted) or refund the inedible entrée. read more

We consider this to be a lucky find. We were able to get a table at 6:30 on Saturday which we considered a blessing. They serve homemade croissants with a drizzle of honey butter. It took a long time to get our cocktails and our food came before the cocktails which is kind of a pet peave of mine. I like to enjoy my drink before dinner and it made dinner feel rushed. I ordered the small steak which was a perfect medium rare with the green beans and a Cesar salad. The salad was great but the beans not so much. They were overcooked. My husband's side of red beans and rice were very good. The furnishings are nice with a lot of sound deadening materials so the restaurant is not overly loud. read more
