I come to this BJ's pretty frequently and I've had my ups and downs with this location, but it has been mainly up, and that's why I am giving it 4 stars. My favorite thing about BJ's it's the $5 pazookie deal on Tuesdays as well as the $13 meal that includes a mini pazookie offered Monday-Fridays. BJ's prices tend to be a little towards the higher side, but those offers help make it a bit more affordable. The busyness of the place just depends on what time and day of the week that you come, and the service that you receive depends on the waiter that you have. We have had Sean for a few times and hands down he is one of the best waiters. He is nice, caring, and always assures that everything goes well. BJ's has a big menu that you can order from that includes pizza, burgers, steak, pasta, and many other things. I highly recommend trying it at least one time! read more

I had a great experience here! Walking in I was greeted warmly by the hostess and seated immediately. The place is wood, brick, and concrete giving it a old time charm and warmth. My server Kinzie was fantastic. She made the visit a great one by staying right on top of my experience and timing my meal perfectly. I ordered the Italian Chicken Parmesan Mini Pizookie Meal Deal. I ordered the Ribeye as I always do med rare. It came very thin and well done. They replaced it, waitress was super nice and manager came over and again nice efficient and caring! I understand mistakes happen. I didn't understand the thickness was minute. Replacement was much thicker as it should be ashamed as usual. All was good as they made it right. What I didn't care for was the hostess who never cracked a smile, not with us and not with others, as if she didn't want to be there. Then she had the audacity to seat 2 parents and 5 kids at the booth that is the half round when you had the much bigger booth in the bar area! I even heard the parents and kids complain how cramped. My family and I had dinner here for New Years. The ambiance is pretty much the same. Warm and inviting brewery/sports bar vibe but yet classy at the same time. We started as always with chips and salsa. I had a Committed IPA and my oldest daughter had a skinny margarita. I had steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli, my wife had the Caesar salad, my daughters had pasta and wings. We enjoyed watching Ohio State lose to Miami. It was a late-night dinner -- the soup came out quickly, but our baby back ribs and flatbread took quite a while. The fries were a bit salty. After work stop for some gossip and happy hour. During the week was pretty empty and we had great service! Appetizers are a nice price at $7 and HH drinks are available as well. We liked everything we ordered, guacamole egg rolls, potstickers, and wings! My gluten free coworker was happy the wings are not breaded and sauce was great. I loved the pot stickers! I eat Asian food a lot and these were yummmmy! It's a nice location, with shopping close by. Easy to get on/off the highway. It's casual or business style as you please. What a disappointment! Not only have prices gone up here, but service was poor due to the bartender having to much to cover at lunch time. The value of the food had declined. I ordered the tavern cut pizza thinking that it was a actual pizza. When I got home, it was actually a flatbread. The crust is cracker crust and because of that has very limited topping so no matter how many toppings you buy it will only support so much topping. The crust is large so only the center of the pizza actually has toppings. This is a very poor choice at this restaurant. The deep dish pizza, which is really not deep dish. It is a crust that is made of more of a croissant dough loaded with butter, deep dish has multiple layers of cheese and sauce. This pizza does not. If you need something filling go deep dish, the tavern pizza should be sold as a flatbread as an appetizer. Even at half price not a good deal. read more

Terrible lackluster experience. Walked in with the intention of having a meal with a few beers at the bar and just left after one beer. No bartender present when I arrived despite the fact the bar area was about 1/3 full. Only about two tables had guests on a Monday evening. I finally found someone who provided a coaster for me despite the fact I was just sitting there starring at an empty beer glass the last patron had left. Finally. After listening to to the history of the bartenders Brasil FIFA shirt purchase with another patron, I was finally "allowed" to place my drink order not before given a rude look from the bartender because I wanted the previous patrons empty glass taken away. To add insult to injury, I ordered a $5 happy hour wheat beer and paid with a $10 bill and the red headed bartender had the gall to ask me if I needed change???? I guess he deserved a 100% tip for handing me a beer. Anyways, he gives me back $4. When I inquired about the shortchange he said there was tax. I guess the city of Southlake has a 20% sales tax rate. I just got up and walked out...Never again...I would give anything to have the restaurant customer service experience just a mere 25 years ago but those days are long gone...I suspect this corporate investment subsidiary will be filling for bankruptcy soon like all the rest....good riddance. read more

We've been visiting this location every Thursday for the past six months. Over the last couple of months, we've noticed a decline in both service and food quality. On our most recent visit, we arrived at 7:00 PM and waited 15 minutes before anyone took our drink and appetizer order. After placing our entrée orders, my daughter received her meal within minutes. By 8:00 PM, she had finished eating, but my son and I had yet to receive our meals. When my order finally arrived, I had requested wings with a dry rub, but the seasoning was served on the side. I sent the order back, expecting it to be remade. Instead, the kitchen simply tossed the seasoning onto the already-cooked wings. The wings were cooled, and the dry rub didn't adhere at all, making the dish unappetizing and poorly prepared. This used to be our favorite restaurant. Eating here every week is not exactly cheap. We will not ever go back now with the continued decline in quality and service. This experience clearly falls in line with other restaurants that have accepted sub-par standards but have no issue charging a premium price. read more

It had been a LONG time since I ate at a BJ's--we used to quite a bit back in college, but I hadn't been since. I'm glad we came back after all this time because this meal did not disappoint. We were greeted and seated immediately. The waiter was very attentive and our drinks were never empty. The food was a good as I remembered. I ordered an 11 inch 5 meat pizza and a Hefeweizen beer. The pizza had a crunchy, crispy crust and flavorful toppings. The beer was exactly what a Hefe should be, full bodied with sweet and fruity notes. We skipped dessert but I saw "flights of pizookies" (three smaller sized pizookies of presumably different flavors) being served to other tables, and boy were they tempting. But in the end the pizza and beer was more than enough. Unlike other restaurants whose veneer has faded over time (I'm looking at you Buca De Beppo), BJ's looks like it has kept up a quality product and meal experience. We will be coming back more frequently for sure! read more

So July 3rd is one of the busiest nights in the Southlake with lots of folks coming in to dine out prior to the fireworks. The fireworks celebrated their 25th anniversary this year, so BJ's has no excuse for not being properly staffed. We were seated promptly, and a friendly manager came by and asked if he could put a game on the TV for us. After that, everything went downhill. Our server seemed to have too many tables for one person. She took our order in a timely fashion, but it took a while to get our first round of drinks. My husband ordered a second beer. Then our food came out. It was as expected, maybe a little cold from the wait, but okay. Our server never checked on us. I had to borrow ketchup from another table. My husband went to the bar to get me a second beer. We ate our meals, and we still had to flag down our server to cancel his beer that he never received and ask for our check. I haven't visited BJ's in over a year, and when I did visit, I visited the location in Arlington/North Richland Hills. Never, did I have an issue. On 08/18/2021, I was in the mood for BJ's and I decided to take a chance through UberEats. Oh man, what a mistake that was. My order: Mozzarella Tomato Salad: Per the picture added, it was swimming in the dressing. The greens were soggy and sparse. The dressing was so salty, I wasn't able to enjoy the salad and it went straight to the trash. Mini - BJ's Favorite Pizza (Deep Dish) Come on, you can't be serious with this one. Not too long ago, I was chatting with someone about BJ's and they mentioned their pizzas weren't worth the bucks. Sadly, they were right. The "deep dish", shouldn't even be in the description. It literally, was a bunch of bread with toppings thrown on top. The veggies (as you can see), were thrown on top and not even soft or cooked along with the other parts of the pizza. The bread was soggy underneath and was a complete wash, I'm shocked they tried to pass this along as pizza. Strawberry Shortcake Pizookie - Out of the whole meal, this was the only saving grace. I went bc I had a gift card and wanted a pizookie. Food was so bad that I chose to not even get it. I sat at the bar, service was good, had a few whiskeys. I got the boneless wings EXXXXtra hot. They weren't the slightest hot and tasted like frozen Nuggets reheated. I gave up after eating a few. Decided to go with the Club, bad decision. We went in for the bottomless soup and salad on Friday. We got the soup, finished the bowl and probably 15 min later we got the salad which was a little withered. He then left the table and didn't bother to bring another bowl of soup. We asked for another bowl and again another 15 minutes we finally received that. Drinks were empty and had to ask for refills. I'm not one to complain but while I was in the restroom he told our waiter and he was very kind about it. I got a new sandwich and it was perfect! The environment was nice but the heat inside the restaurant was less than lovely. I was wearing a sundress and I was sweating. My hubby works for GWL as a cook and he was fine but I noticed the waiters and waitresses were sweating and looked like they needed to cool off. We came here for dinner last night (Sunday), but the bartender was such a jerk that after an appetizer we left. BJ's is our favorite restaurant so it was disappointing to have a bad experience. The queso usually doesn't come out hot, and at a different location the manager said to ask for it to be hot because they don't want to burn it and don't keep it very hot. I mentioned that to the bartender when we ordered and he replied with an attitude that he doesn't work in the kitchen. Then the other couple at the bar was ready to order and he said 'you'll have to just give me a minute to check on a table.' He might not realize how rude he come across; he shouldn't be in customer service. The bathroom wasn't being attended to and the hostess was too busy arranging silverware to seat people. We went to Boomer Jacks and had a great dinner and service. Hopefully the other BJ's locations are still good, we love this place. read more

Bae always suggests BJ's when we are looking for places to go and tonight I remember why. The menu is varied enough to give options but not out of control like other places. I wanted something light like a salad so that's what I ordered. The kale Brussels sprouts salad was pretty good. I got it just as it comes with no meat. I wasn't sure I'd like the strawberry champagne dressing it came with so I got rice wine vinaigrette and I was not disappointed. It went well with the salad. Bae got a very thin pizza that seemed to have adequate coverage. Our server Kelsey was on point which is what elevated this review to 5 stars. We ordered a pizza - my dad LOVED it, my husband said it was okay (he prefers thin crust). Came here with friends tonight for the $3 pizookie special. Always busy during nights like these, so we expected around a 20-30minute wait. We got here and it was pretty packed. It took us 30 minutes to get a greeting from our server, and then 20 more minutes for water. Then we got our pizookie 2 hours after we arrived, alerting us they were out of monkey bread, the one we ordered, so I ordered the fruity pebble seasonal one. We have dined only in the bar area, which is open seating. Both times, our waitresses have been patient and attentive. They know the menu well and helped us pick out a variety of their own beers that they make. Our friends have opted for the beer flights, to help them decide which kind of brewsky they would want to order for dinner. I also saw on the wall that they have flights for bourbon (can you say dangerous?!) We always start with the Ahi Poke- so delicious and healthy, with raw tuna, cabbage, onions and herbs. During our first visit, I ordered the Peruvian Quinoa bowl with salmon. If you are a quinoa lover, this dish will be right up your alley. It includes spinach, mushrooms, garlic and then the salmon was cooked perfectly. My husband always gets the same thing- the ahi salad. Huge portion with tasty toppings. During our last visit, I had the quinoa bowl with shrimp-just as good. Our friend ordered the xxx hot spicy wings. Now, this man is used to eating super spicy foods, so the spice wasn't much for him-the waitress brought out some sriracha sauce for him to use as a dipper! Firstly the beer is constantly flat (dead) and BJ's never clear the pipes at the beginning of the day. The bar staff have no idea how a beer should be poured, taste like or be presented. The men's restroom is disgustingly dirty. The urinals have a build up of calcium and dirt ( no further explanation needed). Your shoes stick to the floor, taps etc are just grubby. Question 1. If the public areas are not cleaned what is the condition of the "non public " areas??? If the employees use these washrooms so you really want them handling your food and drinks?? The service here varies everytime for us, I guess it depends on the time of day you go. When we've gone later in the night 10ish, service seems to be slow and non-attentive. When we've gone during normal hours, everything was perfect. This time we came later and waited awhile to be greeted. We like the food here, we've liked everything we have ever ordered. However, like I said it depends on the day. On one occasion, we sent everything back to the kitchen because the food was cold. The ribs, baked ziti, Great white pizza, and the 5 meat are some of our favorites. Their desserts are really good too. This time we ordered the Cookies and cream pazookie, delicious.
