I like a good deal. BJ's is running an all day, week-day only $13 Pizaookie meal deal. Entrees include chicken parm with spaghetti, a burger, a salad wiith grilled chicken- all excellent. There are more items on the deal menu but the ones I've named, we've tried. Your meal ends with a perfectly small pizzocookie of your choice. We've stopped in for lunch a few times and thought it was great!

The food is amazing, especially the Southern Fried Chicken included in the Pizookie Meal Deal, available Monday-Friday. I'm a regular here because it's so close to home and work, and the service is always friendly and efficient. It's never very loud - the vibe is low-key and chill. More often than not, the music also slaps.

They are open but refusing to serve food due to short staff. That's crap! BJ is dropping.... what happened to service?

Have been here a few times and have never had any issues. Great environment! As a restaurant it has the main needs for a sports bar. Good selection of beers and alcohol, Large TVs everywhere (most playing sports) but with a additive of good quality food. More of a upscale sports bar. Never really had a issue with service here. But they when they are busy, expect it to take longer than normal Today I got the Brisket burger! This burger is delicious. The brisket is smoked perfectly and a nice juicy burger to match it. Side fries are crispy and are a great side for this burger. For dessert the wife and I got the trio pizookie Triple chocolate Strawberry shortcake Chocolate chunk If you get anything to eat here, it has to be a pizookie. They are best in class here.

I came here with other family members as a request of my college going niece who wanted to celebrate her birthday at BJ's on pizookie Tuesday ($4 pizookie special). We did not make reservations before, but were able to make reservations the day of for a large party of 10 adults and 2 babies under 1 who would require highchairs. They were very accommodating and were able to set up a table and have it ready for us at 7pm. Service was fast. We ended up ordering apps and dessert. We got the calamari, 2 orders of the nachos (without meat), and 9 pizookies. Omg, the nachos were huge! We almost fell like one would be enough to share. We still had some left over and were super stuffed. The nachos were good though! We ordered strawberry shortcake, hot fudge brownie, salted caramel, chocolate chunk, and triple chocolate pizookies. The favorites of the night were the salted caramel and strawberry shortcake. One thing, we would have appreciated is bringing out the pizookies after we finished the apps. The ice cream on the pizookies started to melt as we were still working on the nachos. Overall, a good evening that made my niece's birthday.

Very average experience. We came into town around 9:40 and most places weren't open or were closing soon so we settled on BJ's. It was happy hour. I ordered a margarita and husband ordered a beer. We also got mozzarella sticks and chips with salsa and guacamole. The margarita was pretty sweet and ended up hurting my stomach so I only drank half of it. The snacks were both good. The salsa was a bit spicy and the guac was actually made fresh, which we were surprised by. When the bill came the margarita was not priced to reflect happy hour but the snacks were and I even pointed to the happy hour menu when ordering. Overall it wasn't bad but we weren't wowed either.

We needed to find a place to watch the football game, celebrate a birthday and be close to several families. BJs was perfect for all of this. They also took reservations, which was one of only a few that would during Ohio State game. I can't say enough for the impeccable service. From the hostess who let is change tables and set up a little section for us, to our server Shannon. She was truly amazing. She made us feel like we were her only table. Drinks were continually refilled without asking. She was so pleasant and helpful. We never felt like we were being rushed, even though we were at the table for a few hours. We started with a jumbo pretzel, excellent! Tavern Pizza was phenomenal and the cookie dessert with ice cream was amazing. Thank you Shannon for the great service and probably the best waitress we have had in months.

Ordered food to go....found a bottle cap in my couscous Mac and cheese. Glad I didn't bite into it!

Tiny portion of Baked Ziti for $18.00. It truly barely covered the bottom of the pan. Unacceptable.

Lousy BJ's! Like most restaurants, BJ's has raised their prices and giving smaller portions. That said, the Baked Ziti I ordered for delivery was unacceptable. I posted photos with this review to show the pathetic portion size. The Baked Ziti was $18.00 and it barely covered the bottom of the small foil container it is served in. The pictures I posted were taken before eating a bite. The sides of the foil container are the same height of a traditional pie tin or pot pie tin. I've ordered the Baked Ziti for years and I can honestly say that the portion was only about 1/3 of the portions I've received in the past...AND IT WAS MORE EXPENSIVE! I also ordered a Jalapeño Burger well done and as usual the burger patty was undercooked and red inside. Gross! I've stopped dining in at this BJ's location because we have consistently encountered rude service, chili that is warm at best, and received severe attitude from the hostess when I requested not to be seated next to a table with two screaming children. If I am dining out and spending hard earned money for a meal and drinks, I don't want to sit by a table with screaming kids and parents that just let their kids scream and let them do whatever they want to do, and I certainly don't need rude remarks and dirty looks from someone who looks like they are still in high school and dressed like a bimbo. BJ's looks nice inside with plenty of TVs and it tends to be loud in general. The table tops are sticky even though they look clean. I do like some of the food at BJ's, but I won't return to the location nor will I order carry out or delivery from this location. It is consistently poor.

"No Soliciting " is a bar we found online - but didn't realize is a private club for members only. We tried The Pearl next door. They were closing in minutes. So we found that North High was the next closest place that closed at 10:00pm. We were also desperate for a restroom. We walked in - the place was devoid of customers - and the bar tender was NOT happy to see us. She had a very long day - and was yearning to "Just. Go. Home." We've all been there. She agreed to let us have one drink in plastic cups - completely understandable. But she messed up by letting us stay - completely underestimating the level of style & charm (not to mention handsomeness) my colleague and I possess *wink* . "One drink" turned into a handful. A good time was had by all. We hated that we had an early morning the next day - and had to return to our hotel well before we would have liked. I will make North High a "mandatory stop" on future visits (alongside my other "mandatory stop" - The Rusty Bucket for their buffalo chicken sandwich - with an extra side of buffalo). Side note - she gave me a taste of their Bloody Mary mix. *VERY* good. I used some of my dashing character and disarming baby blues to swindle them out of a bottle for only $15. It was worth $50. But this was a one-off deal. Don't walk in there expecting the same courtesy - unless you too possess unmatched panache & flair *finger guns*.

We went today for Father's Day, about six months after the last sub par experience, hoping it would be better. Somehow they ran out of chicken again?! AND lemonade, and they had no kids menus left. Food took forever. I ordered a glass of wine that never arrived - and when we got our check it's just a tablet with a price. We wanted to leave so I didn't even check to see if the wine was still on there. Food was cold, salad was soggy, burger was very meh. For $150 it was overall a bad experience for the second time in a row. Definitely spend your money at any of the other local restaurants in town.

Crooked Can Brewery seems to be the center point. Then there are about 6 food options to choose. There were 4 of us and we all got something different. I got Dojo Dumpling. The person who got that loved it. The meatball place was good as well. But the serving for a bowl was tiny for the price. And the Burger place was a hit. Good burger and good fries. The brewery has a long bar that is on the one side. Lots of TV's everywhere and seating is everywhere. Got the apple cider. Again. No flavor. Kinda bland. Very disappointing. Love food halls. My husband and daughter ordered pizza from Meatball Mafia. The pizza came out fresh, hot, and steamy. They ordered a half cheese, half sausage pizza! The cheese on the pizza was super melty and had a nice cheese pull every bite - pure perfection! (5/5) I ordered the pork dumplings, pork bao, and french fries from Dumplings of Fury. The pork dumplings were pan fried and cooked perfectly; however, it seemed that the dumpling were all pork - no other filling. Too "meaty" for me! The pork bao were not my favorite either - the bao was cold and the pork belly was primarily fat (not worth the cost). Ironically, the french fries were the best part of my order. The fries were crispy, crunchy, and thick; however, a tad cold (they must have been sitting while the other items were cooking). (1/5) My husband and I also ordered drinks from Crooked Can Brewing. I believe he had an IPA while I enjoyed a Bloody Mary. (4/5) We would like to come back again and try some of the other food spots the next time we're in town! Flights are presented in a 2x2 metal tin -- casual and approachable, consistent with the brewery's neighborhood identity. The beers demonstrate range and intention. Goober PB&J Strawberry stands out as dessert-level execution with authentic peanut butter character and balanced jelly sweetness that feels nostalgic without tipping into sharp sour acidity. It is genuinely crave-able and thoughtfully restrained. Neon Tides (Cherry Limeade Sour) carries a subtle fruit-candy nostalgia -- playful without becoming syrupy. The lime provides lift and keeps the finish clean. A Vicious Cycle (Dark Czech Pilsner) offers structural clarity and balance, functioning as an effective palate reset among sweeter selections. Reign of Crows (Munich Dunkel) reveals quiet complexity with a lightly toasted, almost sesame-like warmth that becomes more expressive as it warms in the glass. The Pumpkin Spice Old Fashioned presents with seasonal intention and visual appeal. The spice profile is evident, though slightly forward relative to the base spirit. The cocktail would benefit from tighter integration between whiskey structure, sweetening element, and spice aromatics to achieve a more cohesive finish. Conceptually strong, with room for refinement in balance. The Winter Salad (roasted red and golden beets, feta, pepitas, dried cranberries, maple vinaigrette) is thoughtfully composed and visually cohesive but distinctly sweet-forward from the first bite. With multiple sweet elements operating in parallel, the profile lacks the acidity or fresh contrast needed to sustain balance through the full portion. A bright lift -- such as shaved fennel, heirloom cherry tomatoes, crisp cucumber, or a subtle citrus adjustment to the vinaigrette -- would introduce dimension and elevate an already strong foundation. The space feels active and community-driven, with visible event programming and family-friendly energy. It is evident that team members are managing multiple responsibilities, including bar service and event coordination. When individuals are asked to wear many hats simultaneously, execution can naturally feel divided. Additional role support or clearer delineation of responsibilities could elevate consistency across the experience. One operational consideration: strongly aromatic outside food was permitted directly at the bar, which overtook the tasting space and disrupted the sensory pairing of beer and food. Because aroma is integral to the tasting experience, clearer environmental boundaries would strengthen the overall execution. The enclosed patio provides an alternative seating option, though it is unheated in colder months. Overall, Counterbalance demonstrates creative brewing, solid technical execution, and a strong community presence. With minor refinements in flavor balance and environmental management, the experience has the potential to move from enjoyable to truly exceptional.

I was a bit hesitant going in because it's been years since the last Yelp review -- that lack of recent buzz (good or bad) felt concerning. On a Saturday night, it wasn't overly busy, so we didn't have trouble getting a table (they don't take reservations but do accept call-aheads). I ordered the burger and onion rings, and both were genuinely delicious -- I was very happy with my food. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't as smooth for my friends. One has a severe seafood allergy, and she was shocked to learn that all fried items (fries, onion rings, etc.) are cooked in the same oil as the seafood. It made her nervous to order much else from the menu, and we almost walked out when we found out. A separate fryer or dedicated oil for non-seafood items seems like a basic accommodation these days. Two other friends are recovering alcoholics and were disappointed that the only "non-alcoholic" beer option still contained a slight amount of alcohol. Their only other choice was a sugary mocktail, which isn't great for diabetics either. In 2026, it's surprising that a restaurant/bar still struggles with these common dietary and lifestyle needs. The food we did eat was solid, but the evening felt dampened by the lack of basic accommodations. There are plenty of other places that handle allergies and non-drinkers much better. I would have scored them much higher if they could have accommodated this basics.
