I'm no Karen, but this was the absolute worst restaurant service experience we've had in years, if not decades. WE had not been to the Tuttle Mall Area BJ's for a few years and we were in the area and we had good memories of it. First, after we were seated, we waited 20 minutes to get our initial drink order and somebody to say "hi" (only after an inquiry / complaint to the front). I then made the mistake of hitting the restroom. I don't believe it had been cleaned since last time we were there which was during Trump's first term in office. I've actually been in "port-a-potties' that smelled better, and I'm not kidding. Anyhow, I made it back to the table. Another 20 minutes before food order was taken by server. After that, another 30 minutes to actually get the food. There was something wrong with the chicken in my soup and the food was more cold than warm. Connecting the dots on the food temperature, it had obviously been sitting someplace for a bit. Also, I really mean that on the chicken, it didn't taste natural (it had a 'chemical' taste) and I hope I don't get sick. Another 20 minutes or so to get our order in for desert. We then waited for 30 minutes for our desert but we had things to do and left before we got our desert. As I type this, it may still be being made. Was it busy? no.... Did our server have a bunch of other tables? again, no.... he would just disappear for 20 or 30 minute increments, absolutely nowhere to be seen.... Anybody's guess on his destination.... There seemed to be alot of young'ish kids working there, smiling to each other, talking to each other, laughing with each other, having a great time (except for our server, he was just AWOL)... They definitely spent their energy on each other and not the folks attempting to get some food.... Anyhow, that's it for us.... Even though we left before our desert showed up, I still threw down enough cash to cover the check and an unavoidable tip because I wasn't gonna wait for change... Kind of felt robbed in a way, so they won't get my $$ again.... Don't go to this place on purpose, you've been warned.... BTW, if you have a kid looking for their first job, your kid hates to do actual work, your kid has zero work ethic, but your kid loves to stand around and laugh with other kids, send him or her to BJs at Tuttle to work. They'll absolutely love to work at this place, perfect for them. But you better make it fast as the Columbus northwest side is ultra-competitive on eateries and this place is a slow old gazelle grazing on the African Serhengetti.... read more

It's basically an Applebees/ TGIF with dreams of being a Cameron Mitchell. So just go to an Applebees or a Cameron Mitchell. The plates were wet and dirty. Like, when your dishwasher throws up gunk into the sink, that sort of flotsam and jetsam was all over the appetizer plates. Sent the stack back, received a new stack which were at least dry and only had 1 dirty plate amongst the bunch, so an improvement from 7/10 being dirty, but still a failing score. The wait staff was pleasant enough, when present, but they appear to be very understaffed, as they had such a large area to cover getting attention was difficult and took forever. Food was bleh. I ordered something which was supposed to come with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and requested the mashed potatoes be swapped for broccoli. Food arrived with only broccoli, so I guess they were out of asparagus and just didn't say. The sauce on the rubbery chicken had also started to form skin in a most unappetizing way and I did not finish it. They are most-known for the pizookie things, which are good in the way fair food is good. But if your star dish is basically premade cookie dough pressed into a miniature pizza tin, underbaked, and served with purchased ice cream, well, you're not exactly at the height of culinary experiences and technique. The inside of the restaurant is at least attractive, so there is that going for them. Stick with pizza and the pizookies, avoid the fancier menu items. But really, I'd just pick somewhere else. read more

The draft beer is warm. Not just on one visit, but two. It's really a bummer because their custom brews could be really good. Bartender was really unfriendly. I suppose in this area, that's accepted now. Hard to find friendly service in the Dublin/Hilliard area. When you do... wow. What a difference it can make. Not here. dining in: always a wait to be seated, even if there are plenty of tables open. It is so annoying. delivery and take out: 10% chance your order is accurate. Something is always wrong with some part of the order. Ordering a pizookie- unless you specifically request to pack the ice cream separately they will pack the ice cream in with all the hot food so it is melted when it arrives at your house. Getting ahold of the manager to try and fix any issue is painful. read more

Let me start this by saying this was a Wednesday night and there was a surprisingly good amount of front end staff and they weren't busy, so I was optimistic we would have a good meal...silly me. This was bad from the moment we sat down. The seats in the booth were so old and broke down that we sank so low that, at 6'3, the table was at my lower chest. After being seated the waiter didn't make himself known for 15 minutes and then every time he came to the table it seemed like he was in a hurry to get away. When the food came out my nieces chicken sandwich was dried out but she wouldn't send it back. My wife's salad looked like a pile of greens that had been sitting out all day. She wouldn't send hers back either. My cheesesteak sandwich was so dried out the very thin slice of cheese on it looked like a piece of paper that got wet and was laid in the sun to dry.....I sent mine back. As I was telling the waiter about it, he just said "I got it" and took off while I was explaining it. I had to get up and track him down to explain that I did not want it remade, I just wanted it off my bill. The manager came over and they gave all three of us free desert, which was nice, but I think BJs hay-day is long past. The place is getting run down and the food was horrible. read more

The worst service and atmosphere I've ever experienced at a restraunt. Coming from a family that works in the industry, we were appalled. When we walked in all the servers and host stood around and stared at us until one boy finally came up and was rude. No one welcomed us in. When finally sat at at table, the waitress asked if we wanted Pepsi. We ordered two waters and sat there for another ten minutes with workers standing around gossiping and staring at customers. Very embarrassing for BJs to have a staff that acts this way. We wanted to leave right as we were sat and tried to give our server a chance until she never came back out. After not being helped by anyone we walked out and were watched with no questions or goodbye. The whole staff at this location really needs a new job that does not entail customer service. We checked in online as it said 5-10 minute wait. We arrived at the restaurant and were told 15-20 minute wait. After 30 minute wait I looked around and found 26 open tables. During our wait we observed 8-9 parties leave the restaurant yet no one was being seated. At any given time there was 3-4 employees gathering g around d the hostess table talking and laughing. There was absolutely no sense of urgency from the staff. At 35 minutes I asked about the wait time and they informed us that the kitchen was unable to take any orders. No other explanation was provided nor was the wait time revised. We left and went to Rusty Bucket in Dublin where we had exceptional service and an outstanding meal. I'll never return to BJs. I am unsure on what was really happening during our Group of six's visit on Saturday, October 26th. It took quite awhile before we were provided our beverages (water & lemonade only) and things went downhill from there. Once our appetizers arrived we discovered we were not provided utensils and napkins which I do believe the Hostess was to provide upon seating us. So we had to wait to receive utensils, a few other appetizers as well as 2 salads before we could enjoy our appetizers. Once we received some of our entrees it was time for our drinks to be refilled but never were until we asked. There were 3 additional servers, our server, and the manager who had to bring out all of our food to the table. There were discrepancies in 3 of our meat temperature requests. Which we had to wait additional time to request for those to be corrected and wait additional time for the meats to be recooked. We still did not receive our 2 salads, which eventually the manager had to make and bring out to us himself, which we did greatly appreciate. I love BJ's and suggested that we patronize the restaurant last night but was saddened by the service and the food. I always eat dessert whenever I frequent any restaurant but last night was the first time I turned down dessert due to thoughts of having more issues. Hopefully all of the issues we encountered will be resolved and no one else will endure the issues we had to encounter. read more

I've been to multiple BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse locations throughout the Columbus area and out of state as well. I've always been very happy with the variety they offer and have never been disappointed with the food. With the Tuttle location though, I can't help but notice the service. I've been at this location a few times with party sizes larger than 8 and we were greeted with looks of annoyance from the staff and managers! We weren't able to make a reservation for a party of that size so I'm not sure what they wanted us to do? I was at this location yesterday with my fiancé and saw the same exact thing happen to another large group. I almost left because they were being rude. I'd like think a business would welcome these large groups with the amount of money to be made for the store and tips for staff? read more

We ordered BJ's through DoorDash and they did a good job with getting the food on time for the dasher to pick up. We tried the Sliders, Avocado Egg rolls and chicken potstickers. The sliders were good and the pot stickers were actually pretty decent. We tried them fried rather than pan seared and they were good. We didn't get any sauce with them so we just used soy sauce and it helped. The avocado egg rolls were 0/10. We took one bite and didn't want anymore. We put them in the air fryer for a minute to re-crisp them, so it wasn't a texture thing. The taste was way off and very bland. And there was no sauce to help mask the weird flavor. Cheesecake Factory takes the cake with the egg rolls for sure. Worth a try, but will probably try something different next time. read more

We came to the restaurant on a Friday evening but only had to wait to be seated a few minutes. Our waitress Torah was really helpful in assisting us with meal options since it was our first time at the business. The restaurant was spacious & had plenty of seats including booths and tables. There was a moderate level of noise inside of the business. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. My meal was good but not that great to the point that I have to go back anytime soon. The desert on the other hand was really good. I chose the s'mores pizookie. It had chocolate, peanut, with melted marshmallows on top. The desert was served warm with ice cream on top. It was large enough that I was able to share it & still have some left over to take home. They also had a variety of other pizookie flavors and desserts. We arrived to a nearly empty restaurant and were told it would be 45 minutes to an hour to be sat. After we sat down it took over 3 hours to get through this painful meal. None of the food was fresh, almost everything was cold or noticeably made days ago and kept in the fridge (seared tuna.....they should specify they sear days in advance. Fishy, completely ice cold, big no-no). One of our pizookies came out looking like somebody had taken a bite out of it, server did not care. We had to ask for refills of our drinks numerous times over the course of three hours or else they wouldn't refill the drinks. If you get an appetizer, main course, and pizookie......expect to wait at least an hour to an hour and a half between the courses. To cap it all off the manager is extremely rude to customers and doesn't know how any of their promotions work. Our server also got an attitude with everyone at the table and just didn't seem to want to be there or care about the experience of his tables. If you're going to go to a BJ's........make the trip up to Polaris. There truly is never an excuse to dine at the Tuttle Mall location. read more

Macain was kind and attentive, caring and personable, even when things went wrong... they went right. If I still worked in this profession I would be stealing him to come work for me, not writing this review. Honestly, this place used to be amazing! My family and I used to go here all the time and we never had any issues with our food or drinks. Recently though our food has come and not tasted good at all or it's been wrong. The service has gone down too, seems like all of the waiters and waitresses are very rude. Our waiter was looking all around him. The entire time we were ordering, didn't even seem like he was paying attention to us. Which is probably why our food came out wrong! So I have probably eaten at BJ's over a dozen times in the past year, and while only two were in person I have never had a bad experience. We typically order off of door dash and their deep dish pizza is amazing. I also really like their shrimp scampi, as well as their chicken alfredo, and the salmon is also quite delectable. The menu is huge so it's probably going to be a challenge for you to find something there you don't like or can't eat. In fact because my family is full of children, picky eaters, vegetarians, and the gluten free, it's the reason it's sort of our go to for large family gatherings at least once a year. The vibe is pretty standard, nothing too unique about it, but they do have a huge beer selection for those that are into that. I can't tell you what any of them are, but my dad and brother are always pleased with the hops they've got. And they have this ridiculously good mix of giant doughy cookies in pans with ice cream that they call Pizookies. Salted Caramel is probably my favorite. If you are looking for somewhere to please the whole family, definitely recommend this place! read more

We stopped into BJs last night for their half off pizza Monday promotion. I had little expectations for how the pizza would be but ended up pleasantly surprised. Their thin crust pizzas are generally around 16 dollars, so getting this for 8 dollars was a steal. I had the Italian pizza with a side of ranch (I'm a child) and absolutely loved it. The restaurant itself was very clean and it was a busy night, service started off slow but picked up with a great waiter. This is my stand-by, last-minute, I don't have a plan but need a plan restaurant. 95% of my orders over the past year have been online with "curbside takeout" - a great answer to a plan when you want to pick up something from drive-thru but don't want food that comes through a drive-thru window. Depending on the day of the week and time, the wait for online order to be ready is anywhere from 30-60 minutes - kind of perfect. The service is impeccable. I do love eating "in" because I like the decor and the staff is really friendly - but it is really convenient to order online as I'm wrapping up at the office for the day and drive the 10 minutes to the restaurant to pick up dinner ready to take home. I have learned their "deals" and average 3 visits per month but there have been weeks when I've had family guests at home and we hit this menu 3 times in a week. Monday is 50% off large "deep dish" pizza, which includes their tavern-cut thin pizza flats as well. A bargain and a crowd-pleaser, whichever you choose. I don't typically partake in Tuesday (Pizookie day) - but I will admit it's a nice dessert, just plan on sharing unless you want your sugar level to spike. (but really, what a way to go) Wednesday is a loaded burger and fries for $10 night - and their burgers are amazing. The vegetarian option is quite good as well so it's a nice option. Thursday is their "slow roasted" entree special ... the tri-tip is a favorite with my son and I and if family is in town we pair it with ribs for a real crowd-pleaser complete with sides. My personal favorite items are their side dishes - which include very inventive vegetable options and paired with a salad make for a very nice, healthy "take out" option and I don't even have to leave the car. read more

I've been a fan of BJ's since the 1980's when they were still a pizza place, and only in Southern California. After countless visits to their Laguna Beach restaurant, I sought the original restaurant in Santa Ana. After 30+ years, their pizza still is outstanding: a California twist on a Chicago deep dish. At every pizza restaurant, a Margherita is my test pizza to check the essentials, the crust, the sauce, and the cheese. BJ's cheese and tomato never disappoints. But, if you can do the basics right, the BBQ chicken, Great White, Sweet Pig and others are improve on perfection. Their fare now includes salads, tacos, burgers, ribs, pork chops (steak) and tri-tips, and as many choices as they can cram into their huge, Cheesecake-Factory-challenging menu. Monday nights' special is half off a large pizza. We arrived at 6:30 and they had run out of large pans! But, quick thinking in the kitchen made up for it with combos of smalls, mediums, and mini, and topped of with an apology of free dessert. Our server was delightful, attentive, and helpful. She was quick with a refill and just as quick to remove the extra serving dishes. Tuttle Crossing is far from Santa Ana but BJ's has not strayed from its roots; great pizza and service. read more

As far as chain restaurants go, BJ's Brewhouse is a pretty good one. I've gone a few times and it's one of those places that every time I look at the menu, I'm certain there's going to be something I'm going to LOVE. The menu is a full book, after all. I always leave full, but never fully satisfied. This was the first time I ordered the Berry Burst Cider. It was surprisingly light and delicious, if not a tad on the sweet side. BJ's Brewhouse has great lunch deals and plenty of options based on your tastes, so it's great for a large group! I veered away from the lunch menu and went for a salad that I had gotten before - the grilled chicken antipasto salad. I'm going to be honest - this is a pretty great salad. It has all of the fixings of an antipasto platter, but laying on a bed of arugula and a piece of grilled chicken. I'm always bothered by restaurants that don't bother to cut the food in to smaller pieces for consumption on a salad, personally. It makes for a great presentation, but I would rather have bite size pieces of tomato and chicken (rather than quartered or cut on a bias, respectively). That might just be a personal grief on my end, though. As an aside, I have gotten the fried artichokes in previous visits. Don't sleep on those - they're pretty amazing. As with many restaurants of this same standard, the hallmark is the dessert. Save room for a pizzoki for sure! It seems simple - a giant cookie with a scoop of ice cream, but it really is delicious. I got the salted caramel pizzoki. The cookie was light, warm, and gooey. The ice cream was simple, but still delicious. Plus they're only $3 on Tuesdays. So if anything, I will be back on Tuesdays simply for the pizzoki. Overall, a decent experience. Service was good, food was good, pizzoki was great. If you're looking to please a lot of palettes, BJ's Brewhouse is a really good option. read more

While my family and I typically enjoy their food, tonight's carry out order isn't even hitting the mediocre bar. I'm very disappointed because we order the same thing pretty much every time. Both myself and my partner's "enlightened entrée" had scoops of old/brown guacamole, the rice was undercooked, my salmon is completely different (probably due to the shortages) and the flavors that we're used to totally lacked this time. One of them last times we had a bad experience with them it was difficult to reach management on the phone. I hope that we don't get sick from these meals. I normally finish everything and I've barely at half. Very lackluster this time. I'm hoping to be provided with a solution regarding this when we try to call. I dread doing so because of the channels of trying to reach the right person over the phone for issues such as these. read more

We just left and had a great experience. Our nachos and my daughters food came out and they were pretty cold. I wasn't going to say anything but our pizza was also cold. We let out waiter know (I'm horrible at names but he was AWESOME), and he promptly put a new pizza in for us and even got my daughter hot sweet potato fries. The manager even stopped by to let us know she took care of our cold food. We didn't want this at all, we just wanted warm pizza. We have two small children so we don't get out of the house a lot, so we really appreciate being so well taken care of. It was a great experience given the situation. I was prepared to be disappointed, knowing it was a chain and reading a few of the other reviews. And: I wasn't. Low expectations? Maybe. But it was a good experience. The service was very good. The place is pretty nice. I tried the root beer first, and it wasn't bad. Not great, but pretty good: a mellow blend of herbal and sweet, not too carbonated or overly sweet. Next I had a flight of beers. There doesn't seem to be any sort of sampler on the menu, but you can get 4 good-size beakers of whatever you want. I tried the Hefeweizen, red ale, "Abbey Normal," and porter. All were good, not great. I particularly liked the red and the abbey-style. Lots of good stuff on the menu, but I didn't want to go overboard. Tried the fried artichokes and the avocado egg rolls. The artichokes were really good, and came with a ranchy dipping sauce. The egg rolls were also good, with large fresh chunks of avocado and a blend of other ingredients. Don't know if I'll be back soon, but that's not because it's bad- just that there are so many better places out there. Plus, I'll admit, I was a bit disappointed in the root beer. I had hoped it would be good enough to justify taking some home, and coming back regularly. Nah. But it's worth trying. read more

Stopped in last week because I had some time to kill and thought an ice cold brew would hit the spot... I was right. BJs was large and nice inside and he daytime bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable about their beer. I can't remember exactly what beer I had, but it was one of their BJs IPAs and it was delicious. I really enjoyed it and I wished I had more time to try a few other beers as well. I food looked good but I didn't try anything. I saw that they have half price pizza on Monday's and that sounds like a great deal. I am definitely willing to try BJs out in the future.
