Store is clean and a stocked well. The line for gas is usually long but that is to be expected.

The good news is the prices are very good. I prefer them to Costco in this regard, they have some smaller sizes of fresh items that are more user friendly. Some good deals on red meat and deli items. Will cut down tenderloins at no charge. Hate the parking lot and the checkout process. Takes forever to get out of the store. Crowbarred the store into a space and the lot is too small. Everyone meets at the same place as they try to enter the store, leave the store, or drive into or out of the parking lot. Poorly designed and too many impatient drivers. Surprised there are not more accidents. read more

Stopped by to check the place out since a discounted membership was being offered thru my employer. First impression on January 17th visit wasn't good: several racks of dried up and browning old holiday wreaths for sale outside at the front door looked terrible. Wacky product placement inside too, with taco sauce in a different aisle than taco shells. And the building itself needs maintenance with peeling wall coverings. Unfortunately, the membership card it was linked to expired a couple months later. Signed up for a new membership and was not able to link the same day delivery to the new membership. Called customer service and I was assured of a refund for the same day delivery. They said to sign up for a new membership for their same day delivery. I did and used it 1 time only. Waited the standard 7-10 days. No refund. Called again. Again, promised the refund in 7-10 business days. Still no refund. Instead, they canceled the 2nd same day delivery membership. That they did refund. Over the course of 2+ months, I have called 5 times and wasted multiple hours on the phone listening to their lies. Meanwhile, these thieves still have my money. read more

I was a Bj's member for 35 years and enjoyed the stores products and prices. After moving I went there less and less often to the point of this year when I cancelled the membership. Having auto-renewal something went wrong and I was incorrectly charged. I sent a note to Capital One (who administered the financing and credit) however it was ignored and then the debt fees and interests compiled to where the amount owed was now DOUBLE the yearly renewal fee! I figured I better bite the bullet because in today's world it seems like corporations take advantage of the customer. I wrote a nasty email to BJ's. To my surprise Stella (and on last email Keith) took it upon themselves to right the situation and I was replenished the full amount (late fees, penalty and interest). The deli service is painfully slow, the people working there have no sense of urgency and move slower than a sloth. I really don't understand how they choose to higher such incompetency. I've been shopping here for approximately 10 years or more. The product supply has been rather poor in the past 6 months or so. I come home with at least 3 items not available every trip-no stocking on shelves. Wellsley Decaf coffee wasn't available for approximately 3 months. My husband and I have made numerous phone calls and have continually gotten the run around regarding this cash back - which to date Oct 15 we still have not received. I used to shop here often when I lived in Lancaster but I still come here from time to time when I'm in the area. Everyone has always been courteous and I've never had any issues shopping here. It's your usual BJ's and they stock everything you would normally expect. I think this one is a little smaller than most other ones? They do sell gas here which is awesome! They also will refill your propane tanks for a lot less than switching out the tanks at Walmart. They will also fill the tanks to the max where you may or may not get a fully filled tank at Walmart. They will also fill partially full tanks and charge you for what you need. I would recommend coming to this BJ's, I've never had any issues. read more

I got tired of checking out my entire cart every time I shop there while 3-4 staff stand around talking, laughing, or fighting with each other. Lines of customers wait for self checkout while the staff get paid to do nothing - it's ridiculous! Also, BJ's auto renews your membership BEFORE it expires - there's even an option when you call to reverse it, so they know customers don't want it! read more

The deli service is TERRIBLE!! They are extremely slow, regardless if number of employees working and they are not pleasant to interact with. I waited 15 minutes in a line of 5 people that reduced by one in that time. I ended up skipping the deli altogether. read more

The tire center guys helped me out with a flat tire. I pulled into the store, they immediately helped me, very nice guys. My tire was repaired and it was reasonable. They could have easily taken advantage of an older woman and sold me a new tire and I wouldn't have known better. Big THANK YOU to these men.! read more

While I admit I will never pay a membership to shop I suppose it has it's advantages for people that like to buy in bulk or have a family the size of the Dugger's. For me personally it just doesn't make that much sense. To my father however it does as he comes here for lower prices on supplements he takes regularly. Members get coupon fliers but we found extras in the carts. Taking advantage of his membership I did come to get a case of Pedisure, a normally expensive item in the store running about $12.99 for a six pack. Here they had a case of 24 for $42 for a savings of about .42 cents per can. Not great but not bad either. Combined with the Bj's coupon for $7 off + a manufacturer's coupon for $3 (they let me use both) brought the price per bottle down considerably and worth the visit. While there I tried to find other things that I could save on but found nothing. The food was priced the same as Giant or slightly higher. Other items I didn't need that many of. I often get free trial memberships in the mail and a decade ago walked in and got a free one day pass when I needed something specific they had. Taking these methods into account I don't see why anyone would splurge and pay for a membership. If you go with someone as I did please note that only the member can check out. They also don't supply bags but have boxes you can grab to pack your loot yourself. Traffic on Centerville Rd is always a mess but with the light there it's easy to enter/exit. Be prepared to have your items checked by security upon leaving. Don't forget to double up on your coupons like I did for additional money off. read more

This company sucks. Every time I go to pickup a needed item, either it's out of stock or been moved elsewhere. If you shop per their coupons great, otherwise be warned prices are better online and they deliver to your home. Finally, their credit card is crap. The cash back only comes in increments of $20 and can only be redeemed at a BJ's by standing in line for a cashier. After a year I have cancelled my membership. read more

The words "HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE" do not begin to describe my experience with their tire center. I have a non-standard socket needed to remove my nice rims in order to replace my tires. I included it. I made it clear in THREE ways where the socket was: 1) I placed it in a clear ziploc bag labeled in permanent marker that it was the wheel socket and placed it in front of the shifter so they literally had to hit it with the shifter to move my Jeep to service it. 2) I wrote on the order paperwork I had to fill out with all the information on my Jeep, what tires I wanted, and a spot for comments where the socket was located....yes, the socket that I placed in plain sight. This paperwork had to be read to even know what tires I wanted put on, since their computer system is archaic. 3) I told a SERVICEMAN where it was. This wasn't just some clerk who sits at a computer. I had to wait like 10 minutes for him to come out of the garage and accept my paperwork with his still greasy hands. Yes, one of the guys changing tires in the back was told face-to-face where it was. Do you think they had a clue where my socket was? Absolutely not. I received a call in which a serviceman told me he could not service my vehicle without a socket, and there was none to be found. I explained exactly where to find it. Already a little annoyed, but I received no further call, so apparently they found it...the fourth time I made it clear where it was. But wait, there's more... I get there to retrieve my Jeep that evening. They pull it out front and tell me it's ready to go. I walk up to inspect it.... First, I discover that my Jeep looks as if it had been absolutely RANSACKED!!! Everything had been ripped out of: the glove compartment, the center console, and the toolbox in the back that is underneath the carpet where the jack and some Jeep tools are stored. NOTHING was put back, not even the carpet. This was considered an acceptable state to return my vehicle to me....THEY trashed it and did not even have the decency to put things back. But wait, there's more.... I look around at the tires. The rims that had been nice and shiny when I brought it in for new tires were completely slopped up with grease. Not just greasy fingerprints...I'm talking big gobs of grease on it. I get it, a shop is not a clean place, but this was WAAAAY beyond acceptable sloppiness. This was amateurish and an indication that someone takes absolutely NO pride in a job well done. But wait, there's more... I observe that not all of my lug nuts have even been put back on. I look around and find a lug nut on my passenger seat amongst my things that have all been ripped out of the various places in my Jeep when the serviceman ransacked it. I had already been through the line, paid up and ready to go, but I went back inside with the lugnut to inquire. I had to wait in a line of customers again, which was not helpful given the circumstances. (I would have preferred them to recognize that if I returned so quickly after having just been through the line, there was obviously something wrong and addressed me, but whatever, I'll pick my battles.) After it was finally my turn in line once again, the serviceman at the desk called to another serviceman from the garage to come and put the lugnut back on. No apology. No sense of urgency that they almost let a customer drive off their lot with wheels that were not fully attached as the manufacturer had intended, possibly putting their customer, customer's family, and other's on the road in danger. Nothing. I will never get tires at BJ's again. I had to clean up my slopped up rims and replace all of my tools and put my ransacked vehicle back together. In summary: There is NO attention to detail...."detail" in this case meaning how over-the-top explicit I was with where the non-standard socket was located. There is NO sense of pride in their work. There is NO sense of remorse that they did not even finish the job and put me, my family, and others in a potentially dangerous situation. read more

First attempt to order on-line and pick up order got a big fat F rating. After loading in the vehicle we found the order not complete. After spending over $500.00 this trip we where made to feel like thieves and they had to search our vehicles make sure we were not trying to steal the paper towels. After a half hour delay wee finally received our item. So much for saving time. This is a shame because we normally enjoy the store. Word to the wise take pictures of your cart before excepting. For the most part I really love BJ's. It is hard to beat the prices on lunch meat and fresh meats. Coffee, paper products, salad, milk and eggs are also priced very well along with many other items. Most times I would give 4 STARS. This 1 Star review is for the Tire Center. My wife recently took our son's car there to have a tire plugged. She made an appointment but when she arrived they acted very annoyed and made it seem like they didn't want to bother with this. They removed the tire located the nail and promptly said they would not fix it because it was to close to the sidewall. (on a previous visit (for my truck) they told me the same crap). We did not buy the tires there and BJ's suggested we take it to where we bought them (Tires Plus), maybe they would fix it. Tires Plus fixed the (less than 1yr old) tire promptly and said there was no reason BJ's should not have repaired it. If I was not forced to deal with these Jackwagons in the Tire Center to get my propane tanks filled I would not get within a hundred feet even if my hair was on fire and they had a hose running. If you need tires, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

THIS IS CONCERNING THEIR WHOLE ROAST TURKEY BREAST ONLY! I was excited to see whole roast turkey breast ,next to their Perdue roast chickens, and at $6.99, for 24 oz., not a bad price. I love turkey, But this was the worst turkey I've ever had, they roast the hell out of it, it was dry as a bone, it had NO flavor of turkey at all, bad ,bad, bad. Seeing as I'm here once a week for work, sometimes more I really enjoy the layout of this store. I know that sounds crazy but I do. When i have to get water and stuff its one of the first things I pick up since its along the edge. The lighter stuff is in the middle and towards the front. It makes shopping so much more streamline. The self check out is a wonderful thing. The lines can tend to get a bit long and being able to check yourself out is so nice. And the people who are there always come over and scan the heavy stuff so I don't have to do to much lifting. And lastly...who doesn't love samples? I mean i jave bought so much food for myself simply because they offered me a sample and I couldn't say no. read more

We have their credit card and the savings in gas and kick backs from the card pays the membership in a couple of months. This store has given me the opportunity to buy extras with my very tight budget. Before i started shopping here, treats for my family were rare--now I can often buy something extra. I like to combine coupons from the newspaper along with the abundance of coupons they provide to save a lot of money. (They let you do this! Who else does that?) Many of their product sizes are smaller than other warehouse stores, and you can even get as much cheese or lunch meat as you want--freshly sliced--from the deli counter, and it is a LOT cheaper than the grocery store. They have a nice bakery department with many selections of their own muffins, bagels (buy 6 or 9 and bag them yourself), cakes, cookies and breads. (try their sub rolls--really inexpensive--with lunch meat from the deli counter you can make your own subs for very little money!) You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables--many organic varieties are available. When you go, scan the aisles carefully because you never know what products they are eliminating that you can get for very little money. Last week I picked up some frozen strawberry yogurt for 99 cents and it doesn't expire until next year. Halloween and Christmas items are usually drastically reduced right before the holiday or immediately afterward. Returns are easy to make, and the employees are friendly. I buy gas here also. With the Bj's perks plan and the better membership--$75 a year if you get the auto-renewal Mastercard for BJ's ( you can also use other cards such as Visa--you just don't get the same rewards) --I get 5% back on all my purchases and save 10 cents a gallon on gas. They sometimes have extra savings deals where you can save an extra 5 cents a gallon on gas if you shop in the store first. My perks for this past year have amounted to over $200 back. I often buy the reduced price gift cards so my family can enjoy a night out with the money back. We have a family of four, and 4 adult meals in restaurants are very expensive! I have purchased the following things for very low prices: a Samsung tablet, 42 inch tv, a computer printer, tires for my son's car, mattress for my son and a Ninja blender. I often purchase presents here, and they have a nice-sized selection of greeting cards (Birthday, etc. ) for half price. You can find things such as cards that play music for $3 and up other cards are as low as a dollar. I also often buy name-brand clothing for incredible prices. I always look for the bargains. When my son needed business casual clothing for his new job after graduating from college, we bought most of his dress shirts at Bj's. The prices ran from $9.95 up. I rarely go to grocery stores anymore, but when I do, the prices shock me. I have been shopping here every week for four years. I wish I would have discovered this store sooner than I did. I have wasted so much money in grocery stores over the years. My only complaint is that if you purchase something online and wish to return it, you have to send it back. Huge fan of the prices, but I often wish they had more of a selection of certain things. For example, they only carry the pepporni french bread pizza from Red Barron, but I don't eat meet so I wish they carried the garlic and cheese ones. And they only carry one flavor of toaster strudels and one flavor of snack-pak pudding. But I do love the abundance of coupons that they always have, and the cheap gas prices (especially since my fiancee and I have the BJ's MasterCard to get the extra 10¢ off). The other wonderful thing about this particular BJ's is Mona! I think she might be a manager or a supervisor, and if she's not she definitely should be because this lady is amazing! She has a phenomenal work ethic, great sense of humor, and friendly personality. The way she handles a hundred things at once truly amazes me. She is always on top of her game and extremely helpful. Don't ever think of using there auto buying program, they will work real hard at denying you the promised and advertised perk. After weeks of emails they say they will make a bad situation right and mail me a gift card within two weeks. They never sent the gift card. Now they don't respond. I've been a member of BJ's since 1999 and I still look forward to my weekly visits every Tuesday. BJ's is a pay membership wholesale club, but it is open to everyone. I buy things ranging from boxes of gum and candy to large size purchases such as a kayak and my new 46" LCD HD TV. I've bought jeans, shirts, razors, toothpaste, water, telephones, a laptop computer, DVD's, books, and I do most of my grocery shopping there. They sell quality items at very good prices. Not to mention that their gas is usually 4 to 5 cents lower than the local gas stations. Since I joined in 1999 I've only returned a few things. When I say a few I mean, maybe 4 or 5 at most, and 3 of those were DVD's that I had previously bought that I forgot I already owned. (I have well over 1000, so once in a while I do forget something I already have.) On those rare occasions, I've had the receipt and the process has been hassle free. Most of the employees are very friendly and make the trip a pretty pleasurable experience. Even my worst interactions with the employees only consisted of blank expressions and the obvious 1000 yard stare of someone nearing the end of a shift. I've never had any employee actually be rude or even hostile to me, as I have at a few other retail stores. I'm generally not a "casual shopper" who goes to the mall just to walk around and look through the stores. I tend to be more of a "commando shopper" who knows what he wants, hits the store running, gets in, gets his item and gets out. At BJ's I do take my time and explore most, if not all, of the aisles to see what kind of bargains they may have. I also don't sign up for those club cards at the grocery stores, or the other retailers that have membership programs, but I pay for my membership at BJ's wholesale club, and I have no problem with it because I don't get baraged with junk mail from them selling my info. They send me a few coupon mailings that help me save even more money. I am fine with that kind of use of my info. BJ's is the only store I will honestly say that I really do look forward to visiting just to walk around and see what they have to offer. Well worth the cost of admission. read more
