So the following few days I called back to bring in my car for service. Craig reassured me that the brakes were not issue but other issues would be the issue and make the car unsafe to drive. They were kind enough to lend me a loaner car for the weekend, and to my surprise, I got a call Friday evening that my car was ready for a pick up! The whole team was super friendly, it's a family owned business and it shows. They have me a clear itemized breakdown of everything that needed work, no pressure or upselling and were very accommodating throughout the process. When she said it was her dad's car and she wasn't sure, he told her one item was "only an extra $14." He never told her the other services had separate charges or what they would cost. He had her sign a form to get started that didn't show prices, and she only found out the total after all the work was done. She's a minor and no one tried to contact a parent or give her an estimate before doing hundreds of dollars in add-ons. I've reached out to the company to dispute the charges. Or Route 64 Auto in Villa Park. Hell Even a jiffy lube isn't too far from this terrible shop. Unbelievable. I've never had a shop employee text me to bring work into their shop, more than once, that should of been my first red flag. Why are they so desperate for work? I had work done March 2019, about 1 year ago, in that year I have had the same initial repair corrected due once by them (under warranty) due to low quality parts used. Not to mention after I had them take care of the repairs, I had a different shop quote me significantly less. You can presume how frustrating it was to find out "Anthonys great prices and discounts", were a farce. That's what you get for not doing your research first... Now this is the 3'rd time the same problem is acting up. I called March 12, pre warranty expiration and bringing the car back to *this* shop, is not an option for many reasons. The "customer service" aka Anthony could value from investing into 'communications' classes. Me Being under pressure with needing my car fixed soon it's stressful, customer service position, we deal with clients on a spectrum of emotions. I get that... I've been on both ends. As customer sales/service, you've got to have tact and be composed. I couldn't believe I had to mediate the call and remind him, I'm the customer and he is customer service ...that he should be finding a way to keep business... not argue with the customer. Also, he should not be in a mechanic shop. At all. Not even a car sales man. This job just doesn't fit him at all. I had once called post the initial repair asking which wheel bearing had been fixed, to which he told me it was "non-specific". Another red flag. Go anywhere else. I'm fed up with the low quality part with over priced costs, expensive, on top of the excruciatingly bad customer service.

Over the last four and a half years I've brought in four different cars including family members cars and all have been handled with premium care. Jeff and Jim have always been overly communicative, never do any work that they don't talk to you and get your approval first, and their team does great work. The pricing is very fair. They will even give a new car a full inspection and give you honest feedback. We had a family member buy a car from Carvana that had some issues that were covered under warranty. CD Jr dealt with the third party completely and updated us every step of the way. If you want your car worked on by honest mechanics who won't talk down to you (a complaint my wife certainly and justifiably has) and treat you with respect, go to Jeff and the gang.

He asked me a couple of questions and told me what he thought was the problem and an approximate cost to repair. I said I would be there Monday morning. I arrived Monday morning and they drove my car around a tiny bit to see what was happening. I received a call a few minutes later and they told me what needed to be done (front brake pads and rotors) and the cost (which was what I was told on Saturday).
