Stay Away! I thought twice today about updating my review. It's all about quality. This is exactly why, I myself read reviews and leave reviews. I'd like to know that the establishments, especially the "mom and pop" places I invest my time and hard and money into, are quality. Well this place needs major quality control. Especially in its customer service and sales. #mortified I no longer live in the area but gladly can tell you that you are better off going to GoodYear Suburban Auto (off Lake Street a few blocks away). Or Route 64 Auto in Villa Park. Hell Even a jiffy lube isn't too far from this terrible shop. Unbelievable. I've never had a shop employee text me to bring work into their shop, more than once, that should of been my first red flag. Why are they so desperate for work? I had work done March 2019, about 1 year ago, in that year I have had the same initial repair corrected due once by them (under warranty) due to low quality parts used. Not to mention after I had them take care of the repairs, I had a different shop quote me significantly less. You can presume how frustrating it was to find out "Anthonys great prices and discounts", were a farce. That's what you get for not doing your research first... Now this is the 3'rd time the same problem is acting up. I called March 12, pre warranty expiration and bringing the car back to *this* shop, is not an option for many reasons. The "customer service" aka Anthony could value from investing into 'communications' classes. Me Being under pressure with needing my car fixed soon it's stressful, customer service position, we deal with clients on a spectrum of emotions. I get that... I've been on both ends. As customer sales/service, you've got to have tact and be composed. I couldn't believe I had to mediate the call and remind him, I'm the customer and he is customer service ...that he should be finding a way to keep business... not argue with the customer. Also, he should not be in a mechanic shop. At all. Not even a car sales man. This job just doesn't fit him at all. I had once called post the initial repair asking which wheel bearing had been fixed, to which he told me it was "non-specific". Another red flag. Go anywhere else. I'm fed up with the low quality part with over priced costs, expensive, on top of the excruciatingly bad customer service. read more

I had a weekend trip to Peoria, IL (6 hours round) and had the battery light activate on the way home; I made the call to Roselle Car Care, now Firestone. I dropped off at 10 am the next morning. I explained to Anthony that my 2005 300c was idling somewhat rough and was starting to hear a "whistling" sound with acceleration. Plus, the battery light and few other issues. Well, not good news. After an inspection and code analysis Anthony explained it completely and on a level I understood. Consequently a new alternator, serpentine belt, Napa 75 month battery and an EGR valve was needed. The work was completed by 4 PM and while it always hurts to pay out money for your car, it's a necessary evil. The discounts that Anthony applied were greatly appreciated. I can only imagine what Chrysler would have charged me. I have not posted a review lately but felt compelled to review here. I trust this auto repair as they are fair and professional. This Firestone employs the best mechanics I have ever dealt with. I'm not a fan of taking my car in for repairs, but when I must, I trust these guys implicitly. I am a man who knows little about cars other than what I learned in engine repair class in 8th grade. Sadly, that's not much because 1) we were mostly working with lawnmower engines which I understand are somewhat different from car engines and 2) I was busier sabotaging other classmates engines by stealing parts or putting sawdust in the gas tanks than actually paying attention to what I was supposed to learn. Sufficed to say, my lack of auto knowledge makes me an easy target for overpaying if I went to the wrong place. That, and I have learned that my car is a gold mine for auto mechanics- there are always multiple expensive things wrong with it. Essentially, should they desire, the guys at Firestone have the power to crush me financially in one fell swoop. Instead, they have helped educate me on what's wrong, repairs I can do without for now, charged very reasonable prices, shown quick turnaround times on parts and labor, and they've been friendly and patient through every repair. And there have been a few repairs. It may be because they know i will be back, and that it is only a matter of time. However, from my end, I see guys that go above and beyond for their clients, and if your car dies in the area, this is totally where you should take it. read more

They don't try to sell you things you don't need, and they do excellent work.I can't say enough about how well they treat me. They offer coupons and discounts, and you can't beat their prices. I was a Goodyear Car Care guy until the place changed hands and became a Suburban Tire. I had one experience there and did not want to go back. I brought my older SUV in for an engine issue and they diagnosed the issue within a few minutes and had options for how to fix it. They also gave me a list of items to consider but did not try and pressure me into changing anything at that time - merely so I knew other repairs that might come up. I made an appointment for an oil change at 9am. I show up at 9, and they tell me it will be a 1 hour wait. They wasted my time, effort and gas money. Also I was greeted by the guy at the counter with "what did you need" that is how he welcomed me to firestone. Be smart and don't go here. After recommendation from a friend, I took it here and was so very pleased with the price I was quoted. They were very polite and helpful.
