As someone who's always lived in San Bernardino and one who also attended Loma Linda Academy I always wanted to try this place. Now that I work over here it's one of the places I frequent. You can't beat the value or the quality! I honestly truly like this place better and than Subway! I always get the Turkey Avocado Bacon and it always hits the spot!

Came here for a spinach wrap and was very disappointed. The wrap was very thin and hardly any meat & veggies. You can see in the pics how small it was. I called and spoke to the owner, she said that how they come and they are sizes I'm like what? Wraps shouldn't come in sizes that don't make sense , I understand sub sandwiches do. Because of the bread sizes but wraps? I came in 2 months ago and my wrap was a good amount of meat & veggies that's why I came back today & I ordered for my daughter the same only to find how small and hardly any meat & veggies the wrap had we are both very disappointed and will not be back!!!! Can someone help me out to another place that's make good fully made wraps!!! FYI The owner was very rude on the phone & would not make it right. DON'T EAT HERE!!!!

On Yelp & Google maps, it says that they are open at 10 am. They said that they're open at 11 am. On top of that, the open sign is illuminated with the fans inside are running. Other than that, I got the 6 inch turkey on a roll, chips & a soda. The food was not bad for the price. I will be back.

By far one of the best sandwich shops I've ever tried, EVER! I only paid $8.00 and some change for an 8" turkey bacon and pepperoni sandwich with a bag of chips. You wouldn't even be able to get that at subway or fire house subs! The layout of the restaurant honestly makes me feel like I'm on a movie set, sort of like criminal minds if you will. Thanks for making my experience GREAT. I'll definitely be a frequent customer!

Turkey and avocado sandwich was mediocre at best. Not quality meat and the cheese I got was processed not real Swiss which was already an upcharge. Charged extra for squaw bread which wasn't listed anywhere on the menu only their bread choices. Bread was the only thing that was good. Such a disappointment

Waited a little for them but worth the wait. They were delicious. Bread was soft and everything was flavorful. There wasn't anything we didn't enjoy about the subs or the service. The place is outdated but it's charming and it gave it a vibe. Would come back when passing through again.

The sandwiches aren't bad. Certainly not the worst I've had and definitely not the best. The thing about the place is that it is VERY run down. Dirty old carpeting, seats taped with duck tape, dirty tables/windows and a general feeling of unkept and being dirty. This applies to both the inside and the outside. The whole place is kind of gross. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

Probably one of the best turkey and avocado sandwiches I've ever had. And that should say a lot, because how does one simply mess up a turkey and avocado sandwich...? The answer is you don't. But at BK subs, not only do they do it right, I'm not sure if it's because of the ingredients, the type of bread they use, or if it's the extra love, support, and care that they add into the sandwich that makes it taste oh so much better. I'm not a sub-sandwich expert, but I will say for the price and the taste, BK subs has always been consistent. I was able to afford their sandwiches when i was back in highschool, and as an adult coming back to the IE from the bay, this sandwich will always be my WELCOME HOME. My only issue is that it does look a bit run down. It's an old local spot, but it still feels very welcoming and a good area for some catching up conversation that you can have with an old friend. Although outdated in looks, the taste will remain timeless. Please give them a chance and continue to support your local businesses. *keep in mind, they are still humans and it's not always going to be like immediate fast food. They'll take their time, do their best, and deliver a good sub. Reminder that we're all only human, so spread kindness and try to spread positivity! read more

So I figured I try this place out after doing some thrift shopping next door at UReach Thrift Shop. The location is off a busy intersection close to the freeway. The service was great, the employee at the register seemed like he was training. I hope he does well. As for what I ordered, I had the veggie turkey sandwich combo that came with veggies you'd get at subway plus some veggie turkey. My combo included a bag of chips. The sandwich was great! The bread compared to subway, was really delicious. The veggies were fresh too! Had a nice conversation with someone who seemed like the owner. If I'm ever hungry again while I'm thrift shopping, I'll come back! read more

Came here for a spinach wrap and was very disappointed. The wrap was very thin and hardly any meat & veggies. You can see in the pics how small it was. Stopped in today for a couple sandwiches. We will NEVER go back. The nasty woman behind the counter displayed such abhorrent behavior towards the other employees and non-white customers. Her openly vile and disgusting racist comments ruined the whole experience. Her lack of consideration towards a wheelchair-bound customer left my daughter and I shocked, especially when she suggested that he had stolen to the wheelchair to get sympathy. Decently good subs. I got the 1/2lb roast beef sub and it was pretty filling. They dont skimp out on the meat. The sub was fully loaded and was pretty good. They have lots of choices on the menu and they also cater to vegetarians. My friend got the veggie turkey sub. I love the small town vibes you get when you dine in. The staff is friendly. We have eaten here twice and will keep coming back. read more

Stopping in for a bite to eat, this was my first visit. Greeted by the friendly staff, the place was winning bonus points with me. The place was clean and looked as if everything, including the signage was all in it's place. WiFi is offered. Ordering a sandwich, I chose an egg salad sandwich. Most places don't serve egg salad, so I was excited to try. Basic egg salad sandwich has iterations all around the world, but it's generally built from a jumble of cooked, chopped eggs, seasoned and bound with mayonnaise. However, at BK Subs, you have option to put other ingredients in your sandwich. I chose olives and cheese. Freshly made, it's delicious, and it doesn't need to be pretty. In fact, it almost never is. I also ordered a broccoli cheddar soup which I could've done without. The soup was watered down and didn't taste creamy as I would expect from this kind of soup. However, it was flavorful. The building is old, which used to be a drive thru Alta Dena convenient store. The inside I feel could use some help. It doesn't look like a sandwich shop, but rather maybe a truck stop snack shop. The painted walls and theme look out of place. You can't help to think, "what is going on here?!" read more

I love Subs of USA and I just found out that this place has the same menu (the names of sandwiches might be different). I think I understood that they are a franchise but the Yucaipa location didn't change its name or something like that. The employees are so nice and one of them recognized me from frequenting the Subs of USA location. The price is reasonable and I'm totally coming here often because it's so close to my house and I love their sandwiches. I, of course, ordered the Avocado Vegetarian which I love because it comes with olives and pickles. My husband ordered a turkey sandwich and loved it too. Lovely fresh flowers on the outside of the building, crisp and clean interior, plenty of seating in indoors and outdoors. We chose the covered outdoor section, because of the weather was lovely today. My iced lavender latte was phenomenal, perfectly sweetened. My friend had the iced dirty chai, which she loved, as well. The menu was so vast that we had difficulty choosing what we wanted to eat. I've already determined that I will go back with my husband to try more items! But for today, I ordered the mushroom Swiss Panini, and she ordered the Caprese on a ciabatta bun. We chose these sandwiches already knowing that we would swap a half to be able to try both! We were not disappointed. The bread on the mushroom Swiss was buttery toasted goodness, and cheese to mushroom ratio was just right. The Caprese was warm and savory, and the balsamic onion jam was absolutely delicious. Very pleased with our visit overall!

Ryan is still there making sandwiches and (Ron I think) is still there! But that cashier chick is gone! She used to jump in and make hoagies too. The restaurant was very busy, as would be usual for a Friday evening. We placed our order at the counter with the sweetest young woman behind the counter. SHe was patient and explained all the different options to us. It appeared there was only one other person working in the back. Needless to say, orders were deep. There was a man (we assumed he was a food delivery driver), who was visibly upset at the staff because part of his order wasn't ready. He was getting loud with the sweet young woman behind the counter. The young man who was working in the kitchen came out to have an explaination of the situaiton to the angry man. It took a while for us to get our order. I'd say at least 30 minutes. Once we were called up, we just picked up and left. We didn't check our order before we took off. We got back home in Riverside, unloaded everything, and realized one meal was missing from the order. I decided to call the store to let them know. I spoke to Joey, who identified himself at the night manager. I told him how the young woman behind the counter never lost her cool and how busy the restaurant was. Joey apologized for the failure and offered to make it right. We worked together to come to an agreement where we would come back another day and they would replace the missing meal. We came back on the day we said we would. The young man behind the counter didn't seem to know what I was talking about even though Joey said he'd leave a detailed note. No matter, I had my receipt with me and presented it along with a short story of the situation. The young man placed an order in the kitchen for us. We had our replacement meal in about 10 minutes. Honestly people... be nice. It's not hard. Things happen. Just use the nice words you have in your vocabulary and let the restaurant attempt to make it right. We'll be back. Dave's is good stuff.
