    Biscuit and gravy entrée

Friendly staff, small establishment but American diner feel. The food was absolutely delicious. The biscuits and gravy taste like my grandma used to make me. I haven't been impressed with a breakfast diner in a while. I would definitely encourage a visit.

Man... disappointed honestly. First, I need to mention we have been here before and enjoyed it for the quality of food, quantity and pricing. But we went yesterday & man did it really let us down & we probably will not be returning. First, the restaurant was super dark & dingy, & after looking at the ceiling, I realized it was a popcorn crawling with black dust and dirt all over it, especially in the corners and near vents. Then, there was a woman sitting down with her dog in the restaurant, while this wouldn't be a big deal for most, I think it speaks to the hygiene level & care for the restaurant, ESPECIALLY when the floor isn't hard wood or tile or anything, it's carpet. Next, we ordered two BELGIAN waffles & got two small, thin, square pancakes. Just look at the photo. Like what? I paid nearly $15 for that? No, just no. Then I also got a breakfast burrito with hardly any eggs, while I did get a decent amount of bacon (protein choice) there was hardly any eggs, potatoes, & cheese in it. I ended up taking it to go & gave it to a homeless gentleman sitting outside. Man... What a hard let down from our last experience. What a shame.

Frenchtoast breakfast and steak and eggs plate

Cute and homey old school diner right in downtown Redlands. The food was great. I got the French toast breakfast and it was delicious. My husband got the steak and eggs and he said "it was good ". The service is very welcoming and on top of getting whatever you need.

Excellent service, great food with great ingredients. Charming and welcoming vibe, and the waitress was very nice. Unfortunately the bean rice and cheese burrito I ordered didn't agree with my stomach, this can be attributed to my current sickness. I proceeded to the restroom (pictured) which was extremely clean and well maintained. Overall great experience would dine again.

I highly recommend McDuffs. The food is always delicious and it comes out relatively quickly. It's always tricky to find the right time to go to this restaurant because sometimes it'll be very full other times you have more space the service was impeccable and I will come back again. I highly recommend it for. It's nice warm ambience.

My husband and I recently had breakfast for the first time at McDuff's a few weeks ago and had a great experience. The food was good and the service was fantastic. We were originally going to take our meal to go, but after receiving it, the staff was extremely kind to let us eat our food on site, tending to us as if we were regular dine in customers. We came in on a weekday for breakfast and they were busy. This is definitely a popular spot in town. Our order consisted of the short stack of pancakes and the breakfast burrito with chorizo. The portions were generous, despite us technically placing our order to go. The short stack had large, tasty pancakes and the breakfast burrito was big and bursting with all of the included fixings with tons of chorizo. We left with smiles and full stomachs. Overall, our first trip McDuff's was positive. We're looking forward to returning soon and trying more things on their menu.

Mcduffs was great! It is very small inside with not a ton of seating but it is clean and well taken care of. We were walking around downtown Redlands looking for a place that had breakfast or sandwiches and we found one with both in Mcduffs. We shared the cinnamon roll which was great! It was hot and soft with just the right amount of frosting on it. I had the breakfast burrito with avocado as my protein and wow was it great! The eggs and potato's were cooked perfectly did not dominate the burrito. It was well balanced between all the flavors and it came with a free side of sour cream which I loved. My gf had the cold vegetarian sandwich which was excellent as well. It has three cheeses on it (American, Jack, and cream cheese) which we loved and was also a very good sandwich that had mushrooms, sprouts, and avocado on it. The service was great as it is just two waitresses serving, cleaning, and seating the whole restaurant. You could tell that they cared about the restaurant and your experience and meal. I imagine that they normally have an extra worker helping during weekends but for a busy weekday our two waitresses did fantastic. Also everything was so fast. From the time we sat down to paying the check it was 30 minutes. Overall I would definitely recommend Mcduffs to anyone in Redlands not looking to wait a long time for a great meal. I will definitely be back Mcduffs to explore some more of your menu.

McDuffs is a cute, cozy, home style restaurant in downtown Redlands. Compared to come of the most popular breakfast spots, I consider McDuffs the hidden gem. It feels like an old diner/ coffee shop vibes with friendly staff and great food. The breakfast is a traditional American breakfast with all the things you need and very reasonable pricing! My favorite is the scramble (pictured), with egg whites! The only downside I will say is the lack of coffee drinks, besides hot coffee and an iced coffee (which is really the hot coffee with some ice). But that doesn't take away from all the things that makes McDuffs great. Definitely still my go to for a cozy, fast, convenient yet yummy breakfast!

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

How have I lived in Redlands this long and somehow missed Olive Avenue Market?? Truly baffling…read more This place is tucked into a quiet South Redlands neighborhood, surrounded by old Victorian homes and lush lawns, and it feels like a tiny European corner café just... existing quietly and beautifully. Inside is all reclaimed wood and cozy tables, people working on laptops, the coolest Redlands City Limits sign, kids flipping through board games and books in the corner, soft chatter, good energy. Pro tip: get in line as soon as you get there because it fills up fast and the line can absolutely go out the door. I had the chai latte (so good), a cheese danish (dangerous), and an Everlasting Ferments kombucha...the Habanero Ginger is a sleeper hit. You can also snag breakfast burritos if you're lucky (they sell out), or freshly made stuffed waffles from a vendor outside, which somehow makes the whole experience feel extra charming. There are cute little café tables all around and a tucked-away, walled patio in the back that's perfect for bigger groups. Already planning future coffee dates. Late to the party, but fully committed now!
