I can't remember the last time I went to a Black Angus steakhouse but I was very impressed by the service and the food. The place itself is a standard steakhouse with both prices and decor that reflect it. Upon sitting down we were served bread that they cut in a very interesting pattern. It made pulling apart the bread to share a funny game of who gets the ridiculously small or large piece. I will note that the second piece of bread we got came out very fresh and hot, but the weird pattern cut they made still existed. The baked potato soup was also a nice spin on having everything you would expect in a baked potato somehow put into a soup form. As for the main entree, the ribeye steak was cooked correctly (medium rare) and the cowboy butter was accurate, though it made me realize that either I don't like cowboy butter that much or that putting it onto ribeye doesn't really improve it. Also for the broccoli as a side, I was a little caught off guard that it was only 3 pieces. Really great service though.

We purchased a Groupon for The Campfire Feast for two. We chose the wagon wheel for our appetizer, prime rib with a loaded baked potato and green salad for one of the entrees and grilled salmon with cheesy au gratin potatoes and a green salad for the second entree. For the dessert my husband chose a custard dessert. My in laws ordered a steak burger with onion rings, and grilled salmon with cheesy au gratin potatoes. It was lackluster. The prime rib wasn't seasoned, the grilled salmon was dry, the service was slow, the waitress was overwhelmed and the ambience is dark. Upon entering the restaurant through the front door, the carpet was tired and worn, dirty and in need of replacing. The restaurant needs renovated and updated, the menu should be refreshed. Truly a dissatisfying experience. This restaurant has gone downhill since I've eaten there and it's been 9 years or more. I don't recommend going here. After the Groupon was deducted from our tab, we paid $99.00 plus a tip. Terrible! We would have been better off fixing the meal at home for a fraction of the cost.

This is the "rare" steak with mushrooms. I know right. Overcooked and not mushrooms. It is a nasty mess.

So I ordered rare steak with potatoes and mushrooms, what I got was beef jerky with really bad Mac n cheese and blue cheese. It was very bad. I would have been embarrassed to send it.

We haven't been to this location in over a decade and decided on a whim to stop in for a late lunch. When we walked in it was pretty empty and the hostess MIA. We waited for a few minutes and when she appeared she quickly apologized for the wait as she was cleaning something up. We were seated and given menus to look over while waiting for our server. Within moments we had our drink order in. We decided to order the dinner for two which included the wagon wheel as one of the appetizer options. We both ordered steaks, our sides and cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious and we left so full. Our server was friendly and efficient. It was a nice , quiet and relaxing lunch. I forgot to take a picture of our main courses lol but just know It was tasty. The mashed potato's creamy, steak not chewy and salads nice and chilled.

As always Love it!! I've been going to Black Angus since I was really little. (back when I would call it Black Animals) I've always loved the molasses bread and we always get the Wagon Wheel Sampler. Mom would take the left ovwr buffalo chicken to have as a sandwich and now it's my turn to carry on the tradition. I was so surprised by how busy it was tonight but Dad and I were in no rush. We had a lovely server named Lisa, who was a bit busy but we were happy to sit and chat. We got the dinner for two with the New York Strip and my God that was the best steak I've had in a while. Of course with mushrooms. Can't wait until the asparagus is back in season since that's our favorite but loved it all the same!

Lisa, Thank you for such an enjoyable experience! Your knowledge of the menu, and suggestions, made ordering easy. You created such a warm and friendly environment. The restaurant was clean and had nice decor.

lack Angus - Disappointing From Start to Finish We decided to give Black Angus another try, but this visit confirmed why we won't be coming back. From the moment we sat down, the service was slow and unorganized. It took almost 15 minutes before our waitress even came by to introduce herself, and another 10 minutes after that just to bring our drinks and bread. We ordered the Campfire Feast for Two along with two kids' meals. The setup seemed simple enough--potato skins, a New York strip, a filet, mac and cheese with broccoli, and a kids' steak with salad. But the timing was all over the place. Our soup and salad showed up before our appetizer, and then the appetizer came out right before our entrées. We asked twice for extra ranch and never got it. When our meals finally arrived, every steak was overcooked. Mine was completely brown throughout. I let our waitress know, and her only response was, "We'll make you a new one," with no apology at all. I also asked for a drink refill, and she took my glass but didn't bring it back for nearly 20 minutes. My replacement steak arrived before my drink did. When I said thank you, her only reply was a flat "mhm." She eventually brought the drink back after I had to ask again. What really surprised me was that no manager ever came by to check in or apologize, even after the issues with the steak. On a Saturday night, the restaurant was half empty--and now I understand why. We've tried giving this location multiple chances, but for the price, you can easily find better food and much better service elsewhere. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else.

The food as most often is good but pricey. Julie had a late doc appt and we decided to do black angus or Good China. At BA usually order a small filet and a salad. The stuffed baked potato is worth getting even later as a snack. Julie likes the dinner salad with grilled chicken. So the menu was updated . Julie likes the grilled chicken entree salad ( it became evident that was no longer on the menu). I want a small Filet and asparagus with the tossed house salad . And Lagunitus IPA. Thank you for bringing back in bottles the cans are not a good place for this IPA. Our waitress did not seem to be familiar with the new menu and we weren't familiar with she lnew or didnt know. I really wanted a rare small filet a crab cake and asparagus Well I got a good tossed salad with great house dressing. My entree was 2 crab cakes and grilled asparagus. Julie ordered a grilled veggie appetizer which was 3 Brussels sprouts and small bits of sweet potatoes. Cost of 18.00 for the 3 brussel sprouts! outrage but to try it. So Julies entree was two grilled chicken breast pieces by themselves on an empty otherwise plate.(!) Julie had some chicken and their great bread. I was never asked for my frequent diner number but was able to add a bit out of sequence. The total bill was about 62.00 With my discount it was 40.. so I just gave her 50 and thanked them and left with our leftovers. Not so bad? Well the entire order was just off because the staff was unfamiliar with the menu, the diner loyalty club application of points etc.

First time visiting Black Angus Steakhouse with my fiancé and daughter, and it was a great experience from start to finish! We had a reservation and even though we were about 10 minutes late, we were seated right away without any issues. They were super accommodating, offering a high chair or booster seat for our daughter, and our drink orders were taken promptly. We went with the Dinner for Two special -- solid choice, everything was cooked well and tasted great. Our daughter ordered the cheeseburger sliders with French fries, but I think her favorite part of the meal might've been the fresh bread and butter -- she couldn't get enough! A special shout-out to our server Lori, who was absolutely fantastic. She checked in on us regularly, kept our drinks full, and brought such a positive, warm energy to the table. Her service really elevated the whole experience. Do NOT skip the Hot Honey Bacon Brussels Sprouts! Honestly, I could've made a meal out of just those and been totally satisfied. Sweet, savory, with a bit of heat -- they were amazing. Would definitely come back. Great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere for families.

First time visiting because we had a gift card. Took a while to get service after we sat and it was definitely slow throughout our stay but food was good. I ordered their special, the fall trio for $19.99 which was a great deal! 6 ounce steak, two sides, 4 grilled shrimp & 4 fried shrimp. I asked it cooked medium but it was definitely well done. Also a bit tougher than I prefer but it had great flavor. Green beans and baked potato was delicious, as were the shrimp. And the cocktail sauce was fantastic! Hubby ordered a 14 ounce NY strip, potato & wedge. He seemed to enjoy his meal as well.

I love how Shawn, at the Glendale, AZ location cares enough about his restaurant to monitor, and respond to, comments from his dining public. My wife and I also love this place and are curious as to whether anyone has heard when it might reopen?

I checked in with the front-end person to inform them of my arrival and reservation. She found my name and informed me that the dining room was not yet open and that it would be open at 4pm. There were others waiting as well. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and upon my return there were others waiting too. A few minutes after 4pm they began calling names. All names were called by last name. Everyone was called and seated, including those that arrived after me. I was the last remaining person to be seated. They finally called me by my first name and took me over to be seated. They attempted to seat my right next to a large party. I requested that I be placed away stating that I did not want to be next to the group. She replied that they had no other servers and it may be a while. Within moments she sat me one table away. Why was I the last to be seated? The server finally came over and began his routine. I didn't like how he made sure to state over and over how the sides are not included and they all cost extra. I assure you that I can afford to eat at your establishment. He was very set on pushing the del monico steak. I had already stated that I wanted the Ribeye. I agreed to listen to the del monico explanation where he shared that the filet had no fat and the ribeye had lots of fat. The del monica was right in the middle. After the sales pitch, I was again set on the Ribeye. Not sure that he agreed with my choice, because he continued by stating that I must like my steak with lots of fat. The order was placed, not to his liking yet I was there for my enjoyment. Along with the steak I ordered a cup of clam chowder and side of asparagus. The clam chowder was not as flavorful as I had hoped for. The asparagus was under prepared. It was as if I was eating them raw, very crunchy. They did have nice flavor though. The server was informed that I was there for a Ribeye and a specialty drink. We had already discussed the steak so now for the drink. When I asked about the drinks, he just showed me the menu. I had already seen the menu on both sides yet I wasn't sure what drink I wanted. I explained again that I wasn't sure, yet I was hoping for a specialty drink. By this time other places begin suggesting specialty drinks based on my liking. That is the case when I visit Capital Grill in Scottsdale. Now when I visit there the server knows my drink. Today this server only stated that they have a full bar so once I decide I can order. So he was not helpful at all in that area of the restaurant. I thought a server would be knowledgeable enough to be able to make suggestions or recommendations and advise & inform me about the bar. What are the customer favorites? What has the bar come up with that customers like most? I saw on the website some drinks that looked interesting, yet I never saw any names attached to them. The server never came back after taking my order unless flagged by me. First, I called him when I had to show him the steak asking if that was Medium well. He stated no. Second was when I called him over to ask for a to go box for my steak. By 5pm I was not enjoying myself, so I decided to depart. The steak had to be sent back two times. The first after asking the server is this Medium well? He noticed how rare it was and took the steak back. When it came back a female in tan brought it back and asked me to check it. I cut it and again it was still rare. She picked it up asking if I wanted her to cook up a fresh steak. Without hearing my reply, she departed with the steak. Upon her return I noticed that she brought back the same steak. I cut into it and it was ok enough. I just wanted to eat. The steak was not as perfect as I had hoped for even after the trip back to the kitchen two times. That was the reason that I was at a so-called high-end restaurant, I wanted to enjoy a high-quality steak prepared perfectly with outstanding texture and taste. That was not the case here. The steak was a bit tough and chewy. I have returned a steak a few times but never twice at the same place. Doesn't the cook know when the steak is prepared as ordered? To order a steak at Texas Roadhouse means you will get exactly what you ordered with a very high 90 plus percent of the time. Not one person stopped by my table to ask how everything was going or how I was. Every place else I have visited at least the server will ask. Wasn't there a manager making rounds checking on their restaurant? This place showed me they just don't care about people or only the select people maybe. As a Veteran I don't ask for much, just treat me with dignity and respect. I remained calm and was trying to enjoy the meal. Yet at my age and sitting there by myself on my birthday the only thing I wanted was a fabulous meal. For a month prior to my birthday, I began looking for the restaurant I wanted to visit fo

I checked us in for our reservation and the hostess welcomed us in, then promptly took us to the table that had been beautifully prepared for our dining experience. She asked if the lighting was too dim, but it was perfect. Every staff member was dressed neatly and welcomed us as we walked by. No staff members were running around frantically, and I could tell they are staffed amazingly well. So organized and kind, genuinely smiling at us. I could tell that anyone would be willing to help us, if we needed them! Our waiter, Daniel, came over and again, welcomed us. He let us know the specials of the night and how dinner will be served. Let us know not to touch the 500 degree plates when they arrived. He took out drink orders and answered any question we had. He promptly came back with drinks and fresh, hot rolls!! Daniel took our dinner orders. We all sat and visited while waiting, enjoying our drinks and the hot rolls. Dinner was served on, as promised, hot plates!! Then, they served each of us the crème brûlée corn. All of us that ordered meat, asked for medium rare and we were not disappointed!! Our meats were spot on!!! Perfection!!! The petite filet mignon were very juicy and delicious, as was the New York strip. The Crispy Hasselback Potatoes were so good, especially with the topping. The Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs were so good!!! I feel like our meals were simple yet divine!! After we enjoyed dinner, we were served the Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake, on the house!! What a nice touch!! So yummy and it felt guilty eating such a fabulous dessert!! We all shared it! All in all, I wish I could give 10/10 stars!! Such a wonderful dinner experience!! The service was unmatched. From the Valet parking to the front desk. Also, our server was the absolute best! I felt like there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for us. He was very happy and upbeat. I think his name was J. He is a big part of the reason the visit was so special. The food was mostly excellent. I got a petite filet and lobster tail with Caesar salad and fried brussel sprouts. I do love them crunchy and they were. The salad barely had any dressing. It would have been better with a little more. My fault for not asking. Now the steak; my whole reason for the trip. Honestly, a little disappointing. The cut was beautifully tender. That why I love a good filet. Unfortunately, there was very little caramelization on the outside. I would have enjoyed more. Also, there didn't seem to be very much seasoning. I like it a little more on the salty side, but I am sure others don't. I'm sure I could request it next time. Last, the lobster tails made up for any possible shortcomings in anything else. It is rare, that I have one as perfect as these were. Absolute heaven! Sure, I'll be back. I know exactly how to order my perfect meal now. Stellar job folks!

The music was Bad Bunny themed on this Saturday so we all got our dance on. I enjoyed the huge breakfast burrito, it was full of deliciousness, papas, eggs, pico and Chipotle sauce. My wife enjoyed her waffle with everything in the side and they offered softened butter. The endless mimosas were $25 per person and it was definitely worth it. We requested a watermelon sauce in the side and it was a $1. We all left happy full and with good energy.

The Scene I was genuinely excited to visit The Lola. A week…read morebefore our trip, I made a reservation for a coworker's going-away dinner while several of us were in town from across the country. Based on the photos online, it looked like the perfect place for our group to gather. I confirmed my reservation through both the email and text reminders. On the day of our reservation, another partner agency happened to be in town and wanted to join us. Since the website wouldn't let me modify the reservation, I called four times after they opened to see if I could add a few more people. Unfortunately, no one ever answered the phone. We decided to arrive early and ask in person. The Service When we arrived, the restaurant was absolutely packed. The hostess told us we were welcome to walk through the bar to see if we could find a table ourselves, but that they were extremely busy and likely wouldn't have anything available. After looking around, we came back and asked if the patio was an option since the misters made it surprisingly comfortable despite the Arizona heat. We were told the patio was for reservations only. When I reminded the hostess that we had a reservation, the explanation suddenly changed to, "We're on an event menu tonight." She handed me the menu while I stood at the host stand, walked away, and never really explained what that meant for our reservation or whether we would actually be seated. When she returned, instead of offering a wait time or another solution, she suggested we try Thirsty Lion down the sidewalk instead. At that point, it became clear that our reservation wasn't going to be honored. Parting Thoughts I completely understand that restaurants get busy, especially during major events. What disappointed me wasn't the crowd--it was having a confirmed reservation, receiving multiple confirmation requests, making several unanswered phone calls beforehand, and ultimately being left without a table or a meaningful explanation.

We had a party of 10 and it was so fun. We all had drinks a some people ordered food. Due to party size there was auto gratuity and only 4 cards max. The bar is in the basement of the hotel. When we got there though it wasnt very clear that it was there. We got there a little early but the accommodated us nicely. Originally there was going to be 9 people but I asked day of event if I could bring another person and they said yes. The drinks were so good. Th divine feminine tasted like Jamaica drink with the hibiscus. Then I had the happy birthday Mr. President. Oh. My. God. It didn't even taste like alcohol it tasted like vanilla ice cream I'm so serious. It was delicious. Then I had the siren drink. That one wasn't bad at all. We all had a great time and shared laughs and everything. I love the setting of it though. It's a bit dark so we had to use phone lights to see the menu. But it feels like stepping into a whole new world once you enter. I think it's perfect for hanging out. Date night. Anniversary dinner. All of it. Our server was nice. Very friendly. I think he could use a little more on his hospitality just because sometimes I feel like he didn't know what to say exactly. A little disappointed that there wasn't really anything special for a birthday though. Not even a little card on the table that said happy birthday. Just a thought. Other fine dining establishments I've been in did.

Rough Rider has been through some changes that I find disappointing. When we were seated, I asked…read moreour server if they still have happy hour and he said he wasn't sure if we were still within the happy hour window - it was 3:30 PM. He then confirmed we were still within the happy hour window and offered to bring us a menu. They used to have an extensive happy hour menu featuring several drinks and food items and now their "happy hour menu" consists of a cheeseburger for $22. Not sure that that really constitutes as a happy hour menu... I asked him why they changed the menu and he put up his hands as if to say he's not to blame and said he doesn't have anything to do with those decisions. He said that "management decided to make a few substitutions but they're pretty good" and didn't provide any further elaboration. I ordered the appetizer lamb lollipops which had four small pieces for $25. My friend decided to try the "happy hour" cheeseburger and he said it was good but it did appear a bit overpriced for an average burger with a pretty hefty serving of french fries. I really wasn't impressed by the quality of the food, the portion size, the price, or the service. Unfortunately, I'll be taking Rough Rider off my list of regular places i frequent and restaurants I recommend to others.
