We chose the wagon wheel for our appetizer, prime rib with a loaded baked potato and green salad for one of the entrees and grilled salmon with cheesy au gratin potatoes and a green salad for the second entree. For the dessert my husband chose a custard dessert. My in laws ordered a steak burger with onion rings, and grilled salmon with cheesy au gratin potatoes. It was lackluster. The prime rib wasn't seasoned, the grilled salmon was dry, the service was slow, the waitress was overwhelmed and the ambience is dark. Upon entering the restaurant through the front door, the carpet was tired and worn, dirty and in need of replacing. The restaurant needs renovated and updated, the menu should be refreshed. Truly a dissatisfying experience. This restaurant has gone downhill since I've eaten there and it's been 9 years or more. I don't recommend going here. After the Groupon was deducted from our tab, we paid $99.00 plus a tip. Terrible! We would have been better off fixing the meal at home for a fraction of the cost. read more

Fid the deal for 2. So for our starter we got the spinach dip and it was good. Wish the chips were a bit different. We both got filet mignon and you can chose 2 sides. Well, we have always loved the food here and the steaks are still great, but the ambience and dirt and grime everywhere is really, really gross now. This place should be shut down, really. There is mold and things growing in the bathrooms, the vents look very gross and crusted with dirt and mold, the chandelier never dusted, the booths falling apart...and dirty dishes, glasses and silverware. Sadly, they've lost our business, they need to completely renovate our shut down. read more

We decided to come here for dinner on New Years Day. They seemed to be short staffed since it took about 20 minutes to finally get a server to the table. We ordered drinks and appetizers while we looked at the menu. Once we did order the food came out in an acceptable amount of time. I ordered the rare prime rib and while it looked pink it was overdone and dry. I've eaten at Black Angus several times and never had this experience before. The manager did come over and apologize for the slow service and comped us 20% without us even complaining. Props to him! We haven't been to this location in over a decade and decided on a whim to stop in for a late lunch. When we walked in it was pretty empty and the hostess MIA. We waited for a few minutes and when she appeared she quickly apologized for the wait as she was cleaning something up. We were seated and given menus to look over while waiting for our server. Within moments we had our drink order in. We decided to order the dinner for two which included the wagon wheel as one of the appetizer options. My husband and I had an impromptu dinner on a Wednesday. We had a wonderful meal. The waiter, David was attentive, engaging, and funny. He also made great suggestions for dessert. As always Love it!! I've been going to Black Angus since I was really little. (back when I would call it Black Animals) I've always loved the molasses bread and we always get the Wagon Wheel Sampler. Mom would take the left ovwr buffalo chicken to have as a sandwich and now it's my turn to carry on the tradition. I was so surprised by how busy it was tonight but Dad and I were in no rush. Our first time here in years. We went for lunch 'cause we had a gift card and it did not disappoint! the food selection on the lunch menu was great and priced fairly. We had bbq burgers, fries, a salad and loaded potato skins. The meat was delicious! And the portions are big--we brought 1/2 home for a second meal. And our server, Alvin, was a pro! He anticipated our needs and kept us informed. lack Angus - Disappointing From Start to Finish We decided to give Black Angus another try, but this visit confirmed why we won't be coming back. From the moment we sat down, the service was slow and unorganized. It took almost 15 minutes before our waitress even came by to introduce herself, and another 10 minutes after that just to bring our drinks and bread. We ordered the Campfire Feast for Two along with two kids' meals. The setup seemed simple enough--potato skins, a New York strip, a filet, mac and cheese with broccoli, and a kids' steak with salad. But the timing was all over the place. Our soup and salad showed up before our appetizer, and then the appetizer came out right before our entrées. We asked twice for extra ranch and never got it. When our meals finally arrived, every steak was overcooked. Mine was completely brown throughout. I let our waitress know, and her only response was, "We'll make you a new one," with no apology at all. I also asked for a drink refill, and she took my glass but didn't bring it back for nearly 20 minutes. My replacement steak arrived before my drink did. When I said thank you, her only reply was a flat "mhm." She eventually brought the drink back after I had to ask again. What really surprised me was that no manager ever came by to check in or apologize, even after the issues with the steak. On a Saturday night, the restaurant was half empty--and now I understand why. We've tried giving this location multiple chances, but for the price, you can easily find better food and much better service elsewhere. First time visiting Black Angus Steakhouse with my fiancé and daughter, and it was a great experience from start to finish! We had a reservation and even though we were about 10 minutes late, we were seated right away without any issues. They were super accommodating, offering a high chair or booster seat for our daughter, and our drink orders were taken promptly. We went with the Dinner for Two special -- solid choice, everything was cooked well and tasted great. Our daughter ordered the cheeseburger sliders with French fries, but I think her favorite part of the meal might've been the fresh bread and butter -- she couldn't get enough! A special shout-out to our server Lori, who was absolutely fantastic. She checked in on us regularly, kept our drinks full, and brought such a positive, warm energy to the table. Her service really elevated the whole experience. Do NOT skip the Hot Honey Bacon Brussels Sprouts! Honestly, I could've made a meal out of just those and been totally satisfied. We just celebrated my uncles 60th Birthday and my uncle decided he wanted to sit up at the bar for his Birthday. And I'm so glad we did. Started with the brown bread (pro tip ask for real butter,) upgraded our appetizer to the Sampler of course. How can you not when you get the fried zucchini, potatoes skins, shrimp cocktail and buffalo chicken?!?? No brainer. Then my uncle upgraded to the filet and devoured it. I got the grilled shrimp with the side of crispy shrimp because why not?! And the 2 sides that you must have are the au gratin potatoes and the potato soup. And lastly my uncle was given a Cowboy Cookie for his Birthday and took a Strawberry Cheesecake home. And did I mention we had some crispy giant beers?! What a great night! We went for a nice meal for our Anniversary, we won't go there again. The waitress was annoyed from the minute she came to the table. We waited really long times in between ordering and the food arriving, then when it did arrive, I couldn't cut up my steak because if the amount of grissle and fat, I tried 3 different pieces and couldn't even chew it up, so I asked the waitress about it and she said, I'll get you another one. After about 25 mins she arrived with another piece of steak, this time it was much easier to chew but was overcooked. By this time we decided to just take the dessert home, she came with it in a box, no ice cream like the picture shows, just a cookie and we were presented the bill, which has a $2 convience fee on it, we asked about it and we were told that all credit cards are charged a fee. What a load of crap! It used to be a nice place to go to celebrate, not any more!!! BEWARE, this place has gone down the toilet!!! read more

my wife and I ordered the French dip sandwich. it came with a side salad. The salad was brown and wilted. We saw the French dip pictures on line. The picture had lean pink meat on it. The one we received was dark brown meat with more fat than meat. The bottom bun was soggy from who knows what. The onions were raw. I ate part of mine but my wife couldn't eat hers. My family and I went to Black Angus to do a day of celebration for my mother who recently passed. Our party was set up in an area kept away from others and we had Lisa M. as our waitress. Lisa was empathetic, generous and a fantastic person all around. Nothing was missed and she was always there when you needed her. I decided to try this restaurant. I had the treat yourself or dinner for one which included a starter, an entree, 2 sides and a dessert. For my starter, I had the crispy hot honey Brussels sprouts. The one downside is that there really isnt any description in the menu so I had no idea the Brussel sprouts were made with bacon (which I don't eat) and blue cheese. I had to have the server return it back to the kitchen but they were nice enough to redo them minus the bacon. For my entree, I enjoyed the grilled shrimp with the garden salad (the house vinaigrette was soooo good) and au gratin potatoes. Note, if you order the grilled shrimp, it does come with some rice so don't order rice as a side if you want that. The server was kind enough to tell me in advance. I am unsure if your apple cheesecake is seasonal or not but it was one of the best damn pieces of cheesecakes I have ever tasted. Steak restaurants should specialize in delivering perfect... you guessed, steaks! This restaurant has done a fairly good job at that in the past, however, yesterday I had a less than pleasant experience at their locatipn in Chandler, AZ (101 and Chandler Blvd.). I chose the 16oz Ribeye steak and asked to be medium. When it came it had large portions on both sides that looked charred. When I cut into it, I saw that the doneness was what I asked for but upon tasting it I discovered how bitter it tasted. Now, I don't mind a bit of charring on my steak but the level of charring on my steak was over the top. I was hungry and had some of the steak, then I felt that I should say something to the waitress and manager, which I did in the end. They discounted my ticket, which was nice but I left a bit disappointed that I didn't have my good steak. Hopefully they will correct this in the future. read more
