Hadn't been to Black Angus in a very long time but came here for a date night for the Feast for Two (Groupon) and was pleasantly surprised. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and the seasoning the crust was flavorful and tasty. We ordered a crab cake starter and that was also very good; packed with crab and not too overpowering with season bread crumb filling. My wife had the grilled shrimp, also cooked well. The only negative thing was the au gratin potatoes being somewhat plain compared to the rest of the food. Our server Isaac took great care of us. read more

Steak restaurants should specialize in delivering perfect... you guessed, steaks! This restaurant has done a fairly good job at that in the past, however, yesterday I had a less than pleasant experience at their locatipn in Chandler, AZ (101 and Chandler Blvd.). I chose the 16oz Ribeye steak and asked to be medium. When it came it had large portions on both sides that looked charred. When I cut into it, I saw that the doneness was what I asked for but upon tasting it I discovered how bitter it tasted. Now, I don't mind a bit of charring on my steak but the level of charring on my steak was over the top. I was hungry and had some of the steak, then I felt that I should say something to the waitress and manager, which I did in the end. They discounted my ticket, which was nice but I left a bit disappointed that I didn't have my good steak. Hopefully they will correct this in the future. read more

Pro-tip: For spring 2023 restaurant week, this is a place where you'll definitely get a bang for your buck! Highlights: I couldn't believe the amount of food you get with your meal and even not on restaurant week, you can order these items in a set for just a few dollars more. The New York strip is 12oz and prime rib is 3/4 lbs and they were both seasoned and cooked so well where the steaks were too salty and still plenty juicy. One of our steaks was accidentally made well done instead of medium and the service was so good that they quickly recooked us a new one. I don't personally like fried zucchini or potato skins but my party did enjoy them. The best sides were the five grain rice pilaf and mashed potatoes and their warm molasses bread is incredible. The mud pie was also tasty and enormous. Lowlights: The service was really slow to bring out the food and also brought out the dishes in a weird order so our dinner was quite long. I'm not sure what's traditional for a steakhouse but they brought out the appetizer, then salad and soup, then steak. But when I order a salad and soup as the sides to my steak, I would like the salad and soup to come out with my steak at the same time so I can eat them along with my steak. read more

My wife and I have been coming here off and on for the past 2 decades. It was always a good experience. But the last two visits were subpar at best. And tonights visit 6/2/2026 was just awful. The ambience and the service were excellent as always. But the food, my God. Was awful. We each had the 12 oz Strip Steak. Ordered to be slight pink or medium well according to menu. Both were so tough , it took considerable effort to cut them, much less chew them. It appeared they were very poor quality steaks to begin with. About the same as you would by from Walmart. Neither my wife or I could consume more than a few bites. We brought them home to try and use them in beef stew. Next, the Bread. If tou can call it that. I used to love the Honey Oat warm bread you would start you meal with. Now they are serving a rock hard round softball sized bread. You literally cannot cut it with a steak knife. If you crack the ball open,bit is soft and slightly warm inside. But Hey ? Whats with the iron clad crust ?? On a positive. The baker potato was excellent. The Zucchini was pretty good. Although a tad over cooked. And the Ice tea was superb. But certainly not worth $4.50 glass. So, unfortunately tonights visit will be our last. Guess Texas Roadhouse gets all our business going forward. read more

Didn't bother to introduce herself , stepped on my husband's foot and she was rude. Just handed to us the bill without even asking if we want to order dessert. Ordered a 14oz strip medium rare and the first one came out near a well done hockey puck, calmly asked them to remake it and they brought out a second one that was completely well done around the edges and then raw in the middle.
