I like that they offer the option to choose a half pound--it's the perfect portion for me. The raw oysters were big and didn't quite look like what I saw in the Yelp photos, but they were kind enough to take them off the bill for me. I honestly felt a little bad about it, but the servers were really nice and understanding. The last time I ordered the hot 1-pound shrimp through Uber Eats, it was spicier and had more flavor. Alex our Server is so sweet, Accommodating and extremely helpful. Very knowledgeable and well trained, it shows in her presentation skill, exceptional skills, made our dining experience memorable. We all ordered Fish & Chips, the cod was excellent, breading was a little greasy but it is deep fried so I will get over it! Fries-were good as well, tartar sauce very well balanced one thing missing was Malt Vinegar, they do have it, we didn't ask for it, da! They are dog friendly. I'm a occasional customer at Angry Crab and the food is awesome Friday fish and chips great and gumbo is pretty darn good! BUT tonight was a huge miscue on service! We asked the hostess at the very beginning when we walked in that we wanted to watch a baseball game really didn't matter what baseball game as long as we got to watch MLB baseball. They set us now in front of a TV and then came over and told us that they took baseball game due to the fact that they don't have any of the baseball channel. That's kind of not true cause I was there the night before watching a diamondbacks game. The service absolutely sucks tonight on a Friday night so we went across the way at hurricanes where the atmosphere was lively and absolutely amazing food. Stopped in while in town for lunch. The aromas here was average. There is seating outside if you would prefer. The restaurant was moderately busy for weekday lunch. They had a host and one server for the restaurant. This server ran her butt off. She was very nice but can also only go so fast being one person. They had lunch specials and one of the being for seafood boil items we wanted so that was a very nice surprise. We added a pound of crawfish to that. It was one of the best seafood boils I've ever had. My husband who isn't much for seafood got the spicy chicken sandwich and loved the trifecta sauce on it. We recently moved here from out of state and was looking for some decent seafood in a fun atmosphere. After trying a few other locations, we stumbled upon Angry Crab Shack while out running errands. Hubby and I had a great time at Angry Crab Shack. The seafood was fresh and flavorful. We ordered a bag of head on shrimp and an order of the fried catfish. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The fried catfish was amazing! I'm very particular about my fried seafood and some places try and overdo the fish batter, but not Angry Crab shack. Two thumbs up! Lots of neat stuff to look at in the restaurant to keep the little ones busy. Our server (forgot her name) was super friendly, energetic, upbeat and always had a smile on her face. First time at this location. The hostess was very nice and friendly. She welcomed us with a great smile. She seated us in one of three very small booths. It was somewhat uncomfortable and other options weren't currently available. The server, though nice enough, wasn't very attentive with the obvious like filling low water and taking away trash. The food is average. I had the fried shrimp plate. The batter was lacking seasoning and seemed dry. The shrimp looked like small pancakes. I had the coleslaw and potato salad. The coleslaw was nothing great but I did enjoy the potato salad. I did like the hush puppies. They were good. For the price, I'm not sure I'd come back. Although, at another location, I did have the clam chowder that was pretty good. I would likely order that next time and just stick with that. read more

4/20/26 We splurged and ordered King Crab - $85/lb., along with some bread and vegetables. We were brought the crab and veggies in the same plastic bag which was dumped on the table. The service is prompt and well timed. No matter who is serving/bartending, they are attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, market prices, and specials. Had our first dine-in dinner with this location tonight, Tara, our server was so nice & great with recommendations! Loved hearing all the birthdays going on, the alarm/bells and excitement was a great atmosphere. We had the "Boil for 2" and it was perfect to share, the king crab legs were meaty and so delicious; snow crab legs were juicy (thank you CrabShack for that bc I usually skip these - most places they're dry), lobster tails were a decent size and shrimp were plentiful. I had my first experience with the Angry Crab Shack in Surprise AZ today. I ordered a bowl of Boston clam chowder for my dad. I decided to try a spoonful of the soup. I've tried clam chowder a few times in my life. I didn't care for it. I am now a lover of Boston clam chowder. Man, it was good. A bowl of clam chowder at the Angry Crab Shack was only $6.00. I don't know how they can sell such a good bowl of soup for $6.00 but I hope they continue to do so. My dad loves clam chowder. My mother won't make it for him. I've eaten at similar establishments and competitors so I was excited to try the seasoning and wide variety on their menu. The seasoning was just okay. Not my favorite, a little on the dry side and shrimp was hard to peel which i won't say why but if you're a regular shrimp peeler and eater you know have your theories. I had the snow crab and shrimp with corn and potatoes, it was pretty good, but almost every crab leg too include the claws had zero meat in it. Like zero, completely empty shell. It was perplexing cause how did this crab even live. We asked the staff if this was common, they said in their newest deliveries a lot of people have complained. Which means they know this gender has an issue. They happily fixed it, but if there is a massive supply issue, then I feel you should stop selling the product as many people will not say anything and then pay over $150 for 3 people and get NO MEAT. That's crazy. Again they fixed the issue, with more meatless legs lol. Also, it really needs some sound dampening stuff as it is really loud and hard to hear your group conversations. read more

It was a lot of food. Totally under estimated the amount we ordered. The charred oysters were good but you could definitely taste the char heavily on a couple. They also needed a touch more seasoning but we're good overall. Clam/calamari basket was pretty tasty. My friend got the fish & chips & was happy it. I ordered the scallop basket & subbed four pieces of sausage & had no bottom. I was disappointed that the scallops didn't have more color. They were decent tasting scallops.
