My experience tonight was really 3.5 stars but no 1/2 allowed. I sat at the bar for a casual solo dinner and it was a solid choice. The scampi was buttery and garlicky with that classic Red Lobster flavor. The shrimp were tender but a touch overcooked, though it could use a touch more seasoning for my taste. The coconut shrimp were a highlight: crispy, sweet coconut coating with a nice crunch, and the piña colada dipping sauce paired perfectly without being too heavy. We went here for a special 90th birthday and our group of 9 were given two great waiters who took great care of us. One was named Jasmine and I forgot the name of our other waitress. The drinks were good and the food all came out together. I really like my Surf and Turf dish. And prices were still reasonable for seafood. So been reading the news and sounds like this franchise may not be around much longer. Figured I would try the endless shrimp one last time. Before that, I have to say for the first time I did not like the cheddar biscuits. They were lukewarm at best and way too salty. The shrimp were ok. Was not crazy about the new Marry Me which like a shrimp tomato casserole and the sauce with the linguine was way too thick for me. The scampi was by far the best and the baked potato was fine. The food was disappointing, when I heard sea food boil I think SEAFOOD but it was a mixture of seafood and sausage which was still good. The service was good until two of my family members food were cold and one was even sent to the wrong table. And on mother's day I suspected the service to be up! Yum. Went tonight for the time in years and had a great meal. It was my Dad's birthday and he wanted Red Lobster. We brought my two year old as well and everything went great. I tried the new Mariner's seafood boil with Cajun butter and it was delicious, the butter/sauce had great flavor. The shrimp lobster and crab were all great I also got a side of shrimp scampi because that's my favorite all of the food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. The food and service was excellent. We came to Red Lobster this Monday to celebrate our 3 month anniversary as we got engaged here. As it was Monday we both ordered the All You Can Eat Shrimp. The Cheddar Bay Biscuits came out hot and fresh. The shrimp came out in about 15 minutes. Our second serving was ready about 15 minutes after we told our server what we wanted to try. Everything was great and our server, Lisa, was wonderful. She even brought us an ice cream to share to celebrate our anniversary. This place was so disappointing. The stuffed mushrooms were dry half of them were covered with the seafood stuffing and cheese. The biscuits were salty and overcooked. It's an extra six dollars after taxes. When we walked in, we should've ran out, had to stand and wait for a hostess, who finally popped up from sitting in a booth with a family to seat us .Now they have a side orders and premium side orders. You can't even get a side salad if you're spending over $50 on an entrée, you should be able to get a salad just don't waste your time or money. My mom and I just ate here for an early dinner. A few hours ago. We had to try the new seafood boils and the newly added drinks. The last time we were here years ago, it was not that great and pretty empty and food was not memorable and cold. The waiter came over and he was really nice and went above and beyond on offering extra spices if needed after trying out boils. We agreed and were surprised by a small plate of it, and it was just enough heat to dip our food in. The food came out pipping hot and smelled delicious! Biscuits here are always a hit too, the drinks we had were good but once we started on the Mariners Boil, we stuck with water since we preferred it due to the fruit flavored cocktail mixing with heavy spices, which is just our preference. In hindsight, we should have tried the margarita flight, but next time we definitely will! Portions were huge so we got our leftovers to go. As we were leaving, we saw more families coming in and a lot of pick up orders going out. The waiters and waitresses were all friendly and seemed to be on top of everything despite, which is always a good thing. I had forgotten they offered military discounts but I told the waiter it was fine without after my mom mentioned it. I'm not sure why I haven't eaten at Red Lobster more over the years, but that is about to change. I took a dear friend to the Peoria location for lunch on a Tuesday. They did a solid job of making me want to return, and that isn't always easy. Host and server were both very pleasant and accommodating. Food was delivered HOT, and the servings were very generous. Everything was delicious and well prepared. The only miss was the server didn't check back to see if everything was good after delivering our food. Thankfully, it WAS all good.
