All three were excellent. We started with the caviar pancake appetizer, which was a great way to kick off the meal. For our entrées, we ordered the smoked salmon toast and the chicken and waffles. Both dishes were outstanding. The smoked salmon toast was bright and fresh. I loved the hard boiled egg and dill. The chicken and waffles were a standout. The chicken was crispy and coated in a sticky, flavorful sauce that kept us coming back for more. The waffles were exactly what you want them to be. Between the delicious food, creative cocktails, excellent service, and great atmosphere, Sunday's Best was a great brunch experience. We'll definitely be back!

In this case, I felt the food was good but not exceptional enough to justify the prices. La Condesa is definitely worth visiting if you're looking for a beautiful brunch spot with a trendy atmosphere. However, between the cramped seating, the value for the money, a few disappointing dishes, and feeling rushed at the end of the meal, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. I don't regret trying it, but it isn't a place I'd personally choose to revisit anytime soon.

Our total came to $51 before tip--for two omelets. We expected it to be around $35. We understand that restaurants have had to raise prices, and we don't mind paying more for quality food. What is disappointing is the feeling of being nickel-and-dimed over basic vegetable toppings that have always been part of how we've enjoyed our omelets. The vegetables added to an omelet are so minimal, I don't understand the change. Sadly, this pricing change means we'll no longer be returning. It's disappointing to lose one of our favorite breakfast spots over a pricing policy that just doesn't feel like a good value anymore.

I've been to Brazilian steak houses before and beef ribs are usually the most tender and flavorful especially when there is bone. The server did say it was going to on the chewy side but I didn't think he was serious. Like why would you make meat intentionally chewy? For a $50 dish that came with no sides and worse than what we've made at home it's pretty disappointing. We also ordered a side of the grilled veggies which had some veggies that were so bitter and others that were undercooked and no seasoning. The purple yams were decent and the coquettes but again the pricing for each was exorbitant. Also because they have a somewhat open kitchen style concept the dining room got extremely hot and we were just dying to get out quickly. For two entrees, two sides, one app, a bottle of water and glass of wine a bill of $225 was not worth it. Sadly not a great experience.

I believe completely that it is the server who takes care of you when you go out to eat that makes the dining experience amazing or dull. Sure the food, parking, cleanliness, prices, atmosphere, etc amount to something but nothing truly makes or breaks eating out more than the person who takes care of you when you go out to eat. Some colleagues and I are here in Salt Lake City to open a restaurant my father has to date successfully opened in Seattle, WA and Eugene, OR. We had the pleasure of having breakfast at Black Bear Diner today in Draper, UT. I consider myself very seasoned in the business of dining and extremely particular when it comes to a server and the way she/he represents the company she serves for. I was so in awe over the server your company had on board today that took care of us for breakfast that I begged her to please quit her job and come have a future with us starting immediately. Tracey, did everything my family's engrained in me to be mandatory for a guest to have a 100% positive dining experience. I kid you not when I say that she was on point every step and had a magnificent personality that when blended with the stuff I believe must take place between a guest and server, well every detail of eating out was off the charts magnificent. From the initial greeting with her name and the daily special and offering of beverages to the explanation of the food ingredients, keeping us posted on why things seemed to be taking a while, to our drinks never seeing the bottom of the glass, to pre busing the table when we finished our food and needed a box to go, to thanking us and inviting us back....she was simply superb! I must say it's a real rarity to have such expertise and confidence with any server I have encountered who works in a basic diner. She takes the cake! If she reads this review, I want her to know my offer to double whatever she is receiving at Black Bear Diner remains open indefinitely. She did turn us down unfortunately but she deserves a high five for outstanding attention to detail and presenting your diner in a professional and rewarding manner. If I could have 5 of her in my new place we would see nothing but future growth and an increasing number of regular customers. You're lucky Black Bear Diner. She's a keeper! read more

Came here for dinner with some friends because their daughter works here. I ordered the meatloaf entree that came with soup or salad. Unfortunately they were out of soup so I couldn't get any if I wanted to. The salad came out and two minutes later so did our dinner. It was definitely annoying since I like to take my time eating so I wind up not eating my salad and eating my dinner instead. The food was pretty tasty. Service was okay. Definitely wanted one of their apple cobbler pies but they were sold out so sadly no desert for me. They have a huge selection to choose from and from what I hear their breakfast is great! Overall the food was pretty good but I should have stuck with my first decision to get breakfast. I ordered the meatloaf entrée. Typically I don't like sausage in my meatloaf but it was pretty good. We came to the dinner about 430. It was very slow with only 1-2 other customer. It took well over 10 mins to be sat, we were seen by the cook several times. Once seated service was ok. When the food was served a hair was clearly visible across my omelette. I ask for it to be remade. The rest of my family received subpar food. My "new plate" was seen the the serving window for well over 10 mins. The waitress (Kiara F) checked in asked in we needed anything. I asked for a box and for my food that I never received. The two waitresses working were seen chatting and laughing with each other and the cook most of our stay ant the restaurant. My husband and I went out with our friends to this draper location on a Friday. The wait was not too long and the food was great! We especially loved our waiter Laura who was all smiles and so nice to us. We never had to wait for refills on our drinks and she was so nice to inform us of any changes on the menu and made sure we were happy with what we ordered. Connie was our waitress today and she made my lunch one I will remember, as she introduced me to a new dish I would have never chosen. This restaurant is as fantastic as it gets! They pride themselves on giving huge portions of food so you don't leave hungry and you can take the leftovers home for later. Their breakfast foods are all really good--my favorite is probably the harvest cakes--but I recently tried the Big Bear Burger and loved it. The servers are all so nice and I love the warm atmosphere. You really can't go wrong with what you order, from what I've seen. I love Black Bear Diner. Being a truck driver, I am familiar with several locations across the west. I had an excellent diner at this location in Salt Lake. The service was EXCELLENT despite the wait. The food was fabulous and our waitress, Tracey B. was courteous and prompt with are drinks and refills. I love not having to ask for a refill. The service was slow, the staff seemed uninterested, and the food was not worth the price. I expected better, but the whole experience felt sloppy and disappointing.

I got the sunrise sandwich, the fries were nice and crispy. The portions are huge and the coffee was always hot! We will definitely be coming back.

So I think in talking to most of my friends I got a good view on the food, and presentation. I had a starter of Totchos, and the Beef Dipper for my entrée. Both were excellent, I shared my Totchos. These are tater tot nachos, they were excellent, normally I don't like cheese sauce on Nachos, but given the consistency and flavor of this sauce (house made, I'm guessing. Not canned) They were excellent. The Beef Dipper and Au Jus, also top notch! Generally in a French dip, there is a lot of fatty pieces, this was not that. Also at my table was the Chile Verde bowl, this one has a kick... but my friend having it really enjoyed it. The fish and chips was great, smelled fresh. Lets talk about the sides. Choice of Fries (appeared to be battered fries, always a favorite of mine.) Tots, or house made potato chips. I had the Potato Chips with mine, these were excellent, crisp and tender on the inside. The Athena (Lamb Burger) got rave reviews from one at the table The Service: Because we were in a large group they advised us they were going to be taking our orders as we came in so not to overwhelm the kitchen staff. Excellent communication throughout service given that we were a large group. I talked to one of the Owners, Laurie, I could tell she had a huge sense of pride in the place. Very friendly! The Restaurant: Great atmosphere, Fun artwork, best of all, VERY Clean, nothing sticky or no grease buildup on any surface. The glass ware on the wall behind the bar as all polished. In the bar area they stack their silver, tableware, condiments etc. in a cute little cozy box on the table, with the main dining area setup as a diner with the traditional paper napkin and silverware. For a diner motif to have shined silver and glassware is a nice touch! Summary: Eat here! The prices are reasonable, the food is excellent, when I looked at the menu online I was a little put off by no actual entrée's on the dinner menu, however the in house experience made up for that, it's a pub food vibe and they are doing it well!

service!?!?! is that what you're supposed to call it?? well. ... not !!…read more i stood there right up front, not busy at all!! in fact it was 9:15 pm when i walked in. not one staff to be seen at first! then a couple girls came around zooming by as if they were so busy that they couldn't even acknowledge that i was standing there. didn't bother greeting me, or even at least say welcome and we'll be right with you!! so far not so good!! finally i had to get even closer to the counter. finely one girl finally said. So when we checked in, we received vouchers that were included with our room package. We went down…read moreand were seated right away. Very friendly greeting. Our vouchers were collected as we entered. This was around 8am. There was one low sugar yogurt, some oatmeal, some granola, vanishes, bagels, eggs, potatoes, bacon, and fruit. My inlaws came after and were paying for the buffet. When they checked in, they were told it was $14 a person so no biggie. By 9am (it closes at 10), there was no eggs, no yogurts, and low on drinks and other danishes. Bagels were also gone. This had been this way for at least 30 minutes before we left. Nothing was refilled! When my inlaws got their bill, it says 24 dollars a person. When they asked our server, they said that the hot dishes on the buffet add $10 more on the weekends. This wasn't disclosed by the front staff at all. In fact when my father in law went to the front desk after, they said since they were guests it was only $14 a person. They are adjusting their room bill accordingly. Also, they charge 23% gratuity if you are a party of 6 or more. Yikes!
