Terrible service from the drive thru girl!! Very short when ordering. When I paid, she holds the card reader out and I tapped to pay. I was putting my card back in my wallet and fumbled, looked back and she pushed the reader out with an irritated look on her face with the tip options on the screen. I tipped, not because of good service but because people work hard and I appreciate that they are there working. Collected my food without any acknowledgement or even a "thanks" from her. Drove out and opened my sandwich and it was in the wrong bagel. Pulled back around and let her know via the speaker that I had been given the wrong bagel for my sandwich. Again rudely just said "pull forward". After waiting in line again, I pulled up to the window and she stood just with her hand out stretched. I handed her the sandwich and she made a big demonstration of chucking it in the garbage in front of me and then yelled to others what the correct order should be. No apology, no acknowledgment even that it was incorrect... nothing. Handed me back the new sandwich and I drove away. I get that some people are having a bad day and may be unhappy with your life, but come on... you are in the service industry. Literally ruined my entire morning. read more

The guy at the register seemed to be struggling and was wrapping up something with the previous transaction (minutes after the customer had left), before he turned his attention to me. Been to several Einstein Bagels and this is the friendliest, cleanest, most efficient location by far! This morning we had a less than a 3 minute wait! Even when we've come on weekdays in the morning they are helping the line move so people can get their breakfast to go before work. The longest we've waited was 15 minutes and that was when we had about 20-25 people ahead of us either in line or who had placed online orders in the mobile app and walked up to the pickup area. This morning we got the new maple bagel and the spinach bagel as a sweet and savory breakfast and both were good although they probably would have been better heated so if they ask if you'd like them sliced, say yes even if you don't plan to put schmear because I think that they maybe only heat the bagels if they're sliced? We've also gotten the breakfast bagel sandwiches here and our favorite is the egg cheese and bacon on jalapeño cheddar bagel (if you don't like spicy then the Asiago bagel is also excellent with this). The green chile bagel is another fantastic choice for any breakfast sandwich if you like a little spice. We plan to come back to try the hash brown bagel because what?!? The coffee is a little sour. Not sure if it's the beans or if it's the person measuring (maybe too much grounds and not enough water or maybe the urns need an extra scrub?) But it tasted like a strength thing. Although maybe it's premature so it's possible this is just how the people in charge of deciding the recipes like it. Next time I'll add water to make it less acidic. Overall a fantastic location with friendly helpful employees. There's no drive thru but trust, this location is FASTER than the drive thru Einstein Bagels I used to frequent and a lot friendlier which actually makes a huge difference in your breakfast experience. I cannot possibly be late to anything so when I realized I would be an hour and a half early for work, I decided to pop into Einstein Bros and get some breakfast and a drink! I really like to get the farmhouse bagel--it is packed with flavor and just overall tastes amazing. To make it a one stop shop, I also decided to get one of their iced coffees. When I was given the drink, it literally had caramel all over the side of the cup. I don't just mean a drop or a drizzle, I mean it was covered all the way around in it. Even when the guy handed it to me, there was a string of caramel going from the cup to his hand as he pulled away. No apology or anything, I think he thought it was funny and I just didn't get the joke. The bagel was decent too! The Farmhouse is my # 1, and it's great with the default country pepper shmear, or substituted with honey almond shmear for more of a sweet and savory taste. I just cant understand how a business like this could continue to operate with staff that are completely incapable of even the most basics of customer service. I get it, these types of locations typically hires younger employees with little experience and I get that. This is a great place for someone to learn and develop some skills, but there should be someone one with some leadership capabilities available to help guide, lead or train there staff. There is clearly none of that at this location whatsoever. When we arrived there was only one other customer in the location and 4-5 employees behind the counter. They just couldn't figure anything out. We ordered 2 plain bagels, but requested them to be double toasted with cream cheese. The reason we ordered double toasted is because often times one time through a conveyor toaster barely gets the bagel toasted and not very warm. Regardless of the reason, this is not a difficult ask. When we got in our car to drive away, and began to eat our bagels, they were ice cold with no toast whatsoever. Not that they weren't toasted to our liking... they were not toasted at all, and not even warm. I really wrestled with the idea of returning them, but for almost 20 dollars for two bagels, two coffees and the requested tip, I want having it. This is where things took an even worse turn. I told the same girl I ordered from that they were not toasted and even cold. She gave them to the kid behind here and he proceed to take each bagel that we had partially eaten out of the bag and then physically dissect them on the very cutting board they are preparing other customers food orders. I could not believe my eyes. This clearly shows that not only are they not very smart, but clearly none of the 4 individuals working within a 6 ft. radius had ever had any kind of food service or sanitation training whatsoever. This may sound harsh, but I don't blame any of these untrained employees directly. The fault lies 100% on a manager or owner for not taking the initiative to properly train their staff, and for not having a single employee with any kind of leadership skills or experience to lead the team there on a Sunday morning. Who ever is in charge is clearly incapable of managing a food establishment or young employees. In addition, mine clearly wasn't an isolated incident. The customer in line behind me was returning a bagel as well. He had ordered it toasted with cream cheese. They put the jalepeno cheddar bagel straight in his bag without cutting or toasting it at all, let alone provide the cream cheese he ordered and paid for. Complete failure in management and training. We need more bagel places in Utah! Einstein Bros is one of my favorites! They have a great variety of flavors. You have to go early though because a lot of the time they sell out of flavors. The "shmear" aka cream cheese is good, also have lots of flavors. They got rid of my husband's favorite, the herb one. The employees are always nice and fast at getting the food out. Today was my first Mother's Day after having a miscarriage a month ago. I wanted to treat myself. I should have chosen somewhere else or a different location. Mother's Day ruined. Usually this location is great but today they were not. I have been using the app for loyalty tracking and it works great for that. However, I recently tried to order a half dozen bagels & schmear using the app and it only allows you to get their "who eats these flavors?" fixed "choice" of bagels, plain schmear ONLY with no option to put a custom note. All of the half dozen & dozen options are limiting in the same way. I recognize we are in the midst of pandemic restrictions and app ordering is the only option, but the usual thinking would be that you give the user as many options as possible, not restrict them. It was a wasted trip! End note: The bagels at this location have been consistently good, which is the reason this review is not 1 star. But they are not good if I can't choose what I want. read more

I was so excited to finally try this place. Went in for lunch with coupons. Poor guy helping us was new so we had some communication issues but other than that it was really great. I ordered the thintastic club sandwich-super good. My friend ordered both the honey smoked salmon and regular salmon bagel sandwiches and 1) they looked amazing 2) she confirmed they were. I can't wait to go back and try myself. I loved that they served green tea and it was actually tasty. It's a cute little shop. I was bummed that I hadn't found a nice little sandwich shop since I moved here from Cali but I think I may have found it. I frequent all Einstein's, and recently moved to Sandy so I needed to find my "go-to" Einstein's. Sadly, this one let me down every single time. As soon as you open the door, you're punched in the face with the aroma of burnt bagels. Now I get it, accidents happen and things burn, but I've been to MANY Einstein's and this is the only one that I get that smell at every single time. And it's always extremely strong, sticks to your clothes and hair, and it's just very unappetizing. If you can get over the smell and get to the register, the staff always treats you like you're an inconvenience. I have my usual bagel order and it's always gotten right at other locations, but almost never has it been delivered correctly here: two honey whole wheat bagels, toasted, with honeybutter on the side. Sure, a little time consuming, but I'm asking to do the work of shmearing my own bagel, so it shouldn't be that hard. Well, no. The last time I ordered this, they melted the butter and gave me a cup full of melted butter with a cup of honey next to it. Someone please explain to me how this is supposed to be honey butter, and how I'm supposed to be able to spread this on a bagel?? I was truly at a loss. When I took it up to the front, the employee looked at me like I was the biggest moron and simply said "I melted it." Yes, I'm aware, now please help me spread it? Problems like these occur every single time at this location. It seems like they need a refresher on the cleanliness of the building, how to properly toast bagels, and what honey butter is.
