Great hangout for food and to watch sports in Deep Creek. My group of 12 friends arrived and the food service was as expected for a group that large. The drinks service was very slow, however, and the restaurant wasn't very busy. The food itself was a good quality and the menu had an ample selection for everyone, including kids. None of the ketchup bottles on the tables were filled, so that was one criticism. The restaurant was filled with groups of friends, couples, individuals at the bar, and families, so I think it's safe to say that it's welcoming for everyone. I would recommend this location again.

The vibe of this place was pretty good and the staff was nice. The sports they were playing were reruns from the 90's so I wouldn't go here if you're expecting to watch current sport media. The burger patty was okay and obviously was frozen but the crab cake was one of the worst I have ever had. The crab was oversalted and bland to a point of not being edible.

Such a nice place to eat and not super expensive! The food was pretty good, as well as the service! It felt very welcoming and cozy! I would eat here again!

The ambiance was excellent (big patio with nice views, an area with corn hole, etc), and the staff were friendly, but ultimately two stars because of extremely slow service, lack of communication/apology for slow service, and several dishes with long hair in the food (both in the salad and strung up into several hot wings, so as you pulled the hair it tore into smaller strands). We sent back the dishes and were comped them but a manager didn't come to apologize. Is it so routine of a thing that there was no shock from staff that there was hair and no manager who came by to assure us that this is not a typical diner experience? My $13 chicken sliders were a mess--dry dry chicken and stale bread. I ate two bites and pushed away the rest. The fried pickles appetizer was satisfying and fresh, and the mango habanero mule was delicious, at least. Good luck if you give the place a shot!

Went for Lunch. Decent food and quick service. Seemed like it would be a fun place when it's packed.

One waitress, one bartender. No soap in either restroom. Also no toilet paper in the women's restroom. Place is a dump.

The bartender quickly offered a replacement draft beer, which we appreciated, but it still had the same taste. It may just be that the draft lines need cleaned. It looks much the same inside, rustic & cabin-like (which is nice) they are this year trying to refurbish the outdoor deck (which we used to enjoy with outdoor bar). Anyway, it's a chain sports bar so it's not bad, but it's just the usual TGI Friday type menu in my opinion. I went at lunch on a Friday within the opening hour & the manager was swamped trying to wait tables, bar & bartend before other staff arrived. They have the usual beers on tap, nothing local (not even Loose Cannon, a MD beer), and they do make cocktails (not craft) but basic ones. They have nice happy hour I think starting at 3pm with some specials. I had their rock fish bites app (more batter than fish it seemed but tasted ok) & tater tots. Fine, but not outstanding in any way , the usual fried bar apps. Anyway, it's fine, probably popular with families with kids due to basic menu selections. I prefer other places in DCL though with more creative menus, better tap list etc. I'd love to see the outdoor deck when it gets finished as that would be more appealing in summer months especially if they are able to host live music too.

After making…read morethe drive between Northern Virginia and Ohio for more than 20 years, we couldn't believe we had never discovered Out of the Fire Café before. Anyone who regularly travels the Pennsylvania Turnpike knows how hard it is to find a truly memorable place to eat. This one is absolutely worth the short detour. The atmosphere is charming, the view is beautiful, and the food exceeded every expectation. We had to try their famous mushroom soup, and even though I'm not normally a mushroom fan, it was hands-down one of the best cups of soup I've ever had. The smoked salmon salad was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Filet Mignon Sandwich special, and every bite was packed with incredible flavor. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made us feel right at home and added to what was already a wonderful dining experience. We finished with the Bananas Foster. While it wasn't the tableside flaming presentation you'd find at a fine-dining restaurant, the flavor was outstanding and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. We'll definitely be making Out of the Fire Café a tradition on our future trips. If you're traveling the Pennsylvania Turnpike, do yourself a favor and make the stop--you won't regret it!
