Nestled in the heart of Downtown Odessa, Black Box serves up traditional coffee house favorites and exotic twists. Upon entry, I was greeted with the special menu board that boasted all sorts of peanut butter coffee specials. Apparently a fluffernutter isn't a well know thing (much to my surprise). For those that don't know, a fluffernutter is a peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich and it's YUMMY. Black box happened to have a fluffernutter latte so naturally, I ordered one (hot). My go to coffee shop! The Nitro Cream is delish and the caramel macchiato (iced, of course!) is always a lovely treat! The atmosphere is perfect to catch up with friends or put in some head phones and get in a few hours of remote work. 10/10 recommend! read more

Five stars is not enough of a great rating for this place! I absolutely love everything about Black Box Coffee. From the coffee itself, to the ladies that own and run it. The atmosphere is always so welcoming and friendly. If you are ever looking for a place to host an intimate event this is it, back in 2019 I had my wedding shower here, and I loved every minute of it. This coffee shop is charming as hell! First the ambiance is great: shiny restored tin ceiling, big comfy dark leather tufted sofas with brass accents, a bookshelf, a game shelf (including a magnetic scrabble board!), beautiful art and lighting. Second, the people are warm, welcoming, and very friendly. And third, the coffee was yummy! They were running "Christmas in July" specials, and I got the holiday cookie latte, with almond, vanilla, and cinnamon--so good! As an added bonus they were playing Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas on the TV, and who doesn't love muppets with their morning coffee? I certainly do! If you're in Odessa in the morning, get your coffee fix from them! And if you're not local, make it a point to visit, you won't regret it. So glad to see such a delightful place in downtown Odessa! You can really tell they put a lot of love and care into their coffee shop, and that translates directly to more love and care in the community. Bravo! read more

I've always wanted to try this place but they've always been closed when I got around to go! :( A few months ago I went, and I got a Iced Caramel Macchiato..or a Latte..Whatever I had was delicious! My favorite though was the lemonades! They're DELICIOUS. Highly recommend the coffee AND lemonades!! read more

I couldn't go in because of Covid 19 restrictions. Ordering online was easy and I waited outside until the order was ready. Inside looks nice and welcoming. I had the lavender white chocolate and it was delicious. read more

Best coffee shop around! Great coffee, chill atmosphere and fun/friendly staff. Worth the drive from Blue Springs. Lots of space and they even serve nitro cold brew. Cute lil' coffee shop in the great midwest! Me and my sis came because it had good reviews and the scenery was said to be nice. It definitely lives up to the reputation! Its smaller than I expected, but the scenery is the coolest part of the shop because of the old-time theatrical ceilings, leather couches, and stained glass accents! The coffee is great too! I got an iced vanilla dry cinnamon latte and my sister got "The Gary" on their local favs list and both were great! Others at the shop also got those lattes as well so it must be a popular buy!
