Food, service, good restaurant for older people. Much like Cracker Barrel. Good bread to start with though! Rate it a 3 overall!

We started with the Steelhead Carpaccio. Delightful flavors of salmon, grapefruit, and pistachio prop up the lime cream. All at once makes for a delicious and complex play on a basic Carpaccio. Mains: I went with a Crab Caccio e Pepe, a delicious creamy take on crab and pasta. Just the right amount of Grana Padano and black pepper create the underlying notes for this crab and pasta dish. Delicious. Wife N went with the Blackened Ahi. This was extremely tender, and cooked perfectly (which is to say, absolutely raw with the exception of the flawless eighth-inch sear all around). Fingerling potatoes, horseradish cream and a sweet onion jam routed out the flavors here. Perfect. Place is a bit loud, but has all the vibe you'd expect from an oyster bar. Love Jax! We'll be back next time we're in town!

Our server was very nice and attentive. She was very helpful with the menu as well. The food was very good. I love oysters and I must say for being in a land locked state it all tasted nice and fresh. It is a bit on the pricey side, but if you come here once in a while, it is well worth it.

They are working hard to revamp the original concept and make delicious food from scratch. The double burger with side of tots or fries ($16) or +$3 to upgrade the side to the best hand-battered onion rings is a great value. Make sure to ask for Burger Sauce instead of the usual ketchup and mustard. This is a craveable burger. I love the decor and vibe of this place, with some cool but eclectic memorabilia and license plates from all the states. The dining room is a good size with big and small group seating options. Service is friendly and attentive. It is a sit-yourself situation. The tables and seats are clean (not sticky) and the bathrooms are also nicely clean and well-kept. This place has a lot going for it. I learned that they are having a grand reopening on Sunday June 14, 2026 with an all day happy hour and debuting some new made-from-scratch menu items! Welcome to the neighborhood Huckabuk's!!!!

We also came in a Wednesday because there was a sign that advertised kids eat free. Apparently under the new management, that is no longer their policy. We weren't told that until we got the bill and felt very disappointed and mislead. We talked to the server about it, and they did absolutely nothing to help or fix it. Between that and the wait time, we will not be going back.

I consider myself a Mexican food connoisseur, and frankly resent that I'm writing such a glowing…read morereview for a restaurant so far from Mexico. But this was genuinely some of the best Mexican-inspired food of my LIFE! As a vegetarian, Mexican food tends to be hit or miss when it comes to creative meat substitutes. Blue Agave chose fried avocado tacos as its offering, and WOW. They were truly amazing. Life changing. Well spiced, the right amount of filling in each taco, and the avocado itself was perfectly ripe and fried well without much residual grease. Not only that, but the side beans and rice were incredible. The portions were generous and spiced magically- I could eat just the beans and rice as a dish on its own. I was also astounded by how the grilled corn sauce was thick and saucy, but tasted EXACTLY like elote- some kind of culinary magic. This place may be slightly pricier, but the food portions are large and I cleaned my plate and left feeling stuffed. My companions couldn't finish their beans and rice, and if I didn't think I was going to explode I would have cleaned their plates, too. I'm glad I don't live in FoCo or else I would go broke eating here. I cannot recommend it enough, especially those avocado tacos. I will be dreaming of them for years. The restaurant was a little jammed when I visited and some might find the atmosphere overwhelming, but I would say it's absolutely worth it. Seriously, if you're going to one place in FoCo, go here.

I think it took 45 mins from the time we ordered until the time we got our food, dessert was *slightly* better at about 30 mins. I think we were there for almost two hours, if not more because of the long waits. There were PLENTY of empty tables, so it wasn't packed, but still took forever. For the foods: Coconut shrimp tacos- good but the tortilla wasn't cooked and fell apart and the habanero creama will absolutely throat punch you if you were not expecting it Chicken teriyaki- good flavor, the Brussels sprouts were the best part of the dish. Shrimp skewers-just ok. Braised short rib enchiladas-hubby thought these were amazing, huge chunks of tender short rib that melts in your mouth. It was really good. Tres Chocolate Brownie-Underwhelming at best, feel free to skip this. The blondie- DELICIOUS. Get this one. Served warm, and has that kind of brownie gooey center. It's perfect. Would come back for more if I lived here.
