Huge pirate themed restaurant with crazy wild fun decor. There's a huge steel pirate ship in the middle of the main room and there's all kinds of chains hanging down from the ceiling. All the booths are made out of rum kegs. And are very comfortable. I had extremely good service while I was there and I got one of the boils. Now, while the crawfish was really large and you didn't get very many it was a delight along with the crab and shrimp that was in my boil. Iced tea was really good too. I came kind of at a in between hour between lunch and dinner and I still got very good service even though it was very slow at the time. It's very large restaurant and can host probably 200 people. I would say everything had kind of an Asian Cajun flair. As far as the seasonings and the spices went. Otherwise, you could get traditional seafood, and they had an extremely large menu which I was kind of surprised about. Located right on Harmony it's really easy to find. The restaurant was not busy at all. We waited maybe a few minutes to be seated. The restaurant is decorated really neat. Our party was of 10 people, We ordered and our food arrived fairly quickly. I've tried many seafood restaurants in Washington. I was very disappointed at the flavor here. And Washington they serve a little cup of seasoning and some lemon wedges which sometimes you don't even need to use because of all the flavor. Here I had to ask for lemon wedges because I needed flavor. The server checked on us once towards the end of our meal when several people in our party had been waiting for drink refills. One person in our party did have water luckily they left pictures a few tables away so he was just able to refill his own water. Mind you after six tip is automatically included, which leads me to believe that this is why the server did not check on our table because he knew he was gonna get tipped regardless. The time mind you was $70 which is unacceptable for only checking taking our order and checking on us 1 times with an almost empty restaurant. read more

We had a very good meal with appetizers for an excellent price. The fried foods were very well fried, crispy and not greasy. The boil was tasty and well seasoned. The raw gulf oysters were quite fresh. The entire meal for four people with regular drinks was under $110.00 which I think is a bargain for Fort Collins. read more

Prob some of the most tasteless seafood I've ever had. I am from the east coast so I could be biased, but it was just some very oily sauce with a bunch of barely cooked garlic for seasoning. The food here is great! However our experience here was very soured in Valentine's Day. We called a week before to make a reservation, however they would not let us make one and insisted we could walk in and be seated. Naturally when we got there on Valentine's Day, it was packed shoulder to shoulder with a minimum hour wait. We ended up leaving and eating fast food that night. The amount of food that you get is amazing. I got the shrimp (head off) and the black mussels with added Sausage. The only downside I think is there wasn't enough juice in the bag but other than that. Amazing. My wife got the chicken tender salad with Cajun fries. The was service was excellent because it wasn't that busy. The ambiance was alright, good music, you get a pirate ship vibe. Overall you definitely get a bang for your buck with good food. Another downside is there's no lunch special on the weekends. read more

I went for the fried oysters, bad job by the cook , Half were almost raw the other half were rubber bands. Service was also poor,never had anyone come back until I called them.The server asked how my meal was and I told him, he offered no way to fix it, bad business model. read more

Our seafood boil bag only contained one small corn and two small potatoes (which is not an anomaly, that's what's listed on the menu). It's not a good amount of food for the price you pay. Our bag was literally filled with hot air. It was puffed up like a balloon, and our waiter couldn't explain why. I'm here to cheer for a new restaurant opening, yet also aware some owners may be working out a few kinks. Per the mixed reviews, we decided to make a take out order and ask everything to be cooked to crispy/well done. We normally order our hot wings and fish from other places; so it's not out of the norm for us to ask. We got catfish, hush puppies, and fries. The catfish wasn't necessarily cooked to "well done", but was safe and tasty to eat. The catfish batter was meh- but the house sauce made it all worthwhile. The battered fries were tasty and no one can ever serve me a bad hush puppy. All still hot and freshly made once we got home - less than 10 minutes away. We appreciated seeing catfish on the menu as it's not easy to find at grocery stores/restaurants here in Fort Collins. We'll be back to try more of the menu! Cheers! read more

Captain Hook Seafood was a pleasant surprise. The shrimp basket was just the right portion and the size of shrimp was worth the price. Unlike the dize you get from franchise place. The flounder basket and cat fish platters were also perfect sized and lightly battered which was nice. The combo dinner was Nicky seasoned and very tasteful and the prices were what you would expect. The only two issues was the fish was not fried to a brown and the language barrier was an issue when asking questions about the products. Overall a good place for seafood. read more

Our boils were yummy I got spicy(all in no jalapeño) cause that what I love I got the shrimp and mussels boil and he got the low country boil medium (all in as well) for him. It did have a bit too much garlic & lemon but the taste over all was great. We personally love boils and seafood. They have cool pictures and other things. Service was good & busy. read more

We had heard mixed reviews on this new seafood place, so thought we'd check it out for ourselves. We were there with another couple who had similar experience. Our experience was really quite disappointing. For the two of us we ordered a bowl of clam chowder and the shrimp & clams boil in garlic butter sauce. The clam chowder was actually good, best part of our meal. Flavorful, creamy New England style clam chowder with clams in shell in the broth. Not the best, but we'd have to go to New England for that. The boil had plenty of shrimp and clams, and we really liked the garlic butter sauce (despite others who might question that choice). The shrimp were headless and nicely sized, but not peeled and more than a bit overcooked. The clams were plentiful but none larger than my thumbnail and again overdone. Potatoes were good but the piece of corn on the cob was mush. We asked for bread to sop up some of the extra sauce - they have NO BREAD, only saltine crackers in small packets that are nigh on impossible to open with greasy fingers. Had hoped for a beer with dinner, but alas, no alcohol. Maybe they're still waiting on their liquor license. The former BBQ joint turned Captain Hooks is nicely decorated, but exceptionally loud considering there were only a handful of tables occupied while we were there. Wait staff were attentive and helpful where they could, but don't seem to have assigned tables so we seemed to have a different person every time someone came by. I'd give this place a 3.5 if the .5 was an option. To be clear let's start out by saying. The place is called CAPTAIN HOOK SEAFOOD. I did not and nor should you expect "fine dining". Kind of a fun novelty "theme" restaurant. Where all they serve is seafood. There's a "chicken basket" on the menu. And not a green vegetable in the building. I had a seafood boil of shrimp and muscles any my wife had a FRIED SHRIMP BASKET. The shrimp basket was actually decent. Plenty of shrimp. And a good amount of sweet potato fries. The dipping sauce for the shrimp was really good too. For $16 I think it is a good deal. The BOIL comes advertised with 20 oz of seafood, 2 potatoes and corn. I'll clarify this by saying it's about 1/3 of a corn Cob and 2 potatoes the size of grapes. Do this with your hand that big. A decent amount of shrimp and the muscles were mediocre. I'd say there were 12 and 4 of them were empty. Now when you buy 20oz that includes the shell which weighs more than the meat on the inside. So as far as that goes. There were hardly any. This meal would have been great with a side of rice or pasta. OR maybe an entire corn cob and 8-10 of those potatoes. Would have made the value a little better for sure. As far as taste. It was good. All seemed fresh. Would I go again? Probably not. If a friend wanted to go I wouldn't say NO.... I just wouldn't go on my own volition. Would I recommend it? Sure. 3.5 stars read more

In response to the very first review - who goes to a boil joint and orders butter sauce? Nobody. I ordered the shrimp boil with spicy Cajun sauce and it was delicious with potatoes and corn on the cob. Really nice portion. I couldn't finish it and had to box up the remaining eight prawns. I would have given the meal 4 stars, but they don't have beer just yet as they're awaiting approval on the liquor license. Beer is a critical ingredient with any boil. Once they have beer, 4 stars all day long. Small piece of advice for management - forget about the napkin dispensers on tables. Go paper towels. I'll be back when you have brewskis! read more

It was just okay. I was so hoping that it would be better. I really like the decor and the coziness of the restaurant. It might be partially the language barrier, but the staff was not that friendly. The shrimp & flounder baskets were fine, but they need to offer coleslaw or a side salad to cut all the grease from the fried fish & French fries. Give half the fries & a small container of Cole slaw-it would help a lot! The cheap napkins & the way they bring the forks in a little wooden box, I didn't like. They still don't have their liquor license... we have been lied to multiple times from staff on when they would be acquiring said license. They have no concept of serving customers... The people they do have working there are not all English speaking which in itself is not a big deal but the fact that none of them are actual servers that understand the hospitality space is a problem.
