    Doodling over cocktails.

Divine! Lovely evening at Bistro Nautile with my daughter. We were greeted with a "first timers" pubic announcement and offered enticing menus. I had the Goutte de Citron cocktail with St Germaine, daughter had Pinot Gris. We were going to share entrees but I had a hard time letting go of my belper knoll gnocchi for her West African lamb tbone chops. We resisted the highly touted key lime pie and chose the chocolate cake. No regrets--it was so rich and, well... divine, just like every other bite. Can't wait to return! I'm eyeing the lunch menu right now! (Sorry I don't have more pictures, but we did have fun with the crayons!)

Once again, another excellent meal at Bistro Nautile, excellent service, great atmosphere and of course delicious food. I was proud to support this excellent restaurant who has been feeding the people for Collins for many years, and I will continue to support them. They are without a doubt, one of the best Fein dining options in Fort Collins.

Scallops and a perfectly balanced sauce and dish.

We have dined at several places in FoCo and Bistro Nautile stands well above the rest. Service is exceptional. Knowledgeable and informative on pairings and best selections. Food quality is also exceptional. When you're debating whether the scallops are 4 star or five, life is pretty damn good. We had the oysters, salad, and swordfish. All extremely good. I saw a one star review on Yelp and wondered what planet the reviewer came from. We've eaten at several 4 and 5 star places in Denver and Bistro Nautile crushes all of them.

I found this place on Google, as I am visiting from out of town. I was looking for a French or influenced local spot. Looked like it had great reviews! I booked a reservation. I sat at the bar and had a gentleman greet me and serve me, as well. Great wine list. I ordered a bottle. I found out later it was 25% off Wednesday for full bottles. I ordered oysters to start with & half baguette. The herbed butter was fabulous with the warmed bread. Oysters fresh and popping with flavor. I love horseradish so that was a bonus. I'm not into crackers, lemon, cocktail sauce or minionette but they had all the stuff. I ordered a fall style salad with bitter greens, apples, sesame seeds, candied giuanciale and candied pecans with white balsamic viniagrette and red onion. Balance was elusive though. Too many sweet elements. The pecans were halved overly sugar crusted and clunky. Just not necessary. Everything else worked fab together. Next I had a greens wrapped pork tenderloin over homemade spaetzel. The plate came and was SO messy. A pile of sliced meat over a pile of dumplings and a dollop of some kind of balsamic gel The overwhelming smell of garlic was a bit disconcerting and the micro greens atop wilted before arriving. Once I had a few bites the garlic moved aside for a more mustard note. The dish, albeit cooked properly, was a mess to look at, too rich and just not cohesive. It needed more balance! I also ordered a flan dessert to take home. It had great flavor but a clunky undercooked dough. Yuk. My server was pleasant and we exchanged funny quips and discussed music. He seemed to enjoy working there. I left a 20% tip on the total before the wine discount. I got a cold reaction from the server upon leaving. Not sure if it was a reaction to my tip or just lack of courtesy, but did not get a Thank You for coming in or any acknowledgement. Lame! Lack of balance in the dishes was my biggest observation and portions were over sized.

From the moment we walked in we knew it was going to be a great experience! Greeted warmly at the door by Kat, we were seated immediately and told the specials. We ordered oysters and wine and then Jenna took over. Same charm and kindness! The oysters (East Coast) were delicious! Hubby ordered the Mahi Special which was sooo good, perfectly cooked and fresh. I had the Halibut which was also cooked spot on with greens and sauce that were fresh and delectably flavorful! We would order both again and again! We highly recommend Bistro Nautile for excellent seafood!! Get reservations as it's not a big place!! Loved it!!

The amazing Scallop Crudo. Highly recommend. The flavor is perfect.

Everything was so pleasant. Loved our waitress. We had a secluded back corner table that we enjoyed. Had scallop crudo, the best. Blackened Trout, super tasty and the side salad was so good with beets. Crispy Gnudni had delicious sauce and veggies. I loved that Kat "recommends" wines on the menu. Helps us decide between all the numerous choices. Will definitely be back.

I tried Bistro Nautile for lunch today. One of the owners, Kat, was our server. She was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the kabocha squash & carrot kinpira soup and the crown & hazel dell mushroom tartine. Both were delicious!

We came here for our 22nd anniversary. This is the former "Fish" restaurant. Same owners, just rebooted with a new theme that focuses on sustainability. We had an excellent meal, with generous portions, and great service with character. We liked everything we ate. Good wine list too.

A lot of interesting things on the menu! Our server was also so funny and attentive, it was a pleasant experience overall. The oysters here were some of the best I've had, for a decent price too! My pasta and clam chowder were good, but I heard that the trout was the best which I regret not getting! My fiancé loved his dish which was the special for the night, and as much as my fiancé could gobble his food, he had a good chunk of leftovers due to how massive the food was. Definitely want to come back for oysters and to try other items on the menu!

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food. The mussels - which were on the happy hour menu - were a standout.

Neighbors and friends kept telling us that Jax flew in fresh seafood daily and, although it is pricey af, it is worth the cost. So we tried it. And dammit if they weren't right. They had several types of fish that day (my husband was so excited to get fried catfish). I had the cioppino, which is honestly my favorite of all west coast seafood dishes and they nailed it. We started with the Steelhead Carpaccio. Delightful flavors of salmon, grapefruit, and pistachio prop up the lime cream. All at once makes for a delicious and complex play on a basic Carpaccio. Mains: I went with a Crab Caccio e Pepe, a delicious creamy take on crab and pasta. Just the right amount of Grana Padano and black pepper create the underlying notes for this crab and pasta dish. Delicious. Wife N went with the Blackened Ahi. This was extremely tender, and cooked perfectly (which is to say, absolutely raw with the exception of the flawless eighth-inch sear all around). Fingerling potatoes, horseradish cream and a sweet onion jam routed out the flavors here. Perfect. Place is a bit loud, but has all the vibe you'd expect from an oyster bar. Love Jax! We tried them at Mountain Cowboy, LOVE the drinks and atmosphere of this local hangout...but sadly, haven't loved any of the food trucks we have tried. This was a last minute, let's go try it before they closed for a special event. I had the lobster roll plate, my husband the brat. First it was very disappointing to see hardly any food for what we just paid. Barely 3 bites of coleslaw, it was good, but hardly got any. Dill spears were limp and almost mushy, and a bag of chips. The lobster roll was cold, like VERY. Maybe it was supposed to be cold, I have had a roll from another truck it was not cold. I think room temp would have been ok, but it was a shock to bite into something that cold. Like I said, large chunks of meat, but overall such a small roll that tasted ok. While my husband said the brat was good, again, just so sadly small and IMO grossly under portioned, especially when I think of what we could have had elsewhere for the about same amount of money. I was not looking for plates piled high with food, but at least had a decent amount, again...for the price, $22 was rather steep for what did end up on the plate.

But this was genuinely some of the best Mexican-inspired food of my LIFE! As a vegetarian, Mexican food tends to be hit or miss when it comes to creative meat substitutes. Blue Agave chose fried avocado tacos as its offering, and WOW. They were truly amazing. Life changing. Well spiced, the right amount of filling in each taco, and the avocado itself was perfectly ripe and fried well without much residual grease. Not only that, but the side beans and rice were incredible. The portions were generous and spiced magically- I could eat just the beans and rice as a dish on its own. I was also astounded by how the grilled corn sauce was thick and saucy, but tasted EXACTLY like elote- some kind of culinary magic. This place may be slightly pricier, but the food portions are large and I cleaned my plate and left feeling stuffed. My companions couldn't finish their beans and rice, and if I didn't think I was going to explode I would have cleaned their plates, too. I'm glad I don't live in FoCo or else I would go broke eating here. I cannot recommend it enough, especially those avocado tacos. I will be dreaming of them for years. The restaurant was a little jammed when I visited and some might find the atmosphere overwhelming, but I would say it's absolutely worth it. Seriously, if you're going to one place in FoCo, go here.

Decided to try something new and took my father-in-law there for his birthday. We had reservations for 6:30pm and as we arrived, a large bus full of 50 college hockey players also arrived. It took us over 30 minutes to have somebody take our drink order and another 15 minutes for those drinks to arrive. We were seated with a happy hour menu, which was over and I had to ask the bartender for a drink menu and wine list. My water glass was very dirty and nobody ever came by the table in 90 minutes to refill our water. We were seated right next to the bar too. We were continually informed by our waitress and a barback that things were slow due to the large party in the other room. After 90 minutes passed and we still had not received our food, we asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came to our table, she did not introduce herself, so we had to assume she was the manager. Rather than own the mistake, she proceeded to throw our waitress under the bus. Our waitress was great and doing the best she could, but the restaurant was severely understaffed. They offered us free bread. We finally decided to get up and walk out and leave without being served our food. The manager chased us out the front door to bring our food in to-go boxes and as we were leaving, the entire hockey team was also leaving and getting back on their bus. So in the time we arrived for our reservation and after 90 minutes without being served, they came, ate and left. We were told this was a learning moment for her waitress, however, should be a learning moment for management to staff appropriately or just close the restaurant down to feed 50+ hockey team members. We won't be back!
