What a beautiful coffee shop. Hot chai latte was the best I've ever had. They have a small selection of pastries and 2 or 3 breakfast sandwiches/burritos. Pricey but you know that from the look of the place. My husband got the macchiato, which they warned was "a traditional macchiato". Looked like a shot of espresso with creme I think. I'd come back. Love their coffee! I found Black Oak Coffee when I saw their coffee for sale at Costco. I was intrigued when I noticed they are from Ukiah and wanted to check out their location ever since then. I was in town recently and ordered a latte and a bite to eat. Everyone was very friendly and the service was quick! I ordered a cold Spiced Brown Sugar latte with oat milk and a bacon breakfast burrito. The latte was great as expected. It wasn't overly sweet, but had a nice balance with the oat milk. The breakfast burrito was piping hot and delicious. There was plenty of egg and bacon inside and their green sauce was excellent. I also purchased a light roast bag of coffee for a gift. They offer to grind the coffee on their whole bean bags. They have their own parking lot and there is also street parking available. Their indoor seating is big and spacious. There is plenty of outdoor seating is available as well. They have a new location in Healdsburg that I want to check out. read more

I'm so charmed by Black Oak! Been meaning to try this place ever since one of my friends raved about them a few years back. I was in town last fall and finally made my way there. I absolutely loved the vibes here. Super friendly and inviting staff, cute little patio setup, and a delicious breakfast! I rarely ever drink coffee. And if I DO drink it, it's because I really REALLY need a pick me up. I was running on just a few hours of sleep and had planned a coastal hike in Mendocino that morning. If you know anything about the drive from Willits/Ukiah to Mendo on the 20, you know that it's a super windy road that demands your attention. Yep, def needed some coffee before that drive. Ended up stopping here for a quick little breakfast on the way there. I actually didn't intend on eating it there, but their cute little patio was so inviting and the weather was nice, so I just said what the hell and went for it. The interior was closed due to COVID, but it was so cute! I have a thing for cozy coffee shops, and Black Oak is definitely an eye catcher. Sky high ceilings and warm décor. I'm all for it! Plus, the baristas were super sweet and helpful. Ended up ordering their spiced brown sugar latte and a classic breakfast burrito with bacon. As I mentioned before, I'm not really big on coffee. So, it makes sense why I wasn't the biggest fan of the latte. I thought that maybe it would be sweeter but the coffee taste was too strong for my liking. It wasn't too bad, but I'd definitely go for one of their teas next time. What's nice about Black Oak is that they actually have a nice variety of teas on their menu too. But that breakfast burrito, though! Now that was delicious! So simple but so thoughtfully executed. It was large and filling. Perfect for something quickish before my hike. Picked up a nitro and cap on a Sunday morning. The shop ethically was nice and service was good. I think the nitro was solid while the cap was lacking in my opinion. The cap tasted bitter and the steamed milk didn't bring out the well rounded subtle sweetness I prefer in a solid cap. read more

While we were passing through Ukiah, I really wanted some coffee. Initially, I was kind of skeptical since I saw it being advertised on one of the road signs off the freeway, but this coffeehouse is legit lol. I ordered an Iced Lover's Lane Latte, made with wildflower honey from a local farm and garnished with bee pollen, which was delicious (and sounded romantic)! Definitely able to taste a hint of the wildflower honey. We love scones so we also picked up a mango pistachio scone they had that day. It was yummy and had the perfect crumbly scone texture. The space is inviting and nicely decorated - you can even view a part of their facilities where they roast their coffee beans. I've been ordering Black Oak coffee beans to my door for years, ever since my workplace started serving it back in 2017. As someone who drinks their coffee black, I like my coffee to have a robust flavor but maintain smoothness. Both can be said for their Black Bart and Duomo medium roasts. Finally had the opportunity to try their coffees in person since I was passing through town, I was not disappointed. Of course, the coffees were great, but so was the service. I also tried a couple of their pastries and they paired well with the coffee - fresh and tasty! Enough so that I stopped by twice in during our less than one day stay. LATTE - my husband said this was his favorite latte on this trip - rich foam, slightly burnt caramely flavor, not bitter, smooth. my cousin brought me here after i heard my mom raving about how good this place is, i got the lavender latte and almond churro cookie both were insanely delicious and with so much flavor, this was the first ever time i've gotten a lavender drink and it actually taste like lavender, roasted lavender at that, the cookie was scrumptious too and it tasted exactly like a churro, the parking is limited so keep that in mind, the customer service was excellent 10/10, they gave my cousin a blueberry muffin instead of the scone she asked so she went back to get it exchanged and they refunded her the money for the scone and gave it to her for free! i love how they let you do everything yourself as far as you add the sugar to your drink and a lid if you want one there's a whole table for it, the indoor and outdoor dining areas are cozy and welcoming, i love this place read more

Fantastic coffee, expertly crafted. Oat milk lavender latte, Lovers Lane latte (with bee pollen and honey from Lovers Lane Farm), savory scone, and a vegetarian breakfast burrito. All were delicious. My sole complaint is that they charge extra for salsa for your burrito, which was not advertised anywhere but on my receipt after purchase. We found ourselves here based on a recommendation of a friend who's from the area and couldn't be happier we took him up on his advice. We were driving through Ukiah on our way back to LA from Fort Bragg when we ran into this gorgeous coffee shop. It's pretty big for a coffee shop with ample seating inside and outside. They have a great selection of coffee from lattes to espresso drinks. Everything seems to be crafted really well. They also had a few pastries that looked amazing and a couple of sandwiches. The baristas were very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable; their latte art was superb. You can really see the impact that Steve Ford made here.
